You can not tell me Wally won’t be a real bro for his friends if he found out reader has a crush on a certain someone.
Like Wally catch reader staring at someone for a long time with a soft smile on their face and Wally like “you like them don’t you”
And right there Wally turning into reader’s and his friend’s wing man
“Hey that friend there , they love home baked goods”
“Oh yeah random fact reader loves this color “
Wally just trying to play matchmaker
Ooooh, anon! This idea!! So very!! I like wingman Wally very much... I hadn't even thought of this!! Just one of the perks of doing these requests, you get so many fan interpretations and headcanons and whatnot... here's your headcanons anon!! Enjoy!!
(♡˙︶˙♡)
Welcome Home x Reader + Wingman/Matchmaker Wally Headcanons🏠☀️🛼🦴🍪🐛📨🦋🍎
Sally☀️
Wally suggesting you be cast as the lead in her plays
Trying to subconsciously convince her to do a romantic play
Setting you up on a stargazing date
Suggesting you write poetry for her
"Hey Sally I think y/n would love to hear you recite what you've been working on"
One day while you three were all outside a sudden burst of rain came down and Wally kinda ran off (he hates getting wet) but he noticed you and Sally still having fun while he was cowering under a tree or something
Julie🛼
Playing games together
Drawing with sidewalk chalk
Wally inviting you both over for a sleepover and rushing off to go do things like make popcorn to leave you alone
Probably brushing each others' hair at said sleepover
"I bet y/n can't beat you in this game"
Barnaby🦴
"Y/n likes x hotdog toppings, don't you, y/n?"
"Y/n's favorite kind of joke is x type. You should tell them some of those!"
Lounging around together
Falling asleep in a nice warm pile
Waking up and wondering where Wally went
Oh well... sleeping with Barnaby is cozy and now you have him all to yourself
Poppy🍪
Baking together
Wally telling her how brave you are
"Y/n's favorite type of baked good is x, why don't we make them some?"
Making cookies in cute shapes
Poppy getting anxious about something and Wally suggesting she ask you for advice
Howdy🐛
Hanging out with Wally and he suddenly remembers he's out of something, so he asks to visit the bugdega
Wally asking you to pick something up for him at the bugdega
Howdy mentioning it getting tough to work all day by himself so Wally suggests he ask you for help next time you come in
Eddie📨
Wally sending you mail so Eddie has an excuse to go to your house
Eddie eventually recognizing your handwriting and stamps
"Why don't you write a letter to Eddie"
"Oh, you said you've been to x place, haven't you? Y/n has been there too"
Doing crafts together and Wally purposefully holding back his art skills so Eddie will like yours
Frank🦋
Wally suggesting the same books to you both
"Y/n's favorite bug is x"
Lowkey trying to be annoying so he'll think you're better to hang out with (this may or may not work)
"Y/n had a question about this... why don't you meet them to discuss it?"
Looking at the buggies together (Wally would probably disappear like the Barnaby hcs)
Wally🍎
He'd be the last one to notice you having a crush on him
Thinking you need someone nice to be with and trying out each possibility in his head
Really wondering why no one seems to be a good match (everyone else can see the obvious crush you have)
Eventually you'd tell him or he'd figure it out and be like
"...Oohhhhhhhhh. I like you too y/n!"
Those are the headcanons I came up with! Hope you like them anon, thanks for requesting them!! They were fun to do!! I look forward to doing more in the future!! Much love!!

Hello can I ask for something? Please… How would Wally and his friends react to the human and albino reader?
(the reader is as white as snow, and he always has to go out with an umbrella so he doesn't get burned/hurt in the sun)
I did some research before writing I wasn’t ignoring you 😭
Also love this! I think it’s good. I didn’t kinda rush it I’m running off like two hours of sleep so🧍🏻also I know you referred to reader as ‘he’ but I wanted it to be gender neutral just so everyone is welcome. But you can change it if you want.
Also I think I’m going to draw this albino reader! I have an image in my head and you look adorable!!
But enjoy I hope it’s your to your expectations!

Wally was the first to notice a new house in his neighborhood and he just had to introduce himself, maybe ask you to have a picnic with him and his friends this afternoon.
“Okay, Home! I’m off to meet our new neighbor.” Wally gets creaks and taps are a response from Home as he slips on his cardigan. “That’s nice. What do you think they look like?”
Home opened its door, responding to his questions to go find out for himself and he was off after a short goodbye.
Walking along the colorful and cheerful neighborhood he makes it to the new house. It’s beautiful but—
It’s huge! The doorknob was far from his reach, Wally wasn’t intimidated, he thought this was the coolest house he’s ever seen besides Home.
Knocking on the tall and large door he waits patiently. All of a sudden he started to feel nervous? What if their new neighbor is as tall or more taller than his best friend Barnaby? Maybe Poppy?
The click of the door gained his attention and he looked up to be blinded by breaking heavenly light.
In actuality it was only you in your comfy, flow-y clothes looking confused at the air.
Wally was mesmerized. He didn’t think a human would ever come to this neighborhood let alone someone who wasn’t colored in. You are as pale as snow. Hair pale as well. The only color he could see were your eyes and was a pink-red reflection from the slight sun that was peeking through.
Snapping out of it for a second time he greets you. “Hello, neighbor! Nice to meet you!”
You jump at the voice and look down while holding your hand to your heart in shock. You see a short puppet smiling up at you with sleepy, low lidded eyes. “Oh! I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you. It’s really nice to meet you..”
“How rude of me! I’m Wally. Wally Darling.” He smiles.
You give a smile back and hold your hand out to shake his, being careful of the light. “It’s nice to meet you, Wally. I’m Y/n.”
What a lovely name. Fits perfectly. He looks at your hand then back at you before looking back at your hand. You had five fingers, not four. How interesting.
“Um…Wally? Is everything okay?” You're getting nervous, was it something you said?
“Oh no, not at all! It’s just that,” he gets a hold of your hand gently and feels it with his other hand, feeling the smoothness and tracing the lines. “I’ve—well not to sound rude but I’ve never seen a human before, let alone one that’s white as snow. Do all of you look like this?”
You shake your head and let out a chuckle. “No. We all come in different shapes and sizes as well as different colors. The world would be boring otherwise, don’t you think?”
Wally nods, still staring at your hand before remembering something. He lets go of your hand and looks up at you. “Oh right! I came here to invite you to a picnic my friends and I are having this afternoon, care to join us?”
You frown and immediately Wally mimics it. He doesn’t like your frown, it doesn’t suit you at all. “Afternoon? While the sun is out?”
“Is that a problem? Do you not like it?”
“It’s not that-“
“Please? Everyone would love to meet you!” He insisted, giving you a pleading face that no one can resist.
And you fall victim to this adorable pleading and sigh. “Oh alright. I’ll go, just don’t look at me like that.”
“Perfect! Meet us at the hill over there, okay? We’ll be waiting for you.”
And just like that gone. Well, might as well get ready.
Back with Wally he runs back to home, calls everyone for a neighborhood meeting at Poppy’s ASAP then runs out to his little electric toy car and races off to Poppy’s.
When he got there everyone was accounted for so he didn't waste time. “Okay I have an idea to make our new neighbor feel welcome!”
“Oh! Is it a party?” A blonde puppet cheers. “Wait! You’ve met them already? No fair!”
“Oh what do they look like?” A star puppet, Sally adds in.
“You’re not gonna believe me but they're white! Like a blank canvas.” Wally reveals his eyes wide in admiration.
“White as in the color? There’s no such thing.” A gray puppet, Frank shakes his head.
Wally tilts his head. “Well, why not? You’re gray, I’m yellow, we’re all different.”
“Yes but white is translucent-“
“Well I think that’s cool!” Sally cuts in with a smile, her rays spinning with excitement.
“Sally’s right. We shouldn’t be judgmental.” The big feathered puppet, Poppy also known as the mother of the neighborhood, scolded. This gets Frank mumbling and apologizing and getting pats on the shoulder from Eddie, the neighborhood’s postman.
“Well what's your idea, Wally?”
“Oh right!”
~~~skip to later that afternoon~~~
After getting ready to put on some sunscreen, you take a hold of your big sun hat. Which is a normal sun hat but it’s just a bit wider in diameter and has a full body length mesh cover. It’s thin enough to be lightweight and wind to pass through but thick enough to block you from the sun. With a condition like yours it can be pretty painful to get sunburn.
As well as your condition, your eyesight is not the greatest but that doesn’t scare you from walking confidently around a new place. It’s more fun that way. However looking at something for too long can cause your eyes to hurt a bit so you keep them busy by looking at literally everything.
On the way to the hill you see an archway and once walking through it you find a basket on the ground. Curious, you pick it up and look around. Unbeknown to you that the group was spying on you behind the bushes.
“Oh what if they don’t like it? It will all be ruined.”
“Relax, Poppy. The cookies were delicious!”
You open the basket to find cookies and a small note. Reading ‘I hope you like the cookies I baked. Welcome to the neighborhood! —Poppy.’ That’s so sweet! But why not send them to your home? Ignoring it, you keep it and continue forward.
“They look so cool!”
“I know right and look at their hat! They look like flow-y jellyfish.”
You pass another archway and see a bag of fruits, in it, another note. ‘Welcome to the neighborhood! Let’s be friends— Howdy.’
“Should I’ve gone with snacks?”
“No, it's perfect.”
“And healthy. Ha. Ha.”
You giggle at the note, now seeing a pattern and take the bag of fruits and on the bag was a logo called ‘howdy’s place.’ You place the bag inside the basket being careful with the cookies.
Next was a headband with horns, a drawing and a sheet of colorful stickers. Another note, this one was filled with stickers. ‘Welcome to your new home! Let’s have a sleepover okay?—Julie’
“The horns are a cute touch. You guys will be matching!”
“Awe thank you Sally! Do you want one too?”
“Yes!”
“Can I have one?”
“Sure, Wally!”
Moving on after securing the crafts inside the basket you find a letter this time, with some cute mail stamps and colorful envelopes. ‘Welcome home! Hope you feel welcomed— Eddie.’
“You have more of the envelopes?”
“Sure! I’ll send some over.”
Next, there was a small whale plush, really soft! ‘Whale-come home!—Barnaby.’ You laugh at the pun and give the plushie a squeeze, now holding it in your arms.
“Nailed it!”
“Good one, bud.”
“Thank you!”
You were almost to the hill. How many more gifts are there? You don’t think you can carry all this.
As you walk the rest follow, quietly of course. Other than Wally none of them have fully seen you and your jay covering you head to toe is making them curious by the second. You then find a small box with stars all over it, opening it you find a beaded bracelet and a note. ‘Hope you like it! Welcome to the neighborhood!!—Sally.’
You’re starting to get emotional, no one has ever done this for you. With your condition, your genetics, other people didn’t like it. For whatever reason you got teased about it, you never really know why.
Wally and the gang make it to the hill before you since you crouch down to re-arrange the item to fit in the basket as well as put on the bracelet Sally gifted you. The last two surprises they needed to be at the hill.
Frank leans down to Wally and whispers his concern. “Are you sure this will work?”
Wally hums and looks up at him before looking forward, waiting on you. “I’m sure of it.”
“Hey Barnaby! Help me with the sign?” Julie asks, her and Sally holding up the welcome home sign that Wally painted as well as all their small notes and signatures. It’s a gift for you, so you could hang it and remember this moment.
Back to you, you walk up the slope as a butterfly flaps around you. Timidly, you hold your hand out and the butterfly lands on your hand. Your hat becomes visible and that was Frank's cue to send the swarm of butterflies. He’s not a butterfly whisperer but he does know a lot about them.
In awe of the thousands of butterflies a cheerful bunch of voices ring in your ears. “Welcome home!!”
Once the butterflies flap away you get a clear view of the sign and everyone under it. To say the least you were speechless, they all did this for you?
“Is this all for me? Gee, I don’t know what to say, thank you!”
“Y/n, come join us. Don’t be shy.” Wally gestures you over and into the shade. “Why are you wearing that? We can’t see you.”
“Oh, sorry! I wear this to protect myself.” You explain, walking over and sitting down next to Wally all the rest are now fully interested in you.
“Protect yourself? From what exactly?” Eddie asks.
You are worried they will tease you like the rest and after a short silence, Wally reassures you that it’s okay. Believing him you took a deep breath and took your hat off.
Wally was right. You’re white as snow. Sally and Julie thought you were ice royalty with the flow-y clothes and hat acting as your crown. Or like a jar of white glitter shaking in the sunlight.
Barnaby thinks you’re cool! Really unique and one of a kind. He wants to try on your hat so bad. Eddie, Frank and Howdy think this as well, they see you as one of a kind and they may or may not want to try out your hat as well. What? They say it’s cool looking and they can only imagine what it looks like from the inside. Can you see? Does the wind feel nice? They wanna know.
Poppy was a little more nervous. She thought you were more fragile than you actually are. You looked like a porcelain doll to her and she’s afraid she’ll break you.
What caught their eye was that you are human! They’ve never seen one up close before. Were all like this? Maybe it’s a human thing? Do all five have fingers? You don’t have a tail or floppy ears, no feathers nor horns.
“Questions.”
“Hm?”
“The hat is supposed to protect you, is it to prevent you from breaking?”
You smile at Sally’s question and hand over your hat to Barnaby since the big beagle was making grabby hands at it. “It protects me from the sun, otherwise the sun can hurt me.”
“How? The sun is warm.”
