I was devastated when they put Luka on a bus in Migration! It wasn't fair 😭! That it became a bit of an open secret that he knows both identities is crazy to me, and I just couldn't help but think what Adrien could be thinking. A lot of people know about Marinette, but what about Adrien? I imagine it would do so much health to his psyche if he could talk about it with someone and Luka would have been perfect. Maybe there's a chance in later seasons!

"we like each other" - lukadrien oneshot
(this is a lot longer than i meant for it to be but i hope you enjoy)
adrien! wait!" luka had no idea how he got into this situation. one minute he was talking with his sister on their houseboat and the next he was chasing his friend down the streets of paris.
adrien seemed to pick up speed with every few seconds that passed. oh how luka wished he participated in a sport of some kind.
"please, adrien! stop! please!" luka yelled in his friend's direction. he tried his hardest to catch up but eventually became too winded to continue. adrien turned a corner and disappeared behind a random store. luka slowed to a stop and tried to catch his breath.
what was going on? why was adrien running away? luka tried to think back to the conversation he had with juleka, in case adrien heard something that sent him on his way. nothing came to mind.
he pulled out his phone and shot a few texts to adrien, telling him that he was sorry for whatever adrien heard and that he hoped he would tell him what he and juleka did wrong.
he retraced his steps back to his boat. once he got on deck, he ignored his mom calling out to him for dinner prep and made his way to his room. he plopped down on his bed and tried to find answer which posed to be very hard without knowing adrien's thoughts.
luka snatched up his guitar and attempted to strum his way through the problem. he didn't know why it bothered him so much. obviously, adrien didn't want anyone to know what was bothering him but luka couldn't help but think that it was all his fault.
ten minutes later, a tap on his window caused luka to jump slightly. he snapped his head towards the sound to see cat noir peering in.
"you gonna let me in, guitar boy?" the cat-themed hero joked. luka stood and opened the window, still confused as to what was going on. cat noir leaped through the small circle gracefully and landed on the bedroom floor in a cat-like pose.
"what are you doing here, cat noir?" luka's voice was low and barely above a whisper. cat noir stood up and shrugged.
"i don't really know. i heard you were the one to go to when stricken with turmoil,"
"i guess i am," luka chuckled. he could've sworn he'd seen a slight blush form on the hero's face but he decided to chalk it up to the odd lighting in his room. "what seems to be the problem, cat noir?"
"well," cat noir started, "i heard...ladybug and...rena rouge, yeah that's right, talking about me, possibly maybe, and i'm just feeling insecure."
luka raised his eyebrow at the story. it didn't sound like cat noir was saying something that really happened. he noticed the way he seemed to search for his words even more than a normal person stumbling over their words would.
he let it go, "and what did they say?"
"i don't really know, they didn't say my name at all, but i just felt like their words were towards me."
"and how did you hear these words?" luka furrowed his eyebrows in deep thought.
"i, um, you're not gonna judge me right?" the hero's voice sounded small and luka wanted to reach out and physically comfort him but felt that might be too much.
"of course not."
"i was eavesdropping," cat noir seemed to move farther and farther from luka, hunching his shoulders to hide.
"maybe, they knew you were listening and tried to pull a prank on you."
"well that's just mean! i mean it would explain why you-" the hero stopped himself and frantically moved his eyes around. "i mean they-"
luka tried not to laugh, "adrien, i know it's you. you can detransform now."
"what! no! i'm not that pretty model boy, i'm just an average guy who really has to go," cat noir tried to scurry past luka but he blocked the window.
"adrien, it's okay, no one has to know that i know. but please i need to talk to you," luka reached out to grab cat noir's, who he was sure was adrien, hands. "ladybug and rena rouge are supposed to be me and jul right?"
cat noir avoided luka's eyes, "claws in," a nearly blinding neon green light filled luka's room. luka blinked away the spots in his eyes and saw his friend who he had just chased a half hour ago.
"adrien...talk to me."
"can we- can we sit?" luka nodded and moved his guitar off his bed. he patted the sheet covered mattress and sat down. adrien sat and began to fiddle with the ends of a blanket luka had.
"tell me what's going on, adrien."
"i heard you and juleka talking earlier," adrien tried to not let his emotions show but failed almost miserably.
luka knew it was about that! he kept his thoughts to himself as it didn't seem like the time. he was also confused. they never mentioned adrien by name, they didn't even allude to him. how could he have taken it so personally?
"but-"
adrien cut luka off, "wait, let me finish, or i'll never be able to say it."
luka pressed his lips in a line and urged adrien to continue.
"yesterday, i asked juleka to ask you if you liked anybody. she told me she would try her best and to come over today to hang out so she could talk with me. i got here a little too early and...heard you say no."
"what?" luka was confused.
"i was so heartbroken that i dropped the food i had brought for us all to share."
luka remembered hearing something fall outside but was too focused on the jean covered legs running away.
"i ran away so you wouldn't see me but somehow you caught up with me. i kept running because...i couldn't look you in the eye," luka could hear adrien's voice get weak with his held-back tears. "it sounds so stupid when i say it out loud."
luka grabbed adrien's free hand and searched for his eyes, "adrien, it's not stupid. i'm sorry you had to hear that," luka inhaled deeply and reached up to caress adrien's cheek, "especially because it wasn't true."
adrien's eyes widened, "i don't understand."
"adrien, please forgive me, i didn't tell juleka the truth. i do have a crush on someone," luka wiped away a stray tear that fell from adrien's eye.
"luka...what are you saying right now?" adrien's eyes seemed to bore into luka's. luka wasn't even sure if he had seen adrien blink since reciting his side of the story.
"i like you, adrien. i really like you. i'm so sorry that you thought i didn't," luka's hold on adrien's cheek never let up. adrien even reached up to keep luka's hand in place.
"really? you like...me? why?"
"why wouldn't i?" luka slightly frowned.
"i don't know. i mean, we've never really spent that much time together. i assumed you only thought of me as an acquaintance at best." adrien broke eye contact, he couldn't bring himself to look at luka anymore.
"adrien, none of that stopped you from liking me," luka stated, "so why would it stop me from liking you?"
adrien kept his eyes down.
"hm? can you answer that?"
"no, no i can't," adrien's voice went back to being small and it broke luka's heart. luka guided adrien's head up so he could look back into his eyes.
"we like each other, adrien, and neither of us can fully explain it. that's perfectly okay."
adrien's voice was full again, "we like each other."
luka tried not to let out a chuckle, "yes, that's what i just said."
"no, i mean, i didn't have to be scared. you like me as much i like you. well i probably like you a little more, i feel my feelings very aggressively," adrien started to ramble. luka had to admit, it was cute.
"i can see that," luka finally let out a small laugh.
"i'm sorry about the whole running away thing. i didn't even know i could run that fast without my miraculous-"
adrien's eyes widened and luka waited to hear what he would say.
"you know about my miraculous!" adrien whisper-yelled, he got off of the bed. he started to pace around luka's room.
"what miraculous?" luka attempted to say cooly but adrien missed the joke entirely.
"ya know, the one that transforms me into a cat man! the one that i wasn't supposed to tell anyone about! the one that gives me super fast reflexes! the one that gives me stupid cat ears- oh." luka half smiled as adrien finally got it.
"i meant what i said earlier, no one has to know that i, luka couffaine, know the identity of french hero, cat noir." luka put on a dramatic voice for the last bit, much to adrien's unamusement.
"you're not funny."
"sure i am, but i'm also one hundred percent serious. i'm not gonna tell anyone, i promise. can you sit down now?" luka extended his hand out to adrien who sighed and took hold of it.
luka pulled adrien towards him, causing adrien to yelp. adrien was pulled onto a laughing and leaned back luka.
"ow." adrien jokingly said.
luka slightly scoffed, "that didn't hurt and you know it."
"no, it didn't. i'm just dramatic."
"yeah, i know, it's very noticeable."
"you're very blunt at times, ya know that, right?" adrien shimmied into a more comfortable position, his back against the wall and his legs on top of luka's.
"and yet, you like me, so who's really the problem here?"
"both of us," they both laughed and any awkward or scared tension there was before seemed to quickly dissipate.
"ya know, the cat ears aren't that stupid. i actually kinda li-" Luka was interrupted by a hand covering his mouth.
"don't you dare finish that sentence," adrien tried to say sternly but luka knew he was all bark no bite, in the most adorable way possible.
so he licked adrien's hand. adrien dramatically screamed and wiped off his hand on luka's shoulder. luka erupted in melodic laughter, which in a way, made adrien feel like everything was gonna be all right.
(any notes or criticisms or praises that you guys have, i'd be more than glad to hear about. ofc be respectful and understanding, this is the first fanfiction that i've literally ever posted on anything so ofc it's not going to be perfect. but i really hope you liked it)

