Forget blenders and the cuck chair, here's a bunch of other things Armand did with Daniel in QotD that we don't think about enough:

Mounted giant telescopes on the roof of the apartment building they lived in and then moved out a few days later only to do it all again in a new place

Did the same thing but filling the apartment with computers and video game machines

Went to boxing matches

Collected specimens and microscopes and went to biology classes

Hung out on the stoop like normal new yorkers except at like three o clock in the morning

Went out with video cameras and interviewed randos on the streets

Watched videos of Armand reciting latin poetry into a camera for hours

Watched videos of Armand's hair growing in his coffin until Daniel got the heebie jeebies

Took planes to random places all night just for the sake of flying for hours on end

Shaved Daniel 'as lovingly as an old fashioned barber'

Bathed Daniel and then re-dressed him in dirty clothes, because who needs clean laundry when Baryshnikov is gonna be on stage in twenty minutes

Went treasure hunting in the Caribbean and found entire shipwrecks

Bought a random piece of property in South America and found an emerald mine

Bought yachts, speedboats, and not just one but four private jets

'Supervised' the measurements for Daniel's custom clothes and his shoes

Bought Daniel sports coats, robes, silk scarves, mink lined raincoats, jeweled cuff links, and a black suede cloak (which probably didn't help with Daniel's demands to be an actual vampire and not just cosplay as one)

Picked not only the fabric for Daniel's clothes at a the tailor but also picked what he'd wear every night once the clothes were ready, and then had fits if Daniel wore different socks that didn't go with the outfit

(said socks being silk socks, which fall apart after minimal wear, and which Armand could afford a hundred pairs of anyways)

Went out on a speedboat and stole the boats, guns, and money off drug dealers

Stole multiple Maseratis, apparently

'Recovered' lost works of the old masters aka went into some guy's house like it's Ocean's 11, drained his blood, and then took his art collection so Daniel could flip it at Sotheby's

Bought cruise ships

Bought entire restaurant chains

Bought entire hotel chains

Hacked through the jungle and visited Mayan ruins

Somehow took Daniel up to the peak of Annapurna, which is more dangerous to climb than Mt. Everest

Visited not just places in Europe and the US but also Tokyo, Bangkok, Cairo, Damascus, Lima, Rio, and Kathmandu just to name a few

Changed out of the white suit he picked Daniel up in in Chicago and into a black one on the plane just for the drama of it

Turned Daniel on the bed of one of those four private jets, where he almost certainly evacuated all of his mortal fluids and probably left a cleaning crew very confused and concerned

Brought Daniel a whacked out orphan half asleep in an armchair to feed on for his first kill because Daniel was tripping too hard on his new vampire vision to function

Made Daniel wear matching couple's costumes to the Halloween concert all his exes would be at, and where Daniel followed him around hanging onto his belt loops

Sheltered Daniel and Louis with his body when Akasha tried to blow shit up

Swapped out the paintings in Night Island every night while Daniel grilled Khayman about the ancient world

...probably a million other things which didn't make it into the book because Lestat's publishers didn't give him enough pages to montage all this shit (but that you can explore in fic anyways because the world is your oyster and nothing is too outrageous for the two of them ♥)

Omori: VC Shenanigans Masterpost

@tuusenarts played Omori for our friends and I in vc chat. We decided to voice act over the whole game while no one but he was aware of the plot.

Break The Narrative AU intro post

I wanna start talking about the au online and such especially since I plan on eventually doing some art and writing + having friends that??? Wanna make and have made art for my au?? Insane. So this is a sorta semi masterpost. Questions about the au are like always welcome.

What’s it about?

Break The Narrative is basically an au with Click Clack (and later on Thespius) at the focus. Basically, the sorta figurative wall that keeps Click Clack from fully affecting the narrative of his world and such gets broken. Things that he would narrate without acknowledging are now things he can fully acknowledge and he can now enter something known as The Narrative Void. The more he tries to edit The Narrative, however, the more that things go awry in ways he could never predict. It eventually turns into them trying to control the “script” of the world, nearly destroying it in the process.

