Song: 旅立ちの詩 / Poem of Departure Music / Lyrics: whoo
Asatsuki wa hakoniwa e ochiteyuku Matsuri hi ga noboriyuku sono saki wa
Morning dews fall into the miniature garden Beyond where the festival fire rises
Umarete wa kieteyuku Awai hikari ga tsutsumikondara
Once wrapped around by the fleeting light that repeats the cycle of being born and vanishing
Ima bokura wa tabidatsu no sa, futari de
Two of us, we will set out on a journey
Oikakeru kimi no te no hira ni Ima, kotoba wo, nemuri wo
Right now, with the palm of your hands, chasing after words and sleeps.
Umarete wa kieteyuku Awai hikari ga tsutsumikondara
Once wrapped around by the fleeting light that repeats the cycle of being born and vanishing
Ima bokura no tabidachi no hi, futari no
Right now, it's the day we set off on a trip, the two of us.
Harukana kono sora wo fumitsukete aruku
Treading on this far-away sky
Ima bokura no tabidachi no hi, futari no
It's our day of departure
Kimi no koe wo, kimi no oto wo Kimi no kodou, fukisoku ni nari hibiite
Your voice, your sounds, your heartbeat, resonating sporadically
Boku no mimi wo fusaideita Me wo tsubureba, koko ni kimi ga iru mitai
I plugged my ears If I close my eyes, it's like you're right here with me
Ano maboroshi, natsu no genei Natsu no kumo ni tokete kieta
An illusion, a summer dream melt into a summer cloud and disappear
Kimi no kagerou, ashioto wa kuzurete Tojita ana ga umari yuku Kimi no nemuri wo samasanu you shizuka ni oto mo naku.
Your heat haze, footprints crumble The closed hole is gradually filled, so as to not wake you up, silently, without a sound.

Chẳng có gì có thể thấy được ở đây cả;
-----
Note:
(1) 営み chỉ mối quan hệ tình dục.

"Good child, good child. You're such a good child."
GJEJFJSJDJS I MADE THIS ANIMATION IN A LITTLE OVER A MONTH.
Okay, so it's been a while, and I haven't posted much because this thing's been sitting in flipalip for a bit.
There's a lot to say, but know that this is not my au, and in fact belongs to @13thdoodle! I got into the au the same time I started listening to this song again, and while it may not work in the canon of the au, I just wanted to animate something with it. Do support them, and thanks so much for the brainrot!
Now it'll be a bit, so I'll put the rest under a cut to make things easier.
The song is "The Good Child and the Fox Spirit" by Kikuo!
This took forever to do because of the shading and backgrounds. It's my first ever fully colored and shaded animation, so there's that!
Some of the animation is a bit janky, especially with our little fox here, and I'll be the first to admit that. I realized halfway through the lineart that I can't draw animals, and that was almost enough for me to scrap this altogether, but a flawed result is still better than a result never received, so there's that.
Don't even get me started on the shading, though. There was no clipping masks, or add layers. I settled for a hard light, but man.
Oh, but most importantly! Note that the Japanese on the "Possess me, possess me, did you possess me?" Could be a little inaccurate since I mostly got the Japanese from the vocaloid wiki, and had to seperate it in the animation captions. I'm not sure if I had cut it properly, so it may be inaccurate.
Also, there wasn't an extra "lonely" in the 3rd line, but I decided to add it in because it felt better for keeping the rhythm.
I also debated adding the Romaji text, but decided against it since I felt like it would clutter the animation.
I can't believe I wanted to make this a full animation of the entire song at first. I'm glad I didn't, honestly.

do you like this vocaloid song?
(FLASHING IMAGES WARNING)
youtube
(composed by Hinata Haruhana)
submitted by @illdothehotvoice! thank you so much!!!
note: as far as i can tell, people can't decide on the actual english title for this song, so i've just decided to use the original romaji for this one. "the riddler who can't solve riddles" is a fanmade title and may not be accurate to the original title

Emo RD Rambles 3: Patient Playlist
Welcome back to Emo Cannot Write For Shit So You All Get His Rambles. With an additional thing at the end winkwink. This is really really long so let's get cracking.
