infinity train is the only show i'm autistic about enough to really care about knowing who crew members are but i do think sekai murishige is so funny for the fact that he was like. a smaller voice actor getting into the industry, auditioning for season four hoping/expecting to land a few background lines. and then they come and dump an entire massive ten-episode script on him and tell him he's Gotten The Job. As The Main Character. and he responded by making his twitter icon himself hanging out with said main character and cosplaying said main character and also retweeting a bunch of really gay ship art of said character. like its in general endearing to see actor/VAs opinions on and feelings abt their characters but it's extra funny to watch a smaller VA get a surprisingly big role and just immediately be like ohhh ok this is my special guy now and btw we're hanging out

Yo so like, after watching Book 3, I think I wanna kinda just put my thoughts here on Simon because so far he’s been one of my fav characters because of how well written he is and I just wanna like, idk, ramble

i absolutely adore how Simon and Grace are essentially 2 sides of the same coin, but also fundamentally different, and this is how their paths diverge. i think a large part of why Grace was able to start her redemption is because of how much she loved kids, and making them feel less alone. She thrived off of taking in lonely souls and showing them a “better way.” She genuinely felt bad for Hazel and wanted what was “better” for her. This doesn’t excuse any of her stuff, but her general love and compassion for other kids is really was kickstarted her on her redemption.

Simon did not. Not to say he didn’t care about Apex, but I don’t think he cared for the kids themselves. He cared about GRACE. He cared because she cared. If she had taken his hand and said “let’s leave this all behind” I’m sure he would have followed her. So while Grace is bonding with Hazel and learning to be ok with Tuba, all Simon sees is a distraction and someone holding them back. He also sees Grace not as enthusiastic to get rid of Tuba and keeps putting off killing her.

Now, about Tuba’s death. I see a lot of people marking this as the moment they started to hate him, and they’re not wrong, this was the key point where he became irredeemable. But I want everyone to take a step back and look at what we’ve seen so far. We know his backstory with Samantha, and i think everyone believes that’s the only reason he hates denizens. That could be the MAIN reason, but I don’t think it’s the ONLY reason. Remember why they were running in the first place? Because there was a bug denizen chasing them. We know from Book 1 that these big monsters are actually the creatures that inhabit the train. I think there is a big chance that he witnessed a denizen transform in front of him, and try to attack him. This is also supported when Grace has to explain to hazel why she doesn’t like them, she says “they’re unpredictable.” What’s that supposed to mean? Using context clues, I think they’re aware al the denizens are actually those soul sucking creatures. Yeah, no wonder they don’t feel anything for them when they die. As far as they’re concerned, they could turn and kill them at any minute.

Also, i’d like to bring up Book 2, when we’re first introduced to Simon and Grace. When they’re trying to recruit Jesse, they planned on killing Lake off to “help” him. Look at just how many kids are in Apex. What’s the likelihood that a majority of them befriended a denizen that they later had to sacrifice for initiation? This isn’t the first time they’ve done something like this. They’ve done this a LOT, possibly hundreds of times. Tuba’s death to Simon was just another day of initiation. Does it make it any less wrong? Of course not, he fully had the capacity to bond and redeem himself just as Grace had, and they even got along right before her death. But in Simon’s eyes, he was too far gone, Tuba was a dangerous creature holding them back and he finally found the perfect opportunity to get rid of her like they‘d always done. Grace’s horror is what’s new to him. Her acting shocked, disgusted, scared? She’s never done that before. She’s always planned it, egged it on, encouraged it, PRAISED him for this behavior. And note what he says to her after the job is done!! “Let’s see how high OUR marks have gotten.” He knew Grace was insecure about her number lowering, and did something he usually got praised for, and even thought it’d help her. It wasn’t a selfish betrayal (sort of, I also partially believe he did it to get on Grace’s good side again) but he also did it because he knew how down she’d been.

I also just wanna say Grace should have communicated better with him. I don’t know if things would have turned out better or different, but a lot of his later actions were derived from her dishonesty and her distancing himself from him. She never told Simon what she was thinking. She never told him about her hesitation. She never let him in on anything. Instead? She chose a denizen over him. She decided to change and grow and expected Simon to follow suit. He isn’t a mind reader, how the hell was he supposed to know plans had changed and he was meant to keep Tuba alive? How was he meant to know?

This doesn’t make any of his actions ok. Trusting the cat over Grace and trapping her in her own mind? There’s no ”justifying” that (not that I’m trying to justify) but I think I’ve reached a level of understanding with his character. A lot of what happens is because he’s been left in the dark. Yes, he had the opportunity to change and it is his fault for not taking action, but I think a moment that struck a nerve with me is when Grace said “I’m not responsible for your problems, I don’t owe you anything.” She’s right, she’s not responsible for him not bettering himself.

