"You got to know what you love. And you got to get a real kick out of it, or there's too much damn trouble in it to spoil this affair of living from beginning to end, if you let it. Why not live it for the beautiful things, even if you were a bit broke?"
"I'm very happy to be unimportant and live in a place that has love and beauty. Art and love, that's what makes the life worth living."
- Valerie Voze (Amsterdam - 2022)

Tom Voze X Reader Cute Caring Prompt with brief angst and a happy and hopeful ending
!TW: Implied suffering from an illness, implied suffering from depression, unintentional self-harm/self-violence, mention of wound (not particularly detailed), anxiety, mention of drugs/medicine (antibiotics), mention of mental institution/mental hospital, mention of mental episodes, mention of traumatic experience, suicidal thoughts/hint of wanting to die!
This is a different adaptation of this character
“You really need to rest, Y/n,” Tom stated when he found you out of bed again, “let yourself heal after the day you’ve had. Why are you even out of bed right now?”
“I just - I don’t want to be stuck in bed,” you whined, and Tom sighed heavily, shaking his head as he began to lead you back up the stairs, intending to get you back into bed so you could get some more rest.
“That’s not a reason, Y/n,” he claimed, “that’s an excuse.” You groaned, but decided to give in to him, knowing that you protesting against him would get you nowhere.
𖣴
“The more you talk, the weirder this gets,” Tom remarked; you were exhausted, but trying to act as if you weren’t, resulting in you messing up your sentences which you were trying to make clear and lively. “Come on, you need sleep,” he concluded, and you groaned, shaking your head, but he wouldn’t listen to your protests, guiding you back up the stairs.
𖣴
“How could you hide this from me, Y/n!?” Tom shouted, a hurt look on his face; he’d just found out that you’d apparently hurt yourself during one of your episodes, and had been hiding it from him.
“It’s really nothing for you to be so worried about, Tom,” you claimed, your voice barely audible; you hadn’t intended to worry him like this.
“Nothing for me to be worried about!?” Tom exclaimed, and you rolled your eyes, before you turned your head away. “But, Y/n, that wound could easily get infected, you need antibiotics,” he stated, trying to calm himself down as he needed to think.
“I wish you’d just put me into a mental institution,” you murmured, and Tom’s train of thought faltered. “I’m a burden on you,” you mused, and Tom shook his head quickly whilst he felt his heart sinking.
“I could never do that to you, Y/n,” he responded, “I love you too much, and I can’t imagine having to live without you. You’re my soulmate.” You shook your head gravely, your eyes clouding over with tears. “This isn’t your fault, none of what happens during your episodes is,” he added, “you can’t control yourself, the only factors to blame are your father, and how you had a traumatic experience as a kid.”
“You should leave my wound to bleed out,” you continued despite what he had just told you, and Tom shook his head.
“Well I’m not going to,” he replied, “I’m always going to be there when you really need me to patch you up.” Tom then called for Mrs. Moranne, the maid in the house, to bring the medical kit to him so he could tend to your wound.
𖣴
“I know how to keep a secret,” you whined when Tom left Valerie’s room after talking quietly with her, and he smiled softly when he noticed the look on your face.
“I know you do,” Tom reassured you, lifting his hand to your cheek, “but this is a secret about your birthday coming up, and I don’t want to ruin the surprise I have for you.”
You realised, and a soft smile began to play on your lips. “Tom,” you gushed, “I told you you didn’t have to do anything for my birthday.”
“And I told you I would never not do anything for my princesses’ birthday,” he reminded you, and you couldn’t hold your excitement back as you pressed your lips against his, smiling widely against them.
“I love you so much, Tom,” you expressed, before you threw your arms around him.
“I love you even more, Y/n,” he returned, before he returned the hug, lifting his hand to stroke your hair as he knew you liked it whenever he did it.

