Equality and diversity at the University of Oulu #34

Equality also encompasses ensuring accessibility for all individuals, promoting fairness that acknowledges and respects diversity, ensuring that…

Since I was screaming at the TV at the cast forgetting all the cool stuff they've done, I've decided to live up to my blog name and list all of my favorite Bells Hells achievements:
Those towers in Jrusar are now forever haunted by a little girl with a flower basket
Won the deathwish race
Took down the Paragon's headquarters in Bassuras
Saved Imahara Joe and Dancer + united them to help save Exandria
Zephran tourists are forever banned from flying the glider thingies
Saved the city of Uthodurn from a massive celestial bull
Helped the Hearthdell village
Gathered and united the two shards of Primordial Titans bringing their powers back to life
Saved Keyleth's life after the Solstice
Were the first ones to infiltrate the malleus key and step on Ruidus that weren't Ruby Vanguard
Stablished communication between Exandria and the Volition
Exploded Ludinus' headquarters
Saved Evoroa and brought the first ever Ruidian to Exandria
Killed OTOHAN THULL
Reunited Imogen with her mother and are now fully bringing her to their side
Have met pretty much every single pc and important npc in CR history save for a few
Trapped Delilah forever and got the closest to killing her anyone in history could since she REFUSES TO DIE
Helped kill a Grand Demon trapped for a 1000 yrs under Aeor (tho I'll admit they mostly fumbled about for that one)

The only good news concerning our recent engagement was the return of “Bull” Randleman the next morning. Randleman had been reported as missing in action. Wounded and cut off from the rest of Easy Company, he took refuge in a vacant barn and waited until nightfall. Before long, a German soldier entered the barn to scout it out. “Bull” bayoneted him and concealed the body with hay. Then he covered himself and hid until the following morning when he was rescued by soldiers from A and D Companies. Randleman was typical of the NCOs in Easy Company, and the fact that he had stood on his own two feet, behind enemy lines, and had not lost his composure said a lot about the company’s ability to function in combat. Private Tony Garcia, one of his squad members, described Randleman as “big and tough: tough not only against the Germans, but also in a milder way with his squad.” “Bull” talked slowly, but he had a commanding presence. If you needed to get the company up in the morning, you did not need a bugle. You just put Randleman in the middle of a field and told him to have everybody fall out. That was all you needed. No matter what kind of job you gave him, he got it done. He was extremely dependable. And the men loved him.

Me and my brother casually discussing how we would survive in One Piece/what we would do first:
Me: I'll pull a classic isekai move; find a stable island (somehow), open up a small shop, and stay the hell out of the way. Maybe I'll open a betting ring based on the newspapers, but there's no way I'm getting involved.
Brother: Bitch you went to theatre school. You're joining the Buggy Pirates the first chance you get.
Me: ....
Brother: I've had to sit through your MULTIPLE rants on how the series treats clowns and the logistics of how they would run a pirate circus.
Me: okay but-
Brother: YOU WORK WITH CLOWNS!

i think light yagami is "socially adept" in terms of being able to reason out relatively well what to say and do to come off as a harmless and good and polite young man who is likeable to be around. however i do not think "socially adept" (or "neurotypical") typically comes with having to preface every other normal-passing action and statement with a minor crisis of "ah shit. quick, what would i say/do in response to this if i was light yagami, a normal and nice and respectable young man?"
everyone likes to talk about him talking about kira in third person but can we acknowledge that he also talks about LIGHT in third person. i'm not adding manga panels at 3:57am but y'all know exactly which ones i mean

not against the proliferation of pitch correction in the sense that i think it's somehow ""cheating"" or that i care if someone edits their vocals in any way but incredibly wary of the assumptions that seem to underlie its near ubiquitous use; that the perfectly pitched version of a song is necessarily the most beautiful version and that the most beautiful version is necessarily the artistically superior one. assumptions which i feel have terrible implications for both the quality of the art and the self-image of artists

pokeani moments that exist purely to make Me miserable:
the line where they call ash's oshawott a throwaway pokemon in the unova league so they're just flat out saying they think it's a worthless pokemon
to thine own pokemon be true (extra angst points for me bc ambipom was my second favorite on the team at the time)
the granddaughter of the guy who trains gliscor calling gliscor pathetic and weak to her face despite gliscor being an extremely sensitive pokemon
pretty much everything about that gible
blue episode (favorite color but they made it a fetish somehow and also dewott and brionne and meowstic are all there and its so bad)
boxing heracross immediately. also that battle frontier episode where it's literally the only returning ash mon (barring torkoal i think but i dont count it bc its native to AG) to get humiliated onscreen
pidgeot returning but gliscor didn't even show up in the miniseries despite being an Actual Character

Loving all the takes on Hoffmans humanity n the psychology behind his eventual hissy fit but I feel like the biggest glaring issue in that mans psyche is the complete loneliness. Angie was his only family, she died. His workplace relationships all fall flat no matter how much he tries to socialize and then they all die too (by his own hand, sure, but you see what I mean right). He's hopeless but not in a needy way and people find him offputting. He doesn't even have any relationships of note with the jigsaw gang, John degrades him for bad work and Amanda loathes him for never being tested (and for being a cop), and who knows what Larrys got against him but it's clearly something bc he keeps sending him thinly veiled threats. Like it's just Hoffman and his huge honkers in this cold world. Then they put him in time out?? Baby he needs a therapist.