do you know any good adrino fics?
So as lovesquare stan and monoshipper, I’m able to acknowledge that adrino is absolutely amazing and would be my ship of choice if not for the love square. (Seriously, how is lukadrien so popular when adrino is right there???) But sadly, I only read platonic adrino. (Okay, I wrote this when I first started compiling this ask, but I have recently started so I may do a less platonic rec list later.)
However, the amazing @kasienda has put together two wonderful adrino rec lists:
Adrino Rec List 1
Adrino Rec List 2
I do have lots of platonic adrino recs though! I...may have gotten a little carried away with this one...oops? Oh well, enjoy!
Off the Mark by @buggachat
Ever since Nino’s (frankly embarrassing) akumatization into Rocketear, Chat Noir’s behavior had taken a strange and sudden turn in the presence of Carapace, and Nino could only think of one possible explanation:
Chat Noir hated him.
Somehow, Adrien didn’t seem to agree.
One-shot. As you all may have realized by now, I’m an absolute sucker for misunderstandings, and I’ve been desperate for good fic dealing with the aftermath of Rocketear since it came out. And this is just SPECTACULAR! Nino doesn’t understand why Adrien’s so bothered, but of course it’s clear to us as readers, and it’s finally resolved so beautifully omg I love this fic!!!
The Five Minute Adventures of Snake Noir by @kasienda
After Ladybug admits to Chat Noir that she told someone her identity, she insists that he do the same. He wants it to be her. She insists it has to be anyone else. He suggests they use the snake. She finds this to be a reasonable compromise.
After many heartfelt five minute conversations that Ladybug doesn't remember, she decides he should keep the snake. That way he can always confide in her if he needs to. He also realizes it means he can talk to anyone… for five minutes... on repeat.
Multi-chapter. This is also a love square fic, but it’s amazing to see Adrien get to confide in Nino and get the support he so desperately needs. An Nino isn’t just some minor character in this, we get focus on him and his relationships too!
such small things by @guardiankarenterrier
It starts with such small things.
It starts with things Nino does without thinking about it, because they’re just the sort of thing you do for friends, and he’s never had to think about them before.  Nino hasn’t had that many friends himself, at least not outside of their class, but the ones he does have are good friends- he doesn’t need more than what he has.
Adrien needs more than what he has, though.  Adrien needs friends like Nino needs music.
Two-shot. I have so many feelings about this one. It starts off solid and then only gets better from there! There’s just so much love and friendship and care and LOVE in this fic!! It’s beautiful.
team is a four letter word by @ladyofthenoodle
Alya didn’t want to come between Ladybug and Chat Noir. But she didn’t want to stop being Rena Rouge either. And if Chat Noir didn’t want to talk to her, then she’d need to find a different way to prove all three of them could be a team.
Her plan unintentionally brings a few secrets to light, which leads to even more secrets coming to light, which leads to… well, Alya is sure it’ll all work out eventually.
Multi-chapter. I can’t not rec this one. This fic focuses on the entire core four, and the adrino relationship is no exception to that. I love all of the little bits of information and the exploration of their dynamic here. The way Adrien knows Nino so well but keeps parts of himself from his friend. The growth and development as the fic progresses. Highly recommend.
Shellter Chat by @bridgetinerabbit
A peek inside Adrien's school bag gives Nino some very unexpected insight as to what makes his good friend tick, but leaves him in a very delicate position. He never expected to strike a deal with the Kwami of Destruction, but now he and Plagg are working together to relieve some of Adrien's (and Chat Noir's) burdens for his own good. But being Adrien's guardian angel isn't as easy as it seems; other secret identities start falling apart, and there's no telling where the falling dominoes will stop.
Multi-chapter.  I loved this so freaking much. I don’t even know where to start. Nino and Alya are such good friends to Adrien! Seriously, this is such beautiful friendship fic. I need to reread it.
A Miraculous Reveal: Rocketear & Meddlesome Friends by @kasienda
Nino has been watching the Rocketear footage on loop, and one thing doesn't make sense to him. Why hadn't Chat Noir fought back? (Platonic Adrino, hurt/comfort).
Two-shot within a collection of one-shots (description taken from first part). If, like me, you absolutely loved the angst of Rocketear and were so disappointed that canon didn’t follow up on it at all to give us a resolution, you need this in your life. Go read it now!
Alya is NOT Disloyal! by @peppermint-shamrock
Alya loves to flirt with her boyfriend when he's suited up as Carapace. Chat Noir, for some reason, is upset by this.
One-shot. This is a DJWifi fic that I’m including because Adrien is just such a good friend to Nino, like he cares so much and I love that.
I will take it / It can't go wrong. by @officialratprince
Be loved by his friends, or love himself, or earn his father's love. Adrien's at a point where he's pretty sure he can only have one of those three things, but he's doing his best to juggle all three of them.
They aren't always compatible. He's doing his best, though.
Series. Summary taken from the first fic. This gets heavy, but the adrino friendship really shines here as Nino supports Adrien in the aftermath of Gabriel’s abuse.
when the dust clears, there is only us by blight_light
Alya figured out that Marinette was Ladybug after she knocked out a bank robber and defused a hostage situation using nothing but a ping pong ball and a bandana. Nino figured out that Adrien was Chat Noir when he rolled under a table and Chat Noir rolled out. A glass table.
A collection where Alya and Nino are helping their superhero BFFs
One-shot. This fic is an amazing mix of hilarious and heartfelt and it just fills my heart with so much joy!!
the naming of cats by @guardiankarenterrier
"Dude, you know once we beat Hawkmoth you can go by whatever you want, right?" Nino finally offers, not entirely sure if it's the right thing to say.  He can't keep saying nothing, though, because he's not gonna let his friend think he's being ignored.  He never wants him to think that.  "Like, you're a hero of Paris, man. You wanna go ahead and change, just, like, your whole name to Chat Noir, pretty sure they'll let you.  Pretty sure they can't stop you, honestly."
Plagg's quiet little rumble takes on a note of approval.
One-shot. This is so beautiful and heartbreaking and Nino’s such a good friend and excuse me please I need to go have a little cry. I love them so much.

A Simple Word
Lukadrien Fluffuary (using this prompt list) Day 23: Forehead Kiss/Touch Prev | Next Read it on Ao3 Words: 1142 Rating: T Tags: Post-Reveal Lukadrien, Married, Soft, Silly A bowl of mostly eaten popcorn sat on the coffee table accompanied by candy wrappers and empty cans of sodas. It was Luka’s idea to have a movie marathon. A lazy night in, just the two of them. They watched their favorite movies together, quoting the best lines, singing the songs, throwing popcorn for the other to catch in their mouths, and sharing all of the little facts they knew about each film.
They were over halfway through the fourth movie of the night when Luka stretched out across the couch. His body took up the length of the sofa, crossing over Adrien’s lap so that his head was propped up on what should have been his husband’s soft armrest.
“Just getting more comfortable.” Luka said with a yawn.
“Suuuure, you are.” Adrien knew better.
He couldn’t help but reach down and play with his husband’s long black and blue hair. Even though he knew it would only prove to lure Luka to sleep faster. Adrien turned his attention back to the screen, but it was only a few minutes later that he heard a shift in Luka’s breathing. When he looked down the man was fast asleep.
Adrien laughed softly and whispered. “That’s what I thought, babe."
When the credits did eventually roll, Adrien found that his own eyes were sleepy. That was enough movies for the night. Of course now there was the issue of getting off the couch.
He looked down at Luka to see a face illuminated in warm light from the lamp they’d left on. The blonde couldn’t help the way he admired every feature as if they were details of a priceless piece of art. His fingers traced along Luka’s jawline, amused to feel the stubble there. Then his eyes landed on lips he had kissed countless times. Lips he’d kiss countless more.
Because this was his soulmate.
His love.
His husband.
“I can’t believe you’re mine.” Adrien kept his voice low as he leaned down and lightly kissed Luka’s forehead. “You’re so beautiful.”
When Adrien pulled back, blue eyes were blinking back up at him.
“Is that all I am to you… a pretty face?” Luka teased, though he certainly knew the answer.
“No.” Adrien breathed out with fervor and devotion that Luka hadn’t been prepared for.
That one word struck directly to the guitarist’s heart. The weight behind it brought to mind other things Adrien had told him in the past. Words of understanding, adoration, devotion, and love.
Adrien had simply said No.
But Luka heard, “You are always there for others, let me be the one who’s there for you. Your feelings matter too.”
Adrien had simply said No.
But Luka heard, “I’m starting to think that maybe, just maybe, our inner melodies are meant to be played together.”
Adrien had simply said No.
But Luka heard, “I adore you. No one makes me feel the way that you do. I love your heart, your soul. Luka, I love you.”
Adrien had simply said No.
But Luka heard, “M’love, I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
When Luka's body caught up with his mind he was gripping Adrien’s pajama shirt. He tugged on it and Adrien complied enthusiastically. Their lips crashed together with passion. Luka let out a content hum that was answered by the purr rumbling from his husband’s chest.
When they finally parted Adrien narrowed his eyes and shot Luka a very not-so-innocent looking grin. “All I said was ‘No.’ Didn’t mean to get you all worked up.”
Luka rolled his eyes. “That is not how you said it.”
“Sure it is, you asked if I thought you were just a pretty face and I said—“
“No.” Luka cut Adrien off by imitating exactly how he had said it earlier.
To which Adrien paused for a moment only to lean back down and kiss Luka all over again.
When they parted for the second time, Luka laughed. “See what I mean?”
“Yeah, I think I do—” Adrien’s words were interrupted by a yawn he couldn’t stifle.
They both laughed sleepily at the interruption.
“I think we could both use some rest, my Muse.”
“Yeah, but I’d like to sleep in our bed. Which requires you getting up.”
Luka groaned as the sleepiness hit him again with full force. “I want to sleep in our bed too."
“Pfft. Well, then get up.” Adrien chuckled and nudged him but the taller man didn’t seem to want to move at all.
After a few seconds Luka sighed. “Fine."
Then he proceeded to take the blanket with him as he rolled off the couch and landed unceremoniously in the floor.
“Well that’s one way to do it.” Adrien stood up on the couch cushion and hopped easily over the back. He walked into the bedroom only to turn around when he realized Luka wasn’t following him. “So… you coming or what?”
“Snakes can’t walk.” Luka’s groggy voice was muffled into the blanket.
“Oh really?” Adrien’s lips curved into a smile. He loved that he was the one who got to see Luka’s silliest side the most often. “Well, I guess you’re slithering to bed then? Better get to it.”
“Adrieeen.”
The floor was hardwood and Adrien knew from constantly sliding around in his socks what Luka had in mind. So, he walked over and grabbed the edge of the blanket Luka was wrapped in.
The blonde shook his head as he spoke, “You know, I’m afraid if I don’t do this you’ll actually sleep on the floor. Which I’m purr-ty sure you’d regret in the morning."
Adrien began pulling on the blanket. Luka was easy enough to slide into the bedroom. Once he got him to the side of the bed Adrien let go.
“Well, that’s your stop.” The blonde crawled into bed. All the while laughing at the groan from Luka’s direction. “I’m glad we have such a nice, comfy bed. So warm and cozy. With these awesome pillows. It’d be too bad if I had to sleep here alone.”
Adrien got under the comforter and counted to three silently.
He heard Luka sigh, then watched as the man lazily crawled up into the bed to join him.
“It is pretty comfy.” Luka agreed, his words barely comprehensible because of his sleepy state.
Adrien cuddled close and wrapped his arms around his husband. The contact bringing on a soft content purr. “Love you”
“Love you too.”
//////////////////
Plagg and Sass had been woken up by Luka's flop onto the floor and watched the scene unfold.
"Was all of that really necessary? Our holders are strange." Plagg observed.
"They're also the best we've ever had." Sass said matter-of-factly.
The black kwami nodded in agreement. "They are. Strange and the best aren't mutually exclusive my friend. They are living proof of that."

cake decorators, we need your help! our bakers (writers) have been working hard in the kitchen preparing something delicious, but now we need your help to make it look as good as it tastes!
throughout the week, we will be posting snippets and summaries from our bakers with a fic ID attached to them in order to keep the writer anonymous. please write down the fic IDs of the fics that you would be willing to work with, as well as the fic IDs of the fics you would absolutely not under any circumstance want to collaborate with.
at the end of all of these posts, we will post the artist applications for you to submit your answers!
FIC ID: S04
Pairing: Lukanette, mentioned past Lukadrien, mentioned past Marinath
Rating: T
Archive Warnings (if any): N/A
Trigger Warnings (if any): drinking, drunkenness
Summary: Luka's working his normal shift at the bar when a woman wanders in that captures his attention. He doesn't believe in love at first sight—he's not even sure he believes in love anymore at all—but something about this woman makes him think there might be something to the theory.
Snippet: “You don’t have to tell me anything,” Luka reassured Marinette, “but there’s a reason bartenders have a reputation for being good listeners.”
“Because you’re paid to stand there all night anyways?”
“No.” He pretended to think for a moment, then said, “Well, yes,” and shot her a wink, which made her roll her eyes. “But no, it’s because you don’t ever have to see me again. You could tell me absolutely anything, anything you want, and then walk out that door forever.”
She considered him for a moment, all 6’3” of him in his black button-down he wore for work, open at the neck and rolled up to his elbows, secured with leather sleeve garters Jules had got him, the tattoos covering his forearms that were clearly displayed, his teal-tipped hair pulled back into a modest low ponytail, and his chipped black nails tapping nervously against the bar as she looked him over.
He met her scrutiny evenly. He got these looks at least once a night, although he had to admit this was the first time the back of his neck prickled with heat.
It gave him a chance to look her over, too, and he had a feeling he’d been more than spot on with her drink choice. Sweet, but dangerous. Sky blue eyes set slightly wide above freckle-spattered cheeks, so light he wouldn’t have seen them without the glow from behind the bar shining directly on her like a spotlight. Midnight hair pulled into a simple bun at the nape of her slender neck, a black band tee that had been slashed at with scissors skillfully so that it hung off one shoulder in a very distracting way…

