Ever since that day, Astarion learns how to connect himself to their world. He learned how to communicate, letting his crush type where options would be, being able to hear them, and then he finally found out how to see them.

WIBTA if I played the last game by myself? to find it-> 🎮👾🕹️

So I [26NB] and three of my friends have been playing this game series for a while now it’s been probably a little under a year at this point that we’ve been chugging through these games (there’s, I believe, five games in total with a spin off and each game has multiple parts/chapters). We’ve been setting aside a day every week depending on our work and life availability to play through it. Normally getting a chapter a night or half a chapter depending on the length. Of course not every week we can do it cause of life and that's totally fine.

A little extra info on the games because I find it relevant. So the first game I actually played by myself cause the other three started without me (this was their thing they planned and invited me into later when I showed interest in the game) and I spent that time working to catch up to where they were in the game so I could join them. I did have a lot of fun playing the game as the game play is just as fun as the story to me and even when I get stuck the walk throughs are really easy to read and helpful. I'm not known for my gaming and actually watch playthroughs for stuff instead of plaything them myself cause I just all around suck at video games but this is one of the few games I like playing personally.

Once I played through the first game I hopped onboard the group plays with the other three to hang out and play together. Two of the friends have already played the whole series (lets call ‘em Lucy and Zeref) and know all the story where me and the third friend (let's call them Gray) didn't know anything at all about the series before we started playing. Part of the joy of these games for the both of us is getting to experience the exciting story in real time. As these games actually have a fairly large following and are pretty popular but some how both of us have gone most our lives with little to no spoilers for the series. This game is also full of crazy twists and turns that are VERY exciting to experience live.

Because of this fact I've also spent so much effort and time staying away from spoilers but still trying to interact with the fandom which is where not impossible just kinda frustrating cause there's a lot of art and fics and convos I'm missing out of because of it. I've even made another friend outside of this small group who ALSO likes these games but we don't talk about them much cause they're afraid of spoiling things for me by accident. Which, while very kind of them, is also in it's own way kinda frustrating.

We are currently on the fourth game and, honestly I've been thinking about just playing the last game and the spin off by myself at this point. There's two reasons for this. The first is that the games are just dragging on far too much to be fun anymore for me. I think it’s a mix of the fact that this fourth game is apparently one of, if not the, longest in the series and also that because of scheduling changes our weekly get togethers are much shorter now. Both of these factors causing us to take much longer to get through the chapters and this game. It’s really making it much harder to enjoy and even my roommate last week said I looked really tired and seemed burnt out during the session. It also doesn’t help that these meetups are online so I also don’t get to physically play the game myself and I can’t just ask to have the controller for a bit cause all of us are states away. 

The other part to this is that, honestly, me and these friends have not been talking as much. Something happened around the time we started the fourth game where I had a bunch of huge life changing events happen to me and I was severely depressed and grieving because of it. Due to some mixed up emotions on all sides and miscommunication, we had a hiccup in our friendship. There was a moment where I was genuinely scared of losing them but we talked it out like adults and things were better. However, ever since then it really does feel like the three of them talk a lot less to me now. I, at first, believed it was just my imagination. I do have some issues with my perception of reality due to mental heath but I always keep a very strong foot on the ground and go to people when I really feel like I can’t tell if I’m being crazy or not. So I chalked it up to me having a Moment(™) and just kept on like nothing was wrong. I even threw myself into DMs and out a lot more to try and make up for it. Instead of hiding away and being sad I tried to get them to interact with me more by really engaging in our friendships and chats. Unfortunately this hasn’t really helped the feeling of growing separation and light (possibly even unconscious) ignoring on their parts and I’m really feeling weighed down by it these days. It’s making these sessions even harder for me because no matter how much fun I have with them it makes the silence outside of the calls even more hollow and gut wrenching. 

A while back I did actually go to Gray and talk about my feelings mostly towards the way us playing the game is taking so long and causing burn out, and even suggested that instead of leaving the game nights completely, just playing the rest of them on my own and still hopping in with them when they do it. Gray was really sad with this cause they really enjoyed how both of us were going in blind together and they didn’t wanna be the only one who didn’t know anything while everyone else did. I understand that and felt really bad so I kept playing with them as a group. But the above feelings just got worse and worse. 