She’s not responsible for his betrayal. She’s not responsible for his jealousy over Hazel. But you know what she is responsible for? Shoving this ideology down his throat, refusing to communicate, and then acting disgusted and lashing out at him for doing everything she’s ever taught him. She’s the one that taught him a higher number was better. She’s the one that’s always took command/control. She’s praised him for shitty behaviors and when she sees the result of it? It’s not her problem. I completely understood when Simon screamed out “YOU OWE ME EVERYTHING.”

No, she doesn’t owe him everything, but her toxicity towards him is a major factor into why he turned out how he did. Treating people like shit and then saying it’s not your problem when it affected them? (Btw, I’m NOT a grace hater and do not believe she is the source of all his problems, clearly he is his own person and has the capacity to grow as well, but saying she doesn’t owe him anything?? Not even an apology for lying and keeping secrets?? that’s what mainly struck a nerve.)

Also, I wanna bring up another moment that I think solidified hate for him. When Grace saved him, and he tried wheeling her. I can also understand why he did this. Is it right? No, obviously no it’s not ok. But I think the reason he chose to shove her off is because when he asked “why did you save me?” Her response was “I don’t know.” You don’t know? You don’t know why you were compelled to save your number 1 friend for years? Someone who stuck with you through thick and thin, clung to every word you said, and did everything you asked? You don’t know why you saved him? Even after everything? In such an emotional and high tensity moment, I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same. Again, not something he should have done, but it’s something I can understand. If my scorned ex best friend saved my life and said they didn’t know why, I’d probably feel angry too.

anyways yeah, he’s still a shit person but he’s complex and i think a large reason why his character works so well is because of how well he is written. He did horrible things but there was always a reason, it was never ”mwuahaha, I’m evil now.” And that’s what I love about Infinity Train. Everyone feels so real. I was reading your answers and... why is zendaya not mary jane w?? when you said it i never really thought about this because i was more excited about infinity war and the avengers but now... its the last spiderman movie and we know nothing about her character? i thought she was supposed to be something new and big like z said? whats going on??? 

Well, first of all, I would give Zendaya the original title of Mary-Jane Watson, I still believe it was racist not to give her this position. From what I understand, there was a rumor going around (2016) that the reason they didn’t give her the MJ title is because Stan Lee had it contracted that they couldn't race swap Mary Jane or Peter Parker, so they changed her name to Michelle Jones and made a different character while treating her as their version of what is supposed to be a homage to the comic character. The thing is, Marvel fought Sony really hard to get Peter into the MCU (in their own terms), so why not offer the lead lady the same treatment? I’m pretty sure they would do it for Gwyneth or Elizabeth Olsen. Also, the rumor doesn’t make sense because Stan Lee himself said this about the situation: ‘If she is as good an actress as I hear she is, I think it’ll be absolutely wonderful’

Gwyneth Paltrow is Pepper Potts and her character is called Pepper Potts. Scarlett Johansson is Natasha Romanoff and she’s called Natasha or Black Widow. Natalie Portman is Jane Foster and the character is called Jane Foster. Why change Zendaya’s character? 

‘She's not Mary Jane Watson. She never was Mary Jane Watson. She was always this new high school character, Michelle, who we know there's an 'M' in Michelle and an 'M' in Mary.’ - Kevin Feige.

‘She’s not Mary Jane, she’s this weird girl.’ - Tom Holland. 

In every interview, I feel second-hand embarrassment for her when the interviewers ask about character development for Michelle and she has to make mental gymnastics to answer and every time the convo comes back to romance and Peter; how Peter makes her feel, how she behaves around Peter, how Peter’s life is, how her character revolves around him. Even if Zendaya wanted to play the ‘I’m not like the other girls’ quirky loner girl, she could’ve been Mary Jane with that personality too. And what I’m going to share next is just my opinion and nothing is confirmed (just making sure because some people lack common sense lmao) I believe they fooled Zendaya and told her she created this original revolutionary character for girls, where Zendaya in almost all interviews states that ‘it’s ok to be weird, to not be like the other people and it’s fine to be’ etc, etc. But the thing is, that individualism and character traits she’s putting into the character don’t really matter because her character was treated as a love interest only. She couldn’t explore that individual part of her character because she’s written as ‘Peter’s observant’ friend and that is not a trait. Look at what they actually made her believe:

"My character is not romantic," Zendaya replied when asked if she would romance Peter on-screen. "My character is, like, very dry. Awkward. Intellectual. And because she's so smart, she just feels like she doesn't need to talk to people."

