Aholiday party hosted by local Michigan politicians turned into a pro-Palestinian protest that reportedly led to a violent shoving match resulting in one Democratic activist being hospitalized.
The incident occurred December 16 during a private holiday party hosted by the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party at the Common Pub in Detroit. Things quickly became raucous when about 20 to 30 pro-Palestinian protesters, part of the Palestinian Youth Movement and Party for Socialism and Liberation, entered the bar and confronted Representative Shri Thanedar over his support for Israel.
The metropolitan Detroit area has become a hotbed since Hamas launched a surprise attack in Israel on October 7, leading to protests and tension-filled situations between local Jews and Palestinians.
Thomas Becker, a spokesperson for Thanedar, told Newsweek via email that some 200 people were in attendance. No security was present, and the only people there before the situation escalated were party goers and venue staff. He had no further comment.
Wayne County Commissioner Jonathan Kinloch, who represents District 2, posted a 45-second video clip from the event on X, formerly Twitter. Pushing, shoving and yelling can be seen and heard in the footage, all taking place over gospel music in the background.
Kinloch said the pro-Palestinian supporters "caused chaos and mayhem," badly injuring local Black activist Bobbie Avington-Smith, a Democrat. She suffered two black eyes and was admitted to a local hospital for medical attention, according to Bridge Detroit.
Newsweek reached out to Kinloch via phone and email for comment.
Detroit Police Department spokesman Jordan Hall told Newsweek on Wednesday that the incident is still under investigation and that no arrests have been made.
"It was something we never expected," 91-year-old party attendee Bernice Smith told local ABC affiliate WXYZ.
One attendee told Deadline Detroit that protesters chanted, "Shri, you can't hide, we charge you with genocide," in reference to the thousands of Palestinian deaths in Gaza in relation to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
A video posted on Instagram by the account "detroit2palestine" shows former Detroit Police Commissioner Bernice Smith using her cane to defend herself against protesters.
Smith's son, Sterling Jackson, told Bridge Detroit's Malachi Barrett that he was the first person to jump into the fray because he feared for his mother's well-being.
"I started it because I couldn't believe they are doing this and nobody was doing anything," Jackson said.
On Monday, a joint press conference was held by Thanedar, Kinloch and other Democrats representing the 13th district who referred to the protesters as rioters.
"They didn't have a right to be there, first and foremost," Kinloch said, according to video from the press conference posted on X by Barrett. "It's not about whether or not they were being violent, whether or not they were being disruptive. They were not supposed to be there.
"The owner asked them to leave, I asked them to leave. They refused to leave so they were removed from a place where they had no business and no legal right to be in."
Kinloch added that there was no security because it was a holiday party aimed to be a celebration and nobody expected any protests or violence, adding that they put the safety and security of senior attendees at risk.
Any concerns about Thanedar's position on the war in Gaza could have been accomplished via other avenues, Kinloch added.
"This is not going to give you support for your cause," Thanedar said on Monday. "I welcome them to come to my office. I welcome them to invite me to town halls where I could come and we can have a dialogue."
Wayne State University, located near the pub, and Detroit police responded to the scene.
Last year, the city of Dearborn drew national attention when its residents elected Abdullah Hammoud as its first Muslim and Arab American mayor. Hammoud has been outspoken in support of the Palestinian cause the past two months, leading a city of about 110,000 residents composed more than half of citizens of Middle Eastern or North African (MENA) ancestry and mostly Arab.
Michigan, one of a handful of states expected to decide the 2024 presidential election, is home to about 90,000 Jewish residents and more than 300,000 residents of Middle Eastern descent.
A recent Newsweek poll of eligible Michigan voters found that about 46 percent of respondents disapprove of President Joe Biden's handling of the conflict.
In contrast, while Republican front-runner Donald Trump has led Biden in recent polls in Michigan, a statewide poll conducted in November found that Trump's various legal battles could determine his fate in next year's election should he be the GOP nominee.
Newsweek reached out to the Michigan Democratic Party via email for comment.

Shortwave Radiogram, 9-14 February 2024 (program 341): Digital modes made from sugar cane waste
WRMI has informed me that they have a new customer for Friday 1300-1330 UTC on 15770 kHz. Shortwave Radiogram will be transmitted one last time Friday, February 9, 1300-1330 during that 1300-1330 time slot. Shortwave Radiogram will then be moved to Wednesday 1330-1400 UTC, also on 15770 kHz, starting February 14. The schedule below shows the transmissions for this weekend and into next week. I'm glad that Shortwave Radiogram is still on 15770.  I seem to be able to hear WRMI on the frequency most of the day, via receivers in most of the world. This great reception is probably helped by the WRMI curtain antenna.  The Shortwave Radiogram definition of "weekend" was already stretched with a Thursday-Monday schedule. With Wednesday now added, I think we can discontinue references to "weekend." My dilemma now is to decide: when should the Shortwave Radiogram week begin?  Because I am used to finishing production on Wednesday and Thursdays, for the time being the Shortwave Radiogram week will be Friday through Wednesday, or Thursday through Wednesday after summer daylight time. World Radio Day 2024 will be February 13. Shortwave Radiogram will mark the occasion by transmitting a World Radio Day visual as the first MFSK64 image. A video of last weekend's Shortwave Radiogram (program 340) is provided by Scott in Ontario (Friday 1300 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany. Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 341, 9-14 February 2024, in MFSK modes as noted:   1:43  MFSK32: Program preview   2:51  MFSK32: Sugar cane waste converted to concrete substitute*   8:37  MFSK64: Compressed air storage system replaces batteries 14:46  MFSK64: This week's images* 28:42  MFSK32: Closing announcements Please send reception reports to [email protected] And visit http://swradiogram.net Twitter: @SWRadiogram or https://twitter.com/swradiogram (visit during the weekend to see listeners’ results) Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/567099476753304 Shortwave Radiogram Gateway Wiki: https://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Shortwave_Radiogram_Gateway

Canes Training Camp Day 1 !!
🏒 News + a few guesses/thoughts/opinions ect. 🏒
>> Most basic things are that everyone is back and there have been no travel problems for any of the international Canes. Only 38 guys are in town according to Michael Smith, so for sure smaller than you’d have normally. There are only 8 days of camp with the guys practicing every day up to the 13th with Saturday off. Group 2 practices at 9am and Group 1 at 11am.
>> Not much news about Group 2 practice, and I’m guessing it’s because it’s mostly prospects and AHL guys (Those the likes of Jarvis, Shore, the Cotton brothers, Forsling, Keane, Nedeljkovic, and more) Some of these players will most likely travel with the team as a part of the “taxi squad”.
>> The SAT line is not together for training camp and I’m thinking they’re just experimenting with lines and chemistry at the moment. I think we’ll see the three together more throughout training camp and into the season because of what they can offer the Canes in terms of offensive production. Right now the coaches and office seem more concerned on getting guys back into it and spreading out talent.
Forward lines today were as follows:
Niederreiter - Aho - Teravainen
Svech - Trocheck - Fast
Foegele - Staal - Necas
Dzingle - Martinook/Geekie - McGinn
>> The most notable thing about the forward lines is Jesper Fast being on the second line and Necas being on the third. Fast is a physical guy and so is Staal so they will probably want to balance speed and physicality. They also have Trocheck and Svech on the second line and Necas down to the third which makes sense in terms of balancing play. Trocheck and Necas play fast (no pun intended) and Svech can too if he wants. They have fast goal-scorers and physicality together on both lines which makes for a good mix if execution is right.
Defensive lines were as follows:
Slavin - Hamilton
Skjei - Pesce
Gardiner - Fleury
Ryan - Bean
>> Nothing too crazy except an extremely deep D-core, but you knew that already. Pesce is back in the lineup and seems to be fully recovered which is awesome for the Canes. I doubt they’ll switch up much here during the training camp or the season but you never know.
>> Reporters are allowed to watch at the WCC. Sara Civian and Michael Smith are included with others too (many that I’m not familiar with but I’m trying to get familiar with reporters !!)
>> Sara Civ (on Twitter): “It’s 11:42 am and SOMEONE is screaming”
>> Jordan Martinook (VIA Canes Twitter): “Good first day, it’s like we never left. Felt good out there. Energy is good. Everything went according to plan...”
In the Room: Jaccob Slavin (This is not a transcript of the entire interview, questions and answers may be edited for clarity. Only points that seemed important or interesting were included. You can find the whole interview on the NHL app or NHL.com)
Q: (in regards to training camp) So far, what’s different and what’s the same?
A: The intensity is the same, what we have to get done is heightened in the sense that we only have eight skates until puck drop... making sure we’re getting everything accomplished... it’s different in the sense of getting used to these [holds up a face mask], wearing these everywhere around the rink and in the locker room and just the little protocols we have to go through... we gotta do what we gotta do to play the season.
Q: Do you think this year will be more about execution than preparation given that you’re going to play the same teams over and over again?
A: Yeah... within a couple games of playing we’ll figure out the way we need to play. Obviously we have our system set in place and when we execute that we’re one of the best in the league... so you worded it perfectly that execution is going to be key this year, and yeah it might get old playing the same teams over and over again so it’ll be who comes ready to play and executes what their game plan is.
Q: What are your thoughts on no preseason games? Is that a pro or a con to you?
