For any curious on my aus, here's some basic lore.

Between the Screen Au

Basic info: Rewrite of the Epic Mickey games with darker themes and slight cast changes. I.e. Fanny is temporary leader while Oz guards Mickey Junk Mt, loads of really old designs for most of the toons, etc.

Summary: Mickey sneaks into a closed off studio room within Yen Sid's lair. Intrigued by the mystical looking paint brush, he begins to paint himself only for it to distort and attack him. With a sponge and thinner, he tries to wipe away his creation. He leaves the room believing he erased the creature. He was wrong as little did he know that his action lead to the downfall of an entire world. Years past and Mickey raises to fame. One night he is swept away into a place toons of ages past dwell. Can he fix his mistakes and mend a relationship that could have been? Who knows.

Epic Mickey : Tale of 2 Brothers

Basic Info: Another au that rewrites Epic Mickey, but brings back the old concepts and story where Ozzy is an anti-hero and Mickey can go feral.

Summary: Oswald is the humble king of Wasteland that works hard to give everything he's got to forgotten toons. However, his obsession for admiration and justice lead him to take drastic measures. An alliance between the Mad Doctor and an inky beast called the Blot leads them to seek revenge on the toon responsible for their circumstances. Mickey is dragged into Wasteland and adventures the land in hopes of returning back home. Both brothers will have to make the right decisions for this story to end well.

Rising Star

Basic Info: Somewhat parody of Walt's rise to fame. Toons and humans co-exist. Various old toons appear like Felix, Gerdy, Flip, etc. Look is like Roger rabbit. Follows from like the 1920s to modern day.

Summary: Michael and Oswald love their little rural life, but yearned for bigger dreams. Oswald eventually builds enough income to head out to California to make it big. He gets noticed for his talent and charm by a director and becomes a star. A year passes and Michael later joins in his brother's footstep to be a star. Both learn that making it big isn't all glitz and glam.

Toons & Dungeons

Basic Info: D&D inspired universe. Mainly focuses on the Disney Brothers, but other toons will appear. Story is very rough as this is an old au that changed from an RPG based idea to D&D, which I have little knowledge off.

Summary: Orphans Mick and Ozzy were inseparable as they roamed the streets of Fantasia. A run in with the Blox lead the two to be separated. Oswald was cursed to never be remembered by his loved ones after escaping from the Blox. He takes refuge with people called Gremlins who raise him as one of their own. The only thing he wants is to lift this curse and re-unite with his brother. Mickey is a traveling bard on a quest to find something he's lost. The only clue he's got is someone important to him, a brother? A friend? If only he could remember what his name was or what he looked like.

Ink & Mirrors

Basic Info: An old Bendy and the Ink machine au that's been slightly revamped. Main cast is Epic Mickey, Bendy cast, Cuphead cast, and Felix cast alongside cameos of other toons or ocs. Most lore is based on the first game with little humans in it, basically really early days of Bendy theories. It has a parallel story, but it is mostly the same in how it would go.

Summary: Bendy has been trapped in this crummy studio for years and envies the toons that are more beloved them him. He already dealt with his damn creator, so why not have some good cartoon fun? Toons have been going missing and mysterious letters appear to some that ask them to visit an old studio. Some visit or stumble into it after encounter strange black ink. Little do these toons know that this place was never suppose to be found.

Toon High

Basic Info: An old High school au. Walt High, Universal High, and Warner High. Not much else to go on, it's just school. Various toons can appear, but again this focuses on Disney mainly. Story is never gonna be concrete and barely used. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Summary: Mickey and Oswald have had a rocky relationship ever Mickey came into the family. One was joyous to have an older brother while the other was indifferent. Oswald is transferred to Walt High after Universal High doesn't work out. Mickey is happy be going to high school with his big brother, but his brother would rather be anywhere else. Maybe the two can finally work out their differences.

Magic Island

Basic Info: Animal crossing

Summary: Elias finds out that a new island get-away is being opened by Tom Nook. Him and his brother Clover travel to the island for a change of view and potential new home. New friends and a hard-working leader are what welcomes the brothers to their new home.

Local Toons

Basic Info: Everyone's a kid. Minor angst as this is more like slice of life. Style is black and white.

Summary: The Disney brothers love their rural life and love to help around the town. Various shenanigans ensue and new friends come and go.

P.D. Toons (Public Domain Toons)

Basic Info: Public domain toons that I made my own. Their origins are still there but nothing like the originals. Every toon has a new name. I.e. Willy = Mickey, Oliver = Oswald, etc. These are just for fun so not much lore.

Summary: Slice of life like stories or illustrations. Nothing big.

YOU ASKED FOR IT! HERES A LITTLE LIST OF HC I HAVE FOR MY Warner Brothers Human au! (note: a lot of this was taken from both the new and old show in little one time gags but I decided to take them anyway and use it for here)

Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are adopted by Dr. Scrathansniff when they’re kids and become his legal wards. (They were living on the streets before, much like how they are at the beginning of Wakko’s Wish). They keep their last name, Warner.

Dr. Scratchansniff is a psychiatrist on a film lot in Burbank for the actors there. He sometimes brings the kids with him when he can’t find a babysitter, and even though for the most part they behave themselves, they are also often seen sneaking off and running havoc in the studios and playing pranks on actors and directors. (Though they can be annoying and they often have to have Ralph the security guard keep an eye on them, they do have a soft spot for the little Warners, and they adore Scratchy, so they tolerate the children running amok with threaded patience and understanding)

That premise being stated, lets move on to some fun facts

Yakko can’t swim

Dot snores in her sleep

Wakko sleepwalks and sleep eats

Yakko is an insomniac, and sometimes the only way he’ll fall asleep is if Scratchy reads him some of his thesis papers on mental health and psychological disorders (which works every time)

Wakko’s deathly afraid of clowns. Like, bone-chilling, heart will stop beating right then and there, terrified of them.

It’s a running gag in the family that Yakko has deep pants pockets, and he just keeps the most random items in there. Bandaids and house keys and chapstick are one thing, but a toy hammer, a miniature head of Dwayne the Rock Johnson, and a bag of salami sticks are on a whole new level of weird. Dot and Wakko find endless joy in the game “what’s in Yakko’s pockets” though, so Yakko doesn’t really mind the weird side glances he gets.

Yakko wants to be a history teacher when he’s older.

Wakko is the most protective of his siblings. Yakko prefers dealing with a disagreement with his words, but Wakko will straight up throw down with anyone who looks at their siblings backward. They’re not afraid to throw a punch or two, and biting isn’t playing dirty when Scratchy isn’t around.

Wakko is, of course, non-binary. He/them pronouns. 

Dot is very politically charged always, and often prefers to watch the news channel over cartoons.

Dot also loves to sew. Yakko taught her to sew long ago when they were still orphans living on the street, (Dot wanting to learn to make herself useful since she was too young and meek to do much else to help support them like Yakko and Wakko could, so she took up to fixing their old and worn clothes) Now it’s a fun hobby she enjoys. Wakko is often her mannequin/model.

Dot used to get sick a lot, and still sorta has a weak immune system, even though she hardly gets sick now that she has a healthy and stable life with Dr. Scratchansniff. (This leads to the brothers being extra protective of her)

Dot and Wakko are auditory learners, so Yakko used to make up all kinds of songs in the form of lessons to help them understand a school subject or topic of discussion or just general facts. (Which also ended up instilling in him a love for teaching)

Wakko chews on his hoodie strings when he’s bored or nervous. (Stimming by chewing)

Dot has a green thumb. Yakko fucking does not.

Wakko is a really great cook and has a natural palate and understanding of food combinations, so even though he’s never used a recipe, he can actually just make most things from scratch just by figuring out how they’re supposed to taste and go from there. (His specialty is sandwiches, but he also likes to experiment. Scratchy doesn’t like to dissuade Wakko’s creativity, even if it does occasionally lead to a small kitchen fire or mess, and lets him go ham in the kitchen (safely) whenever the creative mood strikes him, because in the end, most of his stuff does actually end up tasting good.)

Yakko can actually speak Japanese pretty well. He never tells Scratchy how or where he learned it from, which drives the doctor insane.