Today's concept: Ian and Ada approach the idea of creating a Patient Radio - a playlist made of the long term patient's favourites songs to 'maximise comfort'.
As a beta for the Radio, they leave a sheet of paper in the connecting hallway for patients to list suggestions of their preferred music, around three or four songs maximum. Some already have ideas in mind, while others struggle.
This is just a silly idea I had when wondering what type of music the main RD cast listens to; excluding the songs they're actually involved in. This also created some funny writing prompts that I may use for a small comedic anthology. For example:
Hailey is the first person to write anything down: and she's pretty basic (sorry). Her style is very mainstream, involving those pop songs you'd hear on the radio. From there, a few folks follow, with varying genres and tastes. The next day, however, more folks have added some ideas, including Logan. You can tell Logan has visited - because there is now a messy heart drawn next to Hailey's suggestions.
Also, Logan suggests similar stuff to Hailey, with the addition of maybe an anime opening or two.
Cole... suggests his own music. For the sake of both his ego, and the declining state of the patients, he's given a stern 'no'. Of course, it's Cole, so he angrily scribbles out his suggestions and leaves the paper be. He's surprised when 'Unreachable' comes on via the Patient Radio - and, sure enough, someone's written it down past his scribbling. More specifically, Samurai. He even signed it! (By that, I mean the writing is just "Unreachable- Cole Brew (SAMURAI)". All of Samurai's suggestions are signed this way.)
Insomniac writes down only one suggestion: a traditional Japanese folk song (or 'hōgaku'). This would be fine - if he wrote the song's title in Romaji. Instead, the song is written in pure, specific kanji characters.
Ada returns to Ian come the night with a new version of the paper: "Hey, so, uh- I got the paper back today and there's some new stuff from the swordsmen. Any idea what this is?" Ian turns, "Hah?" before seeing the kanji. There's a slight pause before he just casually goes, "Oh! This is (insert Japanese title here)! That's easy, I'll type it up." Ada learns that Ian learnt how to read kanji entirely just for the songs he listens to that are in Japanese.
Oh yeah: the moment this song plays on the radio, the Insomniac falls asleep. Hell, he sleeps like a baby. Unfortunately, they can't play it on loop, but now they know he appreciates a lil' lullaby.
Speaking of Ian and Ada, they decide to add some of their own songs to the mix (Ian mostly - he felt it was a little unfair that the patients get to listen to banger tunes). Ian adds quite a variety, but we cannot ignore the fact he adds maybe one or two vocaloid songs.
Ada, unfortunately, is a little embarrassed of her status as a former theatre kid, still musical lover. She, instead, uses a few common songs from the radio to add to the list. Ian convinces her, after a little while, to add a really popular song from her favourite musical. I do not know what musical this is.
There's a surprising amount of patients that add jazz to the radio, or at least music from the 1950 to 1980's era. For one, the Stevensons' accidentally add the same song to the list twice, given Mr. Stevenson can't read his wife's handwriting that well anymore (I'll elaborate on why later). This also just so happens to be a song that played in their wedding. They have a ball dancing to it.
Additionally, the Miner also includes a bit of Rock 'n' Roll or otherwise jazz into his suggestions. They're very old for the 30-something nut, but it adds up. He also, thanks to Cole, includes a little chiptune.
Hugh somehow adds the tutorial theme. You know, the tutorial song from Rhythm Doctor. Nobody recognises the title, or the artist, but everyone in the ward has a mutual moment of "I swear I've heard this before". Hugh doesn't comment.
There's a slight cultural shift once Insomniac includes his traditional tune. It's not the only Non-English hit, and Ian/Logan do add a couple of Japanese songs to the pile.
In Nicole's case, she ends up not sure what to suggest, but still wanting to take part. So, she ends up adding a Chinese pop song, quote: "I don't know any Chinese myself, but my mom would put this on a lot, and I didn't have anything else that'd be good for a hospital radio."