Timeline of events below the readmore

- Someway, somehow, something goes wrong and that little like glass wall between Click Clack and the game narrative gets cracked and breaks

- Click Clack can now actively interact directly with the script of the universe he’s in. Full awareness and such

- It’s a good story, but, well, the god of storytelling can always do a few edits

- butterfly effect of all time, he edits one thing, something else changes in a way he didn’t want

- hm. Click Clack vc well i can fix this <bearer of the curse

- He cant fix this, actually. Every time he edits the script something goes wrong. What the fuck. He’s the god of storytelling he’s supposed to be the editor of everyone’s stories how is this not going right

- it gets to a point where he’s actively fighting the narrative and the narrative is reacting to his meddling. Imagine if you had dev tools but the dev tools were calling you a bitch. That’s where Click Clack is at

- Of course, no one else has awareness of the narrative bc Click Clack was the one that would narrate it out loud. The wall is much stronger for everyone else. But they can see that he’s getting so much worse mentally and it’s. Strange

- Like hey. Is click clack supposed to be melty and have a cracked mask. Wgat the fuck is happening

- also him often going missing from his domain. Which just can’t be good

- Click Clack just wants to get some kind of control over the narrative at this point. It’s not about editing the story now it’s that he wants to have control over the story because the story keeps fighting him

- it gets so bad, in fact, that the narrative goes “ah, but this is a love story, isn’t it”

- You Can Now Play As Thespius(/ref)

- Now Thespius has narrative awareness. Which is *insane* to be hit with bc at this point Click Clack is like in a full spiral

- Because like. How long has Click Clack been messing with the narrative? How long as he been going back and forth? How long has Thespius been unaware of Click Clack going through all of this???

- Click Clack is aware of the narrative. Then Thespius becomes aware of the narrative. Then Click Clack realizes that Thespius is Aware Now

- Oh god. Oh fuck. Oh no. Click Clack wake up you fucked up big time your not-boyfriend knows what you’ve done. You dumb bitch

- Click Clack gets worse because instead of being like “oh Thespius is worried because he cares” he’s like FUUUUUUUCK EVERYTHING BAD FOREVER I NEED TO BLOW UP

- So he keeps fucking with the narrative. He keeps changing things, it’s getting to the point where everything’s just breaking completely. Everything he tries to fix gets worse. He’s the god of storytelling and he can’t even fix the story.

- uhhh something something Break The Narrative name drop. Sorry

- End up in front of a glitched out rift that’s freaking the fuck out, he’s a big inky just absolute mess of a monster. He’s only just barely recognizable through a mask that’s just pieces by now

- Thespius is standing on the spire. The realization hits him that he’s been played into the most convoluted roleswap known to man.

- He’s the villain now. Of course he is. Of fucking course he is.

- of course, at this point, a few other gods have caught on as well. Keeping with the convoluted roleswap thing, he gets so upset that he starts trying to rewrite what’s happening.

- he can’t

- why can’t he rewrite the characters

- ….when did he start thinking of them as characters?

- when did his friends stop being people?

- He finally crashes. He gives up and collapses from the stress and exhaustion

- He passes out. The narrative is finally given enough time to fix itself.

- Click Clack wakes up. He’s in his office. What day is it? Is his mask on?

- …Godpoke walks in. It’s. It’s like nothing happened

- ….theres signs, here and there. That this all happened. Things that the story didn’t clean up. Didn’t edit out.

- ….They all know it happened, don’t they. If he remembers then surely the others do too.

- Well. It’s time to resume our play, isn’t it

WOTFI 2024 is finally here and I had so much fun watching it! I've even watched it a few times already!! I'm so glad this was my first ever live WOTFI, it makes me wish I knew of SMG4 earlier but alas! I'm still so happy I found SMG4 and it's wonderful community the way I did!

As said before this was my first live WOTFI, since the episodes release at 9AM for me I had to put on my alarm one hour before but I shut it off fhjkdsa

So you can imagine my panic when I had to make my breakfast 10 minutes before it started

Not my greatest planning but I managed to (somewhat) make it on time!