“Well as you can tell I’m really pale,” you show your arm for them to see and you almost lose it when they lean forward to get a better look. “I was born with little to no melanin, which is a pigment the body makes to give the human color, like skin, eye and hair color.”
“So you were born without it, how sad!” Poppy frown.
“The sun is just too hard on my skin and will give me painful sunburns if I’m exposed to it.” You give her a reassuring smile, touched that they care so much.
“Wouldn’t you get hurt if you’re out here?” Howdy questions, taking the hat back from Barnaby and setting it on your head. You move the long mesh back to keep your face exposed and you shake your head, gesturing to the tree you were currently sitting under.
“The tree has enough shade to cover me, although still being out here for too long can still hurt me. This hat helps a lot.”
“That’s cool you can live with us. I don’t think I can, I love the sun.” Barnaby pats your head and plays with Julie and sally. Enjoying the sun. There were enough questions for today and now they were just relaxing under the sunlight.
Wally stays with you, holding an apple with care. “Did you like your welcome gifts?”
You turn to him and hum, nodding and smiling. “I loved them. Thank you.”
hiwo i would Love to hear more about your Very Specific Titans North Team i love them very much
Tumblr media
AH THANK YOU now some hc about them in so specific order:
Herald is the self proclaimed voice of reason except he's internally screaming all the time. Things were so much simpler on his own. Now he's got to keep Wally from teaching Jericho slang while also trying to make sure Red Star doesn't accidentally nuke the kitchen
Kole's entire color pallete is literally the trans flag and Jericho is the single Fruitiest Looking titan in any given room so when they get assigned to the same team she shakes him by the shoulders demanding they be best friends
Kid 👏 Flash 👏 Is 👏 Autistic 👏
They're all trying VERY HARD . Also B list Titans get B list villains. Punk and the hive got bodied at the brotherhood of evil battle and decided harassing titans north would be easier
Hint: it was not and punk still regularly lands on his face
Argents whole demeanor on the working as a team thing is kind of just "I hate you all" (affectionate)
It's a running joke that Private HIVE is the only villain Jericho really instigates and goes full beating on and it's revealed to have been his Cain instinct the whole time
He also beats up punk rocket a lot but that's for other reasons
I could talk about the Punk/Jericho rivalry too but I don't want to ramble
Red 👏 Star 👏 Is 👏 Autistic 👏
I make the rivalry joke abt kydflash a lot but it's rlly that Wally doesn't discern good and bad attention and Kyd sure has some Views™ that blew his little conservative Midwestern mind but he doesn't know how to deal with them
That vine that's like //intense bass boosted music, girl vaping in full leather// Wally: w o w
Wally 👏 Is 👏 Not 👏 A Jock👏
The Kole/Wally/Jericho friendship is a nightmare for everyone involved except them
Herald and Jericho have a cancelling effect on each other's anxiety
Jericho NEVER knows what's going on but he's HAPPY to be here anyway
Red Star ALWAYS knows what's going on and he wishes he didnt
There's a very dramatic episode about Jericho being kidnapped and it splits between the Titans tracking him down and Jericho tied to a chair for a Wilson Family Lunch
This is all very funny until Jericho's Actual Trauma comes up later and it takes a more Wilson Family Therapy turn
Kyd/Wally is a recurring theme with Wally being exposed to someone who doesn't think he should try to dampen his personality for the comfort of others and Kyd being exposed to someone who doesn't think anyone or anything is innately bad or monstrous
Accompanied by Wally being Wally and kyd being this 🤌 close at any given time to tackling him
Compared to Joey and Herald who are very obviously in love in the bg but in the calm non-Wally way
Wally's incident that gave him powers left him with lightning shaped scars on his left eye (which are actually the dual purpose of goggles. He's very hard of seeing in that eye)
Red Star is a direct foil to Joey's previous and toxic relationship to his brother Grant. Which in turn makes Grant take a harder look at his life choices
Red Star mostly just hangs with Jericho bc he doesn't have to talk as much and he prefers Jericho's quiet contentness over Wally and Argent trying to drag him into a scheme to harass Punk Rocket
Jericho teaches him to draw which is nice
A lot of the smaller details have a dual meaning. Wally almost always has purple and red bandaids on and Only purple and red bc Kyds version of apologizing is grumbling and patching him up
Everyone is aware of Wally's crush on kyd, including kyd, but it's mostly harmless and it's not like kyd is trying to take over the world. He's just here to annoy Wally and steal tarot cards
Little Robin and Momma Bird
 In honor of First Day of Spring 2021 which for comic fans is the birth date of Richard John-Grayson Wayne, Member of the Flying Graysons, Bruce Wayne’s Adopted Son, Barbara Gordon’s classmate, Wally West and Roy Harper’s best friend, Princess Koriand’r’s true love, the first Robin, The Boy Wonder, Leader and founding member of the Teen Titans, Nightwing, Protector of the City of Bludhaven, Renegade, Ex Apprentice of Slade Wilson, Agent 37, Big Brother to Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Cassandra Cain, Duke Thomas, and Damian Wayne, in varying times and places Father of Mar’i ‘Nightstar’ and Jacob ‘Jake’ Grayson and above all else and beyond all those titles, son of John Grayson and Mary Elizabeth Lloyd Grayson; here’s what I hope is something short and sweet.
 Now with long intro out of the way, the following is dedicated to @mothnem @lightdusk96 @hood-ex @thattimdrakeguy @tarisilmarwen @fireflyxrebel-writes @nightglider124 @nyxqueen97 @wisegirlandseaweedbrainforever @arabian-batboy @meara-eldestofthemall @robxstar @bluerene and so many others for being my friends in light of this occasion. Please like, comment and especially reblog for any corrections and constructive criticisms. It’ll be very appreciated.
  Please Enjoy....
 The sun gleaming and bright rays shone through the small trailer window, lighting the small bedroom with many bright colors of its own decorated throughout. The beige carpet, still an ever bit of simple yet practical use of being the floor, was littered with small shapes of varying sizes, almost all being made of plastic. In particular, these spread out toys were action figures, representing the recent phenomena of spandex clad and awe inspiring individuals that are the ‘Superman’ from Metropolis and the rest being merely the few robotic and unnatural opponents he faces in protecting the oppressed and those in need. The resident of this small bedroom was for all accounts a fan of Superman, something not too unprecedented given the caped champion’s crusades in correcting the wrongs and dangers Metropolis and the larger world face the best he can ever since his first day to the public.
   And given these are action figures of Superman, it shall be of no surprise said resident was indeed very young; a small acrobat of the famous Haly’s Circus currently asleep and softly snoring away in this room’s bed, blankets draped and covering almost every part of him, even his face. It’s his 7th birthday as of today, this wonderful first day of Spring. Now if only something or someone can get him awake to enjoy such a day. That’s where a certain Mrs. Mary Grayson enters our picture.
  As she gently pries open her son’s bedroom door as to not awaken him, clad only in a grey t-shirt and black pants as used for pajamas last night, Mary carefully trudges across the beige carpet towards the bed being occupied by said son. Sure, both her and him have slept in until nearly 9:30 am as of now since their family group, the Flying Graysons, have a day off from practice for today, but frankly had Dick remembered that today’s his birthday from earlier, he would been by now sneaking into his parents’ neighboring room, awaking them both his father John and her up about said day, probably  the best he can think of for a gentle reminder. But due to recent influx of performances across the West Coast, Dick lost count so now it was Mary’s turn to gently remind him and in the best way she knows how.
  As Mary’s bare feet carefully skirt around the action figures spread across the floor, even picking some up along the way (maybe reminding Dick to next time pick up his toys before bed will come in later tonight), she eventually reaches her son’s twin sized bed and the red, green and yellow pattern blanket that draped over the little guy overnight. In her right hand was a blue fine point marker pen with washable ink while her left gently leans to one end of the blanket where a small tuff of black hair sticks out. Gently caressing her left hand the black mass, Mary can hear a content giggle coming from under the blanket, no doubt her son feeling the familiar, loving motion John and her regularly do as parents can. On normal moments this happens, Dick would playfully push the hand ruffling his black hair away. This time, he just simply lightly giggles in his sleep. Mary was sort of banking the hair ruffling being enough to awaken her son to this bright and beautiful first day of Spring. As soon as her hand though stops with the affectionate ruffling and once more snores are heard coming from Dick, her lips turn into a soft yet mischievous smile; it was time for Plan B. Sure Enough, when looking over to the other end of the blanket and seeing her son’s own two feet, so far socked but with her there not for too long. That marker in her hand has its cap screw off.
  On some occasions when she was basically passed out from a long night on the trapeze, Mary wold wake to find the soles of her feet with scribbles and doodles all across, most of them featuring the Flying Graysons logo prominently. She almost immediately knew the culprit behind such drawing but often times just leaves it be and even walks on her two feet with drawing and all since the marker ink easily comes off so it was overall no big deal. Besides, her son was just having some harmless fun so why would she dare try ruining that; sure she was strict on some parts of his behavior but this ain’t one of the them. Now though, as she lightly tugs the two socks off her sleeping son as to not awake him, revealing two velvet soles and the ten toes and with her marker in hand, it was time for payback if you may.
  Starting with lightly drawing smiley faces on his big toes, Dick’s reaction was almost immediate as a slightly louder giggle comes from the blankets and his toes clench. Mary briefly backs off the marker until the toes relaxing and using her free hand, she lightly grabs unto the big ones, leaving his feet still. With that, she can proceed with the rest as sure enough, various other faces across his other toes are drawn along with flowers and even an elephant on the arch of his right foot. As for that last one, the giggling had reached its loudest and looking upward, Mary couldn’t help but smile at the results. Plan B was a success, Dick was awake and laughing his head off due to the scribbling.
   “Momma!” he yells between hearty giggles, “That tickles!”
   Mary grins a bit, “Oh really?”
  She continues with that elephant on Dick’s right foot, now holding him still with arm entrapping his ankles tightly, making sure he can’t pull his feet back from that blue marker as it continued its path. Though Mary notes that even then, Dick wouldn’t want to. He had not once told her to stop, indicating that he was enjoying this instead. Frankly, after a long time doing this to her, she couldn’t blame him. All Dick does on his part is lay his head on the pillows, the blankets off of him, allowing Mary to see him clad in a similar style of PJs to hers only with the coloring being a blue t shirt and grey sweat pants instead. To the left of him was his precious stuffed elephant Peanut; ever since being first given that on his 4th birthday, he keeps it close to him whenever going to bed. All this time afterwards, Mary still hasn’t been able in getting her son a second stuffed toy like Peanut much to her disappointment but hey that’s a thought for another time, she has one more spot to draw before she can move on for the rest of the day, the arch on Dick’s left foot.
  At first, Mary thought of drawing the Flying Graysons logo for the finishing touch but instead opts for a more casually yet fitting wording. With that in mind, her blue marker makes contact with the velvet of her son’s arch and starts its ink dripped path. By now, the 7 year old was still in full hysterics over his Momma’s drawings but he will admit, at least it was better waking up from his trapeze swinging dreams like this rather than the sun’s rays shining on him as it usually happens. Finally though, he feels the marker stop and opening his ocean blue eyes, sees his mother put the cap back on. Putting the marker away in her pocket, Mary places a soft kiss on her son’s forehead while giving him another hair ruffle. This time, now fully awake, Dick gently pushes her hand away.
  His blue eyes meet his mother’s own blue eyes and a wide smile stretches on his face.
  “Thanks Momma” he chirps happily in Romani Chib.
  Another motherly kiss, this time his cheek, “You’re welcome, Just wanted to make sure you didn’t forget about your special day today, My Little Robin”
  As Mary stands and makes her way back to the door, Dick stretches his arms, letting out a yawn from his mouth doing so.
  “Breakfast will be ready in 5 minutes” Mary states with a warm smile on her face.
  “Cereal, Momma?”
  “Any type you like that we have of course”
  “I’ll be there soon” Dick says, a wide grin on his face.
 Mary has a humming giggle of her own before making her own to the kitchen to no doubt prepare her son and her’s bowls for the day. Though of course, they were just getting started.
  Dick swings his feet to step off his bed and begin trudging to his breakfast, he briefly wonders on what his mother drew on him before putting the marker away. As such, flexing his leg to where he can see the soles and toes of his two feet, Dick smiles of all nice stuff Momma left. Indeed, there were flowers on the balls of his arches, goofy faces on each of his ten toes, what looks like a circus ball on his right heel, a trapeze bar on his left heel, a short yet cute elephant on right foot’s arch and at least the words on his left arch.
‘Happy 7th B-Day Little Robin, Love Momma’
  Now that was love from a mother alright. Dick certainly will never forget this. Now to get the table without stepping on his toys on the floor.
in support of wildfire relief, @peromy-march donated $10 and requested Gabriel/Kevin, fluff & tickling. Thank you for donating!
to get your own personalized fic, please see this post. (no longer taking prompts)
After a 'dinner' that had consisted of half a Reese's cheesecake, a shared pint of coffee Haagen-Dazs, and three vodka-soaked mudslides, Kevin wonders if it's possible to be drunk on sugar. There are a lot of chemicals working on his body right now; it seems like it could be a thing. Or he's just drunk. Or he's just having a sugar high. It's all very hard to tell.
"Did you know you get very quiet when you're gestating a food baby?" Gabriel says.
"I don't think food babies gestate," Kevin says. He rolls his head to the side and Gabriel's watching him, clearly entertained. "They just, like… digest. You're not supposed to digest babies."