The Mosley Review: Amsterdam
Aw yes. It is the season of the Oscar caliber films that feature the best in storytelling and acting. Well, this film definitely does that in a not so conventional way and I liked it for the most part. When it comes to the "whodunnit" stories set in a period piece that's based on real events, it can be tricky on how you approach it. You want to tell the true story while adding your personal flare while not diluting or trivializing the lives of those that were involved. Its a delicate tight rope to walk especially when its sort of a twisted origin story. This film does deliver all of those aspects while having a fun charm about it. It stayed serious when it was necessary, but also played coy and danced around topics with sometimes nonsensical dialogue. The murder mystery aspect felt fresh in its execution as it jungles with so many characters and all were surprisingly relevant to the plot. There were moments for me where I wish the film stopped diverting from plot forwarding dialogue. It took me out of the film a few times and felt bloated. Like I said before, this film kicks off the season with an all star cast that at this point can be considered generational.
Christian Bale is nothing short of perfection and I loved him as Burt Berendsen. He was quirky and fun as he would narrate the story and go against the grain with his medical practices. John David Washington was great as his lawyer friend Harold Woodsman. He was charming and their chemistry was immediately powerful as they survived World War 1. Margot Robbie dazzles as the artistic and romantic nurse Valerie Voze. The chemistry between her and Harold was great as their love blossom's throughout the film. The bond between the three of them is what held the film together and I enjoyed watching them go on this spiral of a political murder mystery. Rami Malek was great as Valerie's cagey pacifist brother Tom. He was so calm and sometimes intoxicating with his words. Anya Taylor-Joy was truly the most unlikable character in the film as Tom's wife Libby. She would always do her best to discredit and bring down Valerie and Anya portrays this character expertly. Mike Myers was awesome and I loved seeing him do something more dramatic as Paul Canterbury. He still has his comedic charm and impeccable delivery. Michael Shannon was great as his American companion Henry Norcross. The pair of them together was excellent and I loved how they bounced off each other when it came to their double meaning behind their dialogue. Robert De Niro was excellent as you'd expect and this was a cake walk for him as his portrays Gil Dillenbeck whose based on the historical army vetern Smedley Butler. There were some tense moments his character was in and he never flinched.
The score by Daniel Pemberton was light, ethereal and supported the more tension filled moments toward the last act of the film. Visually the film is stunning as we get a romanticized version of Amsterdam and the dirty and progressive view of New York City. The biggest problem I had with the film is that it felt like a parody of itself at times. The story would start to go down this awesome path of discovery as the clues start to form, but then it would quickly dive into a dream state or whimsical story that has almost nothing to do with the moment at hand. I was intrigued by the murder framing of the characters and their efforts to clear their names while exposing a corrupt organization. Not stories about birds and drugs. Writer and Director David O. Russell has brought together yet another all star cast and made a murder mystery that defies convention which was a positive, but also it a detriment to its overall plot. Let me know what you thought of the film or my review in the comments below. Thanks for reading!

♔ announcing MARTINA ALEXANDRA, PRINCESS OF ITALY ! in a recent portrait they seem to resemble MARGOT ROBBIE. it is a miracle that SHE survived the last five years and for that reason, they are FOR the kingdoms working together. reflecting on them now, they remind me of WARM TEA, THE HARABELL SMELLS AND LAKES.
basic information:
FULL NAME: Martina Alexandra Aurora Rinaldi
NICKNAME(S): Marty, Tina, Alex
BIRTH PLACE: Italy
BIRTH DATE: July 2nd
AGE: 28
ZODIAC: Cancer
PRONOUNS: She/Her
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Laurent Florian Bourbon (BETROTHED)
PERSONALITY: INFP
CHARACTERS INSPO: highly inspired in Constance Blackwood (We Always Had Lived in A Castle) book, Lux Lisbon (The Virgin Suicides), Valerie Voze (Amsterdam), Rapunzel (Disney Cartoon), Sleeping beauty, Aurora (Disney)
--------- bio ish
Martina Alexandra Aurora is very observant kind of person, since a child. There’s never a ‘bad’ time for her. She always tries to find positivity in everything.
She’s closer of her twin brother. Overall, she gets along with all her brothers.
She was overly protected at home, not having much liberty to do certain things like her brothers, but she was satisfied with her 'bubble'. Also very deprived to do things for being the only girl of her family.
Also she’s very ‘artsy’ per say, could spent hours drawing or creating something different or ‘ugly’ in some point of view but for her she finds beauty in odd things. Either way this is how her parents tries to keep her busy indoors... It all started when they buy her material for arts.
She loves to dance, also could spent hours and hours dancing or play some violin cello. She likes parties but isn’t a party kinda of girl. Her hidden talent is to sing.
Contrary of popular belief, she is not good a flirter, in fact she’s awkward, never know how to take compliments or let people closer, unless if they’re her family.
She tries not make deep in a relationship with anyone, because she knew in a way or another her father would find her a betrothal, and she was okay with it (just a matter of a time so she’s enjoying what is last from her solitude) . She understands it’s part of ‘deal’, but so far she never fell for anyone.
When the plague came (she fell ill, almost died but miraculously recovered) she stayed more indoors, more than she normally used to aggravating even more her agoraphobia (she already had but developed during the time of plague). She also has phobia to horses, but handle them very poorly. Only used them when it's necessary. (In a carriage because she can't see the animal).
She loves swimming and do some physical activity on her spare time.
more to come...