Lukadrien June Day Seven-- Eye Contact
Miraculous Drum Corps is my super specific, very niche AU that appeals to maybe seven people in the world. Here’s my tag if you’re interested (and i Do have a sideblog for it but i got Distracted by another fic (it was untitled)). But if you’re just mildly curious: drum corps is just the super higher class, intense, 24 hour, 3-month long marching band without the woodwinds. I am always down to talk about it (I marched 5 years lol) and combine with miraculous! Ah! If prompted I’ll never stop.
“Hey–” Luka smiled, opening the classroom door as the blond jumped down from the desk he was sitting on, waiting, “You look good--”
“Gee, wearing the same fit, this is embarrassing–” Adrien joked, smiling as the other laughed, “One of us is going to have to change–”
“Oh, so it’s going to be me?”
Adrien nodded, taking a step closer, “Well of course, you can’t even get your bowtie straight–” he smiled, reaching up to adjust his uniform, looking up as he realized he’d pulled his entire attention.
“So sorry– keeping things straight isn’t really how I typically roll,” Luka smirked, refusing to look away as Adrien felt his face darken. This was flirting, wasn’t it? It had to be.
He ran his hand down the lapel of his uniform, biting his lip. Of course he liked Luka, he wasn’t in denial of that, but this was just a ridiculous drum corps crush– nothing was going to come from this except broken hearts, so there was no reason to pretend to pursue it. And besides, he heard what Marinette said about him, and he didn’t want to get between the two. Clearing his throat, Adrien dropped his hand, “Should probably work on that, Couffaine.”
“Never been a problem for me before, Agreste,” he teased without a second of hesitation, leaning the slightest bit closer. Adrien could feel himself staring, but Luka was staring right back, his head tilting in amusement as he smiled. Not even the flicking fluorescent lighting of the room could make him look bad– there was no way he could ignore this all summer.