"Well, maybe you aren't," Gabriel says, and Kevin makes a face at him. He was probably supposed to make a face, judging by how much bigger Gabriel's grin gets. He walks into this stuff, all the time. It'd be more annoying if he hadn't just decided to give up. Gabriel's an archangel, and even if he seems to be an archangel of screwing around, he's just… always gonna win. Kevin's okay with it. Mostly. Except when his gut feels as sore as this.
"I think the ice cream was a bad idea," Kevin says.
"Now that is blasphemy," Gabriel says, sitting up. He executes a sloppy sign of the cross in the air above Kevin's prone body. "Say forty-two Hail Marys, get an exorcist. No, wait, don't get an exorcist, the ones you'd call are six foot twenty and absolutely no fun."
Kevin snorts, can't help it. Even that jostles his belly, though, and he groans, flopping over onto his side. "Seriously," he says, "I'm gonna pop."
Gabriel leans in, his chin on his hand. "Tell me before you do, sweetcheeks," he says, unrepentant and smiling. "I don't want any prophet goop in my hair."
Kevin sighs, cupping his sore tummy. Gabriel really ought to feel more guilty except that, according to Dean at least, archangels didn't understand the concept of guilt. That might be true—Sam hadn't rolled his eyes, like he usually did when Dean dropped an aphorism—but either way, Gabriel could at least fake it. All of this was his idea. It's not like it's Kevin's fault that he's lactose intolerant. When cheesecake came up, it wasn't Kevin's fault that he'd never had any. When Gabriel's eyes lit up and he said, strange harmonics in his voice, you haven't?, it wasn't Kevin's fault that he got whisked away on angel wings to some random grocery store, and saddled with a shopping basket, and ordered to follow an unimaginably powerful idiot around like a long-suffering servant. He'd been promised over and over that angel powers would somehow put the lactose intolerance at bay. It may have, but now he's got other problems.
A warm hand settles on his belly, above where he's protectively holding it. "Okay, kiddo, you gotta be straight with me," Gabriel says. Kevin squints at him with one eye. "Cheesecake. How did it measure up? In the scheme of things."
"It was good," Kevin admits. "But it's going to kill me. Then you guys are just going to have to find another prophet, okay. You can visit me in heaven but if I die because of dairy desserts, I quit."
Gabriel hums. "You know, that's fair," he says, and Kevin drops his eye closed again, and sinks into the bed.
He has no idea where they are. Sam and Dean are probably going nuts—well, mostly Dean. Kevin's meant to be working on the tablet, and Gabriel's supposed to be helping, and there are probably lives on the line. There are always lives on the line. Wherever Gabriel flew them to, it's cold outside, and the hotel they're in is kinda shabby but the bed's soft, and Kevin's warm, and tired, and… sore, but at least it's sore for this reason and not because he got the crap kicked out of him by demons, so. It could be worse.
The hand on his belly moves in a slow, soft circle. "Poor little guy," Gabriel says, quietly. "All tuckered out."
"I'm not a puppy," Kevin mumbles. The hand on his belly feels nice.
"Says the puppy," Gabriel says, and Kevin sighs but Gabriel's still petting his belly, and it's nice. Comforting. The bed shifts and then there's warmth at his back, and the hand starts a steady, oh-so-gentle massage. Soothing. He tips his head and there's a tiny tickle of breath at the back of his ear. A little laugh. The hand drags up to his chest, and down again, petting him practically through his t-shirt, and Kevin basically melts into the bed. All those mudslides, it feels easy to melt.
He's maneuvered, a little. He lets it happen. His head pillowed on a deceptively strong arm; his arms tucked up out of the way, in front of him. His shirt—disappeared?—but strange things happen around Gabriel and a disappearing shirt certainly wouldn't be the weirdest thing this week. Let alone today. Just means the warm, soothing tummy-rub he's getting feels all the more warm and soothing, and he tips his face into Gabriel's bicep, tangles his fingers into Gabriel's other hand. Soft squeeze, there, and then a squeeze low on his belly. He makes a little protesting sound and gets a tiny pinch, on his hip. "Be good," Gabriel says, and, duh, Kevin's always good.
He stays still, though. Doesn't object. Gabriel hums, some song Kevin doesn't know because he doesn't really know anything that's not in the Yo Yo Ma catalogue, and his hand slips from Kevin's belly to his back. Dexterous fingertips start tracing shapes over his bare skin and he shivers, at first, since it's so unexpected, but it feels—nice. A little ticklish, a little odd, but nice. Gabriel's voice is deeper than he would've thought, humming. The fingertips trace over his shoulderblades, his spine. His neck, bent forward, and that's sensitive, makes him shiver again. Gabriel's finger gets a little firmer—a poked dot, and another next to it, and then a dragged semi-circle below them—smiley face, traced into his back. He giggles.
"Hey, there he is," Gabriel says, and Kevin presses his smile into Gabriel's arm. Gabriel draws more shapes, featherlight, but Kevin can't tell what most of them are meant to be. One's a cat, he thinks, but for the rest, they could be enochian script or norse runes or penis drawings. Most likely the last, considering who he's with, but then every once in a while Gabriel shows depths. Well. One depth. At least a shallow ditch, sometimes.
"Hey, puppy," Gabriel whispers, against the back of his ear.
That's sensitive, too. Kevin huffs, sleepy. "What?"
"How's that tummy feeling?"
Oh. He kind of forgot, in how nice his back is feeling. He stretches out and sighs, feeling liquid. "Better," he says, and Gabriel says, "Good," and tangles his fingers around Kevin's, and then pinches his side, hard.
"Ah!" Kevin yelps. All those nerves jump and yelp with him. "Oh—you dick!"
"No idea what you're talking about," Gabriel says, and locks Kevin's hands in his unnaturally strong grip and then flutters the fingers of his other hand over the soft skin on Kevin's ribs, setting everything to twitching, making Kevin laugh helplessly.
"Stop it," he hiccups, but Gabriel hooks his leg over Kevin's too, trapping him completely on his side, and sets to work: tickling his ribs, his hip, goosing his butt, making Kevin jump and yelp and make just the dorkiest dumbest noises.
"You want me to stop?" Gabriel says, still pinching and tweaking and flickering his nails torturously light, and Kevin's shuddering but he chatters out, "If you d-don't I'm gonna pee the bed," and Gabriel says, completely delighted, "Oh, puppy," and in a quick flip Kevin's on his back, his hands pinned above his head and Gabriel straddling his hips, and Kevin's got tears in his eyes from laughing but he can still see the grin on Gabriel's face.
"You suck," Kevin manages, trying to catch his breath.
"Only my favorites," Gabriel says, and Kevin's probably flushed already but he knows he gets redder, because that's—jeez.
He's getting more of that steady amusement. He has no idea why Gabriel finds him—he doesn't even know if interesting is the word. He feels like a toy, a little bit. Something Gabriel like playing with. A puppy, he thinks, and he really is red, now, feels like his face is flaming from forehead to chest.
Fingers tap down the middle of his chest to his belly. He tenses, expecting more tickles, but Gabriel just flattens his hand there, where Kevin's still a little swollen from all the sugar but at least doesn't hurt. His eyes are so strange. Pretty, kind of. That strange color, like the bourbon Dean's always drinking, but in the lamplight in here they're basically gold. Kevin tugs his hands, asking, and Gabriel lets go, watching his face. Kevin licks his lips and touches Gabriel's thighs, carefully. He's still all dressed—jeans, and a t-shirt advertising something called Wally World, and a dark brown overshirt that Kevin wishes he'd take off. It's hard, though, to ask for that. Kevin doesn't even know what he wants, when it comes to that. But—Gabriel's weirdly entertained by him, and weirdly indulgent, and so he says, trying to sound confident, "Do that thing to my back again," and when Gabriel raises his eyebrows: "It—felt nice."
"Oh, he's demanding now, is he?" Gabriel says, and Kevin shrugs. He gets a sort of bow—hard to bow, when you're straddling someone, but Gabriel manages it—and a florid, goofy, "The prophet's wish is my command," and while he's still rolling his eyes Gabriel lifts higher, on his knees, and sets his hands on Kevin's waist. He gets flipped shockingly fast, right there so he's flat on his front, and his belly presses a little uncomfortably against the bed, but a pillow appears beneath him and he folds his arms around it, pressing his cheek down with a sigh. That's better. That's—perfect.
Gabriel resettles, his thighs on either side of Kevin's hips and his weight settled right on Kevin's ass. It feels… good. Kevin tries not think about it any more detail than that.
Light fingers settle on his shoulderblades, gently tickling, lighting the nerves under his skin. "Okay," Gabriel says, quietly, tracing unknown shapes across his back. "Operation cheesecake was a success, I'd say. Next time I kidnap you, we'll go cheese tasting."
Kevin's melting again, but he frowns at that, and turns his head to peek over his shoulder. "People go cheese-tasting?" he says, dubious. There's an affronted sound, and a mad light appears in Gabriel's eye. Kevin bites his tongue, too late. Well, shit. He's going to have to call Sam, somehow. Apparently work on the tablet won't be starting up again, right away.
Fluffy February Day 4 - Halloween
Phew! I’m a little late, but I managed to make it while the day’s still here. This is day four of @fluffyfebruary and the prompt is Halloween.
Chapter 4: I’ll Be Yours
Pairing: Butch DeLoria/Male Lone Wanderer
Summary: During a Halloween party, Susie suggests that the group of teens play spin the bottle. Jamie isn't one for parties, isn't even one for socializing if he's honest with himself, and he definitely isn't excited to play this game. But Butch has been looking at him all night, and something in his heart tells him this might be different.
Ao3 Link
“Thanks for helping, Jamie,” Amata says from where she’s perched at the top of a step ladder hanging colorful streamers along the ceiling.
Jamie smiles up at her from his own task of making Halloween-themed snacks, “of course.”
She climbs down the ladder and brushes her hands off on the pants of her vault suit, looking up at her handiwork with an approving nod. Orange and purple streamers hang in delicate loops from the ceiling. Hanging among them are dainty origami bats – all handmade by Amata and Susie. They even found some old Christmas lights and strung them up along the walls, hoping that when the main lights were turned off it would create some kind of spooky atmosphere, even if they were red and green.
They’re preparing for their first ever Halloween party as ‘adults.’ Now that everyone in their class was eighteen, Amata had finally gotten her dad to cave and allow them to throw a party at the Mack’s apartment, since it was one of the largest. How she managed to pull it off, Jamie has no idea.
He finally finishes icing the last of his ghost-shaped cookies and walks over to join her, letting out an impressed whistle. “Looks great!” he says, and she smiles at him.
Susie and Wally walk out into the living room from the hallway – they’re wearing freshly pressed vault suits that are tailored a bit closer to their bodies than the normal ones, the blue and yellow fabric even more vivid than usual. Susie’s platinum hair is poker-straight and pulled back into a ponytail with a cherry red bow. Her lipstick matches the bow’s color perfectly. Wally’s hair is plain, but neatly combed – they look nice, but if Jamie’s honest, he doesn’t see how it’s supposed to be a costume.
Amata seems to think the same. “So… what are you guys going as again?” she asks, a sheepish smile on her face. Wally rolls his eyes and elbows Susie.
“I told you they wouldn’t get it!”
“Oh shut it, we just have to do the thing!” Susie pulls at her brother’s arm, who groans in response.
“FINE.” They both look at Jamie and Amata with their cheesiest smiles - Susie’s looking much more genuine than Wally’s – and give them a thumb’s up.
“Uh…” Jamie doesn’t see how that’s supposed to clear anything up for them.
“We’re Vault Boy and Vault Girl!” Susie snaps, crossing her arms. Wally huffs and shakes his head before walking over to the couch and plopping down, reaching into the pumpkin-shaped plastic bowl on the coffee table to shove some chips in his mouth.
“I could tell!” Amata says, trying to appease her. “You look great, Susie! I love the lipstick.” She grabs Jamie’s hand and twines their fingers together. “We have to go get our costumes ready now, but we’ll be right back. Party starts in thirty, right?”
Susie nods, changing into hostess mode once again. “It looks really good in here, by the way. You did a great job, Amata” She smiles and then says, as an afterthought, “uh and Jamie, too, I guess.”
---
Back in Amata’s room, she and Jamie busy themselves with changing into their costumes. Amata is dressed to the nines in a slim-fitting black dress with emerald green accents that she had sewn herself with her mother’s old machine. She has a pair of elbow-length black gloves made from leftover pantyhose and a pearl necklace around her neck that Jamie found in the lower levels of the vault. He kept the details of where he found it to himself. Her costume is pretty close to looking exactly like the original Mistress of Mystery, they've just taken a few creative liberties.
She’s sitting at her vanity, applying her makeup and curling her hair when she asks, “so, are you excited?” Jamie puts down the comic he’s reading and sits up on her bed. He’s already changed into his outfit – just a simple flannel, some jeans, aged brown leather boots that his dad had stowed away in his closet for some reason, and the closest thing they could find to a ten-gallon hat, which is currently around his neck and hanging at his back. A plastic pistol and a makeshift paper holster sit beside him.
“Yeah,” he settles with, trying his hardest to sound convincing. It’s not that he isn’t excited, he’s just nervous. He’s already kind of a social outcast, which is bad enough. What’s even worse is that Butch will be there, which was fine and normal, except for the fact that it wasn’t because just a last week they’d technically had their first kiss down in their hideout, which Jamie had freaked out over and literally ran away from, and then proceeded to pretend it never happened. Outside of work they’d been too busy to hang out recently, so this will be the first time he sees him in such a casual setting since. It’s not like he can ask Amata for advice – she doesn’t even know he’s friends with Butch for one and she’s unlikely to approve, and what if she asks about their hideout? It’s too risky, not to mention humiliating!
