The 35th edition of #FIMPAH (Festival International de Mode, de Photographie et d’Accessoires d’Hyères) was supposed to be held -as always- at the end of April at the #VillaNoailles and elsewhere in #Hyères. Unfortunately, due to the #corona #virus #outbreak, the #festival is now delayed until October after the Paris Fashion Week shows. If life is more or less back to some kind of normality then… In the meantime, Catwalkpictures (who’s a long time partner and official photographer) will keep you busy with some souvenirs of last year edition like this picture of #ChristophRumpf from #Austria who won the Grand Prix in 2019. With the help of #PremiereVision and mes #MétiersDArt of #Chanel, the laureate is invited to present a completely new collection during the following edition. The Salon Rose at Villa Noailles, designed by Robert Mallet-Stevens for Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles in 1923, features a geometric glass ceiling designed by Louis Barrilet. The style is neither backward looking nor too coolly modern, a sensual departure from the rigid dogma put forth by his contemporaries, namely Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier. MÉMENTO VIVO(S) @arthur.donald.bouille 2021 . Mémento Vivo(s) est un travail de recherche sur les manières de médier la relation aux morts en interrogeant la limite de cette identité commune, située à la confluence du visible et de l’imperceptible, de l’intérieur et du dehors, de l’humain ou du presque-humain. Il est le second volet d’une recherche intitulée Expérience de panser, série d’objets transitionnels pour accompagner les maladies du cancer, développée à partir d’une exploration spéculative portée sur la frontière du vivant. Un seuil dont la perception varie selon les pratiques technologiques ou culturelles, de l’édition génétique à la vision élargie des populations animistes et des relations qu’elles tissent, cultivent avec les milieux. Cette pièce prototype, en raku et brios tourné et peint, est à découvrir durant notre exposition « Voies Parallèles » à la @biennale_design_saintetienne jusqu’au 31 juillet.