Lukadrien: Zebras Can’t Change Their Stripes: Chapter Ten
Read it on AO3: Zebras Can’t Change Their Stripes: Chapter Ten
The days slowly passed and coalesced into weeks which gradually became months, and, still, nothing seemed to be happening romantically between Marinette and Adrien.
“I wish they would just get it over with already,” Luka groaned, letting his forehead thunk against the table in the pub. “It’s killing me having this hang over my head.”
Marc grimaced as he reached out and patted Luka on the shoulder. “Luc, we all love you and want to support you, but I think your dwelling on losing Marinette and Adrien to each other has reached an unhealthy level.”
“You’ve been on about it for five months now,” Jacob sighed into his Bourbon.
Josie took another shot of Tequila and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. “Honestly, I don’t think you have anything to worry about when you and Adrien are already practically married.”
Luka blew out a snort. “Josie, it’s not like that between us.”
“Sure, it’s not,” she scoffed. “And I guess you and Adrien tell other people ‘I love you’ all the time too?”
Luka’s face flushed. “Those are platonic ‘I love you’s.”
“What about the handholding?” Jacob challenged, weighing in on the matter. “You didn’t hold my hand that much when we were dating, but you and Adrien are always walking around holding hands or linking pinkies.”
“It’s…platonic,” Luka insisted, trying to keep his wits about him as his friends ganged up. “Adrien is a really tactile person. Holding his hand helps him feel grounded.”
Marc cleared his throat, setting his limonade aside. “I usually stay out of this kind of thing…”
Luka deflated, knowing that all was lost if Marc were eschewing his neutrality.
“…but you and Adrien kiss each other on the cheek an awful lot for it to still be considered platonic, Luc. Adrien doesn’t interact with us like that. Maybe you should start to consider that it’s not totally platonic on his end either,” Marc gently suggested, not wanting to push too much but feeling like desperate measures were warranted after so much time had passed with Luka continually chasing his own tail.
“And what about the way you two are always snuggling and nuzzling each other?” Josie chimed in with a fresh attack (and none of Marc’s subtlety or finesse). “And the nose touches? Friends don’t touch their noses together like that.”
Luka winced, straightening up to grab his glass of water and sip at it sullenly. “I’ve told you before. Adrien was kept isolated from other people until he was thirteen, and he was raised in an abusive, affectionless home. He’s not very good at determining what’s socially acceptable, he sucks at boundaries, and he’s deplorably touch-starved. You can’t judge his feelings by his behavior according to normal societal standards.”
“Maybe not,” Marc agreed, “but we can compare Adrien’s behavior towards you with Adrien’s behavior towards others. While he is affectionate with us, it’s nowhere near as affectionate as he is with you.”
“You should ask Nino,” Jacob suggested, leaning forward to grab a slice of bread from the basket in the center of their table.
“I witnessed Adrien licking Nino’s cheek the other day when they were baking together,” Luka grumbled. “I don’t think Adrien’s affectionate behavior indicates much else besides the fact that he’s comfortable with me.”
There was a brief stretch of discontent silence filled by the mumble of the other pub patrons before Jacob spoke up again:
“But you told me a month ago that you and Adrien had started having sleepovers. That’s got to mean something, doesn’t it?”
Marc and Josie both whipped their heads around to gawk at Jacob and then Luka.
“Wait. What?” Marc choked.
“You and Adrien hooked up?!” Josie gasped.
“No-no-no!” Luka set his glass down so that he could frantically wave his hands to accompany his denial. “No. Not like that. He just—I was just—One night we were lying on his bed watching a movie, and we started to fall asleep, so I was going to get up and go to my own room, but he said to just sleep there, and…and I was so tired that I did.”
Josie arched a skeptical eyebrow. “And then what?”
Luka’s gaze dropped to the table. “And then the same thing kept happening? Though, recently, he’s been asking to sleep in my bed from the start, so…I don’t know. He likes snuggling, and he doesn’t like being alone. When we were teenagers, he used to use me as a body pillow all the time when we hung out and he spent the night. The bed sharing and the snuggling aren’t really new.”
“It’s just different now that there’s no Juleka or Rose or Capitaine to walk in on you if things start getting spicy,” Jacob snickered.
Luka reached out and smacked the bassist soundly on the arm. “It’s not like that. It would be criminal to make a move on Adrien. He trusts me.”
“Maybe we’ll all get lucky and he’ll make a move on you first,” Marc sighed, picking up his limonade and taking a long pull on the straw, lips puckering at the sweet and sour tang of the drink.
“Amen,” Josie clucked. “At any rate, you and Adrien need to sit down and have a ‘define the relationship’ conversation before you drive the rest of us nuts. This has gone on far too long, and I’m starting to consider having an intervention.”
“Josephine,” Marc warned lightly as Luka growled, “Don’t you dare. Things are still a little unstable for Adrien, and he needs to be able to feel safe in his own home. Don’t you dare tell him about my feelings and take that peace of mind away from him.”
Josie let out an enormous sigh, putting her hands up in surrender. “Luc, you’re such a martyr. It kills me.”
Jacob reached out and rested a hand on Luka’s forearm. “Honestly, I don’t think you’re giving Adrien enough credit. He’s a tough guy. I don’t think he’ll spook if he finds out how you feel.”
Luka bit his lip. “…I’m more concerned about him feeling indebted to me and pressured to try to pay me back, honestly.”
Jacob winced and gave Luka’s arm a supportive squeeze. “Yeah. Okay. That’s legit.”
“I don’t think you have to worry about him feeling obliged to return your feelings,” Josie added softly, all teasing and belligerence gone from her voice.
“I agree,” Marc seconded, putting a hand on Luka’s shoulder. “I genuinely think that Adrien is interested in you.”
Luka hung his head and shook it. “Thanks, guys, but…I just don’t know. I’m still too beat up over Marinette to put my heart out there again and risk what’s left of it getting pulverized.”
Josie opened her mouth to say something supportive, but she caught sight of a familiar blonde entering the restaurant over Luka’s right shoulder and snapped to attention, warning her friends, “Look sharp, Gents. Baby Boi incoming.”
Marc and Jacob casually withdrew their comforting hands from Luka so as not to draw suspicion, and Luka nearly vibrated in his seat from the sheer willpower it took not to turn around and stare.
Adrien entering a room always took his breath away, and Luka was afraid the raw emotion written on his face if he turned to watch would be too obvious.
“Hey guys!” Adrien greeted as he closed in on their table. “Mama-Marc…Jojo…Jacques.” He went around the table anticlockwise, giving each of their friends a set of air kisses to the sides of their cheeks.
He received a warm welcome of hugs and kisses and claps on the back in return.
When he got to Luka, Adrien sank down into the chair that had been saved for him on Luka’s side of the table and shone a brilliant smile on his roommate.
“Hey, You,” Adrien breathed, voice soft and intimate as his eyes bubbled with warmth and affection.
“Hey.” Luka internally swooned.
That smile, those eyes, and that tone of voice always did him in.
Adrien topped it all off by leaning in and placing a whisp of a kiss on Luka’s cheek, lingering for a breath and making Luka dizzy.
Luka mentally chided himself for being such a lightweight in love, but Adrien seemed to know how to effortlessly press all of Luka’s buttons.
Adrien drew back with a coy smile, holding Luka’s gaze for just a second before turning to the rest of the gang.
“Sorry I’m late. We got a last-minute order for two-hundred macarons, so things were a little crazy, and Tom needed me to stay later to clean up, since the macaron order put us behind.”
Even as Adrien’s attention was on the other three, his arm snaked around the back of Luka’s chair possessively, proving that Luka was still, at least subconsciously, on Adrien’s mind.
It was the little things like that that gave Luka a torturous glimmer of hope.
“No worries,” Marc assured with his usual golden retriever smile. “Sorry work was so hectic.”
“Yeah, you’re good. Luc already ordered for you, so it’s not like you held us up or anything,” Josie informed with a wink and a sly smile.
“No harm done,” Jacob confirmed, giving Adrien’s arm a light punch. “Sorry work sucked.”
Adrien turned back to Luka with a face glowing in gratitude. “You ordered for me? Thank you so much.”
Luka’s ears started to burn like dry leaves. “I got you the vegetable tart and Evian to drink. I hope that’s okay.”
Adrien nodded, stressing, “That’s perfect. Just what I wanted.”
He then peered curiously at Luka’s glass.
“And what are you having?”
Luka rolled his eyes in fond exasperation. “Water.”
Some days Luka thought it was sweet that Adrien cared so much about Luka having a healthier relationship with alcohol; some days Luka felt like a child being supervised.
But then Adrien smiled his most innocent smile at Luka, and Luka’s mild irritation vanished.
“I’m really proud of you, you know?” Adrien metaphorically cut the final string keeping Luka suspended over the shark tank.
Luka was a goner, completely turning to goo at Adrien’s praise.
“I’m so proud that you’re staying sober despite hanging out with those two lushes.” Adrien quirked his head at Jacob and Josie who burst into peals of slightly tipsy giggles.
Luka gave his eyes another roll. “They are enough to drive a man to drink, aren’t they?”
“Be nice, Luc,” Marc scolded even as he chuckled at Josie and Jacob’s expense.
“It’s okay,” Josie snickered. “I mean, it is true.”
Jacob shrugged good-naturedly and took another sip of his Bourbon. “So, what else did you do today besides bake macarons, Adrien?”
Adrien blew out a sigh, leaning back in his chair. “Today was kind of busy. I had business and acting classes back-to-back, and then I went for my therapy appointment before heading to the bakery for my shift.”
Josie let out a long whistle. “You really did have a jampacked day. Just thinking about it makes me tired.”
“It wasn’t so bad.” Adrien tried to reassure her. “My schedule was a lot worse as a teenager with school and modeling and all of my extracurricular activities.”
Josie groaned. “Don’t remind me. I had almost forgotten about how much I want to hit your father over the head with a clipboard.”
“I don’t know how you managed so well,” Marc confessed, grabbing a slice of bread from the basket as he slowly shook his head in wonder.
Adrien’s cheeks colored as he smiled bashfully, trying to convince them, “It really wasn’t that bad.”
“Yes, it was,” Jacob snorted.
“You’re just that amazing,” Luka whispered—perpetually in awe of Adrien—as he leaned in to press a kiss to Adrien’s cheek.
“Hm?” Adrien didn’t quite hear Luka over the cacophony of the pub and turned to ask him to repeat what he had said.
As a result, the kiss intended for Adrien’s cheek ended up on the corner of his mouth.
Luka pulled back with a start, and the two stared at one another in disbelief for a moment.
It was like the first time Adrien had kissed Luka on the cheek on his way out the door. Back then, they had both pulled back and stared for a beat before deciding that cheek kisses goodbye and hello were now something normal that they did.
A hush seemed to fall over the entire pub as Luka waited for Adrien to spring back in alarm.
Instead, Adrien’s initial surprise thawed into a content smile, and he slowly, intentionally moved forward. He pressed the softest, lightest, sweetest kiss to Luka’s lips, and it was absolute perfection.
Luka’s entire body tingled as he applied just the smallest amount of pressure back.
In truth, he wanted to dive right in and drown in Adrien, but this, now, was enough for the moment.
Adrien gradually pulled away and gave Luka another dazzling smile before turning back to the rest of the band.
“So, what did I miss? What were you guys talking about before I got here?”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Josie interjected. “Nuh-uh. Not so fast. What was that?!”
Adrien blinked and tipped his head to the side. “What?”
Jacob let loose a short burst of laughter. “Don’t ‘what’ us. You know what. What was that?!”
Adrien looked to Luka (who was currently no help because metaphorical fireworks were going off in an epic display in his brain) and then shrugged.
“Nothing. Obviously, just an accident.”
“Pft!” Marc looked away to avoid spraying his friends with spittle as he was caught off-guard by a skeptical laugh.
“Right. An accident,” Josie scoffed.
Adrien shrugged again unflappably. “He was obviously aiming for my cheek. It’s not a big deal. It’s only a big deal if you make it a big deal, and I’m not going to.”
Josie glared at her uncooperative adopted little brother. “Right. Well. It just so happens that before you got here, we were talking about you and your very good just-a-friend Marinette.”
Adrien’s brow pinched into a miffed frown.
Josie’s lips quirked upward into a smirk as she felt she’d regained control of the situation. “How is your just-a-friend Marinette?”
Marc cast a surreptitious glance Luka’s way to ascertain whether Luka was okay with the topic of conversation, but Luka was still in a delirious daze over the kiss and didn’t seem fazed.
“Marinette’s fine, thank you,” Adrien replied cordially, stubbornly digging in his heels and refusing to let Josie win their ongoing contest of wills.
Josie’s eyebrow arched impishly. “Is she still just a friend, despite the fact that you work at her family bakery and her father wants to adopt you as heir?”
Adrien rolled his eyes, leaning in to grab a slice of bread. “Yep. She’s still just a friend. Thanks for asking.”
He took an unconcerned bite of the sliver of baguette.
“Are you sure?” Jacob chimed in with an air of amusement. “Not only does Tom have you set to take over the family business, but Marinette’s got you working modeling her designs too. Does Marinette know you two are just friends?”
“Yes,” Adrien answered emphatically. “Marinette and I are definitely on the same page about our relationship. Working for her family is just a matter of convenience. They’re friends doing me a favor because not a lot of people are comfortable hiring Adrien Agreste, and, I mean, I have to put myself through school somehow.”
Though, Adrien had often thought that he wouldn’t mind becoming a baker. He enjoyed the work, and Tom had such a passion for it that it was hard not to catch his enthusiasm. But it wasn’t like Adrien was going to tell his bandmates that because it would only give Josie and Jacob fodder with which to tease him.
“Not to split hairs over trifles, but isn’t Luka putting you through school?” Marc hummed, raising his straw to his lips.
“Et tu, Marc?” Adrien groaned at the implicit betrayal.
Marc shrugged, shooting Adrien a sheepish smile.
“I’m going to pay him back someday,” Adrien asserted. “Once I’m a famous actor…or successful business owner or something. I’m not sure which one of my degrees is going to be profitable first, but I’m going to pay him back as soon as I can.”
Jacob dropped his joking tone and rested a hand on Adrien’s arm. “Relax. We know you will.”
Further discussion on the topic was interrupted by the arrival of the meal.
The pub wasn’t far from their flat, so, after saying goodbye to the gang, Adrien and Luka walked home hand in hand. They released their hold on each other when they reached the apartment building and had to proceed one by one up the narrow flight of stairs to the third floor.
As Luka finished locking up behind them, he bit his lip and hesitated before remarking, “…So…about that kiss…”
“Don’t worry about it,” Adrien assured as he shrugged off his coat and hung it on the coat tree next to the door. “It’s not a big deal.”
A thought hit Adrien like a bolt of lightning, and he whirled around to study Luka’s expression. “Unless I made you uncomfortable?”
“No!” Luka’s voice thundered in the quiet apartment, and he cleared his throat and lowered his volume before continuing levelly, “No, kissing is good. I wasn’t uncomfortable.”
“Good,” Adrien exhaled in relief, the sudden burst of tension gradually dissipating from his body. “I’m glad I didn’t screw anything up.”
Luka’s tone turned soft and fond. “No. You’re perfect, Perfect Fifth.”
“I don’t know about that,” Adrien chuckled, stepping in to carefully unloop the scarf from around Luka’s neck.
Luka’s cheeks flushed at the intimate gesture combined with Adrien’s proximity. He hoped Adrien might mistakenly attribute Luka’s rosy cheeks to the cold.
“Hey,” Adrien whispered.
Luka quirked an eyebrow, brain refocusing on Adrien—every blink of his eyelids, every twitch of his muscles.
Adrien licked his lips and looked up at Luka with an expression filled with raw vulnerability. “May I sleep with you tonight?”
Luka’s stomach flipped, and he had to fight to tamp down his visceral initial reaction. “O-Of course. …Why do you ask? Is something wrong?”
Battling back shame, Adrien nodded. “It’s dumb. I know I shouldn’t be upset about it, but there was this jerk at the bakery today who had a bone to pick with my father and took it out on me instead.”
Luka’s fingers curled into fists, and his teeth sank into his bottom lip. His body started to tremble as instant rage ignited within him.
Adrien took Luka’s hand and gently undid the fists one by one, a grateful smile hovering on his lips.
“Shh. I’m fine,” he promised. “Tom let the guy have a piece of his mind, and Sabine told him he wasn’t welcome at the bakery anymore, so it was fine, but—”
“—That’s not fine,” Luka hissed, pulling Adrien into a protective embrace. “It’s not.”
Adrien let himself go slack, relaxing into Luka’s arms. He’d been longing to retreat there all day, and finally being wrapped up in the safety and warmth he’d craved felt exquisite.
“Orpheus,” he breathed, surrendering himself to be cared for and fussed over.

Home is wherever I'm with you
Lukadrien one shot, summary:
Adrien runs off after his dad's latest outburst of anger, and Luka finds him.
TW : mentions of physical abuse and injury
Luka was heading back home from the store, tugging his coat around him further as the December chill made the air feel like ice. The rain was coming down hard, leaving him soaked. He just wanted to get home and change into something warm before crawling into bed, he thought with a shiver.
He found himself pausing though when he heard soft cries.
He looked around, with only the dim light of the streetlights providing any sort of clarity.
The cries continued and he followed them to a small alleyway between two shop fronts, pulling out his phone torch and peering around until he found a small figure hunched over and curled up beside the dumpster.
The blonde locks of hair were familiar, and when the boy finally lifted his head Luka gasped.
"Adrien?" He said softly, crouching down to be on his level.
He was in a small t-shirt and his regular jeans, without even a coat wrapped around him. His finger tips were blue from the cold and he was shivering uncontrollably. Why was he out here, so under dressed nonetheless, in the middle of December?
At a closer inspection of his face he realised something bad had definitely happened.
His lip was split, and bruising was blossoming over his jaw and around his eye. There was dried blood around his nose too.
"Jesus. What happened? Are you ok?" Luka asked with concern, although the question felt idiotic as soon as it left his lips. Of course Adrien wasn't ok.
He hadn't talked all that much to the model before. At band practice occasionally, but they weren't all that close. Still, Luka knew Adrien was liked by pretty much everyone in Paris.
So... who would do this to him?
"M-my d-dad... h-he got really m-mad a-and... a-and..." Adrien broke into a fit of sobs and it broke Lukas heart in two.
"Shhh, it'll be alright. You can't stay out here though, it's freezing-"
"I-I c-can't go b-back! He will k-kill m-m-me!" Adrien cried and Luka shushed him again gently.
"I wouldn't let you go back to that monster. You're coming home with me, ok?" Luka shrugged his coat off and draped it over Adrien, and held his gloves out to the blonde who just stared with wide eyes.
"I- that's very s-sweet but I c-couldn't p-possibly..." Adrien stuttered.
Luka huffed, nodding before joining the blonde on the cold, wet ground.
Adrien shot him an incredulous look.
"I'm not leaving you, and you're not coming with me, so I guess we can stay here for the night" Luka shrugged casually and Adrien was still staring, mouth opening and shutting as he tried to form words.
"Your choice." Luka lamented, squirming further into the gap beside him.
Adriens mouth snapped shut, his cheeks tinging pink as he pulled the gloves on.
"I- I'll come w-with you" he finally agreed and Luka smiled, jumping to his feet and pulling the blonde up with him.
"Good choice" he hummed and Adrien gave a shy smile as Luka linked their arms and walked them in the right direction, to the houseboat which quickly became Adriens real home.