“Jamie!” Amata is snapping at him, a soft smile on her face. He blinks and laughs, feeling out of breath despite the fact that all his talking was in his head. What a mess.
“Hah, sorry. Just thinking. I’m kinda nervous, but you know how I am with people.” He shrugs, picking at his nails. Amata walks over and ruffles his hair.
“Hey, it’ll be fun!” she says, trying to sound encouraging. She takes his hands in hers and pulls him off the bed. “But if you get overwhelmed just let me know, we can just come back here and listen to something on the radio – I don’t mind.”
Jamie smiles at her and pulls her close, pressing a sweet kiss to the crown of her head. Man, he missed her.
---
It’s been about an hour and the party is going pretty well. The lights are all off aside from the string lights, which, as Amata predicted, create a pretty nice ambience. Everyone is chilling out and listening to music and talking amongst themselves. A few people are playing board games and enjoying snacks, some are dancing.
Jamie’s nerves have calmed a bit – Wally had the brilliant idea to bribe Stevie to leave them some beer, which Jamie is sipping on contentedly from his seat on the couch beside Freddie and Amata.
Everyone’s costumes turned out great too, Jamie thinks. Freddie came as a werewolf – he’d ripped the arms off his vault suit and used grease paint to draw brown hairs all over himself. He’d even given himself a little black dog nose and glued paper triangles to a headband that could pass as ears. It’s a little messy, but he put effort in.
Paul decided to be a vampire and he’s dressed almost as well as Amata, in a fancy white shirt, black slacks, and a tie – probably the same clothes he wore to prom. He has a long black and red cape wrapped around his shoulders. The fake teeth he’s wearing keep popping out of his mouth when he laughs, and Jamie grins at the sight of him fumbling to catch them across the room.
Butch is next to him, laughing his ass off, flask in hand. Apparently, he’s supposed to be a Greaser – he’s wearing his Tunnel Snake jacket and his hair is slicked into its usual pompadour. The only difference is he’s swapped out his vault suit for a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt, which he says are classic. He meets Jamie’s gaze from across the room and smirks, sticking his tongue out at the other boy. Jamie looks away quickly, his face red.
Christine is across from Amata on the other couch, chatting with Susie. She’s dressed in a long white sleeping gown with matching slippers. On her back, she has small, handmade angel wings. Their puffy feathers occasionally fall off and stick to every surface, leaving a trail all over the apartment wherever she goes.
Susie turns the radio down a bit then stands and claps to grab everyone’s attention. “Alright, ghouls and gals,” she giggles to herself, “I think it’s about time we started the real party!” Jamie quirks a brow at her and can’t help but notice Amata’s peeved expression.
Everyone who wasn’t already near the couches crowds around and Jamie jumps when he feels two hands clap down on his shoulders. Butch is leaning over the back of the couch, grinning down at him.
“Hey, Nosebleed,” he says with a smirk, leaning closer to his ear. “Cute costume. Who are ya, Calamity Jane?” He tips Jamie’s cowboy hat down into his face playfully.
It’s supposed to be a jab. They don’t typically act friendly in public; something still just feels off about that and they aren’t ready for their relationship to change that drastically. This feels different, however, and Jamie can’t help the smile that pulls at his lips. He hadn’t spoken to Butch all night, he wasn’t sure if the other boy would want him too, but somehow this felt like an invitation.
“Nice costume yourself,” he taunts. He can still feel the heat of the other boy’s body against the back of his neck even as Butch pulls away and stands up straight again. “You supposed to look like a knock-off James Dean?”
Susie clears her throat, shooting Jamie an impatient look. “Anyway, as I was saying,” she continues, the giddy smile returning to her face as she holds up an empty beer bottle. “We should play spin the bottle!”
Butch groans from behind him. “Come on, Susie, that’s such a kid’s game.”
Susie sticks her tongue out at him. “If you could let me finish! We’re going to play it with seven minutes in heaven rules, obviously. This isn’t middle school. We’re adults now.” She scoffs and rolls her eyes. “So, whoever it lands on gets to go into the hall closet. That more grown-up for you, Butch?”
Butch shrugs, “I guess.”
“I think it sounds fun!” Christine chimes in.” It’s harmless, anyway. Come on, let’s just play. Who knows if we’ll ever be allowed to have a party again?”
---
After moving some of the furniture and grabbing a few pillows for them to sit on they’re all crowded in a circle on the rug in the living room. Jamie is still next to Amata, then Freddie, Wally, Christine, Butch, Susie, and Paul. There’s eight of them, so the odds would be even, but Wally is related to both Christine and Susie – which he continues to complain is unfair.
“Oh shut it, Wally. If it lands on us, just spin again.” Susie snaps and sets the bottle in the middle of the circle. She leans back on her knees, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “So, actually, there’s two choices. You can either kiss whoever the bottle lands on in the circle publicly,” Christine interjects with a low ‘ooooooh’ and leans closer to Butch, who grins.
“Or!” Susie continues, “you can choose to go into the closet for seven minutes.”
Jamie’s gut twists uncomfortably. He really didn’t want to play this, anyway, let alone when he might be forced to watch Butch slobber on someone. But he’s here for Amata and for his dad, he guesses, who said it would be good for him to behave like a well-adjusted and social teenager for once.
They’re a few spins in and nothing incredible had happened. Wally spun on Susie twice before landing on Paul and the two went into the closet with their handheld games to pass the time. After, Christine landed on Freddie and chose a kiss – which was more of an awkward peck on the side of the mouth than anything else.
Butch rubs his hands together before leaning forward to spin the bottle, making eye contact with Jamie for a split second and shooting him a wink. Jamie’s heart leaps into his throat and he splutters mid drink, trying to hide his embarrassment behind a small cough.
The bottle spins around the circle once before slowing. For a split second, Jamie thinks it’s going to land on him, but it keeps going achingly slow past Paul and… lands on Susie. Christine claps, Amata wolf whistles, and Wally spits out a half-hearted threat about Butch touching his sister. Jamie sees Butch’s smile fade when he looks at Susie, but he catches himself quick and shoots her his most charming smirk.
“How’s about we hit the closet, babe?” he says, laying the greaser schtick on extra thick tonight. Susie blushes red as her bow and stands with him. They hold hands and both go down the hall and into the closet, the door closing softly behind them. Once they’re inside, Christine sets the egg timer they have to seven minutes and the murmur of conversation breaks out among the small group once again.
“How are you doing?” Amata nudges him gently. Jamie didn’t realize he’d just been staring at the bottle, his shoulders tense. He lets out a long sigh and shakes his limbs loose, leaning over to bump their shoulders together.
“I’m fine. This is fun, huh?” He says, trying to convince himself more than anything. He stares at the egg timer, trying not to imagine what could be happening in the closet. He looks back over at Amata and sees her smiling at him, a soft sadness behind her eyes – almost pity. Was he really that obvious?
“I’m gonna get another drink, want one?” he asks, standing up and stretching his arms above his head. Amata just lifts her bottle that isn’t even half empty, a sheepish smile on her face.
“No thanks.”
Jamie walks to the kitchen. He rubs his eyes, his face already feeling warm. He’d only had two, maybe three beers. He definitely isn’t even close to being as drunk as he was when he and Butch… he shakes the thoughts of that night out of his head, dropping his empty beer bottles into the garbage can with a bit more force than he’d intended.
Before grabbing another beer, Jamie pours himself a shot of vodka for good measure. Butch must have brought it from his mom’s stash. It burns like hell going down and Jamie almost gags – how could anyone drink this stuff?
“Yo, Jamie!” He hears Freddie call for him and he grabs his beer and heads back to the circle. Butch and Susie are back. Her lipstick is smudged and she’s fixing her ponytail while whispering excitedly to Christine. Butch doesn’t look much better – his hair slightly mussed up and a bit of cherry red still spread on the corner of his lip. Jamie thinks he might be sick.
The timer goes off just as he sits back down, and Paul walks out of the closet with Amata. He’s scrambling to put his vampire teeth back in his mouth, his cape crooked around his neck, and Amata’s face is flushed when she sits next to Jamie. He can’t help his snort and she slaps him on the shoulder.
“It’s your turn, spaz.” Wally says, kicking the bottle his way. He looks pissed, glaring at Butch. Jamie wonders if they’ll fight later because he played tonsil hockey with his sister. He almost hopes they do, just so Butch can get his ass kicked like he deserves.
Jamie reaches forward and gives the bottle a half-hearted spin, just wanting to get his turn over with as soon as possible. It twirls and lands immediately on Butch. He feels like he’s swallowed a rock.
Butch let’s out a theatric groan, “I ain’t kissin’ you, Nosebleed, so let’s just go to the closet and get this over with.” Jamie’s face is on fire and he slams his beer down on the floor.
“Get stuffed, Butch!” It’s my turn, not yours, so I choose what we do!” Butch quirks an eyebrow at him and barks out a laugh, joined by everyone in the circle – aside from Amata, who squeezes Jamie’s hand reassuringly.
“So, you’re sayin’ you wanna kiss the Butch-man?” Jamie thinks he’s going to die, then. Or kill Butch, and then die. Like a murder suicide. Him and his stupid fucking mouth; he didn’t even think about how that would sound.
“N-No!” Jamie practically yells, his voice a squeak. “Fuck you!” He stands, crossing his arms. “Let’s go, closet then. Get this over with before I kick your ass.” He storms to the closet. Butch gets to his feet and follows him with a smug confidence that Jamie wants to beat out of him.
Suddenly remembering who he’s dealing with Wally says, “Hey! No fighting in my closet. You get blood on my dad’s coats and I’ll pummel you both.” They both turn and simultaneously flip the other boy off before shouldering their way into the closet and slamming the door.
It’s more cramped inside than Jamie expected it to be. Darker, too. The darkness is perfectly fine with him – he doesn’t even want to look at Butch right now. Though, that doesn’t last long as his eyes adjust.
“Hey, Nosebleed,” Butch whispers, his voice and his smile infinitely softer than they were a moment ago. They’re close, really close and Jamie’s head is swimming. Their knees bump when they move and the heat of their bodies radiating through the small space is almost suffocating. He can just make out the details of Butch’s face – the handsome slope of his nose and the playful quirk of his lips. He tries to stay mad, but it’s hard. He wants to kiss him so bad.
“Fuck off,” Jamie breathes, but his aggression is lackluster. Butch’s breath is warm against his face and it smells sweet, like mint. Butch chuckles softly.
“Aw, you’re mad at me?” he coos, leaning in closer and practically pressing Jamie against the opposite wall. “You know I was just kidding, Jamie. C’mon, they don’t know what we do.”
Jamie gulps, wondering if Butch means them just hanging out together or if he’s referencing something more. “As if I’d take Susie’s sloppy seconds ,” he hisses, determined to hold his grudge. Ok, so maybe their first kiss did mean something. He’s pretty sure they’re both drunk again, but they definitely aren’t wasted like before – there’s absolutely no way for Butch to pass whatever happens off as a mistake later. IF something happens.
Butch pulls back a little and looks almost hurt. “Hey, it’s just a dumb game,” he says, tilting his head to try and catch Jamie’s gaze, who refuses to look at him. “I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, okay? You know how much of a crybaby she can be.”
“Well, I’m not a crybaby, so you can keep it in your pants,” Jamie snaps and crosses his arms, shooting Butch as convincing of a glare as he can manage. The other boy just rubs the back of his neck, his posture suddenly a bit more closed off.
“Dammit, Jamie, ya know that’s not what I mean!” Jamie’s heart is thundering in his ears and his chest is so, so tight. He swallows thickly. He does know what Butch means but fuck it if he isn’t going to make the other boy work for it.
“Maybe I don’t,” he states matter-of-factly. Butch clicks his tongue in annoyance and shoves his hands in his pockets. Jamie can feel the distance between them growing further and he panics, desperate to cling to whatever moment they’re having here.
“What do you want?” he asks finally, his voice barely a whisper as he offers Butch this olive branch. The intensity he finds in Butch’s gaze when their eyes meet almost knocks him over.
“You.” It’s a single word, spoken so softly that Jamie almost can’t hear it, but it steals his breath away, nonetheless. He doesn’t even stop to think when he reaches forward and grabs the lapels of Butch’s jacket. He pulls him close, his eyes closing as their lips crash together in a clumsy kiss. It’s just as good as the last, the other boy’s lips warm and inviting as he returns the gesture with enthusiasm.
Butch grabs the back of Jamie’s head, knocking his silly cowboy hat to the floor, and curls his fingers into his hair. Jamie grins into his mouth when Butch nips his lower lip and he grabs the collar of his shirt, playfully shoving the taller boy against the opposite wall.
“Ow!” Butch hisses when he hits his head off the shelf above them, pulling back for a second to make sure it wasn’t too loud. Jamie’s face goes white.
“Oh god, sorry!” he whispers, letting go and pulling back in embarrassment. Butch just laughs.
“S’fine,” he mumbles, unable to stop smiling. He reaches out and pulls Jamie close again, silencing the other boy’s concerns with his lips.
They continue like that for a while, breathless and excited, their tongues exploring each other’s mouths and their arms holding them close like their lives depend on it. It really does feel like heaven, Jamie thinks, an excited laugh escaping his chest.
They could have stayed there forever, lost in their own little world, but they’re interrupted by a sharp knock on the other side of the door. “Time’s up! You can leave hell now.” Wally is laughing out in the hallway.