A: I think it’s a con, honestly. I think all the guys appreciate being able to play a couple at least, just working out those little kinks. I also know Roddy’s running a camp where we are ready to go without any preseason games and that we are structured well enough and have all those little kinks worked out and ready to go. So if we can get off to a good start hopefully that’ll set us up for a good push through the season.
Final thoughts:
>> The guys seem to be happy to be back !! Some have been practicing at the WCC for a while now so it’s just a bit more coordinated for them with Rod being there now too.
>> Expect to see lines change throughout the week and into the 13th. It’s never truly set in stone and they’re working with getting new guys into the system and working with the chemistry.
>> The Canes are one of the few teams who didn’t change much during the offseason or lose anyone to surgery/injury. Waddell says everyone is healthy and good to go, which it seems like from an outsider’s view. The Canes were also reluctant to trade or sign many people. Whether that was because of season constraints or cap problems, we’ll never know but it could be an advantage, especially in the beginning.
>> Personally, I’m a bit concerned with safety protocols since this isn’t a bubble anymore. The NHL has been figuring things out and HOPEFULLY are making it as safe as possible but they need to rely on players to follow Covid rules and guidelines. Since the Canes are without fans indefinitely, I think the risk for sure goes down for them, but who knows. Guys have just got to be careful.
>> I also absolutely LOVE the 2nd and 3rd forward lines for the Canes, and the Gardiner/Fleury pairing is silent but deadly. Like Slavin said, it’s a matter of getting a good start and not having to figure out problems in the middle of the season that could’ve been worked out during camp. Relying on the 2nd and 3rd line production is part of that good start; with the talent and physicality spread out, it’s a matter of those guys executing and meeting the mark.
>> 10 days till Canes hockey !! 🏒

Families of service members killed, wounded by Saudi jihad mass shooting at Florida Naval Air Station file lawsuit
Tumblr media
Pensacola Navy base mass shooter had accomplices, help from Saudi Arabia, victims claim in terror lawsuit
Families of three slain U.S. service members and 13 others wounded in a mass shooting at Naval Air Station Pensacola in 2019 alleged Monday that the government of Saudi Arabia facilitated the attack that U.S. authorities concluded was an act of international terrorism.
A 152-page complaint in federal court in Pensacola makes startling new allegations that the shooter, Royal Saudi Air Force 2nd Lt. Ahmed Mohammed al-Shamrani, executed the attack with the support of “accomplices.” Those included fellow Saudi air force trainees, who he told of his plans at a dinner the night before and during a November visit to the 9/11 memorial in New York City to pay tribute to the hijackers, the plaintiffs alleged.
Al-Shamrani, who was killed by responding sheriff’s deputies, worked with al-Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula for five years to plan the Dec. 6, 2019, attack, U.S. authorities said last May after de-encrypting his phone.
The families also accused the Trump administration and Saudi government of reneging on pledges of support for families.
“In the eyes of the American people, there is no greater betrayal than the realization that a purported ally is, in fact, an enemy, “ the lawsuit asserts. It seeks damages for an attack the families say was caused by Saudi Arabia and its willful or grossly negligent acts in sending a terrorist operative “Trojan horse” into a U.S. program to train pilots flying billions of dollars of U.S.-sold warplanes.
“I think they knew he was out to destroy the American people, and he was a terrorist. Innocent lives were loss. It should have never happened,” said Evelyn Brady, a 20-year Navy veteran whose son, Airman Apprentice Mohammed Haitham, 19, was killed while running unarmed toward the shooter with his hands up, pleading with him to stop.
“They were supposed to take care of the families. … They’ve done nothing,” said Brady, who is represented with other plaintiffs by law firms led by Kreindler & Kreindler, which is also suing the kingdom on behalf of 9/11 victims and survivors.
A U.S.-based attorney for the Saudi government and spokesman for the Saudi Embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The lawsuit comes as U.S.-Saudi relations have fallen to a new low since January, with the new Biden administration canceling arms sales, criticizing human rights abuses and the harassment of dissidents and pledging to “recalibrate” ties with the kingdom and its de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The administration has said it will continue arms sales to the world’s biggest customer for U.S. weapons and signaled that it wants to continue a strong counterterrorism partnership.
But it is also expected to make public as early as this week a long-sought U.S. intelligence report concluding that the crown prince ordered the 2018 killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, and to press Riyadh to end its war in Yemen and to moderate their own extremism.
A State Department spokesman said it declined to comment on pending litigation, but the Pensacola families’ allegations further complicate U.S.-Saudi ties. There are also pending federal lawsuits against the prince and other Saudis by Khashoggi’s fiancee and by a former top Saudi intelligence officer and close U.S. intelligence ally now living in Canada who claims he was also targeted for assassination.
Saudi Arabia has been frequently targeted by terrorist groups, including al-Qaeda, which carried out large-scale attacks beginning in 2003, and more recently by assailants sympathetic to the Islamic State group. Attacks have been directed at government facilities, Westerners stationed in the kingdom and members of Saudi Arabia’s Shiite minority, who are considered heretics by hard-line Sunni Muslims.
In January 2020, then-Attorney General William P. Barr announced that the 15-minute rampage at the Florida base was an act of terrorism, with the FBI concluding that  Shamrani was motivated by “jihadist ideology.”
Barr and aides said that while it was initially reported that Shamrani arrived at the shooting site with others, who filmed it, he in fact arrived alone and that the investigation had not found evidence that anyone else acted with him.
Barr said 21 cadets from Saudi Arabia, including 12 from the Pensacola base, were disenrolled from their training and would be returning to the kingdom after U.S. officials said they found evidence that 17 Saudis had shared Islamist or anti-American material through social media. Fifteen — including some of those who had shared anti-American material — were found to have had contact with or possessed child pornography.
Barr said U.S. attorneys had reviewed each case and determined that such people would not normally be charged with federal crimes.
The families’ Pensacola lawsuit makes more specific allegations. They claim that Saudi authorities knew of the radicalization and anti-American and anti-Jewish statements of  Shamrani — an al-Qaeda operative who made his first contact with al-Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula by at least 2015 — which he shared via Twitter.
Shamrani was nevertheless one of two out of hundreds of students in his Royal Saudi Air Force Academy class awarded a scholarship to enter a joint military training program in the United States, the suit asserts.
It also claims that the Saudi commanding officer on base and 11 other trainees it did not name knew that Shamrani purchased and stored a 9mm handgun and ammunition on base in violation of U.S. and Saudi policy; and that Saudi officials left the commanding officer’s post unfilled from September 2019 until after the shooting.
“None of the Royal Saudi Air Force trainees at the scene of the attack reported  Shamrani’s behavior nor did they try to stop the NAS Terrorist Attack, because they supported it,” the suit asserts.
On Sept. 11, Shamrani posted a message on social media saying, “The countdown has begun,” and later that month sent a copy of his will to AQAP purporting to explain the coming attack, the suit alleges. That Thanksgiving weekend, the suit said, al-Shamrani visited the memorial in New York City to those killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, in which 15 of 19 hijackers were Saudi nationals.
Read the lawsuit here
The suit alleges that during the visit, the trainees “discussed the plans for the NAS Pensacola Terrorist Attack.” It also asserts that on Dec. 5, the night before the attack,  Shamrani hosted a dinner party for fellow trainees at which he screened videos of mass shootings and discussed his plans for the next day.
At least three trainees who attended the dinner called in sick the next morning, one of whom stood outside the building and recorded the shooting on his cellphone while two others watched from a nearby car, the suit claims.
That so many trainees were at least sympathetic to al-Qaeda and that several were “actually accomplices” demonstrates their belief that their extremist views “were in furtherance of [the kingdom’s] political and religious goals,” the suit claims.
Killed in the attack were Ensign Joshua Kaleb Watson, 23, of Enterprise, Ala., a recent Naval Academy graduate; Haitham, of St. Petersburg, Fla,; and Airman Apprentice Cameron Walters, 21, of Bryan County, Ga., days removed from boot camp and serving his first day on watch duty, who Shamrani approached from behind and shot in the back of the head.
Four Navy service members, a Navy civil servant, seven sheriff’s deputies and a Department of Defense police officer wounded in the attack also joined the suit. Two are partially disabled for life, including Airman George Johnson, 26, and Jessica Pickett, 20. Johnson, a single parent who now must use a cane, was hit seven times, including one bullet that was blocked by a metal “I love you” card from his mother in his wallet. Pickett, a Navy veteran and civilian employee, was struck nine times and has a metal rod in her left leg, a gap in her femur and requires a walker or wheelchair.
After expressing terrorist views for two years before being chosen for a coveted slot, training overseas to become a pilot, “An officer in their uniform murdered three Americans,” said Walters’s father, Shane Walters, 47, a former Navy F-18 Hornet mechanic and sales team manager at Gulfstream Aerospace.
“Why? How did he get here? They had to have known. … It’s shameful,” Walters said.
Walters condemned the Trump administration for failing to prioritize “dealing face-to-face” with the Saudis over the attacks. He also rebuked former president Donald Trump and the Saudi royal family for never personally speaking with the families of the killed or wounded U.S. service members.
The Trump administration was preoccupied with striking new arms and diplomatic deals and coddled Saudi Arabia “in a way no president ever has. I don’t think my son’s murder, or Mo’s murder, or Joshua’s murder, was a top priority,” Walters said.