Lucky adds two jazz, and a rock song to the radio. The biggest issue is that he originally aimed to add a Spanish song from his childhood, but got caught in his own head, scribbling it out halfway. The good thing? Miner is able to read bits and pieces, writing what he could make out - angering Lucky into writing the full title. He jumps when it plays on the radio days later.
I believe that's everything I had listed. Thanks to RDL for allowing me to compile all of my thoughts before adding them here, as these are now far more conjoined.
Oh, right! The bonus thing! Considering the song suggestions were taken on a piece of lined paper, I thought it would be fun to visualise what I believe the main casts' handwriting would look like:

If you have any thoughts/additions you want to make, you have full reign to send me asks/reblog this with whatever you like. Have a good one, lads - EMO

ever think about how the early 2000s to late 2010s was such great grounds for incredible internet works as new software came out and it opened up for new jobs and opportunities for creative people who came together to share their passion for equally creative online works available for free and passed around basically by word of mouth but as these jobs became more and more normalized the same talents were able to earn a living from them either by working for big companies or freelancing through companies that basically rent the ability to charge for paywalls and the economy is in such an awful state that most people are barely scrapping by with way more times the amount of effort they had to put ten years ago for the same pay as social media forces creators to churn out content all the time no matter what, so now there's less time for free amateur media projects because they can't be monetized as easily and because of that, people can't have access or even knowledge of potential great pieces of artwork thus missing the opportunity to make communities that don't depend on the same big corporations that are profiting from this and the average person who can't afford joining a patreon for every creator they follow and still frequents the same spaces that 10 years ago were commonplace of all kinds of fandoms but keeps seeing less and less diversity in author voices?
Romaji: Suna no Wakusei English: Sand Planet Official English: DUNE is an original Vocaloid song by HACHI,

Preliminary Considerations - Which Vocal Synthesizer Software is Right for You? - Free Softwares
Although this blog puts a major emphasis on the VOCALOID 4 editor, it, or VOCALOID in general, is not the only vocal synthesizer that exists. There are tons of other software that have the same function and a variety of different voicebanks, with some being cheaper and of higher quality than VOCALOID, or even free! That’s right, there are quite a few free vocal synthesizers out there (however the lack of frills may come at the expense of some missing features or difficulty of usage), which I recommend trying out before pouring your hard-earned savings on a program that you may not even use. What if you learn that you do not enjoy tuning or do not have the time to use the software? It would be a huge waste of money that could be invested in other stuff, such as basic necessities (GOOD FOOD) or other leisurely items, like video games, clothing from your favourite bands, art supplies, or merchandise. In addition, there has been a rise of a lot of smaller companies coming out with vocal synthesizers with incredible UIs that not only look appealing but are easy to navigate, and voicebanks that sound far too human and advanced than hATsUnE mIKU (don’t worry, I love Miku with all my heart, I am just trying to prove a point here). There are also some really sick features that you may not find in the franchises with bigger names.
In this post, I will be describing the features of different free vocal synthesizers and their advantages and disadvantages so you can find the one that meets your vocalo-p needs. Please note, I do not own all of these synthesizers, some of these are from reviews on Reddit and VocaVerse Network. In addition, some cons like lag could just be a me problem and better computers may not experience such issues. Also , I will not be covering every single singing synthesizer in existence, just the well known ones and those with proper UIs because there are so many. I am omitting NEUTRINO because it does not have a UI despite having such high-quality vocals, along with ALTER/EGO, as it does not have a piano roll.
UTAU
Tumblr media
(Song: Meltdown by iroha(sasaki); UST: Tanjiro Taidana)
UTAU was designed to be the free sister software to VOCALOID. Not only can you use it without spending a cent, but it allows you to make your own voicebank as well! There are tons of popular voicebanks out there, including the Vipperloids, Gahata Meiji, Kohaku Merry, Matsudappoiyo, Denatsu Sora, Shuu Mawaine, and my personal favourite, SUZU.