Owen gives their invite to the Norita family reunion to the Warners. They find their relatives to be... intensely competitive. (And honestly has no clue why they even received an invite if they aren't really a "Norita" by name anyways lol)

Their younger cousin, Cora, will probably end up dragging them with her to it anyways. Owen will probably just spend their time sitting in a corner doodling while watching the madness unfold lol

this is nonsense but like how does everyone pick and choose which characters to include as Mickey’s siblings? From what I’ve seen most people instinctively want to round Mick and Oz out as a trio but who they choose isn’t consistent.

Oswald is a guarantee, regardless of au or heacanon.

but is Julius included as a character made for a series by Walt and Ub? Or not since they were told to rip off Felix and he was a supporting character who stole the show like Goofy and Donald instead of an original main character like Oz and Mickey?

is Felicity? the Disney canon older sister of Mickey, or is she unimportant to meta storylines having been created/refined without drama (an not by Walt or Ub)?

is Flip the Frog? Since Ub created him? Or not since he deviates from the Disney-centricness of it all?

is Willie Whopper? He was Ub’s second star (but I think Natwick designed him) but he’s a little human toon boy and somehow that’s weirder than just another different animal. I literally never see anyone use this kid.

is Gabby Goat? Ub made him. At Warner. He’s a Looney Tune. Nobody liked him cause he’s a violent little goat but like Mickey having a Looney Tune brother is funny to me.

why not the Laugh-O-Gram characters? The main characters were human toons Jack and Suzie (a couple) but the side characters were a cat and dog (also sometimes a couple), like why not use them?

I really wanna know what peoples’ lines of thought are.

Animaniacs : Wish Upon a Warner AU

I don't have a fully written out story for it yet (and I'm not sure if I ever will to be honest), but I thought this was a fun idea.

What is the "Wish Upon a Warner" AU? It's an AU where the world of "Wakko's Wish" and the world of "Animaniacs" are alternate dimensions. The main idea of this AU is that the Toon!Warners end up stuck in Warnerstock and eventually meet their older, royal counterparts. (I'm not gonna say how they get there yet, I have something in mind but I wanna see if people are actually interested in this AU first). Hijinks (and angst) ensue.

Some notes:

-Wakko's Wish, the movie, doesn't exist in this AU. Everything that happened in that movie (minus any fourth wall jokes where they reference the fact that it is a movie) happened in an alternate dimension.

-For the Royal!Warners, it's set 3 years after the events of Wakko's Wish; but for the Toon!Warners it's set in 1998, same year the original show ended. I chose for it to be set in 1998 because, without going into too much detail, the show's cancellation is the catalyst for the Toon!Warners ending up in Warnerstock.

-I made the Royal!Warners fae so that anything that the Warners do that could be explained with cartoon logic, for them they instead use magic (for example, they don't have hammer spaces, but they CAN summon objects, and they aren't squash and stretch characters, but they can transform their bodies, etc). They still look about the same as they do in Wakko's Wish, just older and in different outfits.

-The Royal!Warners can age and have the same lifespan as any human, whilst the Toon!Warners are...well, still toons. No adulthood for them-they're still (physically) 14, 11 and 9.

-Everyone else in Warnerstock is either a human or a talking animal-no toons here!

-Despite the AU taking place before the reboot, I do intend to have some characters from it be in the AU. Nils Neidhardt is a Wish Fulfilment Facilitator like Pip, Julia is a villager who moved to Acme Falls after Salazar was dethroned, Nora Rita Norita is the CEO of an elixir company (and rival to Hello Nurse), etc.

-Royal!Yakko is 17 years old and is trying to grow up a bit too fast, attempting to reject his family's signature zany and childlike nature. Now that he has a kingdom to rule over and that he's almost 18, he feels the pressure to stop goofing around and act like an adult, for the sake of the kingdom (his anxiety isn't exactly helping either). Meanwhile, Toon!Yakko is disappointed his older self is such a "stick in the mud" now, and cranks up his zaniness around him. Royal!Yakko thinks he's doing it to annoy him, but really Toon!Yakko just wants him to loosen up, and not fully lose his "inner" child.

-Royal!Wakko, and like his toon counterpart, always had the tendency to mimic others' mannerisms. Now that he's 14-as old as Yakko was when they searched for the Wishing Star-he's taken that to the extreme by trying to act just like his older brother. He does this mostly out of admiration, but also partly because he struggles with things Yakko, both his siblings really, are good at (reading, communication skills, etc) and he feels shame over this. Eventually he expresses his desire to be more like them to Toon!Wakko, who responds in confusion. Why would his older self want to act like Yakko? He's not Yakko-he's Wakko! Did he forget? They go back and forth on this a lot, although over time, with Toon Wakko's help, Royal!Wakko learns to not be ashamed for what he may lack, and to celebrate his own strengths by being his true self.

-Royal!Dot, or "Angelina" as she insists everyone call her now, is 12 years old and has fully recovered from her sickness. She wants to make up for the years she spent suffering from her illness and having to rely on her brothers to take care of her. Now that she's older, she's tired of being seen as the "cute, helpless little girl" of the family-she wants to prove that she's mature, independent, tough, reliable...and definitely not a burden. First order of business to show off her maturity was to she insist that everyone to call her "Princess Angelina", which she thought was a more mature sounding name than "Dot". Toon!Dot is surprised to learn that her older self was sick, then expresses delight at the idea of her brothers taking care of her whilst she lays in bed all day. Angelina accidently lets it slip she feels guilty over being a burden to her brothers when she was younger, even though Wakko's never said so and Yakko keeps insisting otherwise, that she isn't, and never was, a burden, that her brothers took care of her because they love her, and don't regret a second of it. Toon!Dot reminds her that if Royal!Yakko was anything like her Yakko, then he's not one to sugar coat things, so if he says he feels that way, he means it. Besides, “We already know that we’re strong, but sometimes it pays to be seen as the cute, helpless little girl.”

-The Royal!Warners let the Toon!Warners stay at the castle with them (they are technically family) whilst they figure out a way to use their magic to reach Burbank.

This is the second Animaniacs AU I've made, the first being a "The Looney Tunes Show" AU. However, unlike that one, I might develop this one into a fanfic, since I have more ideas for it (a Pinky and the Brain subplot, which characters the Toon!Warners meet before meeting the Royal!Warners, etc). But no promises! (I am NOT a writer 😅)

PatB: Beauty and the Beast AU

This is based off the animated movie because frankly I don’t like the live action remake (what did they do to Beast? He’s just a hairy human with horns in the live action film). 

Cause c’mon if we’re doing Disney AUs y’all knew this movie would crop up eventually. Also consider this is a test post and not all details will be ironed out from the start. 

Characters 

Belle: Pinky 

Beast: Brain

Gaston: Snowball 

Lefou: I don’t think he’s necessary but either Larry or Egwind could probably fill in. 

Maurice: Pinky’s dad.

Enchantress: Undecided. CEO Norita or Minerva Mink maybe? 

Philippe: Pharfignewton 

Main Trio of Servants: Yakko (candelabra), Wakko (clock), Dot (teacup) 

Other Animaniacs characters as servants or villagers as needed. Rita the Cat is a harp and the main singer for the big ballroom dance. Runt is a footstool. 

Prologue

1. Brain and Snowball have history. They grew up in a castle together, but Snowball craved more power and after a very harsh argument with Brain, he left the castle to make his own way into the world. Snowball’s betrayal stung Brain deeply, and Brain became angrier and unhappy and tries to assert more control over the castle while trying to keep his pride and dignity intact. 

2. A few weeks after Snowball’s betrayal on a harsh winter’s night, Brain loses his temper on a traveler wanting shelter from the cold, and he and the entire castle are cursed as a result. He’s given the rose and mirror and told that he needs to find love in 2 years or be cursed for all time. Brain feels horribly guilty for dragging the servants into his mess but doesn’t know how to admit it.  

2 Years Later

1. Pinky’s lived in a quiet village his entire life. His dad is an extremely amateur inventor (he doesn’t really have any concept of the scientific process and operates on a ‘does it work or does it explode’ basis). Pinky likes to go horseback riding with Pharfignewton in his spare time and often wishes to know what’s beyond the village, but his dad needs him. 

2. Since leaving the castle, Snowball settled into Pinky’s village and quickly became the leader, using his status as a way to garner wealth and easily impressionable followers before setting his sights on other kingdoms. There’s quite a few statues built in his honor around town. Since Pinky is often lost in his own little world at times, he doesn’t admire Snowball the way the others do. Snowball is intrigued by Pinky’s resistance. 

