Golden Fleece
#my art#cotl#cotl lamb#blood#it was really fun to ponder this one#cause in the game sprite the body on the fleece has the scale-like texture but the hem is sharp like the standard fleece#i felt a 2 tiered piece would work nicely to show both of these contrasting elements#the sprite always makes me think of gold scale mail but i wanted to avoid it looking explicitly like armor#since the fleece gives you stacking atk damage in exchange of taking 2x damage when hit#although tbqh gold armor would be fucking pointless anyways. gold is a very soft metal. which may have been the point but w/e#instead i wanted the shapes to be more reminiscent of wool since like. yknow. the golden fleece#and i wanted it to speak of luxury and power but be rather impractical for movement or protection#i just wanted to do an axe for funsies and by wonderful coincidence remembered the godly axe was gold :]#anyways this pose is brought to you by my stupid ass who spun too hard with my upper body when swinging a bat and felt cool for 1 second#before totally unbalancing myself and falling#the instant after this image lambo eats shit. rest in peace

look i rarely make my own posts
but the amount of people absolutely shitting on Veilguard after the trailer dropped is driving me up the fucking wall
think about the DAO, DA2 and DAI you remember playing - then go watch the trailers
imo, not a single official DA trailer has matched either the vibe or the art style of the actual game
furthermore, every trailer for earlier games has drawn heavily on the collective vibe of rpgs of the time, often making them seem much more bland and derivative than they actually end up being
what makes me really excited about the trailer is looking at the focus compared to earlier 'first' or 'main' trailers; the DA2 trailer is entirely centered on Hawke, while the DAI trailer is centered on the Breach, ie the PC and the main threat, respectively - and in both cases I'd argue that the main focus if the trailer is also the main focus of the game, though obviously not the sole focus
the Veilguard trailer is almost entirely focused on the companions - my hope is that this means that your party and the companions will be at the forefront of the story this time, taking a page from BG3's book, which would make me so so happy🙏

#that game is so good easily one of my favorites of all time#smt iv#salty talks#ive been thinking abt it and wanting to talk abt it bc. ough#that games setting is so fucking good and so well done. i really didnt expect where it would go and how it would use its setting#even tho i know the ost names and listened to them. and that game knocked me flat on my ass like three times my first time through#god i love the setting of smt iv i love how you get exactly as much information as the mc does i love how naturally you learn abt the world#entering the ueno undergeound district without yet understanding what tokyo’s deal was waa so cool#also the combat is p satisfying and a good challenge and i like the main characters and the plot is rlly good#i havent gotten all the endings yet either wo i still dont fully understand whats going on and im so eager to see what im missing#its just. god its such a good game. even when it drags with level grinding and just wandering around its fun#also old gamefaqs forum threads and w/e abt smt iv i would be lost in naraku w/o you god there are so many essential smt iv guides there#its just. god smt iv. i have literally not interest in checking out apocalypse lol. but oh my god smt iv

it's one of those instances where kaveh and alhaitham are arguing and alhaitham is saying that like, while he disagrees with kaveh lol, he also doesnt deny theres truth to what kaveh says.
but i also think it's funny how alhaitham is like "end of conversation. ALSO-" like bitch you kept going IMMEDIATELY fkjsjfklds and then that stupid bit where theyre like "he said this" "he did not fucking say that" "he did" "no he didnt fuck you" "he did give me a month ill prove it!!!!" THEYRE FIGHTING LIKE CHILDREN ON A PUBLIC MESSAGE BOARD😭😭😭

MAYBE im reading into it way too much bc i have terminal haikaveh brain. maybe. BUT!!!! art is subjective i can do what i want :^) anyway i think a lot about this part because TO ME it sounds like kaveh keeps assuming the worst from alhaitham - makes sense, they argue all the time and they def have a turbulent relationship. HOWEVER!!!!! while alhaitham does like poking fun at kaveh and gets annoyed with him dskjfdsklf i FEEL LIKE theres an implication that he like, does not enjoy seeing kaveh suffer the way kaveh just assumes he does.
like here, kaveh is like oh, youre not hoping to see me make a fool of myself are you >:(?? just bc alhaitham was like. in a location unexpectedly. lol. and then alhaithams phrasing is just so specific where he like, doesnt say yes but doesnt say no either lol. hes like "oh so you think i get joy from seeing you in pain day in and day out? well if that were true id be entertained always because youre always in distress"
but like. I DUNNO MAYBE IM BEING STUPID BUT JKSDLFJDKL to ME it felt like he was deflecting the question. to be fair it was a silly question so maybe alhaitham didnt think it worth answering lololol but like "are you here to watch me struggle" "why do you assume i enjoy you struggling" is the vibe i get. but then with bullying also bc alhaitham is still poking at him and his distresses lol jdkslfdskl
and then like the moment the traveler is about to be like "kavehs feeling sad" and kaveh tries to deflect it, i personally think alhaitham managed to come up with a distraction to get kaveh to walk away for a minute so he could hear about kavehs troubles bc hes IMMEDIATELY LIKE
ok now that hes gone tell me about kaveh and his issues. and then goes on to explain kaveh and his behavior
and there are SEVERAL INSTANCES i mean this is an obvious thing lol but like, many such cases where kaveh and alhaitham will be like "yeah this guy is incredibly smart but his personality is fucking unbearable" i just enjoy that as much as they rag on each other theyre still like "no he is a genius though im not gonna deny that" AND ALSO [help]
alhaitham says stuff like this a few times, i think hes got a teapot line or so where he says similar things 🤔 but hes like "yeah people go about their lives doing different things and thats fine everyone should stay in their lane as long as theyre not disrupting the lives of others" AND YET!!!!!!!!!!!! he and kaveh endlessly fight with each other on how they go about their lives. trying to get the other to see their way of thinking even though i think they both acknowledge [or it says somewhere in the lore that they do] that it is a losing battle bc theyre both really set in how they see things and their methods of doing things. I JUST FIND IT REALLY INTERESTING that alhaitham is like, "mind your business and ill mind my business what ever bye" but when it comes to kaveh hes like. no actually i have to debate you. the way you feel isnt wrong however your actions make your life really hard for yourself and you could be living better if you changed" like he cannot stay in his lane when kaveh is involved!!!!! and like the whole reason he's even IN the parade of providence event at all was bc he was pursuing a thread of research that he figured out was connected to kavehs dad and his disappearance!!! mister "i dont want to get involved if it doesnt disrupt my life" got involved to give his boy some closure on the haunting of his dead father!!!!!!!!!! I am going to explode now goodbye!!!!

#kricketot#they kinda look like an enemy in a mario game. with the nose shape and the eyes. they're cute. they look like a guy whom mario could stomp#on their head and they would like. squish down and then disappear and drop a coin. does this make any sense#i guess so. actually i got a random shiny kricketot in my first playthrough of legends arceus. came right after the shiny luxio i got#both of which were like. my first “full-odds” shinies though some would argue they don't count bc they make a loud sound when they spawn#and it's not like. a “Real” pokémon game. which. is fair. i also got a lot of shinies in scarlet/violet but you can see those in the overwo#ld too so maybe those don't count either? if those are our criteria then i have never gotten a full-odds random shiny before. in a pokémon#game where you can't see shinies in the overworld. but i'll still always remember kricketot as one of the ones that i did get#i was like. climbing up the mountain behind the second camp in obsidian fieldlands. the one where you get wyrdeer and fight kricketune#and one just fucking. spawned. in the grass. i heard the sound effect and just Turned. and there it was. threw a jet ball at it or w/e they#'re called and got it. and i can't remember what i named her but i do remember she was female