Pros:
Almost every single voicebank is free to download
Different types of voicebanks (CV, VCV, CCVC; Monopitch vs. Multipitch; Power, Weak, Soft, Whisper, Growl, Screamo; tons of languages)
Can make your own voicebank right in the software
Pitch bending on the piano roll instead of a parameter box!
Variety of job plugins to make usage easier
Credited for its growl and vibrato handling
Cons:
EXTREMELY dated, UTAU has not been updated since 2013
Not friendly for beginners, especially due to its old UI
Need to change your system's locale, and installing voicebanks can be frustrating
Most voicebanks (namely Japanese) can only read Hiragana phonemes and not Romaji ones; but job plug-ins can fix this issue
youtube
Open Utau
Tumblr media
(Song: The Lost One's Weeping by neru; UST: Tanjiro Taidana)
If UTAU is the sister software to VOCALOID, then Open Utau is the younger sibling to normal UTAU. Open Utau is an open-sourced vocal synthesizer on GitHub with every feature in the original software while being easier to use.
Pros:
Dark mode with a sleek, easy-to-navigate UI!
Pitchbend with a click of a button; piano roll tuning is still consistent
Splice tool; useful for note-bending
No need to switch locale to Japanese
Easier to get the hang of
Frequent updates
Can use VSQXs and svps. without needing to convert them into USTs
Cons:
No Defoko…
Choppier and buggier than classic UTAU
Slow with rendering wav. files and launching the software
Phonemizers are tricky to work with, you don’t always get the same output as the same phonemizers in normal UTAU
External resamplers can cause overheating and slow down the software
Tuning is more dependent on job plugins than the original UTAU
Many users claim that otoing is easier in classic UTAU

SynthesizerV Studio Editor R1
Tumblr media
(Song: Tengaku by Yuuyu; VSQx by Adam Edmond)
This preliminary edition of SynthesizerV was a major breakthrough for the vocal synth community when it was first released. With its realistic-sounding voicebanks and minimalistic aesthetic, this software has changed the game by a landslide for synth users. Although it's quite limited, R1 was an amazing start for what will become a godly program in the future. Pros:
Pitch bending on the piano roll and in the parameter box (very smooth, I experienced no lag when using it nor did I have to make pitch points or pause while editing the parameters)!
Voicebanks sound quite human
MIND BLOWING GLOTTAL EFFECTS (nine different growls, two screams, and a vocal fry that do not sound robotic!)!
Really simple UI, easy to pick up, great for beginners!
Cons:
Outdated; is no longer being updated by Dreamtonics
Needs a recording license for commercial use (though I highly doubt it is still being upheld)
Only four voicebanks are available; Eleanor Forte, Yamine Renri, GENBU, and AiKO - who is paid and an outdated version of her R2 voicebank (R2 versions of the same voicebanks sound much cleaner and realistic)
A little too minimalistic; aside from the addition of glottal effects and the typical pitch deviation, loudness, tension, breathiness, voicing, gender, and vibrato parameters, there is not all that much you can do in this edition of the editor
youtube
SynthesizerV Studio Basic
Tumblr media
(Song: Antibeat by Deco* 27; UST: Mayu Sama Desu)
Also known as SynthV R2, this is the free edition of the software that is currently being updated, despite having fewer features than its complete, paid version.
Pros:
Ready to play with as soon as it is installed
Twenty-five free voicebanks; sixteen Japanese, seven English, and two Chinese; all with unique sounds
AI voicebanks!
Instant mode; allows you to automatically tune the pitch of an entire track with the press of a button, although it may make the voice sound too pitchy
Waveform that allows you to see the volume and pronunciation of certain notes
Can use paid voicebanks in the free editor!
Just as easy to figure out as SynthV R1!