To top it off, Lucy has stopped coming to the game nights all together and I don’t really know why. As far as I’m aware they haven’t said anything at least not publicly in our chat about it and I didn’t feel it my place to pry. They also just haven’t been talking in the chat at all which feels extra bad cause I’ve always felt closest to Lucy and Gray at the end of the day. I’ve been chatting with Lucy in DMs here and there and they never seem disinterested in our conversation or like they no longer wanna be friends or anything. But it’s still really saddening as I am not really the DM type of person and am better at interacting in group chats and the like. So I feel like our already dying friendship is just going down hill faster. 

I just really wanna play the games and get it over with. I miss being able to play them physically and these game nights are starting to just worsen my mood as we go. I’m really not sure what to do cause I know Gray (and probably Zeref a little too) will be real upset if I drop out completely or if I play ahead of them. A part of me almost thought about playing the games in secret and pretending like I didn’t to spare their feelings and still make it fun for them and relieve all this stress off myself which I don’t know if that would be better or worse

I added as much Game stuff as I could such as action figures, a whole gamer desk set up and all sorts of other game decor. The action figures in the middle are based on the characters they played in the Doomed video game they played in Teacher Of the Year, The blue one has a Halo style sword! That wolf girl is also from the show in Reality Trip that Tucker thought was hot from that comic convention.

I also added a bit of his inventor/smart teen vibes in there as well with the tool box and Phantom Drone he’s working on like how he was suppose to in the show’s future! I also added an inspirational quote from Lewis Howard Latimer, a famous Black Inventor, a Hidden Figures poster, a finished Rubik’s cube, binders that could be for recording his research, a University of Minnesota flag(Heard Amity’s suppose to be Minnesota) and some ribbons I see him won from science fairs! I like showing him with a big brain🧠💡

For his books, I added a Pokémon Card collection, AKIRA, Greatest Innovators, Ecto as Alt-Energy, Dune, Brave New World and Transformers More Than Meets The Eye Volume:1-5.

There was never really a lot of episodes that showed Tuckers room but I found some pics, from Frightmare and Teacher Of the Year. It showed some tech stuff and I wanted to push that even more, especially with his love of gaming. I also made it more yellow, his motif color💛💛💛

Chapter 7 - The Game Night👾🎮📺

Synopsis: you (yn 🦊) are the 8th member of Bangtan and get to enjoy making music, filming fun side projects for army and hanging out with your members

Pairings: platonic! Ot7 x gn! Reader

Warnings: mentions of a horror genre video game (nothing too graphic), yn struggles with nightmares and sleeping

A/n: slightly on the shorter side, pure comfort fluff fic of how I think a video game night with Bangtan would go��� reader is gender neutral so read honorific’s as they apply to you

You put on your fluffiest, most oversized sweatshirt and slid on your fluffy BT21 slippers. You made your way to the dorms living-room but paused at your bedroom door, making the last minute decision to grab 8 face masks for you and the boys to use for some self care.

As promised Jungkook had set up the gaming system, Tae had gathered snacks, Yoongi was pouring (non-alcoholic) drinks and with a mound of pillows and blankets waiting on the couch, you and the boys were all set for game night.

“Time for your skin to glow!” you proclaimed smearing the jelly sheet mask onto Jimin’s face.

“Ah yn-ie it’s so cold” jimin complained with a pout.

“Beauty is pain Jiminie” you tsked him.

“But I’m already beautiful” he rebutted sassily.

“Yes you are oppa/hyung but you need to have a good skincare routine”

“Listen to your dongsaengie, they’re very wise Jimin-ah” Yoongi said, voice muffled through his already applied face mask flapping over his mouth.

Jungkook and Taehyung were playing Fall Guys in a 1v1 game, making all kinds of frustrated noises.

“Ahh noo don’t fall!!!”

“Yah they picked me up I can’t move!!”

“This level is too hard!!”

“What are you talking about hyung this is one of the easy levels”

At the end of their rounds Tae flunked out at the second level while Jungkook had made it to the semi final but missed the qualifier by one player.