WHUH HAPPEN

Loved the spin off of Mr Puzzles' jingle, I knew I was going to get it stuck in my head the moment the lyrics switched

I was amused when Puzzles re-enacted his life, thought he'd give a little more meat to work with but I'm glad he just explained what we already knew. Some of his charm lies in the mystery that is his life

"So I did what any ambitious, misunderstood young soul would do... I locked myself in my room and watched TV all day!" So real tho-

Final thoughts of the games, this year's WOTFI challenges were delightful!! They were all very clever from the audience and well chosen from the crew! Congratulations to the folks that got their prompt in!

In an actual redemption arc, I can see Puzzles as the most loyal motherfucker that you've ever befriended, that man is going to go to the edge of the earth and fight for you if needed BECAUSE you're his friend and that is so lovely to me

It's cute how he's trying to tell Leggy where to go, where to hide and just how worried he is of her

Mind you, the contrast between Puzzles being worried and SMG4 and Mario wanting to curve-stomp that goomba to death is hilarious fhdsjka

Oh this scene now- lots to unpack

First: Adore how this scene plays out, I love the portrayal of Puzzles' meltdown, induced by grief, sadness, anger and frustration over how things are playing out. It's a big "I'm supposed to win! Why don't you let me win!" moment, I simply adore when those happen.

The pitiful cries when you don't get your way when you've meticulously planned everything and done Everything to get it, and do everything did Puzzles indeed try

Second: The colors, the dramatic red light, the destruction of the park out of anger and overcharging it seems

It's basically a tantrum

Third: The voice acting is phenomenal, and that's been said all throughout the Puzzlevision arc, Brendan (Mr Puzzles' voice actor) is so good at his job- he's perfect in those high pitch inflictions of emotion and the lower threatening tones, that scream is chilling and painful

Fourth: I can try and decipher that blue screen

In his system, Puzzles is programmed to shut down if damaged. Which is CRAZY TO THINK ABOUT. His OWN SYSTEM shuts down to prevent damage to himself.

Also he's SPEAKING THROUGH THE BLUESCREEN, he's actively saying No to "Safe Mode" and REFUSING any repairs his system suggests

Puzzles has become a rage horror monster and I'm here for it, the horror elements do go hard when they're played

It also tricks you because you know the melody so well until UH OH!! WE'RE IN DEEP SHIT!! LET'S GET THE FUCK IN!

IMMEDIATELY threateningly playful I LOVE IT!!

It sounds so much like the songs in Nightmare Before Christmas, Kidnap Sandy Claws, Oogie Boogie's song, it has their same vibes! The same devilishly playful with their victims kind of vibes and it's RIGHT UP MY ALLEY BABY

It has SUCH an energizing beat too!! It makes you wanna jump in your seat to the beat!

The set up is so fun too, purple is an interesting choice to go with.

I cannot stress enough how GOOD THE VOCALS ARE TOO I WAS ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT

AND THIS PART. GOES EXTREMELY HARD. THEY ALL LOOK GREAT

They cooked with the choir of minions fr!! They sound great together!!

The chorus of the song is just as catchy as Creative Control, I had worries that I wasn't going to like this one as much as CC but I was SO wrong!! It's right up it's alley! They both have their strengths and their unique way of presenting Mr Puzzles, I wouldn't be able to decide which one is "better" since they both have different points to send across

Creative Control is jazzier, it taunts the crew and introduces Puzzles as the master villain with a bit of backstory, it's used to show the control on the crew both visually and lyrically with Puzzles putting them in different scenarios while singing how they can't leave

Meanwhile Puzzlepark, while similar in the controlling part, has more going on. It's not just Puzzles trying to control/stop Meggy, SMG4 and Mario, it's also them fighting back when they couldn't in CC. It also has the rest of the group trying to detain them, mind-controlled by Puzzles. It's crazier than just putting them in shows and popular culture references, it's throwing things at them, attacking them and messing with the world, trying to enact revenge yknow!