Cons:
Can only have a maximum of three vocal tracks in a single svp. file
Pitch bending is a lot more finicky compared to SynthV R1
Lite voicebanks sound mono-pitch
Lacks a ton of features that are available in SynthesizerV Pro; scripts, auto-pitch tuning, rap vocals, cross-lingual synthesis, vocal modes, alternate phoneme choices, and many other features are not included in the basic edition (even paid voicebanks can not use cross-lingual synthesis, vocal modes, etc)
The glottal effects parameter that was in SynthV R1 is sadly not included in both the Basic and Pro editions of the current program
youtube
VoiSona
Tumblr media
(Song: iNSaNiTY by Circus-P; VSQX: Cirty_09)
Previously named “CeVIO Pro”, VoiSona is a vocal synth that uses AI technology to create beautiful vocals with characters that originated from a variety of other vocal synthesizers (such as VOCALOID!) and are created with the recordings of talented singers and voice actors. CeVIO project has also launched a trial speech vocal synthesizer called “VoiSona Talk” for their first anniversary.
Pros:
Users get Chis-A’s full voicebank upon downloading the synthesizer!
The program itself is entirely free to download
AI technology makes tuning easier
Piano roll pitch-bending
Has some features that are missing in its sister software, CeVIO AI
The “husky” parameter is great for making whispers
Can be used as a VST plugin in most DAWs or a standalone editor
Cons:
All other voicebanks are paid; either you purchase the entire voicebank once, or get a subscription to use all of them
HEAVY LAG; the program is quite slow with processing commands
Free-hand pitch-bending is not as easy to perform compared to UTAU or SynthesizerV; can be quite sensitve and the AI may not always yield the desired result
youtube
DeepVocal
Tumblr media
(Song: New Darling by MARETU; UST: Mimisan15)
The successor to the Sharpkey Galaxy software, this vocal synthesizer was designed for Chinese voicebanks. Its UI is a combination of VOCALOID4 and UTAU, giving it a sense of comfort and familiarity. Speaking of which, you can create your own voicebank in DeepVocal as you can in UTAU and OpenUtau, and there are some pre-made voicebanks of popular UTAUs, including Namine Ritsu, Inari Akane, and Kuro Bousuka. In addition, there is also a Kiana voicebank commissioned by MiHOYO and based on the protagonist of Gun Girls Z and Honkai Impact 3rd!
Pros:
Ready to use as soon as its out of the box
Great engine for Chinese voicebanks
Can create your own voicebank
Runs smoothly
Has all of the necessary parameters needed to create songs and covers
Cons:
Voicebanks can be kind of shaky, choppy, and more sensitive to pitch changes compared to other engines like UTAU and VOCALOID
Pitch bending can be quite clunky
Voicebanks may have difficulty reading certain phenomes from converted USTs; you may need to edit them if you don’t want lyrics being read as “a” or “ra”
youtube
These were all of the major free softwares I found, but if I come across another vocal synthesizer in the future, even if it is not talked about in the vocal synth community much, I may make a post about it.
I know there are a ton of cons I found for much of the vocal synths on this list and they sound like nitpicks on my part, but as I stated at the start of this post, some of these issues could be a Shimmer Thing™ and they may not arise for you when using these softwares. I won't be surprised if you read through this post and are now feeling thrown off by the various features and pros and cons of these programs, so here's my two cents on what I think beginners should go for:
If you like realistic voicebanks and want a very simple software to start with, get either SynthesizerV Editot (R1) or SynthesizerV Studio Basic (R2). If you would like to experience them (spicy) glottal effects and very kind pitchbending (like it does not make you want to bash your head against the wall because Renri won't cooperate) along with unlimited vocal tracks, then try out R1, and if you want more features, voicebanks, and continous updates, go for R2. Or even better, try out both and decide which one suits your interests better.
If you have a preference for robotic voicebanks, would like a variety of vocals to play with, and find plug-ins interesting, then UTAU may be for you, especially if you want VOCALOID but you can not afford it at the moment. Although I shitted more on Open Utau than I did on regular UTAU, I recommend the former over the latter as it is still being updated and the UI is signifcantly easier to navigate, along with its phenomenal pitchbending function.