3. Pinky’s dad takes Pharfig and his invention to the fair, gets lost, winds up at the castle. He meets the Warner siblings, who entertain their guest until Brain shows up, enraged by the blatant trespassing and belief that he’d come to steal his servants. Brain locks him in a cell until he can properly work out a way to keep the mouse from revealing what he’d seen. 

4. Snowball makes an advance on Pinky. Pinky goes out to the field to think for a while after successfully tossing Snowball out of the house, and Pharfig comes back in a panic, without his dad or the cart. Pharfig takes Pinky to the castle, where Pinky discovers his dad being held in a cell. Brain gets mad at the trespassing again, but it quickly melts into confusion when Pinky offers to take his dad’s place as prisoner. Brain takes the deal, but he doesn’t let Pinky say goodbye to his dad as he’s dragged out of the castle and Pinky is left to cry. 

5. Rest of the interactions between Pinky and Brain pre-wolf attack play out similarly to the movie (personally I don’t think Brain would let Pinky starve though). Yakko when Brain almost breaks the door to get Pinky to come out of his room: “Look, I can barely string two words together around girls but even I know that you shouldn’t break down people’s doors.” 

Dot: “YOU SET FIRE TO MY DOOR LAST WEEK.” 

6. The Warner sibs fully realize the irony of them trying to help someone behave enough for the curse to break and decide to go apologize to Dr. Scratchy...later. 

7. Pinky can carry Brain even though Brain is much bigger than him (also I imagine Brain as a beast is more rat-sized in this AU so by mouse standards he’d be big but he has to be small enough so the ballroom scene can work). He yeeted Brain into a snowbank once and destroyed him in a snowball fight. 

8. Yakko is the big Shakespeare reader of the group and puts on reenactments for their entertainment. 

9. Brain has a lab in the castle where he likes to experiment with scrap parts of machinery, but his larger paws make it difficult for him to handle anything with finesse, causing a huge amount of frustration. 

10. Dot is the MVP again. Brain shouldn’t take romantic advice from Yakko and Wakko. 

11. There’s an enormous field behind the castle which was used for horseback riding between royals before the curse. Brain gifts the entire thing to Pinky on Dot’s advice and Pinky adores it to pieces.

12. Dot helped Pinky with his pretty golden dress before the dance. Yakko and Wakko help Brain with the formal clothing, but have to call in Dot for fixing the fur around his face to something that wouldn’t damage Brain’s pride.

13. “Because I love him” after Brain releases Pinky so he can take his ailing father home is a huge step for Brain, but its not enough to break the curse. They wait for the last petal to fall, and Yakko panics because he can’t find Dot anywhere. Unknown to him, Dot left the castle with Pinky. Brain goes completely numb and can only stare out a window in despair.  

13. Snowball threatens to have Pinky’s dad brought to a lab where he’ll be experimented on if Pinky doesn’t agree to marriage. Pinky claims he was at a castle and shows the mirror for proof, then admits that he befriended the Beast shown in it. Snowball instantly recognizes who it is, and realizes how he can hurt Brain all over again: by taking Pinky for himself. Pinky and his dad are locked in a cellar as Snowball gathers a mob to go kill Brain and claim the castle for himself. Dot and Pharfignewton save them, and they go rushing off to the castle to warn of the attack. 

14. The servants defend the castle. Snowball escapes the chaos and goes to hunt down Brain himself. Brain doesn’t fight back, and Snowball taunts him about loving Pinky. Before Snowball can kill him, Brain hears Pinky’s voice calling out a warning and he regains the will to fight back. Dot reunites with her brothers and together they fend off the remaining villagers. 

15. Snowball and Brain fight on the rooftop. Brain almost kills Snowball, but shows mercy and tells him to leave instead. As Pinky and Brain reunite, Snowball fatally stabs Brain, but loses his balance in the process and falls to his death. 

16. Death, Pinky’s love confession, and transformation scene. Everyone lives happily after ever. Except Snowball. Who’s dead. 

Bonus:

Brain during the group hug after the transformation: “Wait, how come everyone’s taller than me now?”

Becca, I need you to consider the following crossover: Yax/Luca au with Yakko as Alberto and Max as Luca

I see your "Yakko is Alberto and Max is Luca" and raise you this- Yakko is Luca, Wakko and Dot are Alberto, and Max is Giulia.

Bear with me. This is still Yax. And saying Yakko is Luca is a stretch, because I'm mostly thinking of second-act relationships and characterization. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are still siblings and their characterization is still the same. I just don't think Max fits Luca's role that well, mostly because I don't think Goofy fits Daniela's role that well. Goofy's a good dad! I don't see him yelling at his kid just because he's simply talking about going to the surface. Goofy's pretty laid back, you know? I definitely don't think Goofy would send his kid away to the deep with his estranged brother, or whomever, just because Max snuck out and broke a rule. Maybe he'd be angry, but I don't think he could near to part with his kid. (Mind you, I think Daniela probably wouldve been torn apart if Luca had been sent away too. She loves him, she just doesn't understand him or respect him, I think. She thinks she knows best and never listened to what Luca wanted. Anyway.)

So in this au, Max would take Giulia's role as the human/toon friend that the siblings meet once they finally get off their island, which they were abandoned on by their parents or whomever. How they all meet could vary, maybe the siblings decide to stop waiting for caretakers who never cared to come back and set out for the land monster town by themselves, or maybe there's a Here Comes Giulia situation, where Max arrives at Isola del Mare and finds the siblings, then brings them to his home once he realizes they're all alone. Regardless, they meet and the siblings are absolutely fascinated by the land monster world. Yakko in particular, who had always had such a fascination with learning new things. Wakko takes to the land monster music and Dot becomes an expert in land monster fashion in less than an hour. They're all having a blast.

Except- as the days go by, Wakko and Dot have noticed Yakko spending a whole lot of time with Max, reading his books, going with him around the town. At first it doesn't bother them; the three of them are thick as thieves and would never abandon the others. Not like- well...

But the fear is there, and the two of them try to ignore it, try to convince themselves that Yakko may be fixating on the land monster stuff, but he cares more about them than he does about any of that. He has to, right?

But then, eventually, his topics start diverging from land monster stuff to just... Max. He never shuts up about him. And at first, maybe they humor their brother, because its fun teasing him about his crush, but then they realize oh shit what if he loves Max more than he loves us? What if he leaves with Max and never comes back? What if he doesn't need them anymore?

With no other outlet to release this growing anxiety, the two of them start to be brusque and rude to Max, something Yakko doesn't really understand. He's too caught up in the beauty of everything to see how afraid his siblings are of losing him.

I'm starting to just rewrite the movie but with the Warner siblings and Max, so I'm not exactly sure where to go from here that wouldn't just be a retelling. I don't think the siblings would split up at the end, no siree, but I do think they're be some kind of fight, maybe with Wakko or Dot yelling that they "wished they'd never left the island!" and Yakko, who has never been happier than he has been here, with his sibs and his friend and all the knowledge in the world, is just- shocked, heartbroken. He thought they were having fun, too. He thought this was a good thing.

And is was, to him. Coming to this town was the best thing that'd ever happened to him, and if his sibs didn't see that, if they weren't happy for him and wanted to just be back on that boring, stifling, horrible little island, then- "Why don't you just go back?!"

And there's quiet, and shock, and before Yakko can calm down enough to realize what he'd told them to do, one of them says, "Okay."

And then the two of them leave.

Anyway, like I said, I don't have any other ideas at the moment for plot conflict. I wouldn't want to just copy the Portorosso cup race because there's four of them now and there's no real reason for it if there isn't the "we have to run away so your parents don't send you to the deep" plotline. But I think it's a very good idea, Gabby! I realize I kinda made it too much sibling stuff and not enough Yax, but unfortunately sibling angst is my jam (as if Separated wasn't enough of an indicator akdjakdjaj) so it was bound to happen!

So I’ve been thinking up some more headcanons, or at least compiled a general list of what role the Animaniacs characters play in the Kipo au.  

This is kinda long, and spoiler-ish, so I’m putting another ‘read more’. 

Here’s the first post for more context. 

So far: 

The Warner Brothers are kids that have been underground for most of their lives. The mutes refer to them as the Burrow Brothers because Yakko’s a big mouth and might have said too much in front of Jamack. 

Dot is raised by a family of wolf mutes and has basically lived on the surface all of her life. She goes by the name Wolf when the boys first meet her, but then confesses that her real name is “Dot” later on. (Call her Dottie and you die.) 