Crushing on the rival-Lukadrien June Day 3
Ok, yes I’m technically late, but I don’t care! I wanted to do a Glee AU so bad and this was so hard to do. Usually when reading Glee Klaine fics as lukadrien, Nino is at Dalton since either Nick or Jeff becomes Kurt’s best friend and you can’t split up Nino and Adrien. So Nino attended for a while before budget cuts messed up his scholarship. Kieran is from @depressed-teacup-inc and @sarcasticsparkles Divergence. I meant for him to featured just a little more but it just didn’t work out like that. Adrien’s mom is alive but is spliting up with his dad and I put Chloe in Rachel’s position when it came to dating the enemy first since it always comes up in Anderberry fics when Rachel doesn’t say who Blaine is because she doesn’t want to be accused of selling secrets to her brother. Anyway, please enjoy and we’ll see if day 4 actually comes out. Rival Musicians
“I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Nino said, adjusting his white tie. He’d forgotten how much he hadn’t been a fan of the Quantic Academy uniform. The pale blue shirts with the black blazers and white ties weren’t his aesthetic and even though it sucked to lose his scholarship, he’d been beyond happy to never put the uniform on again. He looked over to Marc and Nath, who seemed to pull it off with ease.
Totally unfair.
“I can’t believe you let Alya and Marinette bully you into coming to spy.” Nath said.
“No you’re not.” Marc clarified. “Remember how we got together?”
“Yeah, no. this fits perfectly. We should just be glad Chloe wasn’t the one to find out you used to go to school with our competitor. That would have been worse.”
“Yeah, especially since we all experienced her dating the ‘enemy’ last year. Last thing I need is her accusing me of giving secrets away. I really don’t want to bring up her asshole ex in her face. She’s finally starting to open up again.” Nino said.
“Where’s Adrien?” Marc asked, changing the subject. “You made it sound like we have a small window.”
“We do. Assuming things haven’t changed in a year, teachers take the afternoon to have a meeting while letting the students study and such. Or in the Warbler’s case, have impromptu performances to test songs out. If we don’t want to get caught, we need to be there when the mass text goes out and everyone is heading to the Senior Commons.”
Just then, a very familiar silver car pulled up in front of the boys. Adrien climbed out, in a black leather jacket and a white rocker tie but still in the same colours.
“Sorry I’m late. Mom promised the appointment would be over before I had to leave, but divorce proceedings involving my dad aren’t exactly easy. They were arguing over my ‘modelling’ career for a full hour before my mom’s lawyer managed to shut my dad up. I think, that woman speaks like a pirate and is just as ruthless and doesn’t like my dad, so she could have been insulting him for all I know.”
“Sorry you have to deal with this.” Nino said, patting his best friend on his shoulder.
“You haven’t modelled for almost 3 years. Your ‘career’ is just your dad reusing old photos of you for campaigns.” Nath said. “We can only hope we don’t have another instance like when it was your first day at school and you ran into the glee room to hide from your fans.”
“But, hey! We got you out of it.” Nino said. “You stick out like a sore thumb though.”
“It’s not my fault. You said you had enough extra uniforms. You’re the one who didn’t include yourself in the count. Let’s just be happy I have enough clothes to make an iteration of it.” Adrien said.
“Fair enough. Come on.”
All four of them walked into the main building. It was beautiful, a mix of old architecture and new, like a classic hotel or something along the lines. They slowed when Nino did as they approached the front desk, which was thankfully empty with a note to call when arrived.
“I’m so happy the headmaster uses the front desk secretary as his own. I mean, she gives as good as she gets and doesn’t take shit, but she’s also got a practical eidetic memory.” Nino said. “Ok, now there’s a student that we called the Caterpillar – he lived in my dorm and everyone had Alice in Wonderland names – who has access to everyone’s phone number and he’s in the Warblers, so he sends out a massive text message to everyone.”
“How are we even sure they’re planning on doing a performance?” Adrien asked.
“We don’t but I know so close to competition time Marin would want to practise when they have the chance, so at the very least we can peak into the Senior Commons were they practise.”
They got to the first hallway and Adrien saw that what he thought ground level was actually the first floor.
“Cafeteria is downstairs and exits for the gardens and the library. This floor holds some classrooms and common rooms, more classrooms and offices upstairs. The Senior Commons is actually down the hall and downstairs. They got first pick when the place was being built and it has the closest exit to where the dorms are.”
“Should we hang near there or somewhere else?” Nath asked.
However, before Nino could offer a suggestion, the one thing Adrien dreaded pierced through the empty and quite hallway.
“Ohmygod! It’s Adrien Agreste!”
Adrien liked anime, especially the feel-good ones. The one he liked the most was Gakuen Babysitter. The scene before him reminded him of when the twins’ father, a famous actor came to school and was found out by one of the students and suddenly the area around him were swarming with fans. What happened was a bit like that, except screaming boys instead of girls and Adrien actually got a head start in running away.
Nino hated his best friend had to suffer through this, so when he was separated from him and the rest of the guys and only found Marc and Nath not long after, he felt worried.
“Where’s Adrien?”
“We thought he was with you.”
“Ok, screw Marinette and Alya telling us not to get caught.” Nino said, pulling his phone out and scrolling through his contacts until he reached one with the name being just a butterfly emoji. “If they want info, they can come look themselves. My best friend is in a school that’s not desensitized to him being around and we’re find him before we leave.”
Of course, before he could call, he saw a text from the same butterfly named person.
I’m gonna let Marin yell at you for coming to spy.
Nino cursed. He’d been hoping to avoid that. Marinette and Alya were bad and Chloe worse, but Marin lording over him with his gavel, that was something he didn’t miss from attending school here.
But don’t worry. A certain blue haired Hatter was placed in the little Alice’s path. He’ll take care of him. Also, I know a certain March Hare misses you too.
Ok, maybe he’d have to kiss that Caterpillar after all.
                                       ____________________
Adrien slowly opened the door after finally hearing the hallway fill up and all move in one direction. Everyone was speaking excitedly, so no one noticed Adrien slipping out and joining the crowd. He looked around, hoping to see 3 familiar faces but no luck. he didn’t even know if this crowd was people going to see the Warblers. He bit his lip, trying to decide what to do. He could ask and then be in a bad spot if someone recognised him or he could ask what was going on and duck into a bathroom if it wasn’t Warblers related. He decided to risk it.
“Excuse me,” he said, tapping someone on the shoulder. The guy had dyed blue hair and when he turned around Adrien saw he had the piercings to match his punk look. The uniform really didn’t match him at all. “Hi, I’m new here. What’s going on?”
He gave Adrien this smirk as if to say, ‘I know why you’re here’. “I’m Luka.”
“Adrien, nice to meet you.”
“Adrien. Well, don’t worry, I won’t scream your name. and to answer your question, the Warblers are doing an impromptu performance.”
“Oh.”
“If you want, I can take you there. You know, bump into your friends who came to spy with you.”
“S-spy? I didn’t come to spy.”
“Right, so your lack of uniform and Nino being here is a happy coincidence.”
Adrien couldn’t really think of a lie, so thrown off. He let out a squeak when Luka grabbed his hand and pulled him down the hallway. This one was emptier and Adrien took a closer at Luka. his uniform was perfect but his shoes were emblem covered high tops. His nails were painted and fingers home to a few rings. He also noticed a few bracelets peaking out from under shirt sleeve. Luka seemed like such an anomaly in his perfect uniform but things that spoke to his personal aesthetic.
Before he knew it, they were back in a crowd as they entered a room, no doubt the Senior Commons.
“Shot, I do stick out like a sore thumb.” Adrien said, once he saw himself compared to everyone.
“I don’t know, I like your version better.” Luka said, tugging at one of the lapels of Adrien’s leather jacket. “Your friends are over there.” He nodded towards the door, where Marc, Nath and Nino were, all standing on their toes trying to look over the crowd. Nino got distracted by someone with light brown hair and purple rain boots, but Marc and Nath spotted him.
“How did…?”
“I’m sure Nino will tell you about the special ways of the Warblers.” Just at the front of the room, 2 lines of boys appeared as they started to create a beat. “Now if you excuse me. Kieran!”
The guy Nino had been talking to darted over to the lines and Adrien took his place, hearing his friends ask him what happened and if he was ok, but his attention was focused on Luka, who stood in the very front singing.
Before you met me, I was alright But things were kinda heavy, you brought me to life Now every February, you'll be my Valentine Valentine
Let's go all the way tonight No regrets, just love We can dance until we die You and I will be young forever You make me feel like I'm living a teenage dream
He was good, really good. And he kept staring right at Adrien.
“That’s Luka. we were roommates when I was here.” Nino said, finally getting his attention. “He was well on his way to being lead vocalist when I left.”
“He’s really good.”
“Yeah. Don’t let his accessories fool you, he’s a cool guy.”
Yeah, he was.
When the song was over and the room burst into loud applause, cheers and whistles, Luka found his way over, with the same guy who’d been talking to Nino before and two new people. They reminded him a bit of Marinette and Alya, though one of them had a sever expression currently directed at Nino.
“You come spy and you don’t even come to say hello? I’m ashamed of you Nino.” The one who reminded Adrien of Marinette said.
“Please give it a rest Marin.” Nino begged.
“No, no, let him suffer more. I’m enjoying this.” Kieran said.
“Just to check, you’re not going to report us, right?” Marc asked, looking nervous.
“Don’t worry. Your attempts are endearing and we know Nino wouldn’t bring you over here without good reason.” The other guy said. “we’re not planning on using that song for the Sectionals, so you won’t go home empty handed.”
“How about coffee? Nino doesn’t know this, but we finally opened the coffee bar in the cafeteria, student run. We can stay here if you want.” Luka offered.
In the end, Adrien waited in the room, with Nino getting dragged to be lectured by his old friends and Nath and Marc having such complicated orders, it just made more sense to go with them. Adrien looked around the commons, taking in the couches and many side tables. A few had an almost permanent show print in them, like they’d been jumped on. The few people inside the room still paid his no attention, other than glancing at him.
“Here you go.” Luka said, handing him a to go cup. “Nino mentioned you didn’t like coffee so I got you hot chocolate. Better than most cafes, we make our own with milk.”
“Thanks. Where are the others?”
“Kieran is still making Marin lecture Nino and it turns out Alan is a fan of your friends’ comic, so just me for now.”
“That’s fine. Maybe you can tell me why the tables have footprints on them.” Adrien said, tugging his jacket off as Luka plopped down next to him.
“I have a habit of jumping around on tables during practise. Marin yells at me for it, but I can’t help it. Which is surprising, since I’m pretty stationary during performances.”
Adrien let out a little laugh. “You sound like my cat. Doesn’t matter how many cat perches we have for him; he just climbs up anywhere else. Granted, focusing on him and glee has been a godsend for my mental health recently.”
“Yeah, I’m sure dealing with arguing parents and divorce isn’t easy.”
Adrien looked over at Luka, confused as to how he knew that.
“Oh, yeah. My mom is your mom’s lawyer.” Adrien raised an eyebrow not believing him. “She sounds like this.” Luka said in the same thick accent Anarka had.
“Holy, hey wait. Juleka is Anarka’s daughter, which means she’s…”
“My sister. Competing against each other, but don’t worry. Music is sacred in our house so we don’t play dirty.”
“Whoa.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t go fishing for anything. I just thought that things must be pretty difficult. Your dad makes mom pretty upset.”
“Yeah. It hasn’t been easy. The whole divorce hasn’t but this modelling thing is making things worse. Honestly, I’d be happy with glee drama. It’s the only thing that feels like it makes sense.”
“I get that. I’m older than Juleka, but I’ll be graduating at the same time as her because I ended up pulling out of school for a while. During all that, music was the only thing that made sense.”
“Was everything ok?” Adrien asked.
“Come here.” Luka led Adrien over to a piano that sat in the corner. “Take a breath and listen.” He ordered, resting his fingers on the keys. He watched Adrien do as he was told and he let his fingers move across the keys.
Adrien stared as he heard the emotions he’d been feeling were played. Every note and beat was everything.
“I’ve never been good at words. Mom struggled to get me to talk but she knew I liked music, so that started to become my voice. I guess the easiest way to explain it is I’m an empath. I can hear emotions and I tend to stay quiet. Some people at my old school didn’t like that I kept quite or I could play what they felt. Add on the muscle heads who didn’t understand that liking guys didn’t mean I liked them, things got insane. So I left and came here.” Luka ended Adrien’s song and sat on the bench to look at the blonde. “Even though music sort of got me into that mess, I get it being the only thing that feels like it makes sense.”
Adrien sat next to Luka. “And now you have glee. I was running from fans when I ran into our glee room. Mlle Bustier was ok with letting me hide there but when I saw how much fun everyone was having singing, I wanted to do the same. It’s been my escape.”
Luka bumped his elbow into Adrien’s side. “And people think models aren’t anything like us.”
“I’m really sorry you had to deal with that stuff, but I guess if you hadn’t, you wouldn’t have met Nino and he wouldn’t have taken us here and we wouldn’t get to meet.”
“Guess there’s a silver lining for everything. It’s a shame we’re going up against each other in Sectionals. Hanging out with you would be fun.”
“Well,” Adrien said, shrugging, “No one said we can’t text.”
“I thought one of your team members dated a guy from an opposing team?”
“Who said anything about dating? We’re just texting. I mean, Nino texts you and the others, right? What makes me so different?”
Luka let out a laugh. “Fair enough. Adrien Agreste, rebel. I think you’ve been around my mom too much; she’s starting to take an effect on you.”
“You say that as if being a rebel is a bad thing.”
                                          ______________________
Well Adrien wasn’t a rebel, but he did enjoy talking to Luka. he was easy to talk to and they had a lot in common. When employing the same rules Juleka and Luka had on their houseboat when it came to glee, it was easy to forget he was competing against him. Nino encouraged it when he found out.
“Besides, if you end up liking Lu and asking him out, then I can ask Kieran out. Maybe. I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”
It wasn’t hard to like Luka. he was good looking and funny and nice and his singing voice was amazing. But Adrien also knew dating during competition season was asking for another Chloe situation even if Luka would never do what that asshole ex did. So, Adrien made a deal with himself, he’d ask Luka out after Sectionals. One of them would win and then they wouldn’t compete anymore unless a space opened up. It would be fine.
I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning I sleep alone Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes Listen as the crowd would sing "Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"
One minute I held the key Next the walls were closed on me And I discovered that my castles stand Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
And of course listening to Luka sing Viva la Vida made Marc lean over to him and tell him if he didn’t ask him out, he would.
But like the world was against him, both the most amazing and worst thing happened. They tied. Chole had said how rare that happened. Adrien could only think about how he felt cheated out of asking Luka out. Which was why he waited in the bathroom, waiting for Luka to come in.
“Hi.” Luka said when he came in. he looked a bit disheartened and Adrien really hoped he was reading the reason right.
“Hey. Congratulations by the way. Your Viva la Vida was amazing. Chloe thought so too and she doesn’t compliment the competition much.”
“Thanks. I know you said you were a countertenor but I never expected you to hold that note in So much better.”
“Thanks. Um, listen. I really hope I haven’t been reading the signs wrong, but…I like you, enough to tell myself that after Sectionals were over, no matter what happened, I’d ask you out. But I wasn’t expecting us to both win. But that hasn’t exactly discouraged me.”
“You haven’t been reading them wrong. It was my plan too but it would really be a bad idea to date. The stakes are even higher now. Though…God, Marin might kill me for suggesting this, but how about one date? One date to get it out of our system and to also give us something to look forward to after Regionals. There isn’t a chance we’ll tie again so it’ll be fine after then, but I don’t think either of us can wait that long.”
The door to the bathroom opened and Nino poked his head in. “Adrien, bro. the bus is here, time to go.”
“Yes.” He said to Luka as he headed to the door. “I’ll text you.”
As Nino dragged him to the bus before the group got angry, Adrien told him what he and Luka planned on doing.
“As your teammate, this is a horrible idea. As your best friend, this is the best idea ever and I demand details after.”

