Smoked Wood Cookie

"Welcome to the Spire of Deceit." "Don't hesitate to call me for help."

Smoked Wood Cookie is the butler of the Spire. He's kind and polite to anyone entering the Spire, friend or foe. He's in a relationship with Vanilla Extract (Truthless Recluse) and the father of Black Saphire, Candy Apple, and Smoked Vanilla.

Smoked Wood entered the Spire as a child around the same time as Vanilla Extract. As an adult, he adopts both Black Saphire and Candy Apple before starting his romance with VE, from which Smoked Vanilla was born.

Due to an injury on his wing, Smoked Wood can no longer fly.

Smoked Vanilla, also known as Soothsayer Cookie, is the biological child of Vanilla Extract (Truthless Recluse) and Smoked Wood and the adoptive sibling of Black Sapphire and Candy Apple. They're a prideful and sarcastic cookie who does like their family deep down.

Where Vanilla Extract reads with cards, Smoked Vanilla uses their precious pendulum to read the future of their guests.

What if the beasts were defeated but the ancients weren't able to recover their soul jams? In this au, when killed by the ancients while defeating them, their soul jams were teleported to their most trusted adversaries as a last resort to prevent them getting their half of the soul jam

THOSE COOKIES ARE

Vanilla Extract cookie: The new King of Deceit. He was Pure Vanilla cookies son and oversaw the formation of the Creme Republic during/after the dark flour war. He was frankly a horrible ruler, extremely narcissistic and ruled with fear rather than compassion like his Father did. When the Creme Republic started discussing splitting off from the Vanilla kingdom, he became enraged, especially at his old friend who was the first to bring up the idea to others in the republic, Elder Custard cookie. He lashed out, starting a small war over it that he ultimately lost when his soldiers joined the Republics side. He fled, and eventually made his way to the spire of shadows where he now resides. With some help from Shadow Milk cookie once he was freed, he spread deceit from the shadows to weaken the Creme Republic to eventually take back the control that, he thought, was always his.

Once he got the soul jam in this au, he was enraged and shocked that Shadow Milk was actually defeated, and used the soul jam to take out all his pent up rage on the Creme Republic, with Black Sapphire cookie and Candy Apple cookie aiding alongside all of the beasts of deceit from the spire. He captured all of the elders and actively tortured them, Mulled juice and the sea elders less so, and Custard MUCH more than the rest, to the point Custard would've died if Extract didn't want him to stay alive and be tortured. He would get redeemed when, after a confrontation, he gets the chance to kill his father... but he can't go through with it. After hearing his father say to do so if it made him happy, he just completely broke down, leaving room for Pure Vanilla to redeem him.

Cloudberry cookie: The Paladin of Sloth. He is Wildberry cookies grandfather, currently residing in the sugar paradise. Originally he was a soldier for the Hollyberry Kingdom, but he absolutely hated it. He's a teddy bear and a full pacifist, he hated being in a job that required fighting, but he didn't really have a choice at the time since he needed to provide for his family. Honestly, even though he never saw her, he was terrfied of Hollyberry cookie, thinking of her as an intimidating queen. One day while working with a shipment, a crown fell out that no one seemed to notice. He picked it up, planning to sell it for some extra breathing room, but he heard a voice coming from it, Eternal Sugar cookie. With this, each beast here had an accessory that allowed them to communicate with the wearer, even while they were in the tree. Due to this crown, which Cloudberry cookie came to cherish, she convinced him to leave it all behind and join her in the Paradise. Admittedly, he fell for her HARD and absolutely adored her when she was freed from the tree.

Once he received the soul jam in this au, he admittedly broke down. In his mind, Eternal Sugar cookie saved his life and infinitely improved him, it destroyed him that she was now gone. With that, he wanted to carry on her will and make every cookie happy, so alongside another oc Poppy Cookie, he went for the Hollyberry kingdom. By powering up Poppy cookie with the soul jam temporarily, he was able to basically gas the hollyberry kingdom with Poppy pollen to cause nearly the entire kingdom to fall into a deep, eternal sleep, save for one. Hollyberry cookie. He's redeemed when Hollyberry cookie goes around the kingdom with him, showing and explaining that eternal blissful sleep isn't nessecarily a good thing, and pain is what makes them feel alive. He feels horrible for his actions once he realizes them and wakes everyone up, willing to help Hollyberry cookie from now on.

Curry Peacock cookie: The Sultan of Destruction. He's been with Burning Spice cookie in more ways than one even before his fall, waiting for millenia for him to return. He worked as a sort of peace keeper within the temple, making sure tribes didn't destroy everything with dumb fights. As much as he got annoyed with the spices for the trouble, he did still care for each and every one of them, especially Pepper Pangolin cookie who he viewed as a close friend.

