i think one of the smallest, most innocuous things about fanon sans that subtly shifted the way people interpret his character away from canon over time is how people saw this chilled-out lazy guy who sleeps a lot so they obviously drew him with sleepy/sleazy half-lidded eyes all the time

like i said, it's completely innocent! it makes sense too. but personality-wise? i think it takes away from the fact that this man is staring into your soul, unblinking, eyes wide open like some kind of fucked up little owl in like, 99% of his sprites

one thing i noticed while watching ep 10 of ms is shun walks into a dark hall just as he ignores marucho's pleas to make him stop brawling. babygirl is in a bad headspace and heading into the dark and it's only getting worse.

another fun tidbit which i'm not sure is intentional or not - it's shun who's shown in the title sequence to cho saikyo warriors just as the lyrics go "i run towards the light" which is a neat contrast to the visuals of episode 10.