Finally, please take my words with a grain of salt. If you like the voicebanks or are interested in a specific software, or discover one that is even better than any of the listed vocal synthesizers, by all means, go for it! This is just a surface guide by an idiot who spends most of their time trying to make Fukase not sound like a computer dying, and I have not used any of these softwares as much as I have messed with VOCALOID. Plus, my computer is an absolute bitch, so you guys will probably have much better luck than me.
I hope this guide was of use and provided a better insight on the various engines out there. My next post will compare different paid vocal synthesizers, including CeVIO AI, Piapro Studio, and of course, the various VOCALOID softwares. Don't worry, I'll get to the actual tutorial bit very soon.
Also, feel free to ask any questions about vocal synthesizers, or... literally anything! I'm practically starved for asks-
Thanks for reading!

Evillious/Touhou OC: Lust
Tumblr media
Time to show my Main OC
~Technical Information~ Name: Lust Romaji: kyu-jū roku no Rustsuto Other Name: Otomachi Una (Idol Name), Lust the 96th, Subject 96 (Birth Name), the Creature, the Lizard Youkai, Youkai of Lust Vocaloid: Otomachi Una
~Biographical Information~ July 30th, EC 1493 Age: 14 (which in his species, would be ancient but Lust behaving like a Young adult) Classification: Mutated Lizard (with tons of DNA cramped up into one creature including Youkai and Lunarian) Gender: Male in Lizard form and female in Humanoid form Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Hair Color: Light Purple (in Normal form) and Blue (In Humanoid form) Eye Color: Green (in Normal form) and Blue (in Humanoid form) Affiliation(s): Northern Maistia, Gensokyo
Lust born Subject 96th has been experimented on since He was hatched to the point that His body can no longer reject any creature's DNA until a Miracle happened, where He broke out of the tank due to the Robotic Figure and escaped to Toxic Disposal which is where He got accidentally impaled by Venom Sword and being around radioactive around him causing him to mutant even further
Later on, He was raised and trained by Cryptid Trios to become their Ally and inject more DNA into him (specifically Turtle to slow down Aging, Chimps for Sociality, and Dolphins to boost Hedonism) but They avoided giving him Human DNA as it can make him Hesitation. They have given his codename "Lust"
Once They're finished training him, New Sinners went on raiding Heavenly Yard and failed. Lust punishment is getting sent to the world where every Woman there can kick his ass which is Gensokyo
Once He was sent there, he struggled to survive for the first few weeks but He was eventually able to adapt and finally gain Human DNA which caused Lust to grow hair and be able to talk in Human Language
Later on, Lust got taken into Eientei so He could be studied by the Lunarian there, a year later, Lust got sent to the Lunar Capital as a Messager while He fought one of the princess there in the usual Touhou manner, He was able to inject Lunarian DNA but Lunarian Blood is so Pure, It's completely turn him into a young female humanoid
A few days later after getting sent back to Gensokyo, Lust realized why it had been so weak for the past year as it had almost no sin power at all and it couldn't attract anybody in either form as He/She either too hideous or too young
this gives Lust the idea when He/She sees the Prismriver sisters performance that it can gain fans who will love and worship her in humanoid form (basically simping but not in a sexual way, it's in the cute way)
After another year of Performance, Lust got sent back to her homeworld where he along with other New Sinners continued what they left off but now stronger and smarter than ever
Lust gets into a fight with Kayo Sudou where He terrorizes Jakoku and They both fight to the death with Mutual Kills
Later on Sloth (who has no soul) gets sent to Hellish Yard to get Lust and Wrath's souls back
After the War ended, the Trios gave other Sinners a choice to either stay with them and face their consequences or leave for their punishment turned new homeworld, Lust chose Latter
but When Lust got sent back, He realized this isn't his Gensokyo as He saw a young girl with a book that could summon all the people that he had met and reskins of them
this drove Lust to jealousy and hated that young girl able to get everyone to love her while He took years to struggle to even ally with one of them so a new Conflict begins