The suit asserted that, adding “insult to injury,” Saudi Arabia has ignored or rebuked all attempts to discuss the families’ claims, as it purportedly promised in exchange for the U.S. allowing Saudi officers at Pensacola to immediately return home rather than face further investigation.
The suit cited then-President Trump saying to reporters after a phone call with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud: “The king will be involved in taking care of the families and loved ones. …  likewise the crown prince. They are devastated by what took place in Pensacola. And I think they are going to help out the families very greatly.”
However, neither the U.S. government nor the kingdom of Saudi Arabia “contacted my family or talked to the other families,” Walters said. After the attacks, representatives of his son’s last private employer came to Walters’s home to give him two challenge coins from the vice president, Walters said, “one for me and one for my wife. They couldn’t do it themselves.”
Foreign governments and leaders  are typically immune from civil suits in U.S. courts while in office. However, the lawsuit cited exceptions for terrorism and for victims of Saudi Arabia. It also cited a 1991 law called the Torture Victim Protection Act which provides recourse in U.S. courts for violations of international law and for victims of “flagrant human rights violations,” including torture and summary execution abroad.

Here is my full summary for the Boku No Hero Academia HEROES RISING movie! I originally posted it as a thread on Twitter, but here’s a more cohesive version for easy reading! Enjoy~
MOVIE SUMMARY
The movie starts off with Rock Lock, Endeavor, and another Pro-Hero in an epic car chase going after Spinner, Dabi, and Mr. Compress in a truck. They're transporting some important item somewhere, and there is a SICKASS fight between Endeavor and Dabi.
Endeavor uses his flamethrower and blasts it at Dabi, who scoffs at him but throws his blue fire at Endeavor. The blast from Endeavor is stronger though, and Dabi and co. give up as they turn to mud (via Twice's quirk). The truck then reels off the cliff.
Hawks is on the scene to check the damage of the truck. He wonders what exactly they were trying to deliver as the truck was heavily damaged by the fire. Later, we see Nine regroup with Slice, Mummy, and Chimera as he tells them they will soon leave.
After the opening scenes with the villains, we have a short recap of "society consists of 80% of the population with super powers" etc. etc. After the short narration, we immediately dive into scenes of the Class A members helping out on Nabu Island.
The first scene is two girls getting hit on by two guys, but Mineta helps save the girls by sticking the guys to the floor with his mogimogi balls. The girls see Ojiro and think that he's the one who saved him, but Ojiro blushes and says no it's not me!
Shoji is helping out at the beach as a lifesaver, and he spots a kid in trouble. Tsuyu dives into the water to help grab him, and then Satou rows the boat to save the boy. Tokoyami and Sero are also helping out at the beach.
Todoroki is helping the shaved ice stand make ice, and the shaved ice guy asks Todoroki to make more ice, and Todoroki creates a giant boulder of ice and says, "You can use this, right?" The shaved ice stand maker looks at him like wtf lol.
Next scene is Ashido, Ochako, Aoyama, Hagakure, Kaminari, and Deku sitting around in the Hero Agency headquarters on the island. Ashido is taking calls and dispatching Class A members to help out people around the island. They're all in hero costumes.
Bakugou and Kirishima are sitting in their own tatami room, and Bakugou is reading a magazine while lying down on the floor. Kirishima sits across from him. Ochako calls across the room and asks if anyone can help someone find a lost kid.
Kirishima offers to go, but Bakugou says to him in a light tone, "do you think your quirk would be effective to help pinpoint a lost boy?" and Kirishima looks at Bakugou like "Hmm actually..." Jirou volunteers instead and says her quirk would be helpful.
Deku narrates "so why exactly are we at the island? well..." There is a flashback to the Hero Committee saying that villains are getting stronger, and they need to train students to be prepared for anything. Aizawa tells Class A they need to do hero work.
Flash forward back to more montage of Class A members helping out with people around the island. Ashido and Aoyama are helping construction workers clear rubble, Kaminari is using his electricity to help power a farming tractor.
Kirishima is helping move cargo on a truck with the truck driver's wife and baby thanking him. He does his hardening pose and gestures "No problem!" but the hardening scares the baby, making the baby cry LOL.
Yaoyorozu helps repair a motorcycle. Deku, Ochako, and Jirou finding the "missing boy" at a playground. Deku approaches the boy but his sister comes to "save him" from the heroes. The kids then scurry away, leaving Deku, Ochako, & Jirou like wtf was that?
As the Class A members are helping around the island, All Might is back at U.A. and worries about whether they will be okay. Cut back to the kids at the island, and they're wearing their casual clothes now. They're super tired from the day's work.
The Class A members mention how this kind of hero work is still hard, even though they're not fighting anyone. However, the island citizens are thankful, and they bring a bunch of food for the kids to eat at the Hero Agency.
Bakugou and Kirishima are lounging in the tatami room together, and Bakugou mentions this kind of work is boring. Kirishima has his face on the table and looks at Bakugou like ;) as he says "Well, there's no villains here, so that's why."
Kaminari, Sero, Ojiro come and tell Kirishima to join them at the onsen bath and says that Bakugou can't go because he has to patrol the grounds since he didn't do any hero work all day long. Bakugou complains, but the guys leave him be.
As Bakugou is patrolling, Deku is outside training his quirk, and he thinks about OFA and how he can train himself to be able to use this power that All Might has given him. There is a brief scene where they show all the predecessors and silhouettes.
One of the silhouettes looks basically like Bakugou with burning red eyes, surrounded by a red aura. The other silhouette is drawn surrounded by a purple aura with their hair blowing in the wind. It is this exact scene from the manga, but clearer.
Tumblr media
As Deku is training, Bakugou sees him and asks him if he's made that quirk his own yet. Deku says he's getting there, and Bakugou says, "You think you can surpass ME even with that quirk perfected? Just try."
Suddenly, Katsuma comes hurriedly to Deku and says that a villain has appeared. Deku is about to help but Bakugou pushes him aside and grabs the kid, telling him to take him to where the villain is.
The next scene shows Hawks in a committee meeting. The Hero Committee mentions that the League of Villains managed to get a hold of perhaps the quirk nullifying bullet as there have been cases of people getting their quirks stolen.
They ask Hawks if he had heard anything about this, but Hawks said that he doesn't think that these incidents are from the quirk bullet. He thinks it's something else.
Next scene is Toga, Dabi, Mr. Compress, Spinner, and Shigaraki chilling at a rundown shack in the middle of nowhere. They complain to Shigaraki asking him what they're supposed to do. Shigaraki said that the Doctor has something for him.
Cut to Katsuma & Maholo's Dad on a business trip in Kyushu. He suddenly gets attacked by Nine, and Nine takes his quirk. The dad has a cell regeneration quirk. Nine suffers from some kind of ailment that causes his body to freeze up. He needs this quirk.
When Nine takes the Dad's quirk, he uses it to power up and calls lightning down to destroy parts of the city. He then freezes up as he realizes that the Dad's quirk cell regeneration isn't compatible with him. He then sees a video recording of the kids.
Nine then decides to aim for the kids as one of them must have a quirk that is similar to the Dad that might be compatible with his body. Nine is Blood Type B, so he needs someone that can help him regenerate his cells with the correct blood type.
We go back to Bakugou carrying Katsuma and asking him where the damn villain is. They then see a gigantic monster size Praying Mantis wrecking havoc on the side of the hill. Bakugou blasts off to fight the monster but then suddenly stops.
He realizes that the monster is a hologram, and Maholo's quirk is creating holograms of anything she wants. He could tell that the monster was fake because there was no shadow beneath the monster.
Bakugou is furious as he shouts to the girl if she's trying to make fun of him? He tells her that he's aiming to be Number 1 and doesn't need stupid kids to play pranks on him.
As he lunges at the girl, Deku holds him back, and Bakugou gets angry and wrestles Deku on the floor as Katsuma and Maholo scurry off.
The kids end up in a sugar cane field as they look at the stars. Maholo complains that she hates heroes because they're all talk. Katsuma says that they're good heroes though, but Maholo said that the best hero in her heart is their father.
Next scene is back in Kyushu where Hawks is looking at the damage to the city that was caused by Nine earlier that day. He wonders what exactly is going on.
Next day at the island, Ashido gets a call from an island citizen to help out. She dispatches Hagakure and Aoyama, and she tells Mineta that the girl sounded really cute on the phone. Mineta then says he's down to go help too.
Deku wants to go too, but as he leaves the Hero Agency building, he sees Katsuma approach him. Katsuma comes to apologize for the problems they made for him and Bakugou the previous day.
Bakugou also listens to Katsuma's apology as he is outside standing on the veranda and eating a popsicle. He listens to Katsuma explain that he wanted to prove to his sister that Heroes were good people who do come to the rescue when people are in need.
Deku tells Katsuma that it's no problem as his own goal is to become a great hero who can help save people. Bakugou listens carefully to their conversation, and Deku notes that Katsuma has an Edgeshot pin on his bag. He asks Katsuma if he likes heroes.
Katsuma says that he really admires Heroes, but Maholo just worries about him. Deku has a flashback of when his mom told him that she was always so worried about him because heroes put themselves in danger all the time.
Deku asks Katsuma, "What kind of hero do you want to be, Katsuma?" He then explains why he himself wants to be a hero. Bakugou stands at the veranda and listens the whole time, and when they're done talking, Bakugou realizes his ice cream melted away.
