every once in a while, i post about my embroidery in hopes of new customs/commissions, so i figured now that we’re approaching some major holidays, i’d post about it again in case anyone is interested!! it’s a really great way for me to make some extra cash while i’m working and in school, and i truly love doing it! so instead of donating to ko-fi, this is another way to support a writer while also receiving some cute, handmade goodies :)

I had to take a few minutes yesterday and just work on a new hair bow. Making bows is the thing I want to do the most, it's my hobby, it's my job, it's the thing that brings me the most joy.

So even though I have lots of other things I need to do right now, including taking care of my very angry thumbs, sometimes I just need to sew for a little bit to rejuvenate myself.

Had a lot of fun using some of my new vintage ribbon; it's so pretty. Not sure if I'm going to put a pin on this one or not yet. 🤔

This art nouveau exhibition includes some beautiful single tone embroideries as well as jewels, demonstrating how this style appeared in everything from the Paris Metro to around the necks of women.

What is this animal?

I was searching through the Antique Pattern Library and came across this embroidery pattern of a beast that seems to be a dolphin with three tail fins and an elephant’s head in Design Elements of Renaissance Embroidery