Butch and Jamie jump apart, their chests heaving and their lips pink. Butch just grins at him, blue eyes shining with mischief. “Should we pretend we were fighting?”
Jamie laughs. “Sure, but that means you’ll have to admit that I won,” he teases, picking up his hat and turning to leave. Butch grabs his wrist and tugs Jamie back to him. There’s a very serious expression on his face all of a sudden and he's biting his lip like he's thinking before he reaches out to tilt Jamie’s chin up. He leans down and presses one more open-mouthed kiss to his lips and it feels almost desperate. Jamie’s breath is stolen away again, at least whatever was left of it, and when they part, he just stares, dumbfounded, at Butch’s adoring smile.
“Whatever you want, Nosebleed.”
The Story:
Henry was sitting on the Safe House's table, doodling as usual. He wasn't paying too much attetion to what he's doing too. He was just trying to pass time. This wasn't a habit from old times. When he was still young, he was paying enough and sometimes even too much attetion to his job. But when his job turned out as a dissapointment, it lost it's meaning for him. Now he wasn't even thinking about what he was drawing. The shapes and faces on the paper were nice looking, but they didn't had a meaning.
He quit thinking about stuff and looked around. Everything was calm since they saved Susie from getting killed by the İnk Demon. Then she started using her own name instead of 'Alice' and joined them in their way. She was doing fine with them. She was telling Henry what happend to the Studio in 30 years and how he was right about leaving.
"Sometimes...I wish I would've just left this place with Allison, Henry. Just like how you did.
She started looking at a wall. Thinking about how she will say this to him for a moment. Henry looked at her with a little confused face. Then she started looking at Henry again, gently holding his hands.
"Maybe....Maybe we can't save all of them, Henry. This place is like a void of insanity. We lost so many of our friends.
Just, knew this Henry; İf you can't save him, just let it go. He choose this path by himself..."
"He choose this path by himself..."
Henry softly mumbled and stand up. Allison and Susie were wandering around and Tom was trying to find out where's Wally for a while. He picked his axe and stepped outside of the Safe House.
"I can't just stay like this without doing anything."
He looked at his left and started walking throught the hallway. He walked in the halls for a while.
"Nothing new or interesting."
He moved to the doors, tried to open them again, but it didn't worked.
Then, he noticed a open door. He moved to the the door, and saw a table with a lot of papers on it. There was also a lot of ink on the ground with a very inky Bendy mask. He moved to the desk and picked one of the papers. Most of the papers were blank. Just some of them had some heart drawings and unreadable writings on them.
He looked at the paper closer, then he finally noticed it.
His own name was written on the paper with some hearts.
The handwriting was almost understandable on the top of the paper, then it was getting harder and harder to read.
He had a idea about who wrote them.
"It's him."
He screached around to see if he could find some more clues about what happened in the room and was that really him, but he couldn't find one.
He moved to the left side of the room. Started checking the writings on the wall, then the door suddenly closed with a loud noıse.
"W-Who's there?"
He looked at the door, trying to see the person who closed the door, but he couldn't.
He tried to walk closer to the door, but suddenly someone stopped him.
Two arms were hugging him from behind, not letting him leave. Henry tried to turn behind to see the person who was hugging him.
Instead of this, the stranger stopped hugging him and moved front of him.
"Joey?!"
It was him. But with a little differend appearance. He was wearing a long, black jacket, black pants and black glowes. He also had a white shirt and a black bowtie. His orange hair was now black and had the same shape with Bendy's head. He was keeping his head down, holding Henry's shoulders wuth a tight grip. He was slightly sobbing and trembling. Henry couldn't see his face.
The taller man hugged him and leaned his head to Henry's neck. Henry couldn't fight back. He didn't wanted to fight back too. Joey seemed pretty sick and tired. Of course, Joey was the man who trapped him inside this hell at first place. But he couldn't just walk away in this situtation.
He hugged the man back and started petting his hair. Moving his hand very gently and slow. Joey hugged the man tighter and dragged him to the floor. Henry softly growled, holding his head with his right hand. Joey also moved to the floor. He moved closer to Henry on his knees, leaned his head to his neck again. Henry tried to stand up, but Joey was a lot stronger then him. He looked at Joey, he wasn't trying to harm him or something like that. Henry started thinking he's overreachting. Joey was always like this anyways. He always liked physical contact.
But this time, it was a little differend. Joey seemed like he was half asleep. He was still shivering. Henry tried waking him up by calling his name for a few times, but it didn't worked.
"Joey? A-are you-"
He got cut off by Joey suddenly waking up. He tried to stand up, but he was too powerless.
"...Henry...."
He mumbled as he leaned to Henry's neck again. Henry seemed a little worried, but still not trying to run away.
He gently hold Henry's neck, trying to be slow to not scare him.
He suddenly bited Henry. Henry could feel his teeths, bleeding his neck and drinking his blood.
He suddenly started feeling sore. He was about to fall asleep. He tried staying awake, but Joey wasn't moving back. He was very thirsty after all. He just contioned sucking his blood.
"Blood?"
He was getting more awake with every single drop. He started feeling Henry's finally falling asleep.
"This is enough. Too much might harm him."
He started petting his head as he gently leaned back. He looked at Henry's neck, the place he bite had a inky, red pentagram on it.
He gently caressed Henry's cheek, then started carrying Henry bridal style. Kissing his forhead before leaving the room.
He didn't spend time with the halls, he just find a ink puddle and walked throught it.
•••
He stepped inside his office, gently placed Henry on his chair and sat on front of him. Waiting for him to wake up.
"The first time might be hard. He will get used to it eventually."
He started petting his hair again. The light Chestnut brown color of his hair...
It still didn't changed. Henry was always quite a charming type. His Golden brown eyes, pale skin, slim but somehow still strong body.
Joey find everything about him very charming.
He cut his thoughts when he noticed Henry, opening his eyes. He was still quite tired. He looked at the man with half opened eyes.
"Joey...?"
Joey smiled as Henry called his name. Henry slowly raised his hand and grabbed Joey's hand. Putting his hand on his cheek.
Joey's smile get even bigger. He touched the other man's bottom lip with his free hand.
Smut+Blood+Just don't read if you're f☆cking sensetive
Then he placed a kiss on his lips. Henry started feeling the gentle heat on his lips. He wasn't going too hard on him. Being very carefull with him, harming Henry was the last thing he wanted to do at the moment. He slowly moved back and looked at the Chestnut haired man. His hair was slightly falling falling on his face. His golden eyes were shining. A Rose red blush was covering his cheeks.
"You know, you look so much better when I mark you up~."
Joey licked his lips and put his fingers in Henry's mouth.
Henry was shocked by the sudden move, but the he slowly started relaxing and stared licking his fingers.
Joey chukled and started unbuttoning Henry's shirt. Looking at Henry's face while unbuttoning it.
His blush was covering almost his whole face now. He was softly gagging.
He unbottoned the last button and gently hold Henry's neck. He looked at his soft, pale skin. The marks he left on his body 30 years ago. Most of them were still there.
Somehow marks Joey left on his body weren't fading away. They were getting worse. There was a wine red mark on his right shoulder. It was literally shining on his pale skin. He looked at the marks, then he decided to get back to his work. He started sucking and biting every unmarked spot he saw, petting Henry's hair while marking him.
Henry started moaning even louder as he felt Joey's tongue. The heat was rising even faster on his body. He started breathing rapidly.
Joey contioned sucking and biting. Leaving red marks and bruises on here and there. He finally moved back and looked at Henry's body. He smiled and walked back and opened one of his drawes. He picked a small, silver knife and moved back to Henry. He looked at Henry's face again. He was quite terrified as he saw the knife. He tried talking, pleasing to him for not doing this again. But he got silenced by Joey, putting his fingers in Henry's mouth again. Henry started gagging and moaning even louder. He was trying to break free, but he couldn't.
Joey started traveling the knife on Henry's chest. Watching the blood coming off slowly.
Then, the knife buried in his skin. Blood was coming off even faster. He started breathing rapidly with the pain. He looked at Joey, he was just licking the blood peacefully. Henry tried getting off of the chair. But Joey suddenly stopped and looked back to his face. He started cutting Henry's cheek. A light blush covering his face. He was widely smiling.
He started looking directly in Henry's eyes.
Henry started feeling dizzy first, then a weird heat showed up and then he fell asleep.
would it be cool if bendy got turn into a human for a day and just be able to go outside without being in a disguise and just enjoying being human if only for a day while everyone else is just confuse on what the hell did this to bendy
Oooh! This is really cool! I’m not sure which AU you want this for, but I’m gonna do Hell’s Studio
Bendy’s human design is based on this one by @robsdoodlebook
———————————————————————–
Bendy woke up to screaming. Well, he didn’t open his eyes, but he was conscious now. It was Alice screaming. He knew that scream well enough by this point. He wasn’t sure why she was screaming, though. Maybe she’d seen a mouse or something. Whatever. This wasn’t his problem. It was his day off. He didn’t have to be anywhere so he wasn’t getting up until he was good and goddamn ready. He rolled over to go back to sleep, only to be poked in the face by splinters of wood.
“The fuck…?” He mumbled. Then his eyes snapped open. He’d swore. He’d swore and it hadn’t come out as a foghorn or some other kind of censoring. He sat up and looked down at himself.
He started screaming as well.
.
Alice had headed to Bendy’s office that morning to make sure he wasn’t sleeping in too late. Even though it was his day off, it would be bad for him to just sleep the day away. Not to mention, she wanted to get him to eat something. It was never fun when Bendy woke up hungry.
“Ben? You awake?” She knocked on the door. There was no response, only the gentle chainsaw rattle of Bendy’s snoring.
“I’ll take that as a no.” She sighed to herself and opened the door.
However, what she found inside the office wasn’t what she was expecting. Instead of Bendy curled up inside the drawer he slept in, there was a short and stocky human man sprawled out in the remains of the wooden drawer. Bendy’s blanket was draped over him, looking comically small. He did….sort of look like Bendy? He was small and had a similar body shape and black hair. He was wearing the clothes she’d last seen Bendy in as well, right down to the ugly cat tie. But…he was undeniably human. His skin was on the paler peach side, as though he didn’t go outside much, and the places where the splinters had cut him bled red. He actually looked a bit like Henry, now that she looked closer.
Alice froze in the doorway. She tried to feel for the telltale signature of Bendy’s ink. She, Bendy, and Boris could all sense each other’s presence since they were connected by the ink. But there was nothing. Either Bendy was gone or…He’d been disconnected from the ink.
She couldn’t stop herself. She started to scream.
The man stirred a bit, his face screwing up the way Bendy’s did when Alice disturbed him when he was trying to sleep. He rolled over, clearly intent upon going back to sleep. But upon turning over, he got some splinters in his cheek.
“The fuck…?” He muttered. His voice sounded exactly like Bendy’s, but deeper and less cartoony. Then he sat bolt upright and started screaming as well.
It didn’t take long for others to come running due to the screaming.
“What? What’s going on?” Joey looked frantic. “Is someone hurt?” Wally, Boris, and Henry were right behind him. It was Henry’s day off as well, so he’d only really dropped by to say hello to everyone. He had to go shopping for some Hanukkah presents for Ruth.
Alice couldn’t even form words. She just pointed at the man she thought might be Bendy. The man who might be Bendy was still screaming too, patting himself all over his body and pinching his arm as though he thought he’d wake up.
“What’s that guy doing in Bendy’s office?” Boris asked, his tail between his legs.
Joey’s eyes widened, and when he spoke his voice was quiet. “Bendy?”
“Wait, that’s Bendy?” Wally stuck his head around Joey. “But that’s a guy. Like, a human guy.”
“Joey, what’s goin’ on?” The man, Bendy, looked up at Joey. “Why am I like this?”
“I…I don’t know.” Joey stumbled toward him, kneeling in front of Bendy and starting to squish and pinch his cheeks. It didn’t seem like something that could happen. And yet…It was happening. This was Bendy. It had to be.
“So that…It is Bendy?” Alice asked.
“It is.” Joey nodded, stumbling up and heading to his desk. “I…How on Earth did this happen?”
“You didn’t do this?” Wally tilted his head to the side. It was fair to assume that when something like this happened Joey would be responsible, but Joey still flinched at the statement.
“I did not.” Joey shook his head as he dug through his drawers.
“Then something musta happened.” Wally gestured to Bendy. “‘Cause he did not look like that yesterday.”
“Huh. This is a new one.” Henry leaned on the door frame.
“Wait, that means you can go outside without a disguise!” Boris said, immediately perking up. “That’s so cool, Ben!” He picked Bendy up and spun him around in a big hug. Bendy paused, his fearful expression melting away.
“You’re right,” he said, slowly smiling. The one thing Bendy had never liked about being a toon was that he couldn’t really go out without a disguise. He liked the studio, sure, but it was hard not to go stir crazy when you had to stay in one place all the time. Alice routinely convinced Sammy to take her to Coney Island, but Bendy tended to be hesitant to leave, worried the studio would explode if he left.
“If you’re up for traveling, you can come with me to buy Hanukkah gifts for Ruth,” Henry said. “I could use some help.”
“Well, if you really need help.” Bendy slipped out of Boris’ arms, meandering over to lean on Henry with a languid smile. “I wouldn’t wanna hang around and worry you guys. Henry can take me off your hands for a little. Y’know. So you won’t worry.”
Alice couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Yep. This was definitely Bendy alright. Well, at least he seemed to be feeling better.