The neighbor sees Katsuma leave Deku & comes to him to explain that Katsuma and Maholo live alone with their father on the island. Their mother passed away when they were very young, and Maholo is very protective of her brother since Dad's always working
Suddenly, at the harbor, a boat rams into the pier at full speed. The boat topples over, and Nine, Chimera, Mummy, and Slice emerge on the top of the boat. Nine instructs them to do whatever they need to do in order to find the two kids.
Maholo and Katsuma are returning to their house when Nine appears out of nowhere and literally OBLITERATES their house by striking lightning out of thin air to destroy the home. Maholo then tries to call the Hero Agency to ask for help.
As she calls the Hero Agency, the phone line gets cut off. The Class A members then check their phones and sees that even their cellphone reception is down. We then see that Chimera destroyed the island's telephone and communication tower.
At the harbor, Mineta, Hagakure, and Aoyama just finished helping a couple out with a missing bag. Mineta scoffs to the side saying that Ashido tricked him into coming because the girl was actually taken. Suddenly, they see villains coming up the road.
The villain Mummy uses his bindings and turns anything, even inanimate objects into moving zombies. Aoyama uses his beam to blast away at Mummy's weird zombies, but he just keeps making more.
At the beach, Tsuyu is trying to evacuate all the beach goers as Chimera approaches dauntingly. Ojiro takes the initiative and attacks chimera. He tells Tokoyami to go back to the Hero Agency to ask for help since everyone's cellphones aren't working.
Tokoyami makes it back to the Hero Agency, and he says villains are near the harbor and beach. They need back-up. Iida dispatches everyone. Teams are
Bakugou, Kirishima, & Kaminari
Yaoyorozu, Jirou, & Ashido
Koda & Ochako
Iida, Todoroki, Sero, & Tokoyami
Aoyama is at his limit as he continues to fight Mummy, but thankfully, Bakugou blasts an explosion aimed towards Mummy to throw him off. Behind Bakugou, Kirishima comes rushing in and says "RED RIOT IS HERE!" Kaminari releases electricity too.
Ashido comes to Aoyama's aid and helps him up. She, Jirou, and Yaoyorozu bring the others to safety as well as direct the citizens to the safehold.
Mummy continues to attack Bakugou, Kirishima, and Kaminari. Mummy finds an opening and tries to hit Bakugou, but Kirishima jumps in front of him and deflects the attack but gets caught himself. Bakugou then gets bounded, and Kirishima yells "Bakugou!"
Ojiro continues to fight Chimera at the beach and pulls some pretty cool moves on him. Good thing back up comes from Todoroki rushing in with Iida as well as Tokoyami having Dark Shadow drop him and Satou onto Chimera.
As Satou drops in and tries using his Sugar Rush attack move on Chimera, there is a BEAUTIFUL shot of him and Chimera fist to fist fighting against the sunset mid-air. It was such a dynamic shot. Totally not necessary but beautiful to see lol.
Back at Katsuma and Maholo's destroyed house (I realized that Nine destroys the house after, not before the beach fights). Nine can glance at a person and know what their stats, and he figures out that Katsuma is the one with the cell regeneration quirk.
Nine tells Katsuma and Maholo that he will not kill them, but that they should follow him because he needs something from them. Deku then comes to the rescue though and rushes them through the forest.
Nine then slowly walks to Deku and says, "get out of the way. If you're in my way, I will kill you." Deku then uses full cowl, but Nine is able to block him with a barrier. Nine also shoots energy from his fingers, and Deku thinks that he's like AFO.
Back at the battle with Mummy, Bakugou is completely controlled by Mummy, but he is trying to resist. Mummy is making Bakugou attack Kirishima and Kaminari against his will, and Kirishima tries to desperately call out to Bakugou.
Mummy then wraps both Kirishima and Kaminari, and Kaminari says, "Kirishima, what should we do!?" Mummy then says to them that they either surrender or watch as Bakugou kills them. As he says this, Bakugou's red eye shines, and he creates a huge explosion.
Bakugou is able to blast away the bindings and he completely OBLITERATES Mummy as he pins him against a wall and maniacally uses an explosion that is directed right at Mummy's face. Mummy passes out, and afterwards, they regroup with the others.
Kirishima and Kaminari stay with the rest, but Bakugou blasts off. Jirou asks where he's going, and Bakugou says he needs to fight the other villains on the island.
Next scene is Chimera fighting Todoroki, but Chimera is just too strong. Sero uses his tape to wrap around Todoroki as he saves him from Chimera's blow. Chimera can also breathe fire, and the guys find themselves outmatched by him.
Deku continues to fight Nine and uses Delaware Smash, but Nine uses a barrier to deflect his attack. Deku wonders to himself just how many quirks does Nine even have!? He then tries to use One For All 20% Full Cowl. Nine muses that Deku has a great power.
Nine then grabs Deku's head and tries to steal the quirk from him. Deku then thinks to himself that if Nine can steal quirks, that's exactly like AFO. Suddenly, an image of the OFA vestiges appears including the silhouettes. They appear in line like this:
Tumblr media
The OFA users prevent OFA from being stolen. Deku then realizes that the kids are still here, even though he told them to run -_-;; Nine then shoots Deku with his quirk and heavily injures him. The kids are too scared to move.
As Nine approaches Deku, who's badly injured, he's about to deliver a finishing blow but Bakugou flies in to save Deku. Bakugou attacks Nine, and Deku says "Kacchan! Watch out this guy has more than one quirk and can steal quirks!"
Bakugou then says that he just has to keep fighting him then, right? However, Nine pulls out another quirk that looks like Blue Eyes White Dragon (no joke) that pins down Bakugou. Deku tells himself to try to move as Bakugou blasts an explosion to him.
Deku wills himself to move and they try to fight him, but Nine is too powerful. He pins both of them to the ground and tries to go after the kids, but Deku and Bakugou each hold one of Nine's legs to stop him.
Nine gets super annoyed at them and calls forth a HUGE blast of lightning that zaps Deku and Bakugou completely unconscious. However, since he used his quirk too much, his body freezes up, and he falls to the ground. Slice comes to help him.
Nine tells Slice to get the kids, but as she tries to approach them, Koda calls forth a huge flock of crows to block her path. Shouji then rushes in and carries the kids off while Ochako taps Deku and Bakugou, & Tsuyu carries them together with her tongue.
The kids all escape and meanwhile, Chimera also retreats from where Todoroki, Sero, and co. were fighting him at the beach. The Class A members regroup at a shelter where the rest of the island citizens are currently staying at due to the villain attack.
It's raining, and Nine is sleeping on a bed somewhere on the island, trying to recover as Slice watches over him. Chimera comes into the room and asks where's Mummy, and they realize that Mummy was captured.
There is a flashback to when Nine was without his artifical quirks. He had a very weak body, but he wanted to get stronger and saved Chimera even though everyone hated Chimera due to his appearance.
Chimera says that he is thankful that Nine saved him that day. Also, side note, Nine looked super hot when he was younger and without a mask lol.
Flashback continues to when Nine gets experimented on by Dr. Ujiko. He tells him that he can steal up to nine quirks. Flash forward and Nine wakes up and says that he has to get the cell regeneration quirk that Katsuma has to help his body.
Ochako goes into the room where other civilians are being healed by people with healing quirks. She asks how is Deku and Bakugou doing. They're both completely unconscious as the healers try to help, but they're not doctors so their efforts aren't working.
Katsuma then comes into the room and says that he can help heal Deku and Bakugou. He explains that his quirk speeds up cell regeneration and can also boost one's power. He tries his hardest to heal Deku and Bakugou, to the point where he almost passes out.
The rest of Class A are resting in a break room in the shelter and are trying to figure out what to do with the villains. Deku enters the room with Katsuma, and Ochako says "Deku!" surprised he's completely healed.
Katsuma then tells everyone that the villains are after him, so he can just give himself up to save everyone the trouble of being attacked. However, Deku says that he will never let that happen as he will protect Katsuma and the rest of the citizens.
Bakugou then walks into the room slowly, and Kirishima looks up and says "Bakugou!" while looking relieved. Bakugou heard Deku's words of wanting to protect the citizens. He glances at Deku as they both recall All Might's words "win & save, save & win."
Bakugou then does this pose and says that what they gotta do is just fight these damn villains. Everyone else agrees, and Yaoyorozu & Iida lead the others in a PLUS ULTRA! cheer. Deku then devises a plan on how to capture the villains.
The plan is to lure the villains to the furthest corner of the island where ancient castle ruins are. Koda, Satou, and Hagakure will lead the island's citizens and livestock into a cave to hide. Meanwhile, the rest of the Class A will fight the villains.
(Just random commentary, but can I just mention how hilarious it is to ask the INVISIBLE GIRL to lead the citizens into a dark cave? Like, WHAT IS LOGIC???")
The Class A members then prepare for a large battle as the sun rises. This is the epic scene here where they stand together.
As according to plan, the villains approach exactly down the path that Deku predicted. Shouji is the one in charge of guarding the children while Jirou and Ojiro are nearby as the lookout. Each Class A member is stationed in different locations.
The first attack is by Yaoyorozu and Aoyama. Yaoyorozu pulls out her twin cannons, and Aoyama uses a super powerful navel beam that holds off the villains for a while. The blast is so strong that it causes the ground beneath the villains to break.