Trivia: - Lust shared the same birthday as her Vocaloid representation - I have been avoiding doing anything related to Venomania such as building Harem - Lust never had sexualized her Idol Persona - Lust has been inspired by Hoshino Ai from Oshi no Ko who is Idol who lies and somewhat manipulative about loving her fans but with fewer redeem Qualities than Ai did - Lust has 3 variations like Vocaloid counterpart, Sugar being casual, Spicy when performing and Talk EX is in between Lizard and Humanoid (completed with Scales, stilt eyes, and tail)

💝 BOOM
chaos from spear?!?!?!?!? no fucking way . okay umm. reaching into my mind and pulling something out This is actually good practice for improvisation. this was actually a recent (as in changed?? idfk) opinion of mine We should abandon english covers of non-english songs- this is specifically in the vocaloid community ive noticed. following the same reasoning as "if i could sing songs in other languages and memorize those lyrics for music class, i can do that now". this is for a lot of reasons- there is no one correct english translation- well, i guess if the person who made the song provides one. but even then, a lot of phrases in other languages are hard to translate 1:1 to another language. (read more-d again i am SO sorry im like this)
not only that, a lot of words, therefore sentences, are not the same length in every language. so lyrics have to be put into a thesaurus to get shorter or longer words so youre not holding them out super long or going SUPERFASTHOLYSHIT [super fast holy shit] and can barely sing the next line cause you're out of breath. which would work, except now the lyrics sound all clunky, or too fancy, etc- and it removes the mood the original lyrics were meant to have. for example- additional memory by jin. a direct translation of the last line is "goodbye, i love you." which is direct and to the point. but to make it longer, will stetson's lyrics are "this is the end, I love you so" which is.. so Exaggerated. so fancy. 'i love you so'? who the fuck says that? do you get my point, here? at that point, it'd be simpler to sing in the original language, yknow? not to mention the trouble of keeping rhymes- which isnt necessary for a song, but is always nice. actively TRYING to memorize the words, pronunciation, even characters for what you're singing could help you slowly learn that language. i've never been good at learning other languages (after spanish classes ended in school that shit left my brain Immediately) so something like that could be nice. especially since romaji isn't read how most english words are and getting used to that could make singing other songs even easier ! just in general though, it gives off a weird vibe. why does this song need to be in english? its like- very much a reach, but it feels like if you were whitewashing the song. thats the only way i can think of putting it into words. the unnecessary need to make something that belongs to people of color 'normal', if that makes sense. again, the way im saying it sounds super intense! that's not what i want it to sound like at all- im just saying it has that small bit of oddness to it.. slightly unrelated; the popular artists that make english versions of these songs end up being weirdos anyway. i forget her name (godbless) but the chick that was acting weird about one of the underage vocaloids in the description of one of her covers who had absolutely Terrible lyrics is someone i immediately think of. also- the obsession Will stetson has with kanaria?? every time they make a new song he's immediately on making a cover of it- even in his community tab he makes posts like OMG NEW KANARIA SONG HAHA in such a weird obsessive way.. it was especially notable since i used to be subscribed to him and listen to his covers a lot (which im ashamed of now, obviously)

Nio-P - 余所事 (Another's Affair) feat. Kagamine Rin Lyrics [JPN/ROM/ENG]
"I decided to pack up only the sad things And carry them with me wherever I go" Ooga-ooga! Ooga-ooga! Rin-chan you're so cute Rin-chan aha I am most grateful for Mame-san, who was in charge of the alluringly sexy-cute Rin-chan! And Virus-san, who was in charge of the hyper-sexy guitar. Thanks!
Track title: 余所事 (Another's Affair) Lyrics/Music: におP (Nio-P) (Mylist) Vocal: Kagamine Rin E.guitar: うぃるす (Virus) Illustration: まめ (Mame)
Credit goes to Nio-P, Virus & Mame.

English translation:
Only hanging out with boring people
How many years has it been already?