Pinky and the Brain are mice mutes. Both of them are descended from intelligent lab mice, which is why Brain is so hellbent on conquering the world. Pinky on the other hand worked in Ratland along with Brad and Amy until he meets Brain. 

The Goodfeathers are definitely in this au, mafia pigeon mutes just scream Kipo material. I like to think they’d have a long time rivalry with the Mod Frogs. 

Slappy is a squirrel mute who takes in Dot after her wolf family tries to kill her and acts as her mentor figure. Though Dot eventually heads off on her own, she visits Slappy from time-to-time just to make sure she’s doing okay and to let her know what gossip she hears about the other mutes. 

Also, would it be awful if I had Skippy die in this au? Like that’s the reason why Slappy is so adamant about helping Dot and training her how to survive on the surface, because she doesn’t want to see another child like her nephew get killed?  

Buttons and Mindy live in the same burrow as Yakko and Wakko. Poor dog can never catch a break, especially when Mindy one day escapes to the surface and has to chase after her. 

I’d say Rita and Runt could be the same as usual, but also Runt being a megamute dog sounds like a lot of fun. He just thinks Rita’s a really small dog. Same as the show, the two look for a home and a family to call their own despite Runt’s gigantic size. 

The humans in the show all live in the same burrow as Yakko and Wakko (Dr. Scratchansniff, Nurse, Plotz, Ralph, etc.) 

Doctor Scratchansniff works as the burrow’s p-psychiatrist. He becomes a father figure to both Yakko and Wakko after their parents leave them in his care. Not only that, but with Wakko as a child with megamute DNA flowing through his veins (well maybe ink) Scratchy does everything he can to nail it on the head for Yakko to keep Wakko calm whenever they’re around other people. (Luckily Wakko’s megamute powers doesn’t start emerging until the boys are on the surface.) Despite that the boys are chaotic and pull many pranks on him and the other people in the burrow, Scratchy holds a special place in his heart for them both, which is why he leaves behind clues so they’ll be able to find the new burrow. 

Heloise Nerz (Hello Nurse) is Scratchy’s assistant like in the show, and a giant advocator in the burrow. She tends to the sick and runs the small hospital. Not only that, but she also helps run the school due to being one of the more educated people in the burrow. 

Plotz is the burrow’s leader, and a rather selfish one at that. He usually has Ralph deal with the other denizens rather than himself. As always, Plotz hates the Warner Brothers and would rather cast them out on the surface than continually deal with their daily shenanigans. Lucky for him, his wish comes true when the two are nowhere to be seen after the megamute attack. 

Ralph acts as Plotz’s bodyguard. Anyone that wants to get to Plotz has to get through him. 

The Hip Hippos are hippo mutes. That’s it. I doubt a lot of you will be sad if I don’t have them super involved in the au. 

Chicken Boo also lives in the burrow. He’s a chicken mute that’s convinced all the burrow people that he’s a person like them, and luckily no one has caught on yet. Well except Ralph, but nobody pays any mind to him. 

I’ve already mentioned a little about Angelina and William in the last post, but they’re the Warner siblings scientist parents who worked among Salazar’s Science Guild. Both end up having to leave Yakko and Wakko behind when Salazar pursues them. 

Angelina was originally from the burrow that they bring the boys to. She grew up alongside Heloise and was mentored by Scratchy, which is why she goes to them to take care of the boys while her and William dealt with Salazar. It’s also her who figures out the cure for the mutes; yet after seeing how Hugo improved intellectually during their tests, she feels like there could be another way for humans and toons to live back on the surface without taking away the mutes’ intelligence.  

William grew up in the same burrow as Salazar, and is aware of what a nasty person he is. He’s quite fond of the scientist from another burrow, and starts a family with Angelina. (Also I’m a terrible person and have him get killed while trying to protect Dot.) 

As mentioned, Salazar is the head of their Science Guild, whose mission it is to find a cure that will revert the mutes back to their small unintelligible, animal selves. What he doesn’t know is that someone has already figured out a solution, and instead was using it to raise a toon/mute hybrid. Once he discovers Wakko’s existence, he’s relentless to get his hands on him and destroy the child once and for all.

Trollhunters Book (2015) the weird book that would be the start of Tales of Arcadia

Trollhunters book. Read it and... what was all that?

Some spoilers below the cut.

So many things were different from the series we know and watch. It has a lot of horror and it was suppose to be a live action series adaptation of the book (Hey, Hollywood, if you want to do a live action remake of Trollhunters then just base it on the book. We already have the cartoon don’t want you ruining it like Rise of the Titans did) There were a lot of differences from the show i know, but it also had somethings that would be told differently from the book.

Instead of his mom, Jim lives with his dad James “Jim” Sturges Sr (And Jim’s last name isn’t Lake but Sturges which is actually important) who is a paranoid and traumatized man after losing his brother Jack Sturges in 1969 under a bridge and seeing some monster. Oh, and everyone lives in San Bernardino not Arcadia Oaks (So i guess it’s Trollhunters: Tales of San Bernardino?) And Barbara was the one that walked out (The book never gave Jim’s mom a name, but going with the series i chose to still call her Barbara) Oh, and Jim’s dad invented the Excalibur Calculator Pocket (Jim wielding Excalibur was foreshadowed as far as the book)

Jim is short. Like really short. Claire is taller than him (Okay am i the only bugged by that? Why didn’t the series let Claire be taller than Jim? Where are the aus where Claire is taller than Jim?) Tobias is called Tubby or Tub not Toby, and he’s Jewish, and he still lives with his grandma (The book doesn’t call her Nana) Claire is Scottish, apparently her birthday is May 2nd which is a day after Jim’s (Which is May 1st, but the series changed his birthday to October 10th) and her baby brother Enrique doesn’t exist in the book.

Steve is still Steve just more brutal and can get away with everything, his last name is Jorgensen-Warner, and is a Changeling (Though the show was going to make Steve a Changeling like in the book. But they changed their minds, as shown in episode 7 To Catch a Changeling, and his troll form was reworked into Draal. Now i have to wonder if Changeling Steve would’ve been better than what happened to him in the movie)

Blinky is an octopus like troll, with eight eyes (Four of them are blind) Aaarrrgghh is a female here with black fur. Gunmar the Black is red even though they call him the Black (I guess Gunmar the Red didn’t sound good) And the history of trolls is very different from the show. Also Killahead Bridge is called Killaheed Bridge.

The school actually has more teachers than the three in the show (Coach Lawrence still exists in the book) There is: Principal Cole, Miss Pinkton the math teacher, Miss Leach the drama teacher (Miss Leach probably later became Miss Janeth in the show) Senor Uhl doesn’t exist in the book. There are other characters like Professor Lempke (Someone i’m gonna talk more about later) Tubby’s dentist is named Dr. Papadapolous and not Dr. Muelas (Or as i like to call him. Guillermo Del Toro the Dentist) Sergeant Ben Gulager (Probably later became Officer Brennan)

There are different types of trolls like Nullhullers, who can vomit out all of their organs save their hearts to become faster. If i had to learn about this, you should suffer too. But i won’t say how Changelings replace their baby counterparts. It’s something you have to read yourself but it’s really really disturbing.

The Amulet of Daylight isn’t called that, and the Amulet is a Medallion that translates troll (So it doesn’t give you a suit of armor, or gives you a sword to fight trolls) The Trollhunters are different too. It’s the Amulet of Daylight that picks a troll to become the Trollhunter, with Jim being the first human Trollhunter. That is not the case here in the book. The Trollhunters were always humans and they fought the trolls that kept eating them. The Sturges are one of the family of Trollhunters, and towards the end of the book it’s revealed Claire is one too. And Merlin and Morgana have nothing to do with the book.

Jack Sturges was an interesting character to me and it makes me mad that he was one of the characters that wasn’t in the show. Hey i’m just saying, they could’ve made him be Barbara’s missing old brother if they didn’t want James in the series.

There were moments from characters that i always found strange and surprised the book didn’t confirm that.