“Mm. Yes. Have fun.” Joey mumbled.
“Can you bring me back something?” Boris asked, ready to give Bendy the puppy dog eyes.
“Of course, Bo!” Bendy gave him a big grin. A dog toy would probably satisfy the wolf. That or another warm sweater. He liked sweaters.
“If you’re picking something up for him, get something for me too.” Alice folded her arms.
“What, like makeup or something?” Bendy frowned.
“Don’t patronize me.” Alice gave him an incredulous look.
“Get us both sweaters!” Boris’ tail started to wag. “No no! Get all three of us sweaters! Matching sweaters!”
“Well, I’ll see what I can do.” Bendy nodded in faux solemnity.
“Alright, come on, Ben.” Henry gently pulled Bendy away. “Let’s let them figure this out.”
He took Bendy out of the studio and into the parking lot where his car was.
“Man this is exciting,” Bendy said, getting into the passenger side. “I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to go out to a mall without a disguise!”
“It is kind of exciting.” Henry agreed. He’d gotten a spare coat out of the trunk for Bendy to wear since it was December and too cold for just a button-up shirt. The coat actually fit Bendy pretty well. He looked like he could have been Henry’s nephew.
It was strange. Henry had never considered what Bendy would look like as a flesh and blood human being. He certainly hadn’t expected Bendy would look like him. Was it because he’d created Bendy? Would all the toons look like him as humans? He’d made all of them after all.
“So…You’re getting Hanukkah presents for Ruth?”
“Huh?” Henry returned to reality upon hearing Bendy’s voice. The former toon was leaning against the passenger side window, intently watching the world outside the vehicle.
“You said you were getting Hanukkah presents for Ruth,” Bendy said. “Back at the studio.”
“Yeah, I did.” Henry nodded. “That pretty much explains it, I guess.”
“Hanukkah presents are small, right?” Bendy glanced back at him. “‘Cause you’re gettin’ 8 of ‘em, they’ve gotta be small.”
“That’s the idea, yeah.”
“What’re you thinking of getting her?”
“New colored pencils, maybe a sketchbook, some ribbons to put in her hair.”
“Sounds nice.” Bendy grinned.
He hadn’t been completely clear on Hanukkah when he’d first been brought into the world, but Henry and Grant had explained it to him and the others. Upon learning about Hanukkah, Bendy had pressed Joey to turn the company Christmas party into a holiday party so it could be more inclusive to those who didn’t celebrate Christmas. Thankfully, Henry had already asked Joey to do this back when they’d first started having a holiday party at the studio.
“Well, I’d hope so.” Henry laughed. "I just hope she hasn’t gotten tired of drawing.”
“What? Ruth? Get tired of drawing?” Bendy snorted derisively. “She’s your kid. She’s never gonna get tired of drawing.”
“Eh, you never know.” Henry shrugged slightly. “People change.” He got a wistful look on his face that started an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of Bendy’s stomach.
He tried not to think about the passage of time in relation to the humans of the studio. Ruth had been around 10 when he’d first been brought to life and she was coming up on 18 now. She was growing up. And Henry was growing older. Eventually….Eventually, Henry would die. They would all die. And Bendy would stay the same. Because toons didn’t age, toons didn’t die. Not really.
“I’m sorry.” Henry reached out and patted Bendy’s shoulder. “I probably made you sad.”
“It’s fine,” Bendy reassured him with a half-hearted smile. He didn’t want to think about the passage of time. He just wanted to enjoy this outing with Henry.
.
The shopping trip did end up being rather fun. It was still exciting for Bendy to be out and not have to worry about keeping a disguise on. It was just so exhilarating to be out with Henry like this. Sure, no one paid him any mind in his disguise due to toon logic, but now he truly was someone no one paid any mind to. He was…ordinary as a human. Unremarkable. And there was something so freeing about that. A few people did stop them, but that was just because they recognized Henry. Henry introduced Bendy to them as his nephew Benjamin. Bendy couldn’t help but feel a not-insignificant amount of glee at being introduced as Henry’s nephew.
He was rather sad when they had to return to the studio. Well, it had been fun while it lasted. Maybe he’d even be able to do this again. As they drove back to the studio, he held the three-pack of sweaters to his chest. He and Henry had found three matching sweaters with snowflakes on them. Purple for Alice, pink for Boris, and blue for Bendy. He was starting to fall asleep a bit, tired from the eventful day and full from all the food he’d eaten at the food court. He ended up falling asleep before they returned, meaning Henry had to carry him inside. Not that Henry minded.
For BATIM’s second anniversary, how could I not write up something super cute and sweet for the big, beasty, birthday boy! :D
Part of the son beast Bendy au that still needs a name, also includes an oc kid that’s friends with Bendy, and a new face from the studio I haven’t written into the au before!
On with the fic!
--
Henry looked at the calendar as he stepped into the kitchen, yawning as he looked at it. He lifted the bottom page, changing the month from January to February.
As he made his way to the coffee maker to get it started, his sleepy mind made him wonder what was happening this month. Hmm... Valentine’s Day was in fourteen days, but was there something before then?
There was stomping behind him and he turned, seeing Bendy come in, yawning loudly. Oh, isn’t the anniversary of the release of Bendy’s first distributed cartoon coming up? Henry nodded to himself, putting coffee grounds into the machine. Then he paused, eyes wide.
That’s right! Bendy’s anniversary was coming up! He looked over at the giant demon who pulled out the apple juice carton from the fridge to get a drink. Did Bendy even know that it was coming up? Technically it was his birthday, at least that’s what Henry use to joke around and say when the day would come up.
Bendy probably didn’t know, considering from what Henry’s seen, Joey probably did nothing to celebrate it. And it’s not like Bendy’s like his ‘rivals’, like Mickey Mouse and such, he doesn’t get a big celebration from people all over for his special day.
Well, Henry was gonna change that. Even if it wasn’t going to be anything huge, it would probably make the demonic toon very happy.
--
“Do you think we should invite people?” Linda asked as she folded towels, her husband changing the laundry for her. “I mean, he doesn’t know that many, but still.”
“It’s up to them if they want to come. It’s on the tenth, seems a little too soon for the Conner’s to come down, but Wally can probably come up.” Henry shrugged as he walked up to Linda. “Mary could probably spend some time playing with him while we get the party set up, so he’ll have fun with his little friend.”
“That sounds nice. Oh, what should we get him?”
Henry frowned as he thought. “Well... I’m not sure. Though I saw something the other day, you know the store with all the old stuff in it?” When Linda nodded, he continued. “Well, I saw something there that he might like. I’ll check out the store tomorrow, hopefully they’re still there. Hey, do you want to call the Conner’s to see if they can come? I’ll give Wally a call to see if he’ll visit.”
Linda smiled, giving a little nod. “Sure. I’ll need to make a run to the store soon, I’ve got a cake idea in mind for him. Might have to make two cakes, that’s a big mouth to feed. Literally.”
--
Bendy was curious as he watched his parental figures. They had been so secretive lately and he didn’t understand why. He made a small whine as he looked at the back door, sitting in the snow with Mary as she tried to work on the head of the snowman they were building.
“Do you wanna go inside?” The little girl asked, looking up at her friend. Bendy shrugged, but he kept looking at the door.
She wanted to say something so badly, Linda had told her yesterday to keep Bendy distracted for a while today so they could get the party set up and for the guests to arrive! But Bendy seemed to have figured out that something was going on.
Mary decided to distract him by hitting him with a snowball. Well, this kept Bendy occupied for a few minutes or so as he chased her about the yard, trying to drop loose snow on her as she laughed and threw snowballs at him.
The back door opened and Henry peeked out. “Bendy, it’s time to come in.”
The giant toon stopped, shaking the snow off of himself as he ran to the porch, missing the thumbs up that Mary gave Henry. The artist stepped aside, letting Bendy into the house, following him inside with the little girl.
Bendy looked around, making a curious sound. He could smell something delicious, like... chocolate and bacon. He also noted that he could hear whispering from the living room. He grinned in delight as several familiar faces came into view from the other room.
“Happy birthday, Bendy!” Three of the four people shouted, the other was more of a mumbled greeting.
The demon smiled until he realized that they said birthday. Birthday? He looked at Henry for answered. The man smiled, patting the demon’s arm. “Today’s the anniversary of when your very first distributed cartoon premiered. I’ve considered it your birthday for a long time now, and we felt like we should celebrate it with you.”
Bendy looked at Linday, Wally, Allison, Tom, Mary, and then Henry before his smile grew and he pulled the man into a tight hug. He grumbled what sounded like a thank you as he nuzzled Henry’s head. “Hahaha, you’re welcome, big guy. Now, let’s go to the living room, we’ve for your cake and presents there.”
“Yeah!” Wally grinned. “Come on, Bendy! I wanna get into those cakes we’ve got for ya!”
Stepping into the living room, Bendy found a small pile of presents by the couch, along with two cakes on the coffee table. On the wall above the couch was a banner that read ‘happy birthday’. Bendy sat himself on the ground, making a curious sound when he was handed something by Thomas. It was a paper crown, bright yellow in cover. He looked at the mechanic who grunted, moving to sit on the couch.
Bendy made a gurgling, laughing sound as he put it on his head, around one of his horns, as he looked at the cakes. One was simple, covered in chocolate frosting, the other was decorated though. It was clearly shaped like his cartoon form’s head, with the face, There was a candle in it that Allison lit. “Make a wish and blow out the candle, Bendy.” She smiled as she stood up straight.
Oh? What should he wish for? There were so many things he’d love to wish for, but... as corny as it sounds, he’s content with what he has now, with his life. Though he would like some bacon right now, he could smell it... He blew at the candle, blowing it out.
“Yay!” Mary happily clapped, looking up at her friend. “Now remember, you can’t tell anyone what ya wished for! It’s your secret!” She winked.
The demon nodded as he watched Linda cutting into the plain cake. “The one with the candle is for you, Bendy.” She said. “There’s a special surprise in it for you.”
Bendy tilted his head a bit as he picked carefully picked up the cake from the plate, biting into it. Bacon! It had a layer of crumbled bacon in the middle, this was amazing! He got his wish! He growled happily as he worked on eating the treat while Linda passed out cake slices to the others.
Once the cakes were eaten, and Bendy’s hands were cleaned up, it was time for presents. Allison and Tom had gotten Bendy some coloring and story books for some of his favorite cartoon characters, Mary had drawn him a cute drawing of Bendy. Wally had gotten Bendy some board games and a promise to take him to Coney Island when he can come to visit.
Linda had gotten him two sketch books and a notepad for drawing and writing. And Henry’s gift was the last one that Bendy opened. Carefully using his claws, Bendy tore the paper from around the small package before opening the box. He stared silently at the two items that looked up at him before he gently removed them.
One was an Alice Angel plush, the other a Boris the Wolf one. They were just like his Bendy one up on his bed, black and white, soft fabric, a little wore and faded with age... He gently squeezed the middles, hearing two squeaks.
“No way.” Wally spoke up as he looked at the toys.
“Henry, are those real? F-From the studio?” Allison asked as she looked at the animator.
“I saw these a while back,” Henry started, “at the antique store. They’re the real deal, Shawn’s work. They’re just like the Bendy plush toy he gave me when I still worked at the studio. I was shocked to find them, the guy I spoke to was surprised to find out that I created the characters, heh, gave me a good deal on them.”
Tom nodded. “Gotta use that advantage while ya still can. Not many people remember the show nowadays.”
“Yeah.” Henry looked at Bendy, who was still silently looking at the toys. “Bendy? You okay?”
Bendy lifted his head, his face was more damp than usual, oh, he was crying. Before Henry could say anything, he was swept up into another hug as Bendy nuzzled him, growling out his name as he tried to say thank you once more.
“H-heh, you’re welcome, bud.” Henry patted the crying demon’s back before smiling, returning the hug. “Happy birthday, Bendy.”