“Aishhh” he complained setting the controller down, “so close”

“Who’s next?” Tae said waving his controller.

“Me!” you leaped up from your spot next to jimin to grab the controller.

“Yah” Tae said waving the controller teasingly high about his head, “what’s the magic word?”

“… borahae?” you said cutely, tilting your head.

Tae rolled his eyes, suppressing a smile.

“Yah here you go little one… don’t be so cheesy” he passed you the controller and pulled you back down to the couch snugly between him and Jimin.

“Oppa/hyung, play against me please!” you asked the room.

They all looked confusedly around the room.

“Wanna specify which oppa/hyung, your asking?” Joonie said huffing a laugh out.

“No” you said, shooting him a finger heart.

“Aish, don’t be a menace baby petal,” jin chided, “here Jungkook let me have the controller”

“Here you go hyung”

You and Jin started your game. First with a relatively easy round of making the fall guys slide around and jump over the moving walls, then the next round got more tedious.

You fell off about 20 times and eventually lost the round, huffing with frustration as Jin qualified and you didn’t.

Tae was snickering next to you watching the replay of your fall guy dropping off the edge of the track.

“Yah your were just as bad as I was, Kim Taehyung”

“Aish not the full name” Jimin laughed.

“Dongsaengie’s have no respect these days” Tae said poking your side and shaking his head in faux disappointed, making you squeak.

“Pass the Doritos kookie?” you asked.

“Sure, noona/hyung”

“See, the maknae still knows his honorific’s…”

“Yahhhh….” Jin did his characteristic shout, startling everyone in the room as his character fell and he got disqualified from the round.

“Aish none of you are good at this game, let me have a go” Yoongi said.

While Jimin and Yoongi played the round, you giggled and watched the screen as they were proven just how annoying that game was. You also set about putting the rest of the boys face masks on.

“What’s the scent, yn-ie?” Namjoon asked as you smoothed the corners around his nose, “it’s so nice”

“Mint choco” you smiled, winding him up.

“What??!?”

“Pffft, ahahaha”

“Ah joonie they got you there”

“Aish I didn’t believe there was a mint choco face mask anyway” he said indignantly as the boys wound him up too.

“There’s lots of flavours these days Joonie”

“Flavours, yn-ie? I hope you don’t eat face masks?”

“Aish Hobi” you giggled, “you know what I mean”

“Why is my face mask silver I look like a robot” Hobi complained.

“You’re the Hobitron 3000, oppa/hyung” you giggled.

“Yeah yeah…”

“You’re in quite the joking mood tonight baby petal” Jin said.

“I’m just happy that it’s our night off, oppa/hyung” you sighed.

“Tell me about it, my feet are killing me from all that dance practise” Tae said, “anyone want to rub them for me?”

He stuck his large bare foot out towards you, Jin and Jimins faces and your all grimaced, wriggling away.

“Aish Tae!”

“Put the dogs away Taehyungie”

“They’re only feet guys wow”

“Has anyone noticed that I made it to the final round?” Yoongi asked the room monotonously.

“Ah well done hyung” Jungkook said now having a dig into the bag of popcorn.

“Okay Joonie’s and Hobi’s turn then we can play Mario Kart right?” you directed the question towards Kook and Tae since it was their gaming set.

“Ooh yes we can play teams!” Jungkook said excitedly, “wanna be on my team noona/hyung?”

“Yes Kook, I’ll be on your team”

“What about my team?” Jimin pouted into your face.

“Let’s do maknaes vs hyungs” you suggested.

“Yesss” Tae agreed giving you a thwacking high five.

“Ow Tae now I’m not gonna be able to hold the controller properly… are you trying to sabotage the maknaes?”

“No no!” he looked imploringly at you, “sorry little one”

He pulled you round your middle to sit back against him, inhaling your scent. Everyone looked at the two of you lovingly.

Now the thing about your relationship with the boys and their relationship with each other was that you could be affectionate without it being weird or stepping over a line. The idol world could get lonely and you only really had each other at the end of the day. You could argue one minute (seriously or not) and then be close again the next.