Blueberries and Lemons (Day 9: Road Trip of Lukadrien June 2021)
Day 9 of @lukadrien-june (rated E fanfic)
Adrien sat on the back of Luka’s motorcycle. Luka had told him to pack light since they were taking his bike to the beach house. Luka had acquired the house from his mother since she didn’t really use it much. She was always traveling on her houseboat, even now that she was older. He admired her for it. She was still active and that was something to be commended. It was like she hadn’t aged a day.
“So, your mother bought the house a long time ago?” Adrien spoke close to Luka’s ear with his arms wrapped around Luka’s waist.
“Yeah,” Luka yelled over the sound of the engine and wind passing by them.
“That’s awesome! I own a beach house myself, but you have to fly out to it.” Adrien laughed and shrugged. He let out a sound of surprise when Luka revved his throttle and took off faster through the streets of Paris.
“You should bring me there sometime,” Luka smiled over his shoulder at him. “It’d be awesome and relaxing!”
“Could do that. I’d be down, but we’d have to plan more for that.” Adrien laughed and held on tighter, as the man whipped through small streets and out of the city. “What does your mother do now?”
“Travels still. She’s not one to stay in one place for too long. The longest she stayed anywhere was Paris when I was a teenager. Once I signed on with a label and kind of did my own thing, she left to do her own thing too. I mean, she waited for me to be established enough and for my sister to be fine first.” Luka shrugged and laughed. “My sister was more heartbroken about her leaving then me, but she had Rose so.”
“Your sister is dating Rose? Like Rose from Kitty Section?” Adrien was taken aback by his information.
“Yeah, a few years now! They’re pretty inseparable! I swear one day they’re gonna get married!” Luka laughed and continued on their journey towards the small city near the sea. “Right now, they’re in California in Los Angeles. My sister, Juleka, tours with her and helps make their costumes for their concerts. She’s a huge supporter.”
“Sounds like Rose is very lucky to have her.” Adrien nuzzled his cheek against Luka’s back. “Like I am to have you.”
Luka laughed and nodded, “well, I think I’m luckier than you.” He took a swift turn, and they leaned to the right before he straightened them back up.
“How long have you had this bike?” Adrien rested his chin on Luka’s shoulder.
“Since I was eighteen, probably. Gift from my father to try to make up for not being in my life much. I didn’t want to accept the gift at first, but my mother and sister talked me into it. Being more accepting and what not of him at least trying to be a father for once. Ya know, rocker types. Drugs, women, alcohol, parties…” Luka rolled his eyes and sighed. “Enough about that. This is supposed to be a relaxing and fun time. Not sad.”
“My father was around, but not around. Like he was there but wasn’t really a father. I don’t know how to explain it. He wasn’t present, I guess. Ignored me unless he needed me to do something for him, but if I needed him… he was less there. His assistant, Nathalie, was though. But ya know… could have used a father sometimes.” Adrien shrugged and squeezed Luka tighter. “Anyway, I’m happy to be going on vacation with you. Been too long since I got to just relax and be myself, ya know? Lot of pressure being the late Gabriel Agreste’s international model son that took over his company.” Adrien rolled his eyes and tilted his head down to kiss Luka’s shoulder through his leather jacket.
Luka took his hand from the handlebar to touch Adrien’s soft hand that was gripping his black leather jacket. “I’m sorry that your life was tough with your father. What about your mother?”
“Rather not talk about that now. I told you how she’s gone, so.” Adrien shrugged and hugged him tighter, gripping his hand in his. “Not much more to say. She’s gone and been gone a long time. My father didn’t take it well and rest is history.”
“I get it. We don’t have to talk about it right now or ever.” Luka brought Adrien’s hand up to kiss the back of it. “We’re almost there. Another thirty minutes or so.”
“Then we get to relax and have a ton of fun.” Adrien smiled and cuddled closer to Luka, feeling the hot engine rumble between his legs.
***
Luka carried his bag over his shoulder with Adrien’s, taking it up to the beach house. He sighed and grabbed the keys from his pocket, dropping them on the ground on accident. Adrien laughed and bent down to pick them up from the ground to help him.
“I got it.” Adrien smiled at Luka and unlocked the door for him. He turned the handle and pushed it open.
“Thanks,” Luka smiled and walked through the door that Adrien held open for him.
He punched the lights on with his elbow, and Adrien took a bag from his boyfriend to help him. Luka took in the scent of sea water and dust from not being open for a while. He tossed his bag onto the couch and went around opening all of the windows to let fresh air in from the sea breeze.
“Sorry, it’s been a while since I’ve been here.” Luka turned on fans and walked over to the fridge, seeing what was in it. “Well, we don’t have much. There is a little shop down the way where we can get supplies.”
“It’s nice.” Adrien warmly smiled and set his bag down beside Luka’s.
“I’m glad you like it.” Luka closed the fridge and walked over to clear off a couch.
“Did you grow up here?” Adrien looked at the shelf of music books and family albums. He wondered if they contained photos of the past when they had come as a family.
“Sorta. I was mostly on a boat so.” Luka shrugged. “But some summers we would come here. It was nice. There’s probably albums over there with photos from it, actually. Let me just go get the bed set up.”
“I’ll help,” Adrien walked after him to go help make the bed up for them to sleep in.

