O Valentine's Day foi com muito presente para os fãs. O diretor Todd Phillips liberou novas fotos oficiais de Coringa 2: Folie à Deux.

“Espero que seu dia seja cheio de amor”, disse o diretor na legenda das fotos de Joaquin Phoenix e Lady Gaga.

A produção conta com o retorno de Todd Phillips na direção e no roteiro, além de também contar a volta do corroteirista, Scott Silver. Apesar de poucas informações sobre a trama, a produção será ambientada no Asilo Arkham e terá elementos musicais. O filme também deixa o publico com muita expectativa para a atuação de Lady Gaga, que tem sido muito elogiada nos bastidores.

“Ela criará uma magia semelhante a de Joaquin”, disse o diretor de fotografia do filme.

O elenco conta com Joaquin Phoenix como Arthur Fleck/Coringa, Lady Gaga como Arlequina, Zazie Beetz como Sophie, além de Catherine Keener, Harry Lawtey, Jacob Lofland e Brendan Gleeson.

Harry Potter Web Series Likely to be Streamed on HBO Max in Seven Seasons

Prepare to visit Hogwarts once more, but on television this time. According to recent sources, Warner Bros. Discovery is in preliminary discussions with J.K. Rowling's team to make a new show inspired by her well-known books. The best-selling Harry Potter series will be picturized again for the streaming era. While she won't be the creator or showrunner, Rowling, who has stirred controversy in recent times with her remarks about transgender rights problems, will still have some creative control.

Bloomberg claims that rather than being an "in-universe offshoot" like the Fantastic Beasts movies, the series would be directly based on Rowling's books. According to reports, each season would take inspiration from one of the books, indicating that the studio will have a long-running franchise. Rowling will continue to have some creative input into the program under the terms of the agreement, but she would not be the principal creator or showrunner, according to a Variety report.

With the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001, Warner Bros. turned the seven-book fantasy series Harry Potter into an eight-part, worldwide phenomenon. The final film in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 was released in 2011 and brought in a combined $7.7 billion.

A spin-off prequel series following the Harry Potter movies was conceived; it debuted with the 2016 film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them but was shelved after the disappointing box office and critical reception of its sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, released the following year.

Over a decade after its conclusion, the film series continues to have a significant pop-culture influence, despite the conflicting views that the public still has of Rowling. Daniel Radcliffe, who played the title character in the Harry Potter film series, was joined by Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley.

Discovery Inc. is speeding up the launch of a combined HBO Max/Discovery+ streaming service, a decision that comes as the company is facing growing pressure on its traditional media businesses from cord-cutting and a slowdown in advertising. Speaking to analysts to discuss the company’s latest quarterly results, Chief Executive David Zaslav said: “While we have lots more work to do, and there are some difficult decisions still to be made, we have total conviction in the opportunity ahead,” adding that the as-yet unnamed service would become available in the U.S. in the spring, sooner than the previously announced summer release. The two services jointly added 2.8 million customers in during Q3 20222, said the company, which means the number of paid subscribers to WBD’s direct-to-consumer products has reached 94.9 million. There have also been extensive cost cuts and consolidation throughout the company. That is likely to continue as Warner Bros. Discovery WBD, -5.60%  raised its cost-synergy target to $3.5 billion from $3 billion. There have been more than 1,000 layoffs at Warner Bros. Discovery — whose holdings include movie and television studios, CNN and HBO, and Discovery channels such as Food Network and HGTV — over the past seven months, people familiar with the matter said, and that figure is expected to grow significantly during the next several months. Zaslav said the tough economy and business environment requires “difficult decisions we know are necessary to position our company for long-term growth and success. None of this is easy, and nothing happens overnight.” WBD also revealed it plans to launch a free ad-supported streaming platform next year, to compliment its fully paid as-yet-unnamed combined Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) service.