I particularly like when Meggy and Puzzles sing together, their voices contrast well

"But it's time for you to die now." Haehah! Hello!! This is the part where I kill you!!

AND A LAWSUIT ARC REFERENCE TOO!? OH I'M IN HEAVEN!!!

The lyrics scratch at a very nice part of my brain, I think SMG4 has always had a knack for rhyming, they've perfected it over the years and it's paid off well

And combined with the change in beat it goes for extra points, mwah!! Chef's kiss!!

"That child is gone... Six feet under right WHERE YOU AND YOUR STUPID FRIENDS BELONG!!"

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PART FUCKING EVER!!!! THEY ABSOLUTELY COOKED

✧ In The End... It's For The Better...

They like using the trope of going inside a character's brain/heart/whatever to talk to them huh...

I'm not saying it as a bad thing! It's just a pattern I'm sure we've all noticed! I think it's cute!

SMG4 wouldn't be SMG4 if they at least didn't Try to save their villains, sure there's distasteful ones like that lizard that absolutely deserved it, but all the other villains had redemption arcs, heart to hearts, sympathy before dying... SMG4 is about chances, finding your people and having a heart even towards those who wronged you, even if in the end the worst happens to them

And I think that's beautiful

Regardless of having a heart, however, Meggy has the absolute right to be angry at Puzzles, maybe it wasn't right but I don't blame her for snapping at a kid, that kid Is Puzzles after all

I see two possible interpretations of Meggy becoming Leggy one more time: either- Truly to get close to Puzzles and become a true friend, or simple manipulation to get him to stop. Either are possible in my book, maybe with a little more thought I'd be able to know which one but for now I remain satisfied with being skeptical on this one, I don't care to find what the real intentions were since I know the ending.

Plus nothing is in black and white, there's a lot of layers to Puzzles' and Meggy's relationship........

And speaking of that ending-

✧ Final Thoughts

Believe me when I say I think this is the best possible ending for Puzzles, he doesn't die, he doesn't get completely redeemed, but he does face consequences and he gets a chance for the future, best of both worlds me thinks

I loved this rollercoaster that was Puzzlevision, I might've hopped on the train sorta late but I stayed for all the duration of the ride and I had a blast <3

Mr Puzzles was great and maliciously loveable, learning about all these characters and growing to care about them was amazing, I'm really happy I have a new series I can watch and analyze and enjoy!! I'll be remaining in my seat with my one ticket until I get off the SMG4 train, not sure when!! But until then you can expect me to still love this show, draw for it and analyze it much more than any reasonably normal person should.

Purgatory Pissa Masterpost Part 1:

Look guys Missa hasn’t streamed again since day 1 of the event! So I was thinking to make it easier for artists and fic writers to remember canon moments. And I am HAVING thoughts. And feeling the need to yet again be “normal” about my favorite cubitos.

Let’s be honest. Philza was so happy to see Missa was online it was adorable. In Philza POV he practically started the zooming into Missa from the top of the wall. HUSBAND SPOTTED! And the amount of joy between them seeing each other again! THEY MISSED EACH OTHER SO MUCH!!!

Then Missa! Finally got a little brave and practically demanded Philza to give him a HUG. And guys I squealed watching it live. And philza immediately GAVE his husband a hug. And then tubbo immediately was like “are you guys gonna kiss and shit?” And PHILZA broke. Like HMMM why you hesitating why the confusion. Like DO YOU WANNA KISS HIM YOU REPRESSED CROW-

Then we also have to talk about THAT scene. The scene where quite frankly Missa just stared at his husband pecs as Philza canonically flexed- causing Philza to quickly get shy. Missa is so down bad that even I was like “MISSA PLEASE!”. This is the same man in the same stream where he legit called a painting of Philza “papacito” which I learned is like the Spanish version of “daddy”. Which Missa was very judged by his own chat for. It was hilarious. Cubito Missa was a different breed of simping and yearning this stream. I wish I made all of this up, but nope IT HAPPENED CANONICALLY. AND THEY EXPECT ME TO BE NORMAL?!?