This was especially the case with you and Tae. You were just younger than him and just older than Jungkook although Jungkook was definitely more little brother material, whereas Tae acted like the teasing big brother/best friend type. The rest of your oppas/hyungs treated you and the youngest maknae dotingly, joining in on your jokes and antics now and again.

After several rounds of Mario kart, the maknaes won overall and the hyungs decided to depart to bed. All except Hobi who volunteered to stay up and make sure no one got into too much mischief but he promptly fell asleep on the couch.

He was in such a deep sleep that he didn’t notice you switching games to something a bit more scary.

“Dead by daylight anyone?” Tae suggested scrolling through the game catalogue.

“Oohh yes put it on taehyungie hyung” Jungkook said.

“But what if Hobi hyung wakes up? He’ll give us into trouble for playing it with yn” Jimin said.

“I’m not a child Minie, I can play a silly game”

“Oh really? What about last time?”

“What time?”

“The time you slept on Jin hyungs floor for 3 nights after we played it because you were so freaked out” jimin popped an eyebrow.

“That was a year ago”

“It was this summer yn-ie” Tae reminded you.

“Thanks Tae” you said through gritted teeth.

“You’re welcome” he said throwing you a finger heart.

“I promise Minie, I’ll be fineeee” you smiled trying to look convincing.

“If you get scared I don’t mind you sleeping on my floor noona/hyung” Jungkook said nonchalantly.

“That’s very generous kook” you giggled.

“Okay let’s play”

You had to admit that even though you weren’t TERRIFIED of the game, the background music and character design was especially unsettling. Especially with the tense objective of the game, trying to lurk around the abandoned dark yard evading the creepy looking villain from capturing your character. And the fact the dorm itself was dark from it being nighttime outside and the boys preferential low lighting inside.

You let the boys go first - Jungkook won his game but Minie and Tae failed theirs. Then they gave you the controller. After first putting on the game, that was their second mistake.

The minute your character started to get chased by the villain and the sound of the thumping heart and screaming played loud over the speakers, you gave a loud squeak (well, a noise halfway between a squeak and a shriek).

“Wha- what’s wrong…” a sleepy Hobi rose up to his elbows with eyes half open from being alerted awake.

“Nothing hyung everything’s fine, go back to sleep” Jimin hushed.

But Hobi had already wipes his eyes and sat up, looking around for the danger. His eyes landed on the massive flat screen playing the game which had been put back onto the game menu now that your character got captured. Then he took a look at your guilty faces.

“Alright whose idea was this?” he asked unimpressed but too tired to go full pelt.

Silence. Guilty silence.

“Ah… Hobah… it was my idea” you said eventually and sheepishly.

“You sure it wasn’t one of your brothers here?” he asked with arms crossed and eyebrow arched.

“No, no oppa/hyung… and really it’s fine, I can handle horror games now” you tried to convince him.

“Mhmm” he sounded decidedly unconvinced, “so I suppose you don’t mind me telling your oldest oppa/hyung about this tomorrow?”

The boys paled a bit and so did you. They and you knew how protective Jin could be over his two youngest members.

“Ah well I don’t think Jinnie…” you struggled to find the words, “… he might be annoyed so maybe don’t tell him?”

“Mhmm” Hobi sized you all up again, standing like a bunch of mischievous children even though you were all adults (the hyungs could just get overprotective of you all even now).

“Well I think it’s late enough and we do have work tomorrow, so everyone off to bed” Hobi shut the gaming system off and ushered you all in the direction of the bedrooms.

Usually there would be huffs of complaints at being sent to bed these days but no one protested.

But you wanted to protest. Now lying in the dark of your room you could still see the game monsters face and envisioned it coming into your room, a dark bulging shadow coming to sweep you away. And the screams and the heart thumping sound effects. It was all very unsettling.

You tried to scroll through Instagram and tiktok, play some relaxing music even but nothing worked to settle you. So you resorted to the thing you said you wouldn’t.

🦊: soooo… I might be a bit freaked out again

You shuffled down the hall to kooks room, blanket, phone and water bottle in hand.

He peeled back the bed covers for you to slip in and he switched round to the foot of the bed, giving you the head end, though you protested. But you were both about ready to fall asleep anyway.

“Night yn-ie” he yawned.

“Night koo”