Terrors Of The Inky Past Prologue Part 2- New Life
A/N: hereee is part 2 of the four part prologue to my au!, sorry that this is coming out slightly longer than i intended it to be, i honestly didint know what else to put onto here, but yeah, sorry if this sounded like it doesn't make sense, making this took a real toll off of me while being sick, and i shouldn't even be on here while im sick af but oof i needed to finish this cause i need to at leash do something about my au oofs. also, this was made in april 11th and finished on may 21st
"if one were to perish within battle or were to die in a accident, how would you all feel? would you feel upset, sad, or even angry? what if it was a loved one? what if it was someone you really care for? what if.... you could bring them back from the dead with a little help...?" --- White, white and bright lights were all that he could see, he covers his face as he groans, the figure emitting a "ughhhh..." as he looks around, seeing a tall but lanky figure, the taller figure turns around, and knelt down to the other's level, and held out it's hand, the smaller average size figure looks down at the hand, and then back at the other, before slowly reaching out, and taking the other's hand, the tall lanky figure smiled as the two were fused into one, followed by a slow flashing explosion, Henry wakes up with a loud gasp as he jolts from bed, sweating as he held his chest, breathing as he pants, he looks at himself, his eyes widening "W-wait... w....what.... hap-" he turns around to see the door opening, and his eyes widen at who he saw, a familiar figure, a woman in her early 30s, having dark colored hair, with blue teal eyes, and having a gown on, Linda yawned as she rubbed her eyes "Henry...? why are you up so ear- huh?!" she was cut off by the other hugging her tightly, henry, softly whimpered as linda looked, and felt like she understood "Hey... hey it was only a nightmare okay?" she said as she rubbed his head "come on, you don't wanna be like that for the studios tomorrow right?" she said as henry's eyes widen, "wait... studio?" he asked as she nodded "yeah, remember? you promised joey you'd help him with something about bendy?" she asked as henry blinked, before a foggy memory opened up in his head as he rubbed his head "uh, yeah, yeah um what time is it?" he asked as she looked at the clock "oh! well you woke up from your nightmare just in time, the studio opens in a few hours, should be enough time for you to get ready!" she said as henry nodded, before he broke the hug, and watched her walk off to get ready for her own job, as henry can finally breathe as he rubs his own head, he feels like his whole body was hurting "ughhhh...." he groans as he rubs his own head, he decided to see if he looked any different, he shrugged and decided to see if anything was different, taking a moment as he walked into the bathroom, he decided to look at himself in the mirror, and he stares at his own reflection in shock. he noticed that he looked much younger than before, maybe around his late 20s, he noticed how he had a light stubble and brownish colored hair, with a orange like color near the top of it, even his hair color was different than he remembered, including his eyes, they were a nice, calm peaceful shade of green, he also looked more taller than he remembered, being around 5'7ish feet, though he somehow knew he was gonna get much taller in the near future for some reason, he looks at his own body shape, it looked much more healthy and althetic than worn and tired like he was in the studio, he then began to think back to when he and bendy were fused together, he stares in shock as he remembers joey pulling the lever "he.... he used the failsafe... he did it on purpose..... im.... im the only one who knows what happen, i don't even know if joey even knows it or what he even looks like.... god.... god damn it" he rubs his own head, he should feel glad that he's not in the loop anymore but, he's not, he's gonna be right back in the studio BEFORE it went to hell, and before the toons even existed, but for some odd reason he just knows that today's gonna be different for him, he just has a slight feeling about it, none the less he decides to get ready to go to the studio as he starts to think about what exactly happened. a couple of hours later henry reached the studios, he looks to see the difference between that building and the house as he tries to think about what the different was... aside from the fact that it was a actual studios and not a story build place in a house, before he could even question it, he yelps as he felt someone touch his shoulder "oh! sorry there henry old chum!" a familiar voice said as henry turns around, and his eyes widen, standing there, was none other than joey drew, instead of the old frail man he saw with a wheelchair and cane, he was more younger, with smooth, but slightly messy jet black hair, he wore a blue shirr, with a red vest, and sported a bowtie, along with cartoon like gloves that he made himself, his pants were a brownish color, and his shoes looking fancy, overall he had a snazzy looking appearance with his dark jacket on him, it did'int help that henry could see his strange yellow dark glasses, overall he was a bit frighten to see a more younger joey, he noticed as he takes his glasses off, his green and purple colored eyes staring at him with a confused look as his eyebrows furrowed "you alright henry? i haven't seen you this upset ever since halloween, oh now that was a fun time! sammy sure scared you good did he?" he said as he chuckles a bit. The Cartoonist on the other hand, was far but joining in, he was shocked to see this, but he does raise his own eyebrows at that, before somehow a memory formed up on his head "oh.... heh yeah, sammy did scared me pretty good did he?" he said as joey seem to laugh "ya darn right he did! now come on pal, we got some work to do!" he said as he unlocked the door, and the two walked into the studio. henry was..... shocked to see the inside of the studio, the walls were different, and cleaner, and it seems to be more lively, and the joey drew's studio logo wasnt even there, it said instead "HENRY AND JOEY DREW'S STUDIOS" somehow, he smiled at that, he looks at the nice reddish color the walls had, and how the style of the wood seems to be more like a oak color, joey seems to notice "enjoying the style change henry? i knew ya would, wally and thomas are good at doing their job, but norman helped out with the new logo change, it was fun seeing all of them work together, getting along, you should of seen it" he said as henry looked over, nodding "yeah, it does look good, you and the others seem to really did a good job with it" he said as joey seemed to grin "Well we got some time to kill before the others get here, wanna see what wonders we can come up with today?" he said as the cartoonist nodded, while chuckling, actually slightly forgetting about why he was so scared in the first place "heh, sure then joe, let's see what we can find out today" he said as the two started to chat while walking, all while henry was attempting to see what other differences he could find in the studio. a couple of hours later have passed as some more people got in to do their jobs, henry greeted sammy and jack, who were chatting, before they noticed henry, sammy looked taller than almost anyone in the studio, having a height of 6 feet, his hair having a mix of brown and blonde, his blue eyes darting those henry as he putted his hands in his brown jacket's pockets, tapping his dark colored shoes on the ground as jack notices henry too, he was the shortest, and possibly the youngest, being around 19 years old, and having a height of only 5 feet, having messy brownish hair, and wearing a nice hat, his joyful green eyes beaming with joy as he smiles at henry, before the two both waved as henry went over to them, with sammy being the first to speak out, his voice giving henry some familiar vibes "heya there henry, your here early for a change?" sammy asked as the cartoonist shrugged, but nodded "i guess so, just giving you two a heads up that joey wanted all of us over for a meeting again" he said as he nodded, while jack groaned "again? why do we do these things?" he said, before henry chuckled, even though jack was around 19, his voice sounded so much like a 30 year old man sometimes so it was quite funny to hear jack speak sometimes, which is why he's mainly slightly mute. still though the animator shrugged "he makes the rules, not me" he said as the three went their own ways for now, henry still had some time to kill before the meeting start so he went off to find his work desk, it was right where he remembered it being, he looks off to see that there was no new room when he left, which he was kinda glad for, he tries to remember what else was going on as he sat down, and just started drawing, halfway throughout he stops as he felt someone pressed a hand on his shoulder "hey there pal" a familiar voice said as henry turns around, to see norman, his eyes silently widen as he looks the same as he remembered him before he left the studios, same tall posture, same black cloths, same grey like hair, and of course, the same blue and yellow like eyes he seemed to have, norman smiled "what's wrong? did i scare ya? i thought i tolds ya that i sees everything henry" he said as henry chuckled, before something recalled in his head, a memory from when he heard about the tape "THeY dOn'T eVeN kNoW WhEn Im WaTChINg, eVeN when Im RIgHt BEhIND thEm!" henry started shivering but he was snapped back to reality when norman snaps his own fingers. the African American stares with a worried look "you alright there pal?" he asked as henry started breathing, taking a deep breathe as he gives him a thumbs up with a nervous smile "j...just peachy..." he said as the other seemed to smile softly "Well what's ya working on?" he asked him as henry looked at what he was doing "just, drawing i guess" he said as he does some finishing touches "you know, i never could stand the actual design of that cartoon devil, i don't know he seems... well uh.... naked" he said as henry shrugged "joey came up with the idea, not me" he said as he hums a bit, with norman looking rather nervous "well... it's not my own place to judge but have you ever.... thought about giving the little guy more... jazz?" he stated, to which the other looked up, actually surprised "um... well.... no really...." he said as he remembered something "joey never liked the old concept design we made for bendy... but i did" he said as norman sighed "no no no not that, i mean something new! something... original almost!" henry's eyebrows raised but he was interested "like, think about this, we have a upcoming show that's been getting a lot of fans, the only thing that parents complain about is that he doesnt have any other clothes so... why not give him some?" he said as henry's eyes widen "...norman.... your a genius" henry said as norman grinned "i know i am~" he said as the two chuckled, and henry began his work. Throughout half the whole ordeal of the drawing, norman watched as henry did his best to make a new, original, design of bendy, with norman grinning as he noticed how excited henry was as he chuckled a bit, eventually the animator was finished with the design as he showed it to norman as he inspected it, and the African American's eyes widen in shock and amazement, the design surely was VERY different than the original, for starters bendy looked more taller than he did, and unlike the other design there were two things, one is that he had a neck, and a tail, and the other was that he had actual, colored clothing, it was a jet black hoodie, with a red hood to go with it as he noticed the different gloves, they sported a green color, and he also had blue jeans on as well, the thing that norman liked the best besides the smooth head and horn design, were the shoes, they looked like tapshoes, overall the design was perfect, and he even chuckled at the little bendy badge too, and he noticed the bowtie, which raised his eyebrow "huh? you still gave him the bowtie?" henry seems to rub the back of his head "w-well uh if i ever plan on showing this to joey it's gonna have at leash one thing from the original design yeah?" he said as norman shrugged, but laughed "i guess so, but over all, the design is perfect, and unique, it really looks original, and a perfect design for a perfect show" he said as henry seem to smile "you really think so?" he said as norman grinned "i don't think so henry, i KNOW so" he said to him as henry smiled, and he hugged norman, with the other smiling and returning the hug "thanks pal..." he said as norman chuckled "no problem, anything for a friend" he said as the two parted ways, with norman going back to do whatever he was doing, and henry to go show joey the design. As Henry went to joey's office, he noticed that the other was getting ready to say his speech, joey perks up seeing henry "ah! henry! what brings you here this early before the meeting starts?" he asked as henry seem to nervously smile "w-well uh mister d-d- i mean joey, i was, doing something and norman gave me a really good idea" he said as joey raises a eyebrow "oh? and what is this idea?" he asks as henry seems to gulp, as he shows him the design, with joey looking it over, from top to bottom, as he gives henry a look "henry, this..., this design is..... is..." he smiled "perfect!" he said as henry actually perks up "r-really?" he said as he smiled "of course it is! im glad that you decided to show this to me! maybe someday we'll have him wear this kind of outfit" he said as henry seems to nod, but flinch slightly, now a bit upset that joey was still going to use the original design that they both made together as the official "is that all you wanted to ask me? the meeting starts in a couple of minutes" he said as henry nodded, as he grabbed the drawing "yeah... that's all, see ya later boss" he said as he walks out, as joey ponders on the sudden change in his friend's behavior, but he shrugs it off, he had more important things to worry about right now as he hums a bit, looking over a picture of him and a young boy, as he softly frowns at it, before sighing, and picking up his glasses, putting them on as he goes to where the meeting will take place. Henry sat down next to wally as the others were already there, henry noticed shawn, who seems to be humming as he looks over at henry, and waves, as henry waves back, next he noticed grant and thomas who seem to be having some small talk, before he notices susie talking with sammy, henry seems to smile slightly, it was... nice seeing them not as monsters for a change, he didint know what failsafe joey used but... maybe he could get used to this lifestyle, before long everyone grew silent as joey entered the room and went to start his speech, it was pretty much explaining some changes here and there, some minor stuff, along with adding a amusement park soon to the studios, as well as expanding it, making it big enough to house a lot of things, he even went on to explain that someday, there will be actual toons roaming around the studios, throughout most of the speech only henry and wally noticed this but joey seemed to act, a lot more different during the speech his tone was different, and the way he speaking sounded like he was 100% all of this would happen, the cartoonist started to get slight flashbacks to the loops again as he grumbled softly, rubbing his head, before long the meeting was over as joey said he needed to do something, as the others went off to do their breaks, wally was having a conversation with henry "man im telling ya, mister drew seems to be acting a lot different lately, more than usual, it's like he was so sure that all of this would happen, now im not complaining but like, i don't this it's that healthly for him to be... well that much obessessed over it, what do you think henry..... henry?" he looked over to see that the cartoonist was day-dreaming, or more like thinking heavily, henry was recalling more 'memories' he was having from his new life, before wally snaps his fingers, “mister Jarvis, you don’t look too good are ya sure your alright?” henry’s thoughts went into reality after hearing wally’s voice, remembering that boris snapped his fingers at one point to break henry out of a trance in the studios, the young animator smiling slightly at wally “y-yeah im a-alright” he said as wally stares, confused “Ya sure…. you’ve been real quiet ever since joey announced this whole bringing to cartoons life thing… I mean the moment he said that it’s like you experienced it before” he said as henry suddenly froze again, remembering bits and pieces once again as he started shivering, wally noticing as he looked around “Uh…… henry?” he snapped his fingers “ay! come on! If ya keep on acting like this im outta here!” he said as henry blinked, he groaned as he rubbed his head, before wally seems to chuckle "hey uh, remember that one time during your daughter's birthday i dressed up like the easter bunny? she was out of her own freaking mind, im telling ya if she didint get off of me sooner, i would of been outta there!" he said as henry, softly chuckles, with wally grinning "see! all ya needed was a little laugh and a smile! im telling ya henry, this whole thing is strange but, it's nice to know im not the only one who sees it!" he said as henry nodded, before glancing off at the distance, wondering how on earth did he get a daughter, when he blinks, recalling that he had a daughter and a son before, when he looks back at wally with a blank look “im.. gonna take a break, tell joey im going home early” he said as he got up and walked off as wally blinks “h-hey wait joey never lets us walk out of here early!” he said as henry paid no mind, wally blinking before he sighed “man, sometimes he can be strange like mister drew... but im not complaining, he writes the checks" wally said as he took a sip from his coffee. After the small talk he had with wally, henry huffs softly as he walks through the halls of the studio, slightly trying to remember what was going on, he had very few memories of what happened during the last loop so everything was slightly a fuzz, he did remember a big blur, and then he was here, in a different year, and now in a different universe but… he still have some sort of memories from the loops, the cartoonist humming softly to himself as he putted his hands in his pockets, he was about to go to his desk, before he suddenly  hears… crying? henry raised a eyebrow as he listened in to the crying, before his eyes widen, it was joey’s crying, he hurries over to the room and saw the man himself, in the ink machine room, holding a frail child covered in ink, he instantly knew who the child was as joey turned around, with tears in his eyes as he stares at henry, his eyes staring into his as henry saw how much sadness were in them. “h-h-he was a-alive h-henry… h-he w-was a-a-alive f-for 1-10 m-minutes h-henry….. h-he…. h-he remembered….” joey said, hiccuping while tears were streaming down his eyes, he wasn't wearing his glasses, and he had a smile on his face, a smile that matched more akin to bendy’s but, it was a sad one as henry reached out, before joey hugged henry, crying into his shoulders as henry somehow remembered that they tried bringing bendy to life before, for a certain amount of times, all the attempts failing, henry even had a few tears rolling down his eyes as he hears joey's sobbing as he tried his best to comfort him “i-i missed him s-so much h-henry, i-i-i cant k-keep s-seeing h-him d-die over and o-over a-again! i-i need m-my s-son back! i-i need j-josh!” he said as he cried as henry looks over at the motionless body as henry shushed joey, patting his back. “it’s okay joey….. someday… you’ll see him again.. i know you will…” he said as joey hiccuped as he clutched his shoulders "…o-one more..t-try..h-henry…. j-just o-one… m-more c-chance….“ henry looks at him like he was crazy “w…wait what…?” he said as joey gives him a pleading expression as more tears seem to drip and shed down his eyes "h-henry please! j-just o-one more t-try! i-i need to d-do this! i-if i-it works t-then m-my s-son will c-come back! a-and o-our creation w-will f-finally b-be a-alive!… p….please….” he said as he sobbed some more, before henry stares, before he patted his shoulder, joey looked up at him as henry gave him a smile “…sure pal, anything for you” he said as joey sniffled, before giving him a broken smile "t...thank you my friend......i'll.... i'll clean this up, tell thomas to help me with the last attempt please" he said as henry nodded "yeah... i will" he said as he got up and walked off, before he turns back to joey, seeing him whimpering slightly, henry stares sadly, before he sighs and decides not to tell him about leaving early, he needed to make sure he was alright as he went off to tell thomas, as joey looked at the motionless body, tears swelling up in his eyes "what did i do wrong..... what do i have to do in order to get this right.... i just miss you so much son......." he said as he rubs his eyes, sniffling slightly as he just waits now for thomas to show up. after a few hours and after thomas came to clean up the mess, everyone was heading home as joey stayed back for a few more minutes, doing some research on his computer, before he looks at something that caught his eye, clicking the link and looking at a list, his eyes suddenly widen, as a smile formed on his face, this could be just what he needed to bring something back from the dead, he writes the items down on a piece of paper, taking a mental note to let henry know tomorrow as he grinned, this was it, this could be the last shot he has at trying to bring his son back from the dead "don't worry bucko.... daddy's gonna make sure your coming back alive" he said as he looks at the picture of him with his son, smiling softly at it as he takes off his glasses, rubbing his eyes slightly as he putted them back on, and shutted down his computer, getting ready to go home for the night, henry was on his way home when he stops for a moment, looking at the night sky as he stops at a stop sign while driving, the cartoonist looking at the beautiful stars with a smile, before he keeps driving back to his house, maybe he could get use to this new life he has, at leash he wasnt in a never ending story anymore, henry turns on the radio as he listens and hums to a song as he seems to get slightly lost in it, the song he was listening too was titled "country roads" as he hummed to it, driving back to his house, he just hoped that joey would be alright, but somehow, deep down in him, he has a feeling that it's not gonna be happy for long, he just hopes that day would never come.