Starting with Steve not Palchuk but instead Jorgensen-Warner. Now the book reveals he’s a Changeling cause Tub touched him with a horseshoe and Claire kills him. Some of Jim’s classmates would be among the kids that begins to disappear. And then later Claire gets taken as well. The book never confirms or denies it, but i believe Steve was the reason Claire and some of his classmates were taken. I say this cause when Claire tells Steve off (Which by the way was an awesome scene and i think she also Rule Number 3 him) and he walks away angry and then later she gets kidnapped. I found that weird and too convenient. And now that i’m thinking about it. Steve was bullying Jim and Tub before Claire tells him off. Thinking about it i think if Claire didn’t interfered then Steve would’ve picked Jim and/or Tub to get eaten by Gunmar. But that’s just my headcanon.

Another character i want to talk about is Professor Lempke, who i feel was split into two characters in the show, Strickler and Nomura. Lempke is an arrogant man who is also working to restore the Killaheed Bridge. Doesn’t that familiar? The book never confirms it, but it’s possible that Lempke was a Changeling too and was restoring Killaheed for Gunmar. Why else would he talk about how great the bridge is and went through all the trouble to get it to San Bernardino? And when Gunmar was freed and fighting, Lempke, as Jim said, was overjoyed at the battle and then after the battle Lempke disappeared. That last one honestly seemed like a sequel hook.

Given how somethings were i feel like, if Tales of Arcadia didn’t happen, then the book would’ve become a series. Trollhunters was from Jim’s point of view, and i feel like if we got the book series instead of the cartoon, then there could’ve been spin off books sequels and prequel. Maybe Trollhunters spin offs one from Tub’s point of view and one from Claire’s point of view, Trollhunters prequel on Jack when he was taken, Trollhunters sequels that may had them dealing with Lempke and possible other enemies and finding other Trollhunters. Who knows.

But all and all. The book was a good read and it really shows what would influence the show. Truth by told reading the book made me lose my appetite for a while.

Family & Bonds AU Headcanons

I an dabbling in a couple of AU’s currently. Primarily what I have posted is a Family and Bonds AU titled....Family Bonds. (original. v crafty. wow.) Anyway, lengthy post under the cut.

I shifted the family tree from Bonds in order to accommodate the incredible characters designed by middlewarnersibling in Family to be the Warner trio's parents, and I love that story line for them. 

In Bonds, it seemed odd that Bosko would some how not notice his lover's aging or just how she managed to keep all three kids a secret, but I figured, one was totally possible and that one child was Slakko, their father from Family. So it goes like this:

Oswald and Ortensia have a daughter named Odelia. 

Odelia has an affair with Bosko Warner

Culminating in middlewarnersibling’s character Slakko Warner. Odelia still never tells Bosko and before the baby arrives, Bosko’s bleeding heart brother, Kokko offers to marry Odelia so the baby at least appears “legit.” 

So Kokko becomes the Warner trio’s legal grandfather.

According to Family, Slakko meets Ophelia, a cat toon who sings and dances. They hook up and reluctantly wind up in a shotgun marriage and eventually all three kids are born.

Yakko is approx 5-6 years older than Dot and 3 years older than Wakko, putting him solidly in the middle. 

Their birthdays are all in different seasons; I have decided Dot is mid-late June, Wakko is early October and Yakko is January, so their age gap gets all wonky at certain times of the year.

Babs and Buster were actually about 14/15 respectively at the launch of Tiny Toon Adventures which makes them both a couple years Yakko's senior. 

I also think it makes for an excellent joke about Yakko always gunning for older women.  

(For future reference, yes this makes Buster a solid 7 years older than Dot.) 

The rest of the primary Tiny Toons crew is pretty much on par with the exception of Hampton and Dizzy who I headcanon as younger by about a yearish. 

(Why yes, Yakko and Dot both have deep seated parental trauma, why do you ask? Wakko does too but it uh....comes out in a different way.)

I headcanon an interesting arch for Slakko which involves something of redemption? In Bonds while Bosko is on the hunt for the Warners he finds this other Warner and decides to see if he has any information. Slakko is living alone in a bit of a shite apartment and mostly keeps to himself and has been ok at staying out of bigger trouble. So when Bosko and his boys arrive at his door he's suspicious and ready to make it a fight if he has to. But there isn't much of a fight; Bosko demands to know where the trio is, Slakko honestly has no idea but Bosko doesn't believe him. The weasels and whomever else Bosko brought as his cronies beat the shit out of him but he holds true to his story.

So Bosko finally believes him. More or less. He doesn't want to have to come back here so he decides to make sure that Slakko can't ever 'see' his children again and has whomever's with him hold him down and burn his eyes with dip. So Slakko's left blinded, injured and probably should be dead but he's not.

Yakko remembers that his folks hardly ever reported an injury or used a hospital unless they absolutely had to. So, close to the end of the show Yakko finds out his father actually used medical services and decides to figure out how to get himself listed as an emergency contact. Not that he intended to ever come to assist but more so that he can make sure to be notified of anything particularly fatal. In Family, he lamented that he never got to say goodbye to their mother and as much as he disagrees with him, Yakko never wants to miss that chance again. So, post Bonds, he ends up finding out about Slakko's sudden blindness and discreetly, not to the knowledge of Slakko or his sibs, decides to help out. Just this once, is Yakko's reasoning.

Um....some cute things I headcanon....

I kept Wakko's diabetes....not cute but like, it's more light hearted than that other stuff tbh

Also not 100% cute: Babs continues to go to therapy to address things like depression and PTSD but it takes some....convincing for Yakko to see someone again. Especially after being made to on the lot. But after a particularly bad night he agrees to give it a shot. 

Basically, they coax each other through episodes and have learned to spot when they're each using coping mechanisms in harmful ways and call each other out on it. They make a fantastic team.

They also don’t totally shy away from the conversations with their daughters. They introduce what’s appropriate and with their age gap that can be tricky.

They both also have a very....interesting time being parents early on. Babs is waiting to see if she'll feel what her mother must have felt that made her leave them in a huff and Yakko's struggling to come to terms with the fact that there was nothing wrong with him, his father just never wanted them. Basically they're looking for when another shoe will drop but it won't because they don't just love their kid, they wanted them. 

They got to make a choice their parents didn't.

I do have fankids for Babs and Yakko, both girls, both named after powerful women in art and history. Lucille Ophelia and Jacqueline Madeline. (If any of you know the Madeline namesake I will be impressed AF)

Lucille very strictly goes by Lu, call her Lucy and you die (unless you're Wakko. This kid plays favorites and he is it.) and she is a handful of a teenager. Sharp tongued and sharp witted.

Jackqueline, or Jackie, is 5 years younger and is so naive and sweet it hurts and she is Daddy's Girl capital D. Yes, at first they figured she was just masterful at the cuteness game like Dot was but as it turns out, she's got that Wakko style innocence.

Babs jokes that she's clearly actually Wakko's kid. (There is absolutely no possible way for that to be true. Which is why it's funny instead of suspicious.)

They have both watched Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures and just to piss off her dad, Lu says Tiny Toons is her favorite.

Skippy, like Dot, had a dance focus and so, in a few years' time, she's gonna run into him on the set of a music video. That'll be fun!

Babs and Yakko have pissed of more than one director for going off on what appear to be essentially joke tangents but it's actually the two of them attempting to out do each other until there's a clear winner. They are both spotlight hogging, competitive lil shits.

It's Babs' idea for Wakko to try fronting the band he's in and his bandmate get stupidly jealous and steals his girl....oops.

Dot is stupidly beautiful and very much lovable (wow. shocking.) And some poor poor blue bunny is gonna fall face first into a sitcom level affair....and since he can't tell either of his best bros about it he ends up drunkenly calling Babs who just laughs her ass off the whole time.

Yakko can play chess in his head. Like...he doesn't need the board. He can just keep track of the pieces. (Honestly, having to be so damn smart is a complex brought on the physical and verbal abuse from his father.)

Wakko....honestly, as smart as he can be and as righteous as he is, he has that Warner independence streak something bad after touring. He tries a bit much and ends up starting a fight with someone and long story short, he's caught with that twink stuff from Family (unfortunate name tbh basically, think crack.) 

Yakko is obviously beside himself and Dot is more or less oblivious as she's at university at this point. Basically, shit hits the fan and the brothers split. 

Dot tries to keep in touch with Wakko but he severs the connection from both his sibs.

Wakko does get clean. He also falls in love with a remarkable human toon named Jesse.

He’s also still friends with Foghorn, who is actually a pretty great support in all of this.

I headcanon Wakko as demi homosexual.

Much to her own surprise, Babs LOVES being a mom. 

