I was trying to figure out why I was feeling so off and generically sad all day today until I opened up Stardew Valley and realized I haven't seen the sun in three weeks and no green plants for longer than that. I HAVE to move somewhere sunnier I was simply not cut out to live in this much gloom

#my school starts at 7 and ends at 2 #that is objectively stupid and pointless and just damaging #the bus leaves at 6:27 which means i have to wake up at ~5:30 in the morning #why #like actually though #it would make much more sense if it was 9-4 #firstly because it means you actually get a relatively good amount of sleep #secondly bc it means your parents/guardians (who probably have a 9-5!) dont have to worry about you for the last 3 hrs of their work day #thirdly bc YOULL probably grow up to work a 9-5 so attending a school like that would help you acclimate to that schedule!#the extra hour gives plenty of time for after-school extra-curriculurs #and the 9 am start gives plenty of time for before-school extra-curriculurs #in summary the person who created this current schedule deserves to be shot in the head #thank you for coming to my ted talk #three pigeons in a trench coat

#i started king the land the other day and OH MY GOODNESS #i did not expect to like it this much i am having so many thoughts #i am only in the middle of episode six #last night i went to bed in between episodes 3 and 4 and i was like. i am so ready to go right to beddy bye shut my tired little eyes #and i slept for 7 straight hours. that was like 10:30 PM to 5:30 AM exactly #i NEVER sleep like that #it was like i had been possessed by the god of longed-for and timely slumber #do you know how hard it is for me to go to bed or wake up that early?#depsite the fact i do it on a regular basis for work it is NOT natural to me #going to bed stresses me out and it takes a lot more work than it ends up being worth aldsfkaf #which is to say i practice good habits but bc of my anxiety it ends up not being very restful #i constantly wake up during the night etc.#tales from diana #a good tv show will put me to bed like magic. that's what im betting on. do your thing tv show!#by the end of episode 6 i better feel like a sleep fairy has cast me under her spell like i did last night #wouldnt that be great!#anyway i wish you all a good night's sleep. goodnight zzzzz

every single night my cat is like oh perfect the 8 hours where you're trying to sleep. the perfect time for me to start tearing at the carpet with my teeth and swinging from the curtains and yelling at you to get up or else

My workplace occasionally likes to shoot me in the foot, just to see how long I'll limp. Today, they took away one of my weekend days day-of without notifying me at all, & are prolly expecting me to come. Jokes on them: I'm not doing that.

I love my niece and nephew but my sister literally keeps dumping them with me & expecting me to babysit without paying me despite the fact she has a job, & I'm tired of being treated as free labor for her

#when i asker her if there was anybody else to babysit she said her friend but was like 'but then if i took them there #then I'd have to pay them' (meaning she offhandedly admitted she doesn't believe she should pay me for babysitting all day)#i agreed to ONE day of babysitting & now ive been babysitting since monday from 9 am to 5 pm #& she didnt even tell me about the other days i literally woke up to my nephew crying & my sister gone so she just left him here #without saying anything #tbd #and she STILL never paid me for watching her son all summer 2 years ago despite telling everyone she was going to #she had a job & good money then too she just. decided not to pay me #i also hate 1. waking up early 2. waking up early in the summer 3. babysitting without getting paid 4. doing shit last minute #so this is p much my nightmare to keep waking up early in the summer to babysit all day without being told about plans & without pay

I haven’t gotten to it recently, I just finished college and moved in with a friend for the summer! we’ve been having a bunch of friends over so I’ve just been hanging out with them all the time, haven’t even gotten my PC set up lol

next week I’m starting work on summer research so that’s when I’ll probably resume ISAT! but for now I’m pretty much on vacay hanging out with friends all day hehehehe

when I do get back though… return to the dagger… another visit to the king after dying trying to say the name…. yes…. it will be excellent

#literally waking up at 8 and going to bed at 2 am every day #and hanging out with people all that time #i’m suprised my social battery has been hanging on but it’s chill enough I can just hang out in the same room #like siffrin…#there are like four people including me here all the time #and 3-4 other people rotating around #it’s been fun #but yeah next week definitely #and perhaps sooner #thanks for the ask!