The Waterlogged Docter
A Astoria: Fate’s Kiss inspired Fic I blame Leah. Not only was she the start of all this, she helped write some of it too. So sit back, relax, grab a bag of popcorn, and hopefully enjoy this new adventure!
It all started out as just another day. The end of summer was fast approaching but the undulating heat still refused to give way. The sounds of cicadas and a melancholic piano could be heard drifting through the marshy forest. Meanwhile lazy moss balls and fat turtles could be seen bobbing in the cool lake waters. Every so often the wind would shake the leaves in the trees, and animals could be heard rustling all around, a reminder that the forest was full of life.
Yet the serenity of the space was broken by a fast paced young couple making their way along a well-worn stone path. The shadows cast by the towering pines accented the anxiousness and worry in the female’s eyes. She tightly held on to the accompanying male’s hand as they made their way forward. Their footsteps simply faded into the forest around them, as if isolating them from the world. Words of doubt followed by reassuring promises could be heard passing between the two as they continued on.
Breaking past the tree line they quickly shaded their eyes from the sudden increase of sunlight. Once their eyes were adjusted they were momentarily stunned by the sight before them. A small earthen shack with large stain glass windows and a slow moving water wheel, sat nestled between a beautiful lake and a large towering medical garden. A young satyr in a large straw hat, bright green apron, and matching gloves could be seen diligently weaving his way through the garden pulling weeds. As if sensing the new arrivals he quickly stood up and stretched, his deep green eyes zeroing in on the pair before him.
“Yo Doc! Ya got yourself some new patients!” A jarringly strong southern accent left his lips as he yelled towards the house. Brushing the dirt from his gloves he removed them and shoved them into his apron pocket. Easily jumping the garden fence he trotted over to the new arrivals, knocking the dirt from his hooves along the way. From under his hat a pair of droopy silver studded ears and curly auburn hair could be seen. With a knowing smile on his freckle covered face he reached out and happily shook their hands.
“Welcome to Doc Lylin’s magical miracle medicine menagerie! Haha! Try saying that five times fast! I’m his assistant Wallace. Wallace Van Hovet. But y’all can call me Wally. Y'all got an appointment? Or maybe y'all’re here for a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ to spice up your night with? The ol’ Doc’s got things even Miss Aphrodite will swear by-” All of a sudden a green flash flew from the house smacking loudly into the back of Wallace’s head cutting off his growing tangent.
Stunned the couple watched an odd little green ball bounce away quickly towards the lake, as if fleeing the scene. Afterwards they turned their attention towards the shack the ball had been shot from. Past the staggering and grumbling satyr, the soft sound of footsteps could be heard. From the door a petite and frail looking young man was currently making his way towards them. He had on a pair of slacks and a plain white button up that was open slightly, drawing ones eye to a large star shaped scar splashed across his neck and collar bones. Messy silver hair and lingering dark circles under his dull gray eyes made him look like a picture book example of an exhausted college student.
Ignoring the grief filled looks coming from Wallace he lazily stepped before the couple giving them a once over. The guy was aggravatingly tall and had muscles that would even make ‘The Rock’ jealous. With his lightly tanned skin and lively eyes shining from beneath his fluffy brown hair he looked like a walking embodiment of the sun. Resisting the urge to gag, Lylin turned his attention to the girl instead.
She was much smaller and mellower in comparison, making Lylin secretly thankful, he had a hard enough time dealing with Wallace, he didn’t need another sunflower child around. The young lady had long black hair that gracefully framed her face before casually draping over her shoulders. Her dark eyes where brimming with intelligence and seemed to draw in all the light around her.
Coming to a conclusion he snapped his fingers and textbook style words formed from water began to appear between them.
[I’m Dr. Lylin. You must be the ones Hades informed me about. Come on in and let me see if I can do something to help with that problem of yours.]
Not bothering to see if they read everything he turned and made his way back towards the shack the water words vanishing as he left. Having recovered from the earlier attack Wallace glanced between the pair and Lylin while scratching his head apologetically.
“Please excuse the Doc, he’s not a bad fella he just can’t talk ya see. But if it gets to the point where ya have any trouble keeping with his subtitles don’t be afraid to let him know. He’ll slow’em down for ya no problem.” Having said that Wallace smiled and lead them towards the house.
Once inside the strong scents of coffee, lavender, and rosemary wafted over them. Different types of ivies hung all around swaying in rainbow colored sunlight coming through the windows. Glass bottles full of a verity of liquids and the occasional moss ball lined nearly every surface. What wasn’t covered in bottles or aquariums was instead packed down with large leather bound books, or a patchwork quilt or two. Amidst the organized chaos, sitting expressionlessly on a hand carved wooden stool, was Lylin. With a coffee mug in one hand and a clip board in the other he watched as Wallace lead the pair forward. While pointing towards the worn leather couch across from himself, watery words began to form again.
[Take a seat. Wallace, go prepare some tea and a couple of snacks. Preferably the sweets that Persephone dropped off last time. Now then, how about you both introduce yourselves and enlighten me as to why Hades was insistent that I see to you.]
The tall, muscular man spoke up first, a disarming grin on his face. “I’m Cerberus; nice to meet you! Hades said that if anyone could help us, you were the man! I mean, help Leah, that is.”
He gestured at his companion, who had been looking around at the plants, books, and hand-made home décor with obvious admiration. She quickly smiled at Lylin and held out her hand. “Hi, Dr. Lylin; I’m Leah Chung. My issue is, well… It’s kind of a long story.”
She shrugged and gave a short, wry laugh before glancing at Cerberus. He nodded encouragingly and she turned back to Lylin.
“The short version is… Uh, I have an Aura, but I didn’t know it until a few weeks ago. It flared up on accident, and since then I haven’t been able to activate it on my own. Cerberus is trying to help me learn to control it, but the whole unpredictable activation thing is making it kind of hard.”
“Leah’s got a case with H.E.R.A,” Cerberus explained. “Her case worker suggested we look you up, and then Hades heard about it and told us he’d put in a good word. So… do you think you can help?”
The puppy dog eyes he gave the doctor were so insistent it was almost as if he needed the help instead of Leah.
               Looking at the puppy dog eyes being beamed his way, Lylin internally blanched. Forcibly ignoring the pleading looks he started jotting things down on his clipboard. While he wrote new watery words began to replace the old ones.
               [When Hades said that he was sending me something odd, he wasn’t kidding. So since your problem seems to be a lack of aura control I’m assuming, Zeus have mercy, that you’ve come here looking for a way to fix that?]
               Looking up from his clipboard, he glanced at them for conformation. At the moment Wallace finally returned along with a tea and snack covered tray. With a surprising amount of grace he placed the tray on the only clean table close by. With nimble hand he easily poured two cups before passing them off to Cerberus and Leah.
               “Here ya go! Two pippin’ hot cups of my own special blend.” With a proud smile on his face he enthusiastically watched the two, hoping to see their reaction. However the aggregated tapping he heard coming from Lylin’s direction rapidly reminded him of the other things he should be doing. Awkwardly nodding his head he quickly excused himself from the shack retreating to the safety of the garden.
               While watching Wallace escape, Leah brought the tea cup to her lips. An energizing earthy aroma with hints of raspberries attacked her senses. Taking a sip she couldn’t stop herself from sighing. Living up to its aroma, almost as soon the tea pass down her throat, a burst of invigorating energy seemed to spread through her body. Lost in the feeling she quickly took one sip after another. As if a blazing desert getting its first rain, her body eagerly absorbed the energy that was coming its way.
               “Wow, this teas amazing! It’s like I’m overflowing with energy!” Cerberus exclaimed, as if stealing the words from Leah’s mouth.
[Overflowing energy… oh no… Shit- WALLACE I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!]
Horror filled words suddenly started to flash through the air as Lylin franticly jumped from his chair. Sensing the impending disaster he grabbed ahold of Cerberus’ and Leah’s wrist. Completely ignoring the falling teacups and their shocked expressions, he quickly exerted his strength easily pulling them off the couch and towards the door.
As if on que, Leah felt that a dam had broken open inside of her. No sooner was she out the door, did an awe inspiring explosion take place. Having nowhere else to go, the excess energy from the tea, with the help of her already unstable aura, violently burst from her body. Time seemed to come to a screeching halt, as the majestic cry of an unseen bird resonated from the point of origin. Blinding silvery light brightened the surrounding area like a miniature sun. The force of the blast ripped Leah form Lylin’s grasp, before sending both him and Cerberus tumbling into the distance.
Unsteadily pushing himself off the ground, Lylin silently gagged as he coughed up the mud he’d been forced to eat on impact. While taking wheezing breathes he whipped the trace amounts of blood and remaining mud from his mouth. The blast had come so suddenly that he’d been unable to form his own aura in defense. Baring through the pain he surveyed the scene around him. Not too far off he saw Cerberus also struggling to get up looking just as miserable. Turning towards the cause of the blast, what he saw nearly made him black out. As the dust settled a disheveled looking Leah could be seen sitting solely in the middle of a three foot crater. Other than a few rips on her clothing, she appeared to be completely unscathed.
From the garden a fearful Wallace poked his head. Upon seeing the wretched sight before him he started to panic. Darting towards the back of the house he went in search of a first aid kit. Lylin has just managed to get to his feet when Wallace came bolting towards him. An overwhelming urge to strangle the satyr bubbled up in Lylin as he watched the guy approach.
“Lylin are you alright?!” Skidding to a stop by the staggering man, Wallace quickly let his aura loose. A large translucent lavender plant blossomed from behind Wallace, covering Lylin and even the distant Cerberus. Pale purple light cascaded down, slowly soothing and mending the pair’s wounds. Finally regaining he bearings Lylin begrudgingly pushed his was past Wallace, making his way towards Leah.
[Just focus on healing Cerberus.]
Leaving those words in his wake he carefully approached the dazed female. Taking a deep breath he gently released his aura. From the top of his head appeared a fragile waterlily. Yet as it bloomed the tiny bud became shockingly more glorious and ethereal. Its snow white petals slowly grew stretching out towards the horizon. A sweet smelling mist fluttered from the center of the petals pouring down with a strong healing power. Watching the healing mist gently cocoon around Leah he sighed.
[Well, you certainly know how to make an impression don’t you.]