Yakko struggles with partnership. A lot of what goes into being a parent are things he’s already experienced and he has a hard time NOT being a know it all and actually partnering with his wife....it’s a fun dynamic.

Yakko also still has a crush on Max Goof that he SWORE he was over but after seeing him at random very much IS NOT.

It's not just Wakko making horrible choices btw. Sorry this was meant to be the cute stuff....uh....

Both Yakko and Wakko walk with their sister at her wedding (told you things will circle back!)

I stopped in front of the Stage One door, looking up at the massive building in front of me. The last month had led up to this very day. I was hired on by Warner Brothers to be the Personal Assistant to Jared Padalecki while he filmed in Vancouver. Even though being a PA was a horrible job, working on the set of my favorite TV show was a dream. I had spent my days leading up to my moving to Vancouver training my inner fangirl to be a normal human being.

“Remember they eat, breath, poop just like any other human.” I whispered to myself on the plane ride from my hometown.

“Girl, please! They are sculpted from marble by the hand of God himself. Just don’t embarrass us in front of them. Make a good impression!” She commanded as if I had any control over that.

Now, standing in front of the main sound stage, my stomach coiled into an anxious knot. Trembling I took a step forward through the door and found myself looking into the Men of Letters Bunker. My inner fangirl squealed with delight urging my body to walk through the set.

“Can I help you?” A tall, dark haired man stood with a camera rig around his waist.

I cleared my throat of the large lump forming within it, “Yeah, my name is (Y/N) and it’s my first day as a PA. The studio told me to go to Stage One when I arrived this morning.”

He smiled a soft chuckle coming from his chest, “Oh you must be Jared’s new wrangler. Here I will show you where to go.”

I followed him to a small office building that had on site office staff and writers housed. He pointed me in the direction of Susan, the executive assistant to Jim Michaels. She was on the phone as she waved me into her office. Standing off to the side was another woman with long, wavy blonde hair. Her fit body was covered by a simple pair of dark jeans, soft chocolate sweater and black knee high boots.

She stuck her hand out towards me, “Hi, I’m Ash. You must be Jared’s new PA.”

Shaking her hand I nodded, “I’m (Y/N).”

“I’m so excited you’re here. Now I don’t have to keep my eyes on both of them. I’m Jensen’s PA so you’ll be hanging with me quite a bit.”

Susan ended her call smiling up at the both of us, “Fantastic, you’re here! I will go with you to meet Jared and then you can shadow Ash for this week. How did your move go?”

“As well as could be expected moving from Kansas to Vancouver. My apartment is amazing.” It was the truth. The apartment Warner Brothers provided was twice the size of the one I had in Kansas.

Ash chuckled, “Yeah it’s nice until you have two Texans crashing your place at all hours.”

My eyes must have widened because both ladies began to laugh, “I haven’t told anyone that you are a fan, (Y/N).”

“Oh… yeah…” I felt my cheeks burning and my inner fangirl was doing cartwheels.

“We’ll keep that between us for now. Jensen and Jared will eat you alive if they found out that juicy piece of information.” Ash chuckled as I noticed Susan flinch slightly.

They led me back towards the row of trailers, the first of which, they stopped and knocked on the door. My heart was beating against my chest and my hands began to shake as the door opened. There stood Jared Padalecki in all his 6’4” glory. His chestnut hair damp from a shower, his light gray t-shirt clinging to his sculpted body and the waistband of his boxers peeking out from his low hanging jeans.

I sucked in a shaky breath making Ash chuckled beside me

“Jared this is your new PA, (Y/N). Be nice.” Susan warned, narrowing her eyes at him.

His laughter echoed around them, “I’m always nice. It’s great to meet you (Y/N). Susan and Jim have told me great things about you. Hopefully, we’ll be great friends.” He held out his hand to me.

When I placed mine in his, the heat coming off of it surprised me. The corner of his lips curling upward into a sly smirk. His hazel eyes caught my attention as flecks of emerald and sapphire seemed to shine. He let go of her hand taking a step towards Ash then leaning down to kiss her kiss.

“Now I see why you needed a new PA.” I mentioned as they both smiled at me, “I look forward to working and getting to know you.”

“Me as well. Are you taking her to meet grumpy pants?” Jared looked at Susan who brow was furrowed at the interaction.

Ash groaned, “Oh no, I thought after last night he would be in a better mood.”

Looking from Susan to Ash it seemed everyone was in on the secret except me, “I’m sure we don’t need to bother him before filming. I can always meet him another time.”

“I’ll take her over to meet him. I need to check in with him anyway and it will be a good experience for her.” Ash reached up giving Jared a quick kiss then stepping away from him.

“I think you have this under control, so if you need anything (Y/N) just come to my office. Please check in with me when you’re done with your day.” Susan did not wait for a reply and walked back towards the offices.

Jared chuckled, “You’d think after all this time that she would be used to us. Ugh!” Ash smacked him in the stomach giving him a stern look.

“Come on (Y/N), let’s go meet Jensen.” Ash and I waved goodbye to Jared.

We walked a couple of trailers down and again my heart began to race. I tried taking a few deep breaths to calm down but the moment she knocked on the door all the air in my lungs vanished. The door opened and Jensen Ackles looked down at us.

“Ash, why so early?” His velvet voice sent shivers down my body.

A slight breeze blew past us and his lean body went rigid. His bright olive eyes darkened to a deep forest green. His fists were clenched at his sides and I could see his arms trembling. Jensen narrowed his menacing gaze at me freezing me in place.

“Go. Away. Now.” He seethed going back into his trailer and slamming the door.

Wide eyed and stunned, I turned to Ash who was looking perplexed, “(Y/N) why don’t you go to craft services. Tell them you want Jared’s usually breakfast and bring it back to his trailer. I will meet you there.”

“O-Okay.”

Ash directed me to where craft services were and the wonderful owners started chuckling when I asked for Jared’s usual. I carefully balanced three cups of coffee atop of three styrofoam containers filled to the brim with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, muffins and a small cup of fruit. Before I could knock, Ash opened the door to let me inside.

“Great job! My first day, I spilled the coffee.” Ash began to open the containers taking some food for herself and one of the coffees.

She handed another one to me with a soft smile, “Where’s Jared?”

“He’ll be back. He’s having a heart to heart with Jensen. For today, I would just stay clear of him.” I nodded sipping my coffee as Jared came back in frowning.

The morning and afternoon flew by as the guys began filming. Taking Ash’s advice, I made sure to stay out of Jensen’s way and even his line of sight. Not that it mattered because he was permanently in a foul mood for the day. Finally, around six o’clock Ash sent me to see Susan saying she could handle the rest of the evening filming.

Making my way to the offices, I had not seen Jensen for a while and as I made my way to Susan’s office I could hear his velvet voice coming from Jim Michaels’ office.

“She has to go.” He hissed, my heart dropping to my stomach.

There was a long sigh, “She comes highly recommended and honestly she is over qualified to even be a PA. She’s smart, talented and in need of getting her foot in the door. You better than anyone know that starts from the lower level. Did she do something or see something?”

Jensen let out a dark chuckle, “She hasn’t seen anything. She seems naive.”

“Then what’s the problem Jensen?”

There was a long pause before he answered, “She exists, that's the problem.”

I had heard enough and walked towards Susan’s door knocking before entering her office. She was packing up for the day when she looked up smiling at me, “How’d it go?”

I put on my best smile, “Jared and Ash are great. Even Misha behaved himself.”

“Jensen?” She inquired looking as if she were trying to see under my mask.

I squared my shoulders back determined to make this work, “Fine. I know my place and will keep my distance. He’s not who I have to worry about, so all that matters is how I keep Jared on time and in line.”

Susan seemed impressed by my answer then pulled out a manila envelope from her briefcase, “Legal didn’t have this drawn up at the time of your hiring. You will need to read this over and sign it by tomorrow morning.”

I took it from her, “Of course. I will have it for you first thing in the morning. Have a good night.”

Walking out of her office, I made sure Jensen was nowhere in sight. Feeling confident he was gone, I made my way towards my car. Looking down towards the ground as I walked past the row of trailers, I did not notice the black SUV behind me. The honk startled me as I tripped over my own feet landing firmly on my ass.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you. Just needed you to move over a little.” I recognized the driver as Jared and Jensen’s bodyguard/driver, Clif.