Once he received the soul jam in this au, he immediately knew what it was since he was informed of the safeguard ahead of time, and rushed to organize the armies of spices. His goal? Destroy every last server of the Golden Cheese kingdom. If she was going to take his world, he would take hers right back. It took a long fight, but eventually.. some of his soldiers started turning to flour... including pepper pangolin cookie and Cilantro Cobra cookie. Coconut dragon cookie had done it, their section will be the end of this, and he started panicing.. but golden cheese understood. She took this chance to talk with him, explain how destroying her kingdom wouldn't bring back Burning Spice cookie, and with this Coconut Dragon cookie was their shared enemy. Curry reluctantly agreed, and ended up joining up with her in order to help the rest defeat Coconut Dragon cookie.

Glorybower Faerie cookie: The Soldier of Silence. Shes a few hundred years old and the estranged daughter of Elder Faerie cookie. She heavily disagreed on how the beasts were dealt with, believing caging them like, well, beasts wasn't the best way to handle them. It caused a lot of tension and that, alongside being picked on often for being unable to fly (her wings aren't damaged, shes just never been quite strong enough no matter what she did), she left, waiting for a chance to get back at them and joining up with Silent Salt cookie as soon as he was freed. After a bit, she ended up viewing him more as a father than her own and was extremely loyal to him, alongside a brother figure that one of my friends made called Rogue Knight cookie.

Once she received the soul jam in this au, she was absolutely destroyed since, aside from Rogue Knight, Silent Salt was the primary family she cared for, even fully going silent to honor him. She ended up looking to destroy as many Faerie villages as she could in her grief, both to let out her own rage from her past and to try and draw out white lily cookie to face her head on for what she did. This also caused some tension between her and Rogue Knight, as he knew that the mindless slaughter of faeries wouldn't help, but she didn't listen. White Lily cookie was eventually able to get Rogue Knight on her side and with both of them, they stopped her and finally managed to convince her that this wasn't the right way to go about the loss, even if she was grieving, and since Rogue Knight joined White Lily, it got Glorybower to join them aswell.

AND FINALLY

Coconut Dragon cookie: The God of Apathy. They're the estranged child of Longan Dragon cookie, banished about 100 years before Mystic Flour cookie fell due to them getting some of Longans advisors effectively killed, turned to stone, while tinkering with some of Longans eye things. After their banishment, they ended up in the Ivory Pagoda, never asking anything of Mystic Flour and simply enjoying being with her, working through things on their own. They waited the whole time for her to return after being sealed in the tree, keeping the Haetaes company even when only a single one remained. They married her a bit before she fell and constantly flirts with her even now.

Once they received the soul jam in this au, similarly to Glorybower Faerie, they went fully apathy to honor her. They hid the soul jam on their back under their robes, using their dragon gem on their chest as a decoy due to how similar they looked. With their dragon magic and the soul jam combined, they were able to spread flour much further, to anywhere they could to continue her legacy.

Unlike the other new bearers, they are never redeemed. Even after they break from apathy a bit near the end, they are truly sadistic in nature, and ended up becoming similar to the Parent even if they swore in the past they never would. With the combined forces of the soul jam and the 5 dragons, they would be defeated. They aren't dead, but they might as well be. Their dragon gem broke a ton during the fight and they were barely able to flee, without the soul jam, thanks to Cloud Haetae cookie. The dragons all thought they'd die soon since they've never seen a dragon damaged their gem that badly and live for more than a week, but they're barely hanging on currently with a LOAD of help from Cloud Haetae cookie. They likely will never be able to even try taking the soul jam back again

Lost Shepherd (Time Travel) AU

In which Truthless Recluse doesn’t experience rebirth and awakening upon shattering his soul jam, but the explosion of his and Shadow Milk Cookie’s combined power in a twisted space where all time coexists as one sends him back in time to his childhood.

When Pure Vanilla Cookie searches for his lost sheep, he finds a lost shepherd to take home as well.

Extract AU. Chapter 2.

Part 1.

A known voice echos in his mind and Extract relives the events that transpired. The separation with hateful poisoned words from Shadow Milk Cookie, who he'd come to love followed by the events of the Beast-Yeast war. The beasts had been sealed away once again but not without casualties. Dark Cacao Cookie had fallen into a never-ending slumber while White Lily Cookie had sacrificed herself to make sure Dark Enchantress Cookie would never be alone, even as she turned to nothing but crumbs and dust. It took years for all of Earth Bread to move on, but they did... Just not Pure Vanilla Cookie. He remained in place where he had lost the ones, he loved the most.

Its just part 1 but ima take a break to work on other unfinished projects. Like stickers and animatics! Can you tell tho that I originally was just gonna sketch it out but then realized just lining was just as quick? I dont have smart select on Krita, as far as I know anyway, so lining correctly will take just as long. I also need to make a ref for ShMilk cuz he looken alittle squished on the first two lol. I'd have redone it but I just wanted to post it at this point.

Something something in my little AU/hc ridden brain PV and Custard Cream met during the guy's pilgrimage. The guy was one of the first official denizens of the Vanilla Kingdom and both gradually formed a strong bond up until PV decided to elect Custard as his Premier, both because he was fit for the job AND because he trusted him.

As for how he's managed to be sticking around for so long? Let's just say PV may or may not have subconciously allowed him access to his souljam's constant life powder supply, thus elongating his lifespan by a good chunk. I'm normal about these old coots(LIEE)