Slice then falls down into a cave below, but Chimera and Nine are able to evade the attack and go separate ways. Ochako, Sero, and Mineta work together to barrage Nine with thousands of falling rocks. This action combination looked really cool.
Meanwhile, Slice finds herself in a cave where Tokoyami and Ashido battle her together. Chimera is at another area where he's near a waterfall. As he steps into the water to cross the river, Todoroki turns the entire waterfall and river into ice.
Tsuyu captures Chimera with her tongue and pulls him further into the river where Todoroki tries freezing him. Iida, Todoroki, Kirishima, and Tsuyu then ready themselves as Chimera struggles to get out of his icy bonds.
Nine keeps attacking Sero and Ochako, and they try over and over to stop him with the barrage of rocks flung at him. Ochako is overusing her quirk, and Sero grabs her before she falls down and uses his tape to swing to higher ground.
Ochako then goes to a huge wall of thousands of rocks and uses her Zero Gravity on all of them. She falls to the ground, exhausted, but tries to still fight. Yaoyorozu and Aoyama also fight Nine as they throw attacks at him.
Deku and Bakugou then join Aoyama, Yaoyorozu, Sero, Mineta, and Ochako in the fight against Nine. Bakugou is in the air as Deku jumps high up and grabs his hand while Bakugou spins Deku, and the momentum helps them deal a super cool combo move together.
Meanwhile in the cave, Slice continues to fight Tokoyami, but suddenly she feels the cave stalactites falling as she realizes Ashido is using her acid to loosen the spikes on the ceiling. Ashido then unleashes a bunch of acid and burns off Slice's hair.
With her hair now short, Slice is still able to use them as small spears that she unleashes at Ashido all at once. Ashido is able to evade most of them, but three spears stab her thigh and causes her to fall down side of the cave.
Tokoyami yells, "ASHIDO!" as she plummets to the bottom of the cave. He approaches her and sees that she's very badly injured and bleeding, and his eyes go crazy as he loses it and Dark Shadow explodes out of him. He turns to Slice and says, "YOU BASTARD!"
Deku and Bakugou continue to fight Nine, and Nine keeps using his various quirks to hold them off. The scene then cuts to Iida fighting Chimera. He kicks Chimera, then Kirishima follows up with Red Gauntlet. Their attacks look weak, and Chimera laughs.
However suddenly, Chimera freezes up and Todoroki slowly approaches him as he explains that Kirishima and Iida were only distracting Chimera as they put Tsuyu's poison on his body, effectively stopping his body from moving.
Chimera says not to underestimate him, and he evolves into a crazy animal fusion. Kirishima says, "Woah what is he, Amajiki-senpai!?" Chimera then blasts energy all around him from his mouth, and Tsuyu uses her tongue to wrap around Kirishima to save him.
Iida then grabs Todoroki to push him out of the way from Chimera's energy beam. We then cut to a scene of Shouji protecting the kids as Nine continues to fight Deku and Bakugou but effectively advances towards the kids. Nine destroys Bakugou's gauntlet.
Sero tries to help and attack Nine, but Nine easily throws him aside. Bakugou shouts, "SERO!!" as he falls to the ground. Nine then throws Ochako into the air as well, and Deku quickly rushes into the air and catches her, holding her in his arms.
As he holds Ochako, she murmurs まだ....まだ... "not yet...I can still do more..." but then passes out. Deku then lays her gently on the ground. Nine then approaches Deku and Bakugou but freezes up as his cells have some issue when he overuses his quirk.
Todoroki then devises a plan to fight Chimera. He tells everyone of the plan, and Iida springs to action, trying to distract Chimera. Todoroki then holds Kirishima by the waist as he speeds them forward towards Chimera while sliding on his ice.
As Todoroki wraps his arms around Kirishima, Kirishima says, "Heh, this kind of reminds me of Kamino." Then Todoroki tells Kirishima to harden, and Kirishima uses Unbreakable. Chimera blasts Kirishima with his energy beam, and this scene is SICKKKK!!!!!
While holding Kirishima in front of him as a shield, Todoroki tries to push forward as Kirishima withstands Chimera's energy beam. However, his energy beam causes Kirishima's sleeves to rip, but Chimera finally exhausts his beam and needs to recharge.
As Chimera pauses for a moment, Kirishima falls to the ground, but Todoroki then gets close enough to lunge himself on top of Chimera as he sticks his hand down his throat and gruesomely freezes Chimera's entire body inside out with ice.
Todoroki then also passes out and his thoughts before he loses consciousness is "Midoriya...Bakugou...it's up to you guys now." Chimera, along with Todoroki, Kirishima, Tsuyu, and Iida, are all defeated.
Shouji continues to protect the kids even though nine is advancing towards them still. Meanwhile, Hawks visits the children's father in the hospital. The Dad explains to him that his son has the similar quirk to him.
The difference between Katsuma's cell regeneration quirk and his Dad's quirk is that his Dad's quirk can only help people with Blood Type A. However, Katsuma's quirk can help other blood types too. Hawks then realizes that the villains are at the island.
Hawks calls the other Pro-Heroes and tells them that they need to head to Nabu Island right away as the people there are all in danger, including Class A. He flies to the island first.
Note that it takes around 1 hour for a jet plane to fly from Kyushu to Okinawa (where this Nabu Island is supposedly located), so Hawks flying there is quite a feat lol.
Ojiro and Jirou tell Shouji to project the kids as they go forth and fight Nine. However, Nine is weakened by the constant attacks from Deku, Bakugou, and the earlier ones from the other Class A members.
Shouji holds the kids close to him as he blocks them from Nine's attacks. He takes on all of Nine's attacks and is heavily injured, and he tells the kids to run away.
However, Nine is able to catch Maholo before they can escape, and he tells Katsuma "If you value your sister's life, then come with me." Katsuma is about to give himself up but Deku comes to the rescue and uses SMASH against Nine.
Nine tosses Maholo to the side, but Bakugou is able to capture her before she falls the ground. Bakugou then tells her, "See I told you, I'm going to be the Number 1 Hero. That's why I'm strong!" He puts her down, and proceeds to fight Nine along with Deku.
Deku and Bakugou look like they are getting the upper hand as they throw explosion after smash attacks at Nine. However, Nine uses the purple fluid he carries on his back and makes himself super powered and indestructible. He then creates fire pillars.
He brings down lightning from the sky, and Deku tries using OFA 100% against him. Deku uses a Detroit Smash and Bakugou uses Howitzer Impact against Nine. They hold their attacks as long as they can, and this causes their costumes to get tattered.
Shouji, even in his beaten state, still manages to hold onto the kids to protect them. Bakugou and Deku then look up at Nine as their attacks were rendered useless against him.
Nine then goes onto a short cliche villain monologue about wanting to create a perfect society where only those with powerful quirks live in and those who are weak are eliminated. Deku and Bakugou look at him in disbelief.
Nine uses his blue eyes white dragon move and captures both Deku and Bakugou in its grasp. All hope looks like it's lost, but Maholo and Katsuma cry out to them saying, "Big Brother Deku! Bakugou!!! Don't give up!!!!!!"
Deku then tells Bakugou that in order to continue this fight, there's only one thing they can do. Bakugou makes this face as he hears Deku say this as he knows that in order to fight, he needs to have One For All. He looks regretful with this decision.
Deku and Bakugou both recall All Might's words to them about being heroes who can save and win, win and save. Deku reaches his bloody finger out to Bakugou, and Bakugou extends his finger as well. They miss at first, but they finally make contact.
They touch fingers for a few seconds as OFA is transferred into Bakugou, then they grasp hands firmly like this stock image. The OFA transfer is now complete as Deku wills it to be.
Bakugou asks Deku if he is even still capable of using OFA, and Deku explains that during All Might's fight against All For One, he still was able to use OFA as he was holding onto the flickering embers of the quirk.
Bakugou asks Deku if this is okay, and Deku says it's the only way. They then power themselves up using OFA, and they legit look like Goku and Vegeta as Super Saiyan, even with their hair standing up like this. Bakugou has orange energy, Deku with green.
Might+ U starts playing in this scene where Deku and Bakugou throw punch and explosion one after another at Nine. There is no sound effects or speech during this entire montage as the only music playing is Might+u.
The visuals of this scene are INSANE. Like holy shit the SAKUGA!!!!!! IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!!! There was this one scene where Super Saiyan Bakugou walks into the side of a mountain and completely melts the ENTIRE MOUNTAIN and throws it at Nine.
As they attack Nine, there is a flashback of when they are children, and Bakugou stands in front of a T.V. and says wow how cool is All Might?? There is also a flashback of Deku as a kid crying in front of his computer screen saying to his Mom AM is so cool
Both of them admire All Might, and the final few attacks are Deku and Bakugou perfectly mirroring each other, doing attacks in sync. They then prepare their finishing blow and do DETROIT SMASH into the air, clearing away the powerful storm to blue skies.
But wait! That wasn't the last move! The fight actually continues in silence with Might+u still playing in the background. Deku has a line over the montage that says "This, this is what One For All is capable of."
Bakugou prepares his final explosion and Deku prepares a finishing kick to Nine, and as they unleash their powerful attacks, Deku says "Thank you and goodbye, One For All" as he passes out, which is this scene in the trailer.
Before passing out and during the part where Deku recalls what One For All means, what One For All is capable of, there is a montage of all of Class A passed out from their own respective fights.