The back window slid down as I stood up and Jensen’s dark eyes pierced through me. As they began to pull away I swore I heard a low hiss coming from him. I hurried to my car and drove off the lot as fast as I could. It was not until I was on the highway that my fired nerves finally started to calm down. I knew there was nothing special about me but having my favorite actor despise me sapped all hope out of my heart.

Once I was parked in my spot at my apartment building, I was standing at the elevator when the doors slid open revealing once again the gorgeous man who seemingly hated me.

“Are you following me?” He asked, walking directly at me glaring.

I stepped back, “No I-I’m not. The studio is renting an apartment for me here. I h-had no idea you lived here until Ash mentioned it this morning.”

He ran his hand over his sandy, brown hair, “Why did you take this job?”

His question took me by surprise for a moment, deciding honesty was the best policy, “I wanted to be a part of my favorite show and I wanted to learn more about the business. No better way than to start at ground level and work my way up.”

“Favorite show, huh? So, you like monsters?” He chuckled as if he had told himself a joke.

“The monsters are cool, I guess. I’m more invested in the story of the brothers. Plus there’s no romance in Supernatural which is nice.” I watched as his shoulders relaxed briefly.

His eyes glanced around then came back to me, “You don’t like a love story?”

“No. I’ve had my heart broken too many times. I’d rather escape into a world of monsters than deal with matters of the heart.” My own heart betraying me as it thumped against my ribs.

Standing in front of him now, Jensen was truly striking. His sharp facial features, fair skin, plump red lips and muscular body had my own body aching in ways it had not in years. He was beautiful.

“I should go.” He abruptly left walking off towards the street.

As soon as he was out of sight, I sucked in a deep breath willing my body to move towards the elevator. That night my dreams were filled with dark alleyways and forest green eyes.

Over the next several weeks, I fell into a regular routine on set with Jared and Ash. I kept to my word that I avoided Jensen at any cost, but had noticed he was continually coming around me more. At first, I thought it was just because of Jared, but then I noticed he was coming around when he was not needed on set.

My inner fangirl was urging and encouraging me to talk to him. Then my first time meeting Jensen flashed through my mind and kept me far away from him. The last day of filming for the week was a night shoot. Ash and I were constantly running to get coffee for ourselves and the crew to stay warm. Jared every once in a while would pull us both into a bear hug allowing his body heat to warm us up. We were in the middle of a forest as Jared and Misha were filming a scene and I was trying everything in my power not to chatter my teeth.

“You’re going to freeze to death.” His smooth voice brought heat to my cheeks.

I pulled my coat around me tighter, “I-I’ll be al-alright.”

His perfect lips pursed together before he slid his jacket off his shoulders, “Here take this,” He stepped just close enough to drape his large jacket over my shoulders.

“T-Thank you.” I slipped my arms inside surprised that it was slightly chilled still.

We stood there in silence watching as Jared purposely messed with Misha’s takes, “Children.” Jensen muttered as I chuckled.

In a rare moment I witnessed him smile brief and my inner fangirl sighed gracefully falling onto a lounge chair, “You have a great smile. It’s nice to see it.”

Jensen rolled his eyes, “Yes well, I’ve recently come to the realization that instead of trying to fight fate I should just embrace her cruel destiny.”

I raised an eyebrow at him confused, but decided it was better I remain silent. What did he mean by fighting fate? What destiny? My heart began to race as hope filled my chest. There was something about the way he had been acting and what he said that gave me hope he was talking about me. The director wrapped for the night and we made the trip back to the studio.

Just as my luck has always been, when I got to my car it would not start. I was one of the last people to leave the studio in the early hours of the morning. Trying to decide if it was worth calling a cab or just sleeping in my car. I was leaning towards the latter of the two.

“Everything okay?”

I yelped turning quickly to see Jensen stopped in his car, “Jesus, you scared me.”

He chuckled before shutting his car off and coming towards mine. He lifted the hood and began checking through everything, “Looks like it could be your starter or alternator. We can have one of the mechanics look at it Monday morning.”

I sighed heavily, “Great… just great.”

“Come on, I can give you a ride back to our building.” His genuine smile dazzled me for a moment as he closed up my car and went to open the door to his car for me, “(Y/N)?”

“Um, yeah that would be great. Thank you.” I got into his car shivering from how cold it was inside.

Jensen turned on the heat and took off down the main street towards the highway. His large hands gripped the steering wheel tightly but the rest of his body seemed relaxed. A wave of fear crashed into a wave of excitement of being in close proximity to him. My inner fangirl and mine’s curiosity was getting the better of us from earlier.

“What did you mean by embracing fate’s cruel destiny?” I thought maybe he had not heard me as a silent tension filled the air between us.

“Did you sign the NDA they drew up for you?” Answering a question with a question was a pet peeve of mine but I let it slide.

I turned slightly in my seat, “Yes, though I don’t understand why I needed to sign one. It was clearly stated in my new hire paperwork not to speak of any upcoming episodes or scripts.”

Again, his soft laughter had an edge to it, “The NDA has nothing to do with the show or network. It is something our managers and agents have in place to protect us.”

“You mean protect you and Jared? Why would you two need protecting?” Suddenly images of Jensen starring in his very own version of Fifty Shades of Grey filled my mind and my cheeks burned.

We were approaching our exit and I knew my time would be up with him, but I did not want to leave. He remained silent until he parked in his space within our garage. He turned towards me, his eyes downcast and shoulders slumped forward. If I had not known any better, I would have thought he was upset or in pain.

“Jensen, anything you or Jared would tell me or I would see would strictly be between us. I don’t need a NDA to keep private matters private. I have more respect for both of you that I would never want anyone running your names through the mud of public opinion.”

I reached out my fingers briefly brushing against the back of his smooth skin. A small gasp escaped my lips from how cold he was even with his heater on. He pulled his hand away from me quickly getting out of his car. I followed him towards the main street where he finally stopped.

“I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean…” He held up his hand to silence me.

Turning back towards me, his eyes were dark once again but not threatening unlike when we first met. No, there was something else. Something I did not recognize, but it made my heart race with anticipation.

“Tomorrow, I promise to explain everything. I will come by to get you around ten o’clock.” Jensen hesitantly brushed the back of his fingers against my cheek and instinctively I gravitated towards his embrace.

He quickly took off down the sidewalk leaving me with a million questions and yearning I had never felt before. In a daze I made up to my apartment and into my bed. Sleep did not come easy and when it did my dreams were vivid, sensual.

True to his word, there was a knock on my door at ten o’clock on the dot. I opened my door inviting him in as I finished getting ready.

“I’m sorry about my place being a mess.” I mumbled going back into my room to grab my coat.

I heard me laugh, “Quite alright, I mean Jared’s place is a pigsty.”

When I walked back out, I watched as his bright olive eyes traveled the length of my body. I nervously fidget with the strings on my coat as a slow smirk spread across his face. Jensen was dressed in a simple black hoodie, dark denim pants and black boots. A pair of dark Ray Bans hanging from the collar of his hoodie. Even dressed down he looked like a runway model.

We walked to the elevator, an empty car arriving, and as we stepped in the tension between us was nearly unbearable. I shifted from one foot to the next avoiding his intense gaze. With lightning speed, Jensen had me caged against the wall and his lips pressed against my throat.

“Jen-Jensen…” I sighed breathlessly as he dragged his nose up my neck to under my ear.

“Dammit, I promised myself I would not lose control around you, but…” he paused taking a deep breath in making my legs tremble, “you smell divine.”

As quickly as the moment had happened it was over as the elevator doors opened. Jensen was on the other side of the car looking unphased by what had happened. Whereas I was trying to remember how to breath and walk at the same time. His low chuckle and smug smirk made me smack his rock hard bicep.

“Ow.” I muttered making him laugh even harder. The pain was worth it to hear his musical laughter.

Instead of going to the garage, Jensen led me towards the sidewalk. He slid his dark sunglasses over his beautiful eyes and pulled his hood up over his head. I figured this was so no one would recognize him from the show. We walked side by side towards a nearby park. Our hands would brush against one another until finally he took mine in his pulling me closer to him. Leading me to a spot just off the Vancouver Harbor.

The sun was shining bright warming my skin then a cold breeze from the water would make me shiver. We sat at a clear spot sitting silently next to one another staring out over the water. Jensen gently pulled me into his side and draped his arm around my shoulder.

“Well, this is much better than when I first met you.” I whispered leaning my head on his shoulder.