-Adrien doesn’t get to out much in general, even more so during the Holidays. Luka sneaks in hot cocoa and the forbidden mini marshmallows. Even a plate of his mom’s gingerbread cookies… they’re not very good, but they eat them anyways.  Bringing some Christmas cheer, we brought a small strand of lights, and the cheesiest of Holiday movies.

Today is a special day! It’s @mikauzoran's birthday. ^_^ Happy birthday, Mikau!! I decided to make a little comic of a scene from Violets. Thank you for sharing your talent with this world, and for being you. I hope you’ve had a great day, and will have a great year ahead of you!
To anyone who sees this post and hasn’t read any of Mikau’s work yet, you should, because she’s amazing! Here are some recommendations to start with.
I Would Give You Some Violets - This is a short and sweet series of Marichat drabbles. It’s my favorite because it’s a perfect mix of humor, pining, light angst, hurt/comfort, and supportive relationships. It’s really cute and wraps up nicely at the end. (This is the story the comic is from.)
Let Your Walls Down - If you’re in the mood for something short and wish Adrien and Marinette would just cut all the nonsense and talk to each other, this reveal two-shot is a very satisfying read. (Pairing: Ladynoir/Adrienette.)
The Rejects Club - Another personal favorite of mine. It starts out with a simple premise—two rejected teens seeking comfort in one another—but things quickly snowball. This is prime Marichat with lots of identity shenanigans and the full gamut of the emotional spectrum.
Phantasmagoria - Mikau writes the only Lukadrien content I’ll read. Which is to say, it’s really good, and her characterization (of Luka, Adrien, and their relationship) is highly nuanced. Her Lukadrien works mostly take place in the same universe (Springtime in Wonderland), and Phantasmagoria is chronologically the first.
... I would recommend more, but surely once you read one of her fics you’ll get hooked and end up reading them all. ^_~ Anyway, I hope you have a beautiful day, Mikau!

For fic request thing can I ask for Lukadrien fluff, please?
Sorry for the late reply! I hope you like it!!!
Adrien rubbed his hands together. It was cold, and he definitely did not think it would snow today, so he ended up with a light jacket against the force of mother nature.
He checked his phone. 4:38. Luka wouldn’t be at the ice skating rink for another twenty-ish minutes. No one else had arrived either.
The blonde’s face reddened as he realized the first person he wanted to show was Luka, even though it was a gathering of the whole friend group.
It was... Fine! He just really appreciates having another guy best friend. He’s just a friend, why would he be anything else?
“Ugh. Can we go inside or something?” Plagg grumbled from the chest pocket of Adrien’s jacket. Humming with agreement, Adrien turned to go head into the Cafe that was facing his back. Rather than heading inside, the blonde stopped as he saw a familiar face.
“Hey. You look cold.” Luka greeted without missing a beat.
“Y-Yeah, I didn’t think it would snow...”
“No one else is here yet, want to go to the boat? I’ll let you borrow a hat and jacket. It’s pretty close anyways.” Luka offered, his voice soft and his eyes intensely studying the pink-faced model, who nodded blankly in reply.
Adrien wondered why Marinette had always acted like this— a stuttering, blushing mess, that is —around him up until a few months ago. It turned out she had a crush on him, which was why she was so nervous near him.
But why was Adrien acting the same, in front of Luka, of all people? It’s not like he had a crush on the handsome, kind, talented....
Okay, maybe a small one. But Adrien didn’t have time to unpack all of that right now.
“You look deep in thought.” Luka said, as they walked down to his house. Boat. Houseboat. Whatever.
“Your heart and mind sound like this,” Although the musician was without his guitar, he did have his voice. He hummed, and it was difficult to describe, but the tune was light but held a heavy undertone to it.
“Ah, just um... Dealing with things.” They arrived at the boat and climbed on.
Luka furrowed his eyebrows. “With your dad?” Adrien noticed how Luka relaxed when he shook his head. He really did care.
Adrien flashed back to a day they had talked, after he’d had run away and sat on the bridge that overlooked the same river that the Couffaine’s houseboat sat docked. Luka found him and offered him his company and advice.
“If you ever need a warm meal, a place to stay, someone to hold... My house is always open for you Adrien.” That’s what he’d said, followed by a “If your dad ever hurts you, please bail me out of jail.” And a wink.
Back in the present Adrien noticed he sat on the blue boy’s bed, as he ransacked his closet.
“Thanks.” He said it softly, barely audible. Had I really been so spaced out, that I didn’t even notice we were already here?
“Anything for Chat Noir.” Huh?
Adrien had visited Luka as Chat Noir before; just like Marinette, he’d dropped by to check on him after being targeted by an akuma, but eventually led to him sneaking out to hang with a friend.
“Haha... What you are- what are you- talking about?” Adrien jumbled the words. Luka laughed. It sounded like bells, like the crackling speakers at a retro drive in movies, like snapping sugar cookies to share, like pun making in front of the fireplace.
Luka strode over and knelt. He was so tall that he was almost eye level to his friend sitting on the bed. Pulling a beanie over Adrien’s blonde hair, he saw in the mirror door of the closed closet that it had little cat ears.
“I know who visits me every week, who watches movies with me and listens to my new songs. I know who cracks the best puns, who hides their emotions, who brings me roses.” Luka’s face hovered close and in front of his own. His heart felt like it would bust out of his body. Adrien could feel himself burn red in the cheeks, but smiling. Breathless. How was Luka so perfect?
“Can I kiss you?” Luka asked. Adrien gave a small breath of a “Yeah” and the distance between their lips closed. Luka still held onto the sides of the beanie, pulling it closer; pulling Adrien closer.
Adrien thinks he’s bad with feelings, because he realized that Luka never was just a friend to him. Only when he realized his crush did he stumble, but now he knew he was on solid ground.
Luka broken away first, giving his signature smirk. “So what are we now, kitty?”
Adrien jusy grabbed his face and kissed him gently.
“I’ll take that as you want to be boyfriends?”
Boyfriends. A nod. They kissed again.
“Luka? I thought you already left? Well I’m leaving now so I hope you grabbed what you forgot-“ Juleka’s voice approached quickly. The door opened and the two boys froze.
“O-Oh. Sorry, sorry!!!” Juleka fled from the doorway, clearly embarrassed.
It was silent at first; Luka embarrassed at his sister walking in, and Adrien bright red at being caught kissing his friend’s brother. Then Adrien laughed, flopping back onto he bed. Luka stood and joined beside him in laughter.
“How about we skip the ice rink today? Our friends will understand.” Adrien had curled into Luka. Cat instinct, or boyfriend instinct? He purred in agreement. Oh my god, I just purred. Definitely cat instinct.
Luka laughed at his boyfriend’s very startled expression (at this point, he might end up permanently red in the face) and cuddled closer, both chatting quietly and somewhat drowsily.
“Our friends can live without us for an afternoon,” Adrien murmured into his chest. Luka just ruffled the blonde’s hair and pulled him closer.
Juleka stood outside on the deck sighing. “I guess Luka and Adrien aren’t coming,” she grumbled to herself and headed out to meet her friends.

5 AM
Ao3 Lukadrien One shot Words: 1311 Rating: T Set in the Turning Tables AU but this fic stands alone. It’s just a fluffy future fic. ////////////////////////
Luka didn’t generally think of himself as a morning person. He didn’t mind them, it’s just that he preferred to—and usually did—wake up at whatever time naturally would. Which, naturally, was much later than 5 AM, the exact time that was lit up on his phone screen. The blaring of his alarm made him groan in agitation. He had chosen a song he really loved for the alarm sound. It seemed like a good idea when he set it. Now, he made a mental note to not do that again. It was a great tune that didn’t deserve to be associated with being woken up before the sunrise. He turned off the alarm and sat his phone back down. His eyes roamed around the nearly pitch black bedroom that was illuminated only a little by the streetlights filtering through the edge of the curtains. The lack of light didn’t exactly give him any motivation to get up. Luka felt movement beside him. A sleepy voice mumbled mockingly, “Oh that’s no problem at all! Sure, you can come by and pick up the guitar at 5:30 in the morning.” Those were his exact words on the phone the night before. He’d done some customizing on a client’s guitar. It wasn’t major work, but they were only in Paris for a few days. Of course, they wanted to take the instrument back with them. This Luka understood. He also preferred traveling with his instruments vs shipping them. He just hadn’t realized the client would have to come by to pick it up early the next morning before catching a flight. Luka pouted. “I should have just offered to run it by the hotel they were staying at last night. But they offered to come by and I just agreed.” His own voice sounded raspy to his ears. It really was way too early. “Yeah… you did. Now we’re both… awake.” Adrien certainly didn’t sound very awake.
“I’ve got to get up or I’ll just fall asleep again.” Luka turned on his side and went to pull the blanket off of himself. “Nooooo.“ Adrien’s strong arms wrapped around Luka under the covers. “Don’t go. You’re so warm.” “Babe, you can’t do this to me. They are going to be here soon.” Luka’s eyes threatened to flutter closed. He very much would rather just stay here in bed with Adrien. What would it hurt to go back to sleep even if for just a little while? “Just stay a few more minutes.” Adrien pressed into Luka’s back in a comforting, familiar embrace. Luka was already way too close to falling back to sleep and he knew his husband far too well. “Don’t do it.” “Do what?” Adrien said groggily but the mischief in his voice still rang through. Before Luka could respond he heard the rumbling sound as Adrien began to purr. It was a trait he’d developed from being Chat Noir for so many years. The sound was more comforting than any white noise machine he’d ever heard. It instantly made Luka relax when he was tense. Sometimes Adrien would even use it to calm himself down when he was stressed about something. It was such a soothing sound and being wrapped in Adrien’s arms was so comforting that Luka could feel himself drifting to…. The alarm blared again and Luka’s eyes snapped open. He looked at his phone that now said 5:20. Had he really fallen asleep for nearly 20 minutes? Adrien stirred behind him. “Hmmm… backup alarm. You’re so smart.” “I just have 10 minutes before they get here. I really have to get up this time.” “Fine.” Adrien whined but removed his arm from around his husband. “I guess you can go.” He might have been free from Adrien’s embrace but Luka didn’t actually want to be. The fact that he continued laying there a bit longer made Adrien laugh sleepily. Luka surrendered to his fate with a sigh that he was sure sounded like a disgruntled toddler, but he couldn’t be bothered to care. Finally, he unwrapped himself from the warm blankets and got out of bed. When he reached the door of the attached bathroom he switched on the light to it while “accidentally” also hitting the light for the bedroom itself. “Oops!” Adrien winced at the sudden brightness, but it was Plagg who actually hissed at him from his own little bed in the corner. Sass merely curled in on himself more to shield his eyes from the light. “Oops nothing, you did that on purpose.” Adrien muttered.
“Maybe I did. Maybe I just wanted to see your handsome face.” Luka mused. Adrien propped himself up on his elbows just to give Luka a deadpan stare from the bed. The blonde hadn’t put his hair up the night before and his long waves were quite a mess of tangles atop his head, with some strands crossing his face. In truth, Luka genuinely loved to see Adrien so disheveled— a way no one was allowed to see him back when his life was completely controlled by someone else. It reminded him of how far his husband had come. Even if Adrien was currently only concerned with the blinding light and the fact that he was awake when he’d clearly rather not be. “Well, now that you’ve seen it. Can you turn the light back off?” Adrien dropped his head back into the pillow face first. Luka laughed, but he mercifully turned the bedroom light back off. Then, he quickly got dressed to meet the client. As he was brushing his teeth he heard a knock on the front door. A glance at his phone revealed the time. “It’s only 5:25.” Luka rolled his eyes. As if the planned time wasn’t already early enough. “I’m going to cataclysm them.” Adrien’s voice was still muffled from the pillow. “You are not.” “Well, if he won’t then I will. Who shows up early for something so early. They’re clearly evil.” Plagg whined. “To Cataclysm them you’d have to actually get out of bed.”
“Never mind.” Adrien and Plagg said in unison. Luka smiled as he heard a soft laugh coming from a sleepy Sass. Luckily the business exchange with the client didn’t take very long. They were happy with Luka’s craftsmanship. They paid him and even gave an extra tip for his speedy work on the project. It wasn’t long before the client left and Luka returned to the bedroom. He could hear Adrien’s deep breathing indicating that he had indeed fallen back to sleep. The clothes Luka had quickly put on were comfortable enough that he didn’t bother changing out of them or anything. He just hoped he could actually go back to sleep after the interruption. It wasn’t like Luka kept a strict sleeping schedule, but waking up so early and staying up didn’t seem like the best idea. He got back into bed and the movements caused his husband to stir. Luka again laid on his side and Adrien automatically wrapped his arms around him and cuddled close to his back. It was impossible to tell if Adrien was awake at that point or just moving on instinct. Adrien’s hand had settled on Luka’s chest. The guitarist rubbed the back of it before moving it to his lips. He gave the hand a gentle kiss. In that moment he couldn’t help but be grateful for the life he had. Things could have gone very differently for him, and certainly for Adrien. And yet both of them were here, together, safe and free.
“I love you, my muse.” He said softly. Adrien began to purr again. As it turned out Luka had no need to worry about returning to sleep for the next few hours. He drifted off comfortable and loved in Adrien’s arms.

