The text is taken from various NHS Gender Identity Clinic websites, and an article by the Guardian, regarding the long waiting times for gender affirming healthcare. The clock is the Doomsday Clock, which was moved forward to 100 seconds to midnight in 2020. The Doomsday Clock is a metaphor used by the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists to communicate the risk posed to society by nuclear weapons, the climate crisis, ect.

I really ought to make a new one of these, given how things have changed in the last five years

**Bottom Surgery is currently suspended for ALL SCOTTISH PATIENTS at New Victoria Hospital **

New Victoria Hospital have confirmed that Scottish patients will not be offered bottom surgery at their hospital, until further notice.

This is apparently due to a ‘funding issue’.

If you are a Scottish patient on the bottom surgery waiting list with NVH, make your local MP/MSP aware that Scottish patients are currently being refused access to trans surgery at NVH due to an apparent ‘funding issue’. I would also consider making a complaint to your NHS board and to NVH directly.

This is a serious situation that has been going on since last year but NVH have chosen to not make public knowledge.

If this continues to go unnoticed and is not being brought to the attention of the Scottish government, this will have a massive impact on the bottom surgery waiting list.

We are urging our followers to make complaints and reach out to their local MPs/MSPs.

So instead of being continuously dissapointed, I get to be paranoid as well? GREAT. Because guess what!!

They've been "calling" people from February 2022 for 4 months. I send them an email to ask if that information is really accurate. It isn't! They are "already" on February! Gosh, what a relief. So the site that is supposed to provide me a modicum of security, like a cardboard box in a cyclone, DOESN'T FUCKING WORK.

I signed up for that fucking waiting list in July 2022. If I go full Pepe Silvia on this """"less stressful""" system, in the best case scenario it takes them 2 months to handle 1 month of intakes, which would make my turn February 2026.

In the worst case scenario, it takes them 4 months a month, and they just barely started February. In that case, itll be my turn February 2027.

Thats a full 12 month difference and I have no way of knowing which scenario is more realistic.

IN WHAT OTHER CONTEXT WOULD IT BE ANYWHERE NEAR OKAY TO HAVE T H A T MUCH UNCERTAINTY ABOUT MY FUCKING I N T A K E ???

Wanna know the funniest thing? The funniest fucking thing?

Do you know how long the estimated wait time was when I signed up (on July 5th, 2022)? Do you know how long the official website said, nay, assured me it would take? Do you wanna know??

TWO FUCKING YEARS. It was supposed to be my turn in July 2024!! Which is still obscene but how the fuck is it okay to have possibly DOUBLED???! A doubled waiting time wouldn't be okay if I ordered a fucking pizza, and I'm supposed to just live like this waiting for medical care??

(I repeat: this is about the FUCKING. INTAKE!!!! I wonder if the plan is to just have me die from an aneurysm before they have to bother treating me)

"We understand this time is stressful. We recommend seeking counseling to bridge the gap." MOTHERFUCKER? GET COUNSELING WHERE?!?! Literally all the psychological services providers that could meaningfully help me get the stamp of approval have closed their applications. Because guess what??? They don't have the capacity to treat the massive amount of very stressed, very upset transgender people living in the Netherlands.

Update on requests

Hello everyone, 😁 Thank you all for the fun requests I've been getting.

I just wanted to let everyone know there is currently a waiting list for them. Meaning it will take me a while to finish new requests. But requests are stil open and new ones always welcome! You will just have to wait some time before I'll be able to get to it. So if you don't mind that feel free to contact me. I'm trying to post atleast one request a week. But it can take me longer sometimes.

I just want to let you know that I'm going to raise my commission prices a bit. I know this is not good news and everything is getting more expensive these days, my rent is no exception 🥲 That's why I made this decision - I hope you understand! (^^ゞ It won't be a crazy increase and it won't affect people on my current waiting list so if you are on my current list the old prices still apply! and if you want a commission from me then this is the best time to order drawings at the old price. After I publish the new commission infographic, the old prices will not be available.

Also, I think I will spend slightly more time drawing the artwork for you from now on. I usually finish them in 4-13 working days (depending on complexity) 'cos I always want to deliver them fast but sometimes I feel like it affects quality sometimes, so now I want to give myself more time to polish them - I hope you understand 👐

There are no rules for any of the waiting lists. It generally comes down to admins and them keeping the waiting lists in order.