I felt him press his lips and nose against the top of my head inhaling deeply, “Yes, well when we first met I wasn’t expecting you to be so… appealing.”

I sat up looking at him, “What does that mean? I feel like you are talking around me and I don’t like that.”

He sighed, pulling his hood down further as the sun shined brightly over us, “It’s only because the truth would send you running far, far away.”

“I told you, anything you tell me is between us. You have my word and a signed NDA for a safety net.” My inner fangirl and I were desperate to know what secret he was holding back. She was practically jumping on the lounger within my mind.

“When Eric Kripke came up with the idea of Supernatural, he had no idea how close to being right he was.” He pulled his sunglasses down his piercing out looking over them.

I swallowed the small lump lodge in my throat, “So you’re saying that supernatural creatures are real or that hunters are real?”

He smiled, pushing his glasses back up, “I guess hunters could be real, but then humans would have to acknowledge the fact that monsters were real.”

“Monsters… like you?” Suddenly a lot of his behaviors were making sense even if my mind could not wrap around the fact that monsters were real.

He nodded, “Does that scare you?”

“No.” My answer came quick and firm. I was not afraid of him. I knew he would never harm me. Somewhere deep within my heart and soul, I knew I was right where I belonged.

“You should be. I’m a dangerous creature even more so than Jared.” He looked out towards the water, “Mainly because Jared is just a big dog. All cute and cuddly as Ash would say.”

“Jared is a… werewolf?” I could not quite believe the words coming from my mouth, but his nod answered my question, “Then you are…”

Jensen faced me baring his teeth as his fangs grew slightly longer than the rest. I sucked in a breath as he closed his mouth, “Now you’re afraid.”

“No. More mesmerized than anything. You’re… you’re a vampire.” The awe in my voice could not be helped. I spent most of my life reading grand tales of mythical creatures and humans falling in love with them. Now, I was in the middle of my own fairytale.

He scoffed, “Mesmerized? I’m an undead murderer and you're in awe of it.” He looked away in disgust.

“I’m in awe of you. You’re obviously drawn to my scent and yet here you sit next to me. You could have ended me at any time these last few weeks but you haven’t. Hell, in the elevator that could have been it, but all you did was… kiss my neck. I’m in awe of your strength and will power.”

Jensen's expression softened and he pulled me back into his side, “It’s difficult being around you. When I first met you, I had never wanted a human so much in my life. First it was my primal need, but now…”

“Now what?” My heart skipped a beat as hope filled my chest.

“Now, I have this overwhelming need to protect you and be by your side always.” His jaw clenched as he spoke the words.

I reached up brushing my hand against his cheek, “Why is that so hard for you to say?”

He leaned into my touch, “Loving me is a death sentence. The thought of losing you is insufferable.”

Jensen’s forehead pressed against mine as I whispered, “We found each other. That’s all that matters.”

“You’re ridiculous, you know that right?” He chuckled, easily lifting me onto his lap and wrapping his arms around me.

“I’ve been called worse. Tell me more about your life.”

For the next several hours, Jensen told me all about his life from his rebirth in 1920 to how he and Jared became best friends. I hung on every word of every story he told and it was not until my stomach began to growl from hunger that he finally stopped.

“You should eat.” He easily picked me up as he stood and set my feet on the ground.

I looked away from him, the anxiety building in my chest knowing we would have to part ways soon. He laced his fingers through mine and led me back towards the main sidewalk. When we arrived at our building, I was having a difficult time keeping the tears that threatened to fall back. Once again, as we stepped into the elevator, the air tightened around us.

“What is it about elevators?” he muttered making me laugh as the very thought had gone through my head.

When we went past my floor, I looked over and saw a smile on his face. We stopped at the very top floor both sighing as we exited the elevator. He pulled out his keys and opened the door for apartment 1520.

“I thought it was only fair if you saw my place as well.” Jensen held the door open for me as I walked in.

The layout was open and bright with one wall being all windows. His furniture was dark gray with steel blue and navy accent pillows. He had a big flat screen TV with a few game consoles. What caught her by surprise was the wall of records and record player he had. I turned back around to see him anxiously watching me.

“Not what I expected from a vampire.” I walked towards his flawless kitchen and looked untouched which I guess was to be expected.

“Were you expecting a coffin and velvet?” His smile was infectious as I nodded.

Taking off my coat, I sat down on his couch as he walked off towards his bedroom. Jensen came back in with his tablet and a blanket. He placed the blanket over my and sat next to me.

“Order whatever you would like for dinner. Don’t worry about paying for it because I insist.” He chuckled as I rolled my eyes.

Deciding to order from my favorite pizza place I handed him the tablet to put his payment information in, “What do you eat?”

“Finally! The question I have been waiting for all day.” He exclaimed, “Are you sure you want to know?”

I nodded, “If I’m diving head first into oblivion then I want to know everything.”

“Brave woman. I still drink blood, but that which is donated. There are certain organizations within the acting community that are set up for actors such as myself. We go to grab our supply of ‘food’ and then we store it in our homes.” He pointed back towards the refrigerator, “All of it is from blood drives once the hospital receives its share then we buy the remainder.”

It was better than him stealing blood like Benny in Supernatural or drinking animal blood like Edward in Twilight, “Oh okay then. At least I won’t be surprised if I open the fridge now.”

There was a sad undertone in his laugh, but I chose to ignore it, “What about Jared and Ash?”

“Ash is human, but she seemingly blossomed at the end of last season. Jared was immediately drawn to her and they spent most of the summer at his cabin near Red Rock Point, Montana.” Jensen bit his lip smirking.

“Why?” I knew there was more to what he was saying but he seemed almost embarrassed to speak of it.

He sighed pulling me closer to him, “If you had asked me that question a month ago I would have given you a snarky answer about not being able to control his inner animal, but now… now I know better.”

I leaned my head against his shoulder, “Meaning…”

“Every few months, Jared would go into what he calls a rut. His need to procreate becomes overwhelming and he has to be off on his own as a wolf to deal with it. Now, he found his mate and one weekend a month they will go off to his cabin to… you know…”

My inner fangirl was begging on her knees for Jensen to say the words out loud but I just nodded, “I get it. Why is it now that you know better than before?”

I looked up into his shining eyes captivated as he leaned closer to me, “Because now I know exactly how Jared felt when he found Ash.”

His perfect full lips were inching closer to mine. My tongue darted out over them just before his were going to touch them then his door intercom buzzed. A small growl escaped his lips as he quickly got up buzzing the delivery man in. I found myself trying to take deep breaths to collect myself as my inner fangirl was hyperventilating.

“Dinner is served.” He said placing the box down on the table.

“I’m not hungry right now.” I said as he sat back down next to me.

He laughed, “Eat before the alien in your stomach pops out and eats the pizza for you.”

I narrowed my eyes at him before lifting the box open and grabbing a slice. Settling back into his side, he turned on his Netflix account. His fingertips trailing down my arm as I took a bite.

As I was taking a second bite he leaned in whispering into my ear, “There will be plenty of time to test my will power later.”

I shivered, truly no longer hungry for food. I placed the piece of pizza back in the back turning towards him, “What would happen if I took initiative and kissed you?”

He turned into a stone statue as he stared at me, “That would be a very dangerous thing to do.” He spoke slowly with a hint of challenge in his tone.

My inner fangirl was cheering me on as I pushed the blanket onto the floor and swung my leg over his lap sitting on his thighs. His ice cold hands gripped my hips as I leaned down my lips hovering his. There was a brief moment where time stood still then it was as if a rubber band snapped. His lips crashed against me and his arms wrapped around my waist holding me against him. He groaned as if in pain and I pulled away from him.

“Since I’m breaking all my rules and going to hell…” He whispered and in a flash we were both tumbling onto his bed.

That night was the best one of my life. Jensen may be a primal killer but with me he was nothing short of a gentle lover. I knew from that moment, I would do anything to remain at his side forever. Just like every cliche movie or book trope where the meek, naive woman falls in love with a monster that has a heart gold. I found myself in their exact shoes desiring an everlasting love affair with a vampire.

On Monday, when Jensen and I arrived at the studio, Jared and Ash were waiting by his trailer. No words were spoken between them but by the smiles on their faces I could tell they knew what was going on between Jensen and I.

“You owe me twenty bucks Padalecki.” I heard Ash as Jared grumbled.

Jensen and I laughed as we walked to the studio building to meet with the executive producers and legal team concerning our newly starting relationship together.