But what everyone should focus on the most is when cucurocho said quesadilla island was a paradise. Mr Simpfonia himself immediately agreed because and I quote “Philza is here”. THIS IS BIG! Because EVEN Missa knows the island is horrible. Chayanne is gone for Void Sakes. BUT ITS PARADISE TO MISSA BECAUSE HE LOVES PHILZA- I’m so normal about this dudes. Because even spiderbit can’t say the island is paradise because they met each other on the island, but Missa casually says it like it didn’t rewrite pissa warriors brain chemistry. Something something Philza is comfort and safety to Missa. He loves Philza so much. Truly a bleeding heart with loyalty so strong it’s titanium.

And can we all talk about how Philza when they were separated waved goodbye to Missa when Missa back was turned? Philza doesn’t show affection through words. But by actions. Something something he is already missing Missa. The tsundere crow. JUST ADMIT YOU LOVE HIM-

Also Missa before all of this showing off his aquarium apartment. And casually says “The point is so Philza doesn’t notice so we can stay close to him” BITCH ITS PHILZA AND MISSA FOR A REASON! Did you forget the double bed?!?!!!? Pissa love each other so much it’s slowly becoming a obsession. Not to mention mISSA in general hauntings Philza thoughts (dude checked the map to see Missa when he died-) we get it Philza you love him and are sad you got spilt up. ESPECIALLY BECAUSE YOU NEVER GET TO SEE YOU HUSBAND AND MISS HIM-

Another great moment is when Missa heard his own team mates saw Philza and immediately was possessive and protective DESPITE THEM ACTUALLY BEING ON ENEMY SIDES was like “No don’t hurt my man”. Missa wants his husband to be safe. And nice to know his possessive streak is healthy as ever. Philza is HIS man. I swear Missa we get it- YOU LOVE HIM. THEY MAKE ME CRAZY. And guys it was a experience watching Missa POV. Because he was ignoring all the death and chaos in the chat BUT the moment when Missa saw Philza die his whole face changed expressions. Philza was the only death he reacted too I ain’t lying.

Now for the best part of the stream, Missa causally entered the VC of red team. And I quote “I’m not part of your team but I wanna tell you I love you guys”. PHILZA IMMEDIATELY SAID I LOVE YOU BACK. Of course everyone else was suspicious of Missa being so nice and called him a manipulator while Philza immediately was like “No he wouldn’t do that”. PHILZA TRUSTS MISSA SO MUCH-

LIKE WE UNDERSTAND! You guys are always on each other minds. We were fed so much! And I can’t wait to see what other cute pissa moments we get in the future- I hope you enjoyed my rambling essay. Have you ever been reading Devil’s Minion and thinking to yourself, “damn, I just can’t nail down a face for Daniel”? Have you watched Interview with the Vampire and felt like neither Christian Slater nor River Phoenix hit the mark for you?

Allow me to introduce you to James fucking Spader.

Look at him! Is that not the face of Daniel, completely fed up with Armand feeding his cigarettes down the garbage disposal?

He’s got the naive and beautiful face but ALSO the defiant yet beseeching thing down! Also he was like 22 here, which is right around the age Daniel met Armand so he’s at peak Healthy, Pretty Molloy here. No wonder Louis decided to take him home!!

Look at him snuggled into his blanket in Tuff Turf, like Daniel hungover and forcibly woken up to honky tonk piano tunes!

But the deliciousness doesn’t end at his looks. Because in true Molloy fashion that man said ‘you know what? I wanna make movies for freaks and weirdos only’

In Sex, Lies and Videotape he plays the sweetest pervert who loves interviewing women about their sex lives, video taping it, and then watching them back naked but not actually getting off! He’s impotent, he’s a gentle and lovely weirdo, there’s vampire!Daniel fodder for days in this one.

Crash is a horny flick that defies all explanation and really you need to go in blind if you’re gonna watch this one, but let me just say this: If Spader and his Wife in this film aren’t the most Daniel and Armand coded couple in cinema history I will eat my shoes. Also there’s tons of beautiful footage of him driving around at night with his blond hair ruffling in the breeze.