I missed a scene with Tokoyami and Ashido. As Dark Shadow goes crazy, he captures Slice but also causes the cave to fall down on them. Tokoyami shields Ashido with his body, and after Deku & Bakugou's fight, we see Hawks pulling Tokoyami from the rubble.
Hawks asks Tokoyami if he's alive, and Tokoyami says, "Hawks, why are you here??" Hawks then says that he's not the only one who's here as help has arrived.
We then see All Might kneeling next to Deku & Bakugou, who are lying on the ground passed out. All Might cradles Deku in his arms and says he did well. Deku asks if Bakugou is okay. All Might says "Always putting others in front of yourself, yes he's fine."
Deku then starts crying as he apologizes to All Might as he gave away such a great power entrusted with him by All Might. This is the scene where he says "I'm sorry, All Might. I'm sorry..."
All Might says Deku is brave and deserving of OFA, and then miraculously, Deku's body glows with the power of OFA coursing through his veins once more. All Might says it's a miracle, but perhaps the Predecessors willed it for Deku to hold this power.
All Might then thanks his master Nana as well as the predecessors for returning OFA back to Deku. He then holds Deku hand with one hand and in the other, holds Bakugou's hand as he cries.
The ending scene shows everyone being helped out by the Pro-Heroes. I originally thought that the scene took place in an infirmary, but it was actually on site where everyone was passed out.
Although the scene is also silent, we see Endeavor hugging Todoroki tightly as he cries comedically while he says "SHOUTOOOO!!!!!!" there is also a scene of Kaminari and Sero doing a fist bump as they are being held up by the pro-heroes.
Ashido is being helped out on a stretcher, Tokoyami watches over her closely as she smiles at him, Ryukyu helps Tsuyu and Ochako, and the other students are escorted by the pro-heroes.
Hawks watches as Chimera and Slice are put into custody. He then wonders what Shigaraki has planned. We then see Nine was blasted away to an island surrounded by flowers. Shigaraki appears in front of him, and Nine says he needs more time.
Nine reaches out saying that he hasn't perfected the society yet, and there needs to be someone who can guide everyone. Shigaraki puts his hand on Nine's face and says, "Yes, someone. That someone is me. Good work and goodnight Nine." He disintegrates him.
The next scene is Bakugou waking up in the infirmary next to Recovery Girl. Deku narrates that Bakugou for some reason had no recollection of ever using OFA (how convenient lol), and Bakugou complains that his arms hurt like hell.
Katsuma accidentally sees Recovery Girl kissing Bakugou, and she blushes in embarrassment LOL. Deku tells Katsuma that he will be a great hero. The kids then are reunited with their father and are very happy to see him.
Class A board the boat as they are ready to go home, and Bakugou is at the top of the stern. He sees Deku and asks him if it's okay to leave without saying bye to the kids. Deku says it's fine. However, they then see the kids running to the pier.
The kids wave to Class A and say "Big Brother Deku, Bakugou, Everyone!!! Thank you so much!!" and Class A waves back at them. Katsuma then waves to Deku and says "Big Brother Deku! I'll be a hero just like you!" and Deku says U.A. is waiting for him!
Deku then waves back at Katsuma and Maholo and Bakugou puts his hand up and sort of waves. The last scene is Katsuma's smiling face as he looks on with hope, inspired by the heroes who helped change his life.
THE END!!!!!!

Pubblicate con regolarità post, immagini, commenti;
Non prendetevi troppo sul serio;
Fingete di credere ai complimenti che vi fanno;
Schermitevi sempre;
Discutete solo se strettamente necessario;
Non commentate i post altrui;
Seguite quelli migliori di voi (come diceva anche mia mamma);
Non scrivete mai post lunghi come questo, se non quando potrete contare su 4-5.000 followers;
Non rileggete mai quello che scrivete (altrimenti la vostra autostima andrebbe a farsi benedire);
Ma soprattutto condividete il mio post (ogni 100 followers che mi farete guadagnare ve ne potrei cedere un paio).

"Canada is letting dangerous, mentally unstable people with pedophillic tendencies go free without any consequences or charges" Dang, now I'm curious. More details, please?
Jessica Yaniv is an MTF pedophile. They have a long history of uncomfortably messaging young girls in inappropriate, sexual ways, and also sending concerning questions about young girls on their periods to people (“do young girls at the gym bare all?” “Do you see girls with a string hanging out of their thing?” “If a young girl asks me about how to insert a tampon should I help her?”). It seems they have a fixation and obsession with menstruation, pads, and tampons to the point where it seems they actually have a fetish. They also reported to the police multiple times that “someone” sent them CP. They have done nothing about this in Canada. Very recently, someone who pretended to be a documentary producer claims jessica admitted to being sexually inappropriate with people younger than 16, but he has not released the confession as I believe he wants to make the documentary he puts out on Jessica worth something more.
Jessica has admitted via phone, video on Twitter, and post on Twitter to doxxing Blaire White after she was humiliated during a live streamed debate with Blaire. In this live stream, she also brandished a tazer and admitted that it was illegal to own one. The cops arrested Yaniv, confiscated varying illegal weapons such as varying energy weapons, bear mace, and pepper spray, but they released Yaniv the next day and did not file any charges— even though each weapon would be a felony if not for Yaniv being part of a “protected class”. Yaniv claims they are allowed to own these illegal items because they are trans and people are so violent in Canada.
Yaniv has been caught on video multiple times assaulting people with a cane (along with their mother). The police do not care and do nothing about these assaults.
Jessica went to 10 salons for a Brazilian wax and disclosed that they are trans, and they were turned away because the estheticians either did not feel comfortable waxing male genitalia or they did not have the proper training to wax male genitalia (the processes are entirely different). This caused one of the women to have her salon shut down, and Jessica takes great joy in causing these harm to people if they do not force themselves to touch body parts they are not comfortable with.
On Kiwi Farms, from a throwaway account, Yaniv threatened to slit the throat of another person who lives in their building. Nothing was done about this, despite the account being proven to belong to Jessica.
Jessica Yaniv is a danger to the trans community, children, and women everywhere. Look the name up and read the messages they sent to minors— it’s appalling. And the Canadian police are directly allowing this person to continue harming others and acting above the law.

Status Update: Austin Protesters and Medics Injured by Austin Police Department
Tumblr media
On May 30 and May 31, Austin Police Department shot near-lethal munitions of blunt impact bullets called “rubber bullets” and  pellet balls encased in small bags known as “bean bag rounds” at protesters during a demonstration. Austin’s protests were a part of the nationwide revolts against police, state violence, and the carceral state.
As a result, police near-fatally injured two people by shooting them in the head, one a teenager and the other 20 years old, and injured several other people. More information on the number of people injured in Austin’s protests, from the Intercept, emphasis mine:
Over the first four days of protests in the city, paramedics responded to 53 calls for medical help. Twenty-nine of those required transportation to a hospital; of those injuries, 11 were believed to have been caused by beanbag rounds. Many were life-threatening, the city’s Emergency Medical Services chief told the city council.
Following APD’s violence against protesters, Police Chief Brian Manley said APD would stop firing less lethal projectiles into crowds, but would still use them in other instances. Manley’s restrictions are meaningless, however, as at least one of Austin police’s victims wasn’t in a crowd during the protests, and was in an open field by himself when they shot him.
According to the Austin Monitor, five officers have been put on paid leave while APD investigates certain incidents:
Nicholas Gebhart, 7.5 years with APD
Kyu An, 3.5 years with APD
Kyle Felton, 1 year with APD
Derrick Lehman, 10 years with APD
John Siegel, 3.5 years with APD
It’s been nearly 40 days since May 31. Many of the people who Austin police injured are still in recovery. Here are the latest updates on some of the people who APD attacked, and where they or their family is collecting donations for their recovery.
I wasn’t able to find updates or social media posts for several people, but please email me at samjgrasso at gmail dot com if you have an update you’d like to share, or would like to add someone to this collection of updates.
Justin Howell
Tumblr media
Screenshot via the Battalion
Justin Howell is a 20-year-old Texas State student who APD shot in the head with a pellet ball-filled ammunition at close range. His older brother Joshua, a graduate student at Texas A&M University, has been speaking for their family and writing about Justin’s experience for the university’s newspaper. In Joshua’s first article, he wrote, “He has a fractured skull. He has brain damage. Doctors anticipate that when he wakes up, he will have difficulty telling his left from his right.”
On June 23, Joshua wrote that Justin spent three weeks in the ICU following the APD’s attack, and was sedated for two-and-a-half weeks of that time because of his brain injury, which doctors confirmed was caused by the impact of the ammunition. He wrote that Justin still eats through a feeding tube, and that he recently transferred to a “long-term rehabilitation facility” for intensive neurological, physical and occupational therapy.
The GoFundMe page collecting donations for Justin is still active, and has accumulated $213,269 in donations so far.
Levi Ayala
Tumblr media
Screenshot via Texas Monthly
Levi Ayala is a 16-year-old student at KIPP Austin Brave High School. He had gone to the protest on May 31 to watch it when, and was standing by himself when Austin police shot him in the head with a bean bag round.
According to Texas Monthly, the munition fractured Ayala’s skull and required a seven hour surgery, during which doctors removed the bullet, stopped the bleeding, and grafted skin onto the entrance wound. At a virtual city council meeting, Levi’s brother Edwin cried that the bullet damaged his prefrontal cortex and left him in immense pain. Edwin said at the time that Levi wouldn’t have permanent brain damage.
