You know what? I take it back, Matthew isn't actually a nerd. Better yet, only people who have only a nebulous idea of what a nerd truly is could consider him one.
Because the thing is, true nerds are very visible and utterly unapologetic of their weirdness and interests in general. Like Alfred certainly is with the stuff he likes, there's no doubt about it. But Matthew... Matthew can be like that with people he knows, as his interactions with Japan and Cuba in canon show. However, I really don't see him behaving in such a way with the general public or people he doesn't know well, unless pushed by the circumstances. More than a nerd, Matthew is a shy, awkward wallflower who also happens to have many nerdy interests.
Even so, I still can't fully agree that he would be "classified" as a jock, so to speak. It's for the very same reason, actually – being as loud and visible as a jock would be, even if it's considered more socially acceptable, doesn't fit his personality. Matthew certainly is athletic as sportive, but not a jock.

movie recommendations/reviews?
(for the girls that get it)
FIGHT CLUB
„summary“ (without Spoilers):
When an insomniac entrepreneur meets the dubious Tyler Durden, the two form a cathartic underground violent association.
9/10
I loved it. The acting was on point and you can kinda feel the movie like the vibes, the plot twist is crazy. Funny but also serious at the same time. I like the way the narrator tells the story.
(I’m not good at reviewing movies 😭)
2. THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER
„Summary“ (without spoilers):
It follows Charlie during his freshman year of high school as he makes and loses friends, experiments with drugs and his sexuality, and comes to grips with his past.
9/10
loved loved loved it. Loved the main character, the style of the movie. Some Mentioned artists/bands in the movie: the smiths, the Beatles, david bowie, the smashing pumpkins.
(my heart broke tbh)
3. SPEAK
„Summary“ (without spoilers):
Melinda is a high school freshman the movie follows her as she navigates through the traumatic events that have left her mute.
8.5/10
I have watched it a year or two ago but I still love this movie. It’s a well made serious and relatable movie. It’s worth watching especially if you struggle with the same traumatic experience as the main character, Melinda.
4. interstella
„Summary“ (without spoilers):
A team is preparing to travel through a wormhole near Saturn, leading to a faraway galaxy that has three potentially habitable planets, each orbiting the supermassive blackhole called Gargantua. Cooper is asked by Dr Brand, the lead scientist, to pilot the crew due to past experience.
8/10-9/10
Interstella is such an interesting and intriguing movie. It’s a masterpiece and again I really liked the plottwist of this movie. It’s very well made and realistically movie.