There's this nearly 4 hour movie I've been meaning to watch for a while and I was like "ah maybe ill watch it tonight hehe 🥰" and then I remember...quali is at 9 🫠

#i actually despise abu dhabi being the seaosn closer ngl #basically since Japan the race time has suited my timezone pretty well #1 am. 1 pm. 3 pm. 4 pm. 12 pm. 1 am.#<- like look at that. look at they absolutely delicious schedule #every race for the past 2 months has been at an ideal time and ive really settled into it #wow you mean i can sleep in on weekends and actually wnjoy the schedule!? oh boy!#and then they put fucking ad at the end which is at 8 am. who wants to wake up that early on a sunday #it would be fine if it was earlier in the season bcs during the middle i got pretty used to waking up before 9 bcs all the European races #but to have this one at thw end is literally horrible #its really down to timezones but fuck it really does bother me #bcs wow youve made me have zero desire to watch the season closer! thanks!!#id sooooo much rather brazil be the season closer still #like whh do you have to completely switch timezones right at the very end. its terrible #i think ill do waht i did last season and take a bit of a nap beforehand #it makes it much worse that this on a holiday wknd too. yeah bcs i rly wanna spend the last two days of my break waking up in the morning #sry im being ultra salty rn but i really dont wanna wake up for it but i hate missing race events UGHHHHHH #last yr i literally fell asleep during the first lap of AD 😭#yeah im concerned abt if nando will retain p4 or not but...waking up before 8 am...??#yeah idk i just rly dislike this scheduling #i actually kinda like AD as a track but its position in the season makes me resent it #catie.rambling.txt

Charmed (1998) rewatch but only seasons 1-3 and then treating the season 4 premiere as an open-ended finale 🤷🏻‍♀️

#charmed #charmed 1998 #charmed wb #i remember what comes next all too well #honestly I am sorry to miss out on some of the phoebe/cole scenes of early s4 when they were still fun #but i don't think i can take the s4 plotlines again let alone the reminder of s5 looming #going back as an adult is fascinating though #1 - so much of the fashion is back in #season one especially #also wow preteen/early teen me was really oblivious to fashion though i did wind up thinking leather pants = cool from what i absorbed then #2 - i can absolutely see the change from the original showrunner and really wish i knew what constance m burge intended next #3 - the inconsistencies. the inconsistencies #not just the mythology they were making up on the fly #(how long are you a ghost v moving on to next life since past lives are a thing but also visitors from the afterlife etc etc)#but the timeline #how old was phoebe when victor left (thank god they recast victor absolute glow-up)#why did leo have a past life in the 20s when he should have been already growing up #cole refers to 'mornings waking up next to you' about his ADA apartment when it's very pointed that he & phoebe only hook up there once #4- fascinating how sex is treated in the early seasons v the latter #(it went over my head back in the day but) they very much make clear which boyfriends they're sleeping with v which they *aren't*#(i.e. they spell out that prue only sleeps with andy once & never with jack & that piper never sleeps with Josh etc)#5 - biggest mistake the reboot made was doing the half-sister storyline in episode 1 #it gave them no wiggle room when a sister DID leave the show but #more importantly you lose the original grew-up-together-push-each-others-buttons dynamic that is so good #not many siblings shows on that level (supernatural is the only comparison coming to mind)#6 - I'm so Team Cole still #talk about dropping the ball on character - his half-demon backstory motivated by saving his father's soul is great actually AND DROPPED #still about phoebe/cole but the prue and cole dynamic makes more sense knowing they were dating IRL #and shoehorning in paige out of the blue distrusting cole mid s4 as replacement for that dynamic just will never work for me #anyway as my sister is now my roommate in the old house we rent Charmed (early seasons) hits different and holds up better than i expected!

reading about how people think bang energy drinks are too strong and apparently what people in the military drink because they have so much caffeine and i had actually opened the thread looking for things with more caffeine than bangs because it takes one of those after a caffeine pill to get me through a day at my 7:45am - 3 pm not that insane job. ok 👍🏻

#i don't do this 4 days out of the week that would be financially irresponsible i got some preworkout powder and mix like 400mg worth of that #to drink after my caffeine pill and sometimes coffee #daily coffee would also be irresponsible but i did get one this morning and i accidentally took someone's latte with 3 shots #so i actually didn't have to bust open the preworkout. but usually i do #on days when i don't have to wake up at 6:15 i am fine without caffeine btw. because there is something wrong with me #speaking of them i'm almost out of caffeine pills 😦 in my defense i have had that bottle since 2020 so i'm not always like this #i just cannot wake up that early and function lol #me