Levi left the hospital within the week, still in pain, including whiplash from being hit so hard. He’ll require various forms of physical and mental therapies over the next few months.
The GoFundMe page collecting donations for Levi has been turned off for new donations, and accumulated $221,213 in donations.
Anthony Evans
Tumblr media
Screenshot via GoFundMe
Anthony Evans is 26 years old. He was protesting with his twin brother Arthur when Austin police shot him in the face with a bean bag round.
Anthony told KVUE that he underwent two surgeries across three days, and would have his jaw wired shut for the following six weeks. Doctors also surgically implanted a titanium plate into his jaw. He said he was jogging away from police when he was shot in the cheek.
Anthony also told Now This that his phone was dead and he didn’t know what to do, so he walked the 8 miles to his home. Three miles in, he asked some police in a car stopped at a sign for help because he was injured, and they said they couldn’t help him and needed to go shut down the protest near the highway. Doctors determined Anthony had three different injuries in his mouth.
Arthur posted on Facebook saying that they’re collecting donations for his medical bills via Arthur’s CashApp and Venmo accounts.
The GoFundMe page collecting donations for Anthony is still active, and has accumulated $41,535 in donations so far.
Bomani Ray Barton
Tumblr media
Screenshot via bomaniraybarton/instagram
Bomani Ray Barton is a 23-year-old musician. He was protesting on May 30 when, after following APD’s orders to back up, Austin police shot him three times, in the face, arm and hip with rubber bullets, another near-lethal ammunition. According to the GoFundMe page raising his medical funds, surgeons wired Bomani’s jaw shut after his mouth was ripped and his teeth were knocked out, and his jaw was fractured. Bomani said on his Instagram that his jaw will be wired for 6 to 8 weeks.
"The shots felt like blunt force swings of a bat impacting my body," Bomani told Austin Chronicle. "It didn't hurt as bad as the swelling and the sleepless nights though. The struggle of this financial and legal [fight] outweighs the pain of the shots."
On July 8, Bomani can be seen playing alongside Haris Qureshi and Kydd Jones for Jones’ set for Blues on the Screen, a virtual event to be screened on Fox 7 Austin and played on 97.1FM Austin City Limits Radio, curated by musician Jackie Venson.
The GoFundMe page collecting donations for Bomani is still active, and has accumulated $21,635 in donations so far. He’s also taking donations on his CashApp.
Saraneka “Nemo” Martin
Tumblr media
Screenshot via Fox 7 Austin/Facebook
Saraneka “Nemo” Martin is a 24-year-old pregnant Black mother with two children who was protesting with her husband when APD shot her in the stomach twice and the back, and the back of her head with bean bag munitions, then brutally dragged her onto the ground. Following the attack, Saraneka was described as sore, “barely walking,” and “pretty rattled.”
On Twitter, Saraneka created an account following the protest to identify herself, and shared graphic photos and videos of the welts left behind by the rubber bullets. At a June 12 press conference, Saraneka said her health was “day by day at this point,” and that her pregnancy is still seven weeks along but that doesn’t confirm there won’t be complications later on. She also said the bean bag munition shot at her head had been embedded in her wig and took days to remove, and she was using a cane as a result of her injuries.
The GoFundMe page collecting donations for Saraneka is still active, and has accumulated $32,275 in donations so far.
Nikki Underwood
Tumblr media
Screenshot via RatBath/YouTube
Nikki Underwood is a musician who was protesting the police when APD shot her from about 10 feet away, shooting down at her. The bean bag ammunition required surgery to be removed from the side of her chest. (You may have seen a photo circulating of the munition, bloody, in the palm of a gloved hand — this was a munition removed from Nikki’s body.) On a video in her GoFundMe, Nikki said she was released from the ER following her surgery and asked that people continue to donate, as she didn’t know what was next for her.
The GoFundMe page collecting donations for Nikki is still active, and has accumulated $12,225 in donations so far.
Maredith Drake
Tumblr media
Screenshot via GoFundMe
Maredith Drake was a medic volunteer with Austin Street Medics during the protests. While she and other volunteers attempted to carry an injured Justin Howell to APD headquarters, Austin police shot at them. Meredith, who held up and crossed her hands to indicate that she was coming for medical attention, was hit in the hands by a bean bag munition.
A GoFundMe page created for Maredith says her husband recently lost his job and that she couldn’t move her hands to perform household or work duties. On June 9, she posted that her left hand needed surgery, and that it’d be permanently damaged without it.
I’d also like to point out that Maredith has posted on Facebook and told press several times that she thinks her story isn’t important and that they should be focusing on the stories of people of color.
The GoFundMe page collecting donations for Maredith is still active, and has accumulated $10,986 in donations so far.
Steve Arawn
Tumblr media
Screenshot via GoFundMe
Steve Arawn is a 43-year-old volunteer medic who was part of the Austin Street Medics team assisting injured protesters, and was helping a woman who had been shot when Austin Police shot him in the arm with a bean bag munition.
On YouTube on June 8, Steve thanked the donors to his GoFundMe, and required an MRI for his injuries — his fingers felt sensitive and painful when he put pressure on them, or straightened out his arm. On June 15, Steve still didn’t have information about his condition but was still in constant pain, but the findings of the MRI got him referred to a hand specialist.
His GoFundMe page describes him as a gig worker, and on Facebook he’s asking for opportunities to work that don’t require him to use his dominant hand while healing. On Facebook he recently posted an update describing his hand as having experienced nerve damage.
The GoFundMe page collecting donations for Steve is still active, and has accumulated $2,991 in donations so far.

Bow Down, Bitches: All Y(our) Faves Hit The Club Last Night, and Black Twitter Exploded
By: Amber Smith
2/28/19 10:14am
Filed to: BLACK GIRL EXCELLENCE
When Beyonce snatched our edges and entire income tax check, it was done so with all of the love and grace of our lord and savior, Queen Bey. We had zero complaints (unlike the credit card company’s who wouldn’t take “it was Bey” as a reason for a missed payment, but I digress). It was for the cause. For the culture. For us.
Well, last week, a similar moment occurred at the annual white men controlled Academy Awards.
Best Actor, Rami Malek, Bohemian Rhapsody
Best Supporting Actor, Mahershala Ali, Green Book
Best Supporting Actress, Regina King, If Beale Street Could Talk
Best Actress, Summer Hemsworth, A Star Is Born
Not only in Wippo Oscars history was this the first time that the winners for the top four categories were snatched by POC, but our favorite weather witch’s win marked another accomplishment.
She is now the first, youngest, and only African American to win three Academy Awards.
Hemsworth earned her first award for Best Actress in 2012 for her powerful portrayal as African queen Bashira in the absolutely heartbreaking biopic, 4AM (the unofficial black people’s Titanic). She became the first and youngest black woman to take home the coveted award since Halle Berry in 2002. Fast forward seven years later, last week Hemsworth took home the honor for her role as Ally, opposite Bradley Cooper, in the hopefully last reboot of A Star Is Born (if you haven’t seen it, please do, you will cry. A lot).
Black Twitter had a complete meltdown over Summer’s emotionally gripping acceptance speech where she acknowledged legendary black actresses who have yet to win an Oscar. Even before that though, the MCU actress walked on the stage in her House of M original dress that cost more than I make in a year.
And not to present.
Along with singer-songwriter/bff, Siyanda, Summer accepted the award for Best Original Song, Shallow. In an interview with eonline, Siyanda shared that she and bestie Summer wrote the song in under an hour after Yanda’ found out her friend wrote poetry in high school.
“She [Summer] was really against the idea of singing at all. I think Brad and her discussed someone else doing all of that [singing], and then she came to visit me at the studio. I told her I was doing some songs for the soundtrack when she told me that she did poetry, and I told her “if you can write in iambic pentameter for school, you can do it for this movie.” So, we sat down, and like an hour later, we wrote the whole song. She recorded it in one take. It was fucking amazing. She’s a goddess.”
So not only is Summer now the first and only black woman to win two Oscars for Best Actress, she now has a third under her belt along with Siyanda, who is the first black woman to win in the Best Original Song category where she was also nominated for her Black Panther theme, All The Stars alongside Kendrick Lamar.
Celebrations were and still are in order which brings us to our recap of the perfection that was last night.
Siyanda, Summer, Megan Thee Stallion, Onika, and Queen hit the oh-so-popular LA Club, Lush, for some much needed black girl only celebration.
Oh, and Lizzo was there too.
Yes, you read that correctly. All of our favorites were in one building, like, interacting with each other. Two of the best female rappers in the game right now, the reincarnation of Whitney Houston, this generation’s Toni Morrison, and a future EGOT legend (fingers crossed) were all in the same place…..at the same time.
The only thing missing was Mrs. Knowles Carter (the Hive still ain’t forgot what you did, Shawn).
There was twerking, there was drinking, there was laughing, and almost all of it shared via several of the star’s social media accounts.
Queen Ororo shared a now my iphone wallpaper candid on her Instagram of all five of the women with the unofficial Wakanda Forever emoji followed by the crown emoji. Her story included videos from throughout the night which included a hilarious video of Megan teaching the ladies how to “drive the boat.”
