Peter von Doom AU

Peter was adopted by Richard and Mary Parker when he was just a baby. They adopted him from an orphanage where he had been dropped off, with no one knowing who his parents were or if they were even alive. He was left with a single note that just said his name was Peter and when his birthday was.

Everything then plays out as it does in canon with the eventual death or Mary and Richard, Peter getting taken care of by May and Ben, him getting bitten by a spider and developing powers, Ben dying and him deciding to become Spider-Man.

The difference is that, for some reason, one of the superhero teams (Avengers or F4) do a DNA test on him and oops, would you look at that, it pings him as the son of Victor von Doom.

Peter has an existential crisis because 1) he didn't know he was adopted and 2) his bio dad is one of the most terrifying villains there is. He's fought his dad on numerous occasions! He's thrown cars at his dad!

Doom eventually learns that he's got a son. He finds out that it's Peter but doesn't learn that he is Spider-Man and now he wants him to return with him to Latveria.

That's kinda it so far. I dunno, the idea just popped up in my head and it's been haunting me all day so I had to share it.

Out of love, I'm reading all Miguel's appearances and sadly I reached that part where I must face Slott's writing and jfc. I only read, like, 5 or 6 issues and was flabbergasted to see 1) ableist Aunt May and 2) Silk's "condition" (as in, whenever she's next to Peter, their pheromones active and they want to f* like rabbits).

THIS MAN IS SO GROSS, EVERYTHING HE WRITES IS GROSS, ESPECIALLY WHEN WRITING WOMEN. I WANT HIM GOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE.

Why the fuck is ANYONE excited for Robert Downey Junior as VICTOR VON FUCKING DOOM??!

Regardless of the fact that Disney once again whitewashing a Romani character for the third time in a fucking row makes it an automatic fail.

There is exactly one good option that is automatically disqualified due to the amount of money being spent on him.

RDJ is getting an 80 MILLION dollar pay plus additional expenses PER MOVIE. Disney is gonna play him up as much as possible. Let's look at the options for him as Doom as I see it.

They play him as an evil Tony Stark variant. This will only lead to the worst, cheapest, "I just learned how to write" tier, bullshit drama you could possibly imagine. Peter going "OMG he looks just like Tony" is not good writing, it is trash.

They play him as Victor Von Doom. Why the fuck did they hire the actor who played their biggest character to play another character who has nothing to do with Tony? One Quip, one change in his tone, a single look at his face and the entire illusion is destroyed and you just end up confused that RDJ is back but not as Tony for some reason.

And again, regardless of the fact that casting a generic white dude to play a Romani character already disqualifies him, the only way this could possibly work is if he completely changes his voice to be unrecognizable, never shows his face once, and none of the characters comment on the fact that he looks like Tony. In which case they could have hired literally anyone else. They could have hired a voice actor and a stunt man and gotten better results.

This is the most desperate, dishonorable, bullshit casting choice I could have possibly imagined. And that's not even getting into how much this will utterly and irrevocably fuck over the Comics Doom for the sake of "Brand Synergy"

And if anyone tries to pull up What If? Iron Man Demon in an Armor or Infamous Iron Man, you clearly didn't actually read those fucking comics because I have and I know that they have nothing to do with this.

Spideytorch fanfic idea. Peter writes a thesis on molecular engineering that attracts the attention of Doctor Doom who, impressed by Parker's mind, seeks him out. They get talking and somehow Peter manages to befriend him. He has no clue how it happened but Doom for some reason finds him humorous and now they are buddies.

Johnny is jealous and convinced that this is just some ploy by Doom to get to the Fantastic Four while Reed is confused, and slightly hurt, that Peter managed to befriend Doom while he couldn't.

Idk, I just think it would be funny for Doom to see Peter's apartment, become so disgusted by his poor living conditions that he buys him a new one because 'no friend of Doom can be allowed to live like this'. He also doesn't approve of Peter dating Johnny, not because he's homophobic or anything but because he thinks Peter can do so much better. Tries to introduce him to other scientists or nobles from Latveria.

Doom: "Come on Parker, he can't even do quantum physics!"

Peter: "But-"

Doom: "There is a duke about your age back in Latveria that has a doctorate in chemical engineering that would be a perfect match for you. Not to mention that he's easy on the eyes."

Ok, so I hate the RDJ casting for Doctor Doom as much as the next guy, but you guys know what would be funny?

If they brought back Iron Man as well, but HE is actually Victor von Doom now, and Doctor Doom is gonna be a Tony Stark Variante.

And Perer is gonna have the next worst day of his life.

The funny thing about Joseph Quinn being the MCU Human Torch is how often I see his looks being compared to RDJ...

A comparison I only recently became aware of in not really being a follower of "Stranger Things”. Initially got me thinking about how of course Chris Evans was the original Johnny Storm, so between that and the Tony Stark resemblance (and going by this snap Quinn will be dyeing his hair blond for the role so there is the mix), I could easily imagine him as a Tony x Steve child and I do not even ship it. Or if not between them directly then Tony hooking up with Evans Johnny as a Steve variant with this one being a junior then.

Of course my initial imagine is now more complex with the casting of Victor Von Doom; and presumably the Avengers 5 Victor will originate from the same universe as the Fantastic Four that will be joining the sacred timeline. I will probably just modify the AU in my head accordingly (Doctor Doom is the real father of MCU ‘J Storm’, hahahaha). Just thought TonySteve shippers could still appreciate the vision.