Passing by in my eyes is the colour of clouds
Only chasing after tomorrow's plans
Is quite lonely, somehow
In my chest is the colour of shriveled flowers
There's nothing that can be seen here;
Even the diamonds that are supposed to be see-through
Are filled in black
They lead you to a simple trap
Tonight, I invite you
To a relationship (1) without love
Crimson cut into still-sweet skin
Don't utter such stupid jokes
The lies spilled out of such sweet lips
Are pure foolishness
I decided to pack up only the sad things,
And carry them with me wherever I go
There - the murmuring sound of people furrowing their eyebrows in scorn (2)
Full of hope, at the quiet intersection,
Once again I look over my shoulder to a familiar voice
Yet, that hairstyle isn't the same as I recall
Looks like I ended up hurting myself in desperation all the same
I cut off the love covered in dirt, tainted in a vain illusion
Without even a trace of a silhouette,
Hide the deep wounds that I've accepted,
And suck the bitter nectar
Putting the same old meaningless ballad on repeat
No matter how many times I listen to it or how much I cry,
This period of nothing in particular will never change
Tomorrow will still be the same scenery, no doubt
Such a fool, aren't I?
-----
Notes:
(1) 営み refers to a sexual relationship.
(2) In the original lyrics, the artist intends the kanji 顰 in 顰めた to read as ひそ here; 眉を顰める means to furrow one's eyebrows. However, ひそめる(written as 潜める)also means to murmur, which connects to "the sound of people". Same reading, different kanji. I think Nio-P did some wordplay here, so I took a bit of liberty in the translation.

I rediscovered "WORLD'S END UMBRELLA"
First of all I am huge Hachi/Yonezu Kenshi Fanboy, so very biased.
Anygay, as the title says I rediscovered this song:
And I simply fell in love with it again. So here's a kind of theory what it is about plus my humble opinion.
Disclaimer: English is not my native language.
I'm gonna talk about depression and suicide. Spoiler
There are two versions of the song, the lyrics and melody are slightly different but the story is still the same. Here a short summary:
A town is covered by a giant "umbrella", which has some "leaks". No one questions it, because it is commonplace, "law". A boy is sick of it. He and a girl run to the tower of the umbrella. In there they get chased by a white shadow. At the top they see "everything", a beautiful storybook like sky. There they fall asleep.
Now that's just the basics. Feel free to watch the videos, read the translation and stuff.
Now my theory what it could mean:
Depression
Hell yeah, it's a beautifully but depressing song! The reoccurring motif is the rain and sadness, which are common symbols for depression or similar mental illnesses. The boy is sick of it, while the girl seems more like she accepted it, like probably the rest of the "town". Going into the tower was the first step to fighting the depression. And they did it together. The white shadow is probably trying to get them back into the common state of depression. Like a habit you can hardly get rid of. But together they push through, arriving at the door. In the lyrics it says the door was "dusty from waiting". No one even tried to climb the tower. And once they open the door they see "everything". A beautiful sky, flowers everywhere. Something they haven't seen in forever.
Now the ending.... You can interpret it im two ways:
They helped each other and started healing together (Happy Ending)
They committed suicide together and found peace (Bad Ending)
The last few lines point the the Bad Ending, but it's totally up to the listener.
I would love to hear other opinions, maybe I forgot something or you have a totally different view of the song.
Anygay thank you for reading.

Hello world reminds me of this vocaloid somg
I didn't write a "Hello, World" Aranara fic, but I think one of them reminded you of the song? "Welcome, World" is similar, so maybe that one? XD
Anyways, just listened to the song and I really like the last verse;
To this WORLD basked in love, "G'morning, g'morning" // To the daylight, noon, and evening, "G'morning, g'morning" // To the rhythm of the universe' galaxies, "G'morning, g'morning" // To the people of Adam and Eve, "G'morning, g'morning" // To 'you' that I missed so much, "G'morning, g'morning" // And to 'you' that just sprouted, "G'morning, g'morning"
*translation may differ source per source but I got this one from a yt vid with romaji