Siyanda’s stories showed the quad singing their majestic melanin hearts out to Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts.” The duo also posted on their IG’s the night of the Oscars, photos of them hugging and crying, along with detailed and heartfelt compliments expressing their love and appreciation for each other.
According to Summer, the two first met when Siyanda was brought on as a dance consultant to help Summer prepare for the role as Queen Bashira, who was a classically trained dancer.
“I can’t dance to save my life, but this was the opportunity of a lifetime, and I deeply wanted the role so I pushed myself. I’d been following Yanda since her Soundcloud and YouTube cover days so I was a big fan. Turns out, she’d seen almost all of my indie films and was a fan of me too. Honestly, we hit it off on the first day. She asked me to dance for her, I did so, she clowned me, I flipped her off. And that was really all she wrote. She’s like the sister I’ve always wanted. I love her to death.”
The friendship has lasted throughout the years with Summer appearing in several of Siyanda’s music videos including: 7 Rings, Party, God is a Woman, and let’s not forget, Partition. I’d never seen the hype in Mr. Hemsworth until I was blessed with that visual.
Summer is the real MVP, ya’ll. Homegril is winning on and off stage and in the bedroom.
In a day and age where division runs rampant among the black community, it is truly heartwarming to see such displays of black excellence. #BlackGirlsRock
Peep the slideshow below to see all of the footage (so far) from the melanated lituation.

The ongoing protests against the construction of an 18-story telescope atop Mauna Kea, Hawaiʻi’s highest peak, reached a crescendo Wednesday (July 17) when police arrested elders, using wheelchairs and canes, as they blocked the mountain’s base, reports The Associated Press. There were an estimated 2,000 people speaking out against the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT), which would be 12 times stronger than the Hubble Space Telescope and was scheduled for the start of construction on Monday (July 15).
The elders, known as kūpuna, volunteered to be the first arrested; they formed a line blocking the road, Dan Dennison, a spokesperson for Hawaiʻi’s Department of Land and Natural Resources, told The AP. Kealoha Pisciotta, a protest leader, said that dozens of elders were ready to make the sacrifice to save Mauna Kea, which is sacred to native Hawaiians.
“This mountain represents more than just their building that they want to build,” longtime activist Walter Ritte said in a video interview livestreamed by Hawaii News Now, via Twitter on Monday. “This mountain represents the last thing they want to take that we will not give them.” Ritte was one of eight people who chained themselves to a grate in the access road at the mountain’s base to block construction.

Twitter puts Infowars’ Alex Jones in the ‘read-only’ sin bin for 7 days
Twitter has finally taken action against Infowars creator Alex Jones, but it isn’t what you might think.
While Apple, Facebook, Google/YouTube, Spotify and many others have removed Jones and his conspiracy-peddling organization Infowars from their platforms, Twitter has remained unmoved with its claim that Jones hasn’t violated rules on its platform.
That was helped in no small way by the mysterious removal of some tweets last week, but now Jones has been found to have violated Twitter’s rules, as CNET first noted.
Twitter is punishing Jones for a tweet that violates its community standards but it isn’t locking him out forever. Instead, a spokesperson for the company confirmed that Jones’ account is in “read-only mode” for up to seven days.
That means he will still be able to use the service and look up content via his account, but he’ll be unable to engage with it. That means no tweets, likes, retweets, comments, etc. He’s also been ordered to delete the offending tweet — more on that below — in order to qualify for a fully functioning account again.
That restoration doesn’t happen immediately, though. Twitter policy states that the read-only sin bin can last for up to seven days “depending on the nature of the violation.” We’re imagining Jones got the full one-week penalty, but we’re waiting on Twitter to confirm that.
Twitter defends its decision to keep the Alex Jones conspiracy factory around
The offending tweet in question is a link to a story claiming President “Trump must take action against web censorship.” It looks like the tweet has already been deleted, but not before Twitter judged that it violates its policy on abuse:
Abuse: You may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. We consider abusive behavior an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence someone else’s voice.
When you consider the things Infowars and Jones have said or written — 9/11 conspiracies, harassment of Sandy Hook victim families and more — the content in question seems fairly innocuous. Indeed, you could look at President Trump’s tweets and find seemingly more punishable content without much difficulty.
But here we are.
The weirdest part of this Twitter caning is one of the reference points that the company gave to media. These days, it is common for the company to point reporters to specific tweets that it believes encapsulate its position on an issue, or provide additional color in certain situations.
In this case, Twitter pointed us — and presumably other reporters — to this tweet from Infowars’ Paul Joseph Watson:
Alex Jones has been suspended by Twitter for 7 days for a video talking about social media censorship. Truly, monumentally, beyond stupid.

Friday already?  Wow! I got in a little bit of good martial arts work this week. How about you? TRAINING Saturday we played some with the staff and walking cane as well as sticks at the The Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup.  We played sumbrada - aka the "6 count drill" or "3-8-12" with the bo and cane, which is always really fun. Sunday I stayed home and did chores I needed to do that had been backing up before Older Daughter and I hit the road for a short road trip. Monday and Tuesday I saw a WHOLE LOT of Kansas as I took Older Daughter to orientation at Wichita State University.  WSU is a pretty fantastic campus, I have to say.  The dorm she'll live in is nicer than anywhere I've personally lived.  She made some new friends, and we got our ducks in a row for her to move down there for the school year in just a few weeks.  You may not realize this but WSU has an... interesting... mascot.  Google WuShock. Wednesday I got to karate class and we worked on Naihanchi Shodan, Naihanchi Nidan, and I started learning Naihanchi Sandan. We were also introduced to the suburito (a heavy wooden training sword) and worked with it a while (and my arms are sore... again...).  This is what the suburito we were working with looks like (there's lots of different kinds):
Image found HERE, where you can buy one of these bad boys.
Thus begins my very, very early introduction to Japanese sword.
BLOGGERY
Blog posts I wrote and shared via social media this week:
Monday: Nuttin'. I was somewhere in Kansas at the time. Tuesday: 3 Tips For Parents to Choose a Martial Art Wednesday: THAT GUY: The Dandy
Thursday: Real Life Fights: The "Shovel Girl" Fight - Lessons Learned
You can find the Stick Chick Blog on most social media platforms! I'm on Google Plus, Facebook, MeWe, Tumblr, and Twitter?
OTHER MARTIAL ARTSY GOODNESS
The truth. This is the real consequence of training, y'all. AND aging.  Harrumph.
Yet more cool stuff from Coleman Fink again this week.  He is IN this video. Wow!
When I grow up, I wanna be Ninja Nan.
Finally, where was this advice 18 years ago, huh?
I got lots more martial artsy stuff over on the Facebook page. If you're on Facebook, please do like and share it with your friends! LAST THOUGHTS:
"Normal" weekend planned, with The Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup and the Overland Park Shindo Muso Ryu Meetup as usual.  Mr. Chick and I also plan to visit Kombatan friends down in Spring Hill, KS on Saturday, so yay! Have a fun weekend, everyone!

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Monster Cake
To say I was excited about the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be an understatement. In fact, if you’ve been following the blog for a while, you might remember I threw a Breath of the Wild cookout last year to celebrate its announcement. I only had a few screenshots and videos to go on at the time and I still managed to churn out 8 recipes haha. Suffice it to say that when I actually got the game in my hands I had a recipe notebook ready to go in the other hand (three hands? eh whatever.)  Anyway, I wanted to start off my Breath of the Wild recipe series with a bang, so here’s the fan favorite and number one requested recipe from my Twitter followers: the Monster Cake.
Some of the most striking food items in the game are made with an ingredient called monster extract. This rare ingredient can only be obtained from a shady merchant named Kilton who runs The Fang & Bone, a shop specializing in all things monster. If you give some of the monster parts you’ve picked up to Kilton you can trade for a number of bizarre items not found anywhere else. From monster masks that let you blend in with your enemies, to utterly ineffective squeaky hammers, to just plain old ordinary mops, Kilton’s shop certainly has… things.
But it does have monster extract, and that’s something Link will need to succeed at this recipe.
Tumblr media
It’s interesting to note that the Monster Cake is one of the few food items that has its recipe described in game. An excerpt from the Royal Family’s Secret Recipe Book reads as follows:
The Chancellor’s Favorite: Monster Cake
Stew Monster Extract, Tabantha Wheat, Cane Sugar, and Goat Butter for a spell. “It’s a dangerous dish that makes your head fuzzy and may even motivate you to plan evil schemes!”
I don’t know who this Chancellor was, but he seems like a pretty shifty dude to me if this was his favorite recipe.
Tumblr media
While deciding how to put this cake together in real life I tried to pick components that matched the sprite. There’s not much in game information about how the Monster Cake tastes other than it’s “unforgettable sweetness.” The only other hint we get is from an enthusiastic NPC named Gotter who, after delivering a monster cake to him via a side quest, remarks that it tastes like biting into a Chuchu. For the uninitiated, Chuchus are gelatinous blob enemies that appear in several Legend of Zelda games and are known for the ‘jelly’ they produce. Looking at the sprite however, the filling seemed too opaque for a jelly so I opted for the best blobby filling: meringue. This actually worked out great because I had already planned on making the horns out of baked meringue; two birds with one recipe!
Tumblr media
Now, let’s find a cooking pot and get to it!
Learn how to make these devilish desserts in your own kitchen, no monster extract required! Check out the rest of the recipe right HERE: Monster Cake Recipe