The Song of our Hearts (Lukadrien June)
Day 4: Soft Looks
Juleka asks Luka to help her and Rose on their school project but he's completely useless as he's staring at Adrien. You can read on Ao3 here.
@lukadrien-june
(Also, for those wondering, after day 7, most of prompts will be established relationship)
Adrien is standing next to Marinette and they’re working on their project. According to Juleka, they had to do something uniting the interests of both students. Adrien’s idea was to make and design clothes based on the superheroes of Paris and they would model them together. It’s a bit of a lie since his close friends know that he doesn’t enjoy modeling that much, but his smile while working with her is a genuine one. He told me once that he’d gladly model anything Marinette makes.
Marinette.
I liked her and if I’m being honest, I still like her very much, but I understand that her heart belongs to someone else, to Adrien. She doesn’t say his name anymore and she denies that she still has feelings for him, saying that she’s talking about another boy, one I don’t know of, Alya neither apparently.
Adrien makes a pun about fabric and Marinette groans but it quickly turns to giggles. His blond hair shines under the sunlight entering by the large windows and his emerald eyes sparkle. His smirk makes butterflies in my stomach. He points something to her with his finger who mastered the piano while his sleeve rolls up his arm strengthened by hours of fencing practice. Why do I always fall for people who like others?
Adrien turns and catches me looking at him. His smile softens and his cheeks turn light pink. Must be the heat of the room, it’s pretty crowded. He waves at me before turning back to Marinette. I slowly wave back at him, but I’m too late for him to see me, to lost processing what had just happened. I feel his song picking up pace and speed as if he is excited. I mean, who wouldn’t when working with Marinette.
"You know you’ve been staring at Adrien a lot, Rose asks with her singsong voice. - I’m not that bad… - You’ve been staring for more than 30 minutes, everyone noticed, adds Juleka, you’re worse than Marinette… - Hey! I’m not that bad! - You two have been exchanging soft looks the whole afternoon. We asked you to come to help us with our project, not stare at your lovey boyfriend across the room, mocks my sister. - You’re already good musicians, why would you need my help here? And he’s not my boyfriend! - Right, you’d rather continue practicing Adrien’s heart song to serenade him into your arms, she retorts. - Juleka, that’s so romantic! It could really work! Adrien has been looking at you a lot and he speaks of you fondly in class. - He does? - Yeah, and since Marinette keeps talking about this other guy, we can help get you two together!"
Rose’s voice rises a few octaves, getting the attention of a few people, including Adrien. He looks at me, frowning questioningly, and I shrug as if I didn’t know what she was talking about. I lose myself in his green eyes again. He smiles again, but this time more awkwardly as if he was caught something wrong, and looks away. His hand scratches the back of his neck, his typical gesture when he’s shy and embarrassed. Juleka elbows me roughly, efficiently bursting my bubble again. She shoves my guitar in my hands.
"Either play his song or help us, but do something."
I see the wheels turn inside Rose's head to find a plan to get me and Adrien together, so I choose the safe road and help them with their composition for now. I play some notes and Adrien turns to look at me, but I shut my eyes close and concentrate on the music. One day I’ll play for him, but not today.

A Siren’s Symphony
Euphoric Love: Lukadrien Drabbles
haha lookit that I finally wrote another one >:’D
Ao3
Adrien sat by the shore, his toes digging into the soft white sand as he gazes upon the vast sea. He closes his eyes, breathing in the scent of the briny air.
They’d driven out to La plage de Morgat à Crozon for a swimsuit shoot. It wasn’t exactly a vacation, but it was nice whenever they visited this beach.
There was always something to find; it had lots of coves, beautiful seashells, and plenty of pebbles scattered about. Whenever they were on break, he’d skip pebbles on the surface of the water and collect as many shells as he could.
When he was younger, Nathalie caught him with his pockets filled to the brim with sand and shells, and she made him toss all of it back. Now he tries to pick a few of the prettiest iridescent ones to bring back home. Although he always found it difficult to choose just a couple, really all of them were stunning in their own ways. Sometimes he took the muckiest ones to clean up and keep, feeling upset that they might otherwise be left alone and forgotten on the shore.
Adrien pulled his knees up close to his chest, staring at the bright moon off in the distance, its reflection bouncing off the water.
He'd snuck out from the inn they were staying at, which wasn’t very difficult to do considering that he had a room all to himself. All he had to do was walk out.
He probably spent a good solid two hours tossing and turning in those sterile white sheets, his heart feeling rather heavy in his chest. It was just one of those unpleasant times when he was away from home, away from his friends. The loneliness was overbearing, it made him feel small and scared. All he wanted was to be able to curl up into his mother or father’s side again, for them to gently stroke his head and whisper that everything would be alright until sleep overtook him.
He just wanted to breathe, he thought, sighing deeply and closing his eyes.
There is nothing but him, the sound of the waves as they gently crash against the shore, and the deep empty hole left in his burdened heart.
Curiously enough, he could have sworn he was hearing something else as well.
It sounded like a song, a distant melody murmuring in his ear.
It almost sounded like the way felt inside, echoing back at him like a quiet symphony, somber yet ethereal.
For a moment he thought it was his exhaustion making him hear things, but as he slowly opened his eyes, still hearing the quiet song off in the distance, he gasped and pushed himself up from the sand.
The sound couldn't possibly be coming from anyone living nearby, it was past midnight, everyone was asleep. It almost sounded as though it was coming from the beach itself.
Adrien pressed his palms onto a large rock, peering over it to look into the water.
There's something blurry beneath it, blending with the blue yet glittering more than the ocean itself. They slowly rise up, droplets sliding off their face and splashing back down. Both of their eyes lock with one another, earthy green crashing with sea blue.
There's a long pause, as they stare at each other in awe.
"You seemed upset." the blue-haired boy blurted out suddenly.
"I… what?" Adrien said after a moment, blinking a few times as though trying to make sure he wasn't dreaming.
"The music, I was playing it because you seemed upset…" he rambled, "That's how you found me, right? I-... I didn't expect you to find me."
"What are you?" Adrien breathed in absolute wonder, studying their appearance. He had ombre hair and dazzling eyes, gills on his neck, patches of scales running along his arms where an elegant silver cuff decorated his upper arm, and a shimmering tail beneath the water, appearing as blurred light blue with tips of navy. "Are you some kind of mermaid?" he asked.
“No,” he chuckled softly, “We don’t call ourselves that. I’m more like a siren, as your kind would put it.”
Adrien gasped, his eyes widening, “Are you going to capture me?”
“Oh, no! No, nothing like that,” he rushed out, “I mean, unless you wanted me to capture your heart,” he tries to save with a wink, albeit rather awkwardly.
“Huh.” Adrien said as his stance relaxed, “I’m Adrien, by the way. What’s your name?” he asked.
“Adrien…” he whispered under his breath, making the blonde blush a little. “Ah, I’m sorry. Luka, my name is Luka,” he said.
“Oh, that sounds pretty,” he said with a smile. Adrien blinked a few times before tilting his head in curiosity, “Where did that music come from? It-... It sounded lovely.”
Luka smiled at him, lifting up his arm to reveal the instrument in his hand that was concealed beneath the water, "It came from this harp."
"Whoa, all of that from that little thing?" Adrien said, surprised. It sounded like a whole ensemble to his ears, an orchestra singing to him.
Luka chuckled, amused at his wonder, “Yeah, things work a little differently where I’m from, to say the least.”
“Wow, no kidding.” Adrien said, glancing at Luka and then to the vast sea. It baffled him to think there was a completely different world out there.
He felt his heart pick up in pace and he wasn’t sure if it was because of his pure awe or if it was because of him.
“Do you think-...” Adrien started, he hesitates, “Could you stay out here with me? Just for a bit?”
Luka looked at him in surprise before lightly smiling, “Sure.”
They moved to where they both sat beside each other on the shore, Adrien loosely holds onto his wrist and Luka doesn’t question it. Luka tangled his fingers with Adrien’s, causing him to snap his head around to search his eyes. Luka simply gives him a gentle smile, squeezing his hand before looking back toward the horizon. Adrien’s shoulders relax, turning to gaze along with him the soothing night scenery of the beach.
Adrien’s eyes eventually slipped closed, resting his head against Luka’s, falling into a peaceful slumber as Luka hummed softly into his ears the symphony that was his heart.