"I was lucky because they already kind of wanted to re-create the character and turn her into a new version of what I think maybe the original Mary Jane character represented, and just do it in our own way in this Marvel Cinematic Universe." - Zendaya. (Well, the MCU also has their own version of Peter Parker and they don’t call him Perkin Park; a homage to Peter Parker lmaoooo)

She went there thinking she would have a badass intellectual female character only to end up being the love interest without background, development or storyline. Let’s for a moment compare her to one of the extra characters, like Betty (no offence lmao) or some other decathlon kid; what’s the real difference between her and them? An intellectual is a person who engages in critical thinking; Betty and the other kids are like that too given the kind of school they attend. Awkward? All kids are like that. Smart? lmaooo same as before, they’re in a school full of smart people. She knew Peter was Spider-Man and that makes her special? She said she wasn’t even 100% sure about it and was surprised when Peter confirmed LMAO Betty was suspecting this in FFH, some of his classmates knew something was going on with him to the point one of them thought he was a male escort. There’s no real difference except that she’s playing Peter’s girlfriend. 

And I happen to think all of this is because fans don’t care about that development or the fact that a black character could be a lead lady with an interesting plot (just like they did with Tessa Thompson in Thor, Natalie Portman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, etc). She’s been playing this character for 4 years and Michelle has 0 character development, no storyline, no background. How is that something they could use as a way to bring depth into the character? They can’t, because they didn’t actually care about the things Zendaya mentioned, they wanted her stardom and popularity to boost the movie. The fact that people started shipping her with Tom Holland helped to that reputation and promotion.

I would do exactly this: MCU’s what if’s + Michelle Jones is Nick Fury’s niece. Now, THIS is an interesting storyline, where a teenage girl is Fury’s niece, not exactly an agent but someone with a vast knowledge of espionage. This would explain why she was stalking Peter without taking away the fact that she might have a little crush on him and this line;

MJ: I don’t really have much luck when it comes to getting close to people. Um… so I lied. I wasn’t just watching you ‘cause I thought you were Spider-Man.

would’ve been more interesting with that plot in mind. This with the fact that Fury is probably training her to be an agent or to be the next director of SHIELD in the future, not only this allows her to form a much deeper connection with Peter (who is Spider-Man and struggles with a double life and responsibilities) but it would give her character depth, and a particular insight that the other spider-man girls didn’t have (this would attribute to the ‘not like the other girls’). This could’ve been done without removing the personality traits Zendaya wanted in Michelle.

Fury was involved in the second movie and this would allow their weird contract to keep someone from the avengers or related to them in the movies without having to make Happy or any others participate in them. If they wanted an original character they would’ve given her a better position in it but they didn’t, the real reason they changed her name is because dudebros and extreme comic fans couldn’t stand the thought of having a black girl as a female lead in a Spider-Man movie. They wouldn’t dare to ruin their perfect comic book MJ image, which, btw, Zendaya could’ve pulled off as well. 

As Kevin said;

‘And then I think it leaked that she would be playing MJ and then it became a whole headache for Zendaya to have to navigate. It was never a big, 'Oh my God, it's a big reveal!' There are big reveals in the movie. That's not one of them’ - Kevin.

Why should it be a headache for her? Why didn’t they fight for her character instead of avoiding the real problem? lmaoo this is clearly Marvel having fear of a big backlash that shouldn’t exist in the first place. Her skin color shouldn't be a big thing that she has to deal with or navigate through.

This could even allow her character to have a disney+ series to explore more about her and Fury’s family. I hope that No Way Home gives her character more screen time in terms of her independent development but as I’ve said before, I highly doubt this is possible if NWH is the last standalone spiderman movie in the MCU. 

You have Zendaya wishing to see a black Mary Jane; 

Zendaya would love to see a black Mary Jane, even if she doesn't play her. "People are going to react over anything, but of course there's going to be outrage over that because for some reason some people just aren't ready." 

You see this, along with Laura Harrier thinking that she was afraid Disney wouldn’t allow her to be in the same movie as Zendaya because she believed Disney would never handle two black girls in the same movie and still think there’s nothing wrong with the way they handled things? Only because of the typical opinion: ‘these are high school sweethearts, she’s only there to be a cute character and they already have too much diversity in the cast, it’s not that deep’ lmao

1. He is so supportive of Peter being Spiderman

He wants to help out Peter with all his heart by being the guy in the chair

Hacks a multimillion dollar suit made by TONY STARK himself and switches off the training wheels programme for him

Ditches a school dance(which btw is probably a really big deal for high school students) to help out Peter

Sticks around at Liz’s party waiting for Peter even though he doesn’t know anybody except for him even when PETER left him to go stop Vulture

Tells a TEACHER that he’s watching PORN to cover up for him

Oh and remember that scene where Ned wants to build the lego death star with Peter but Peter said ‘But I can’t because I have the Stark internship’? He’s clearly sad that his best friend can’t spend as much time with him but still is happy for Peter that he got this great opportunity

And in Infinity war he creates a distraction for Peter just like that not even asking a single question

He literally has a heart of gold

2. He is also supportive of Peter’s love life(even though it doesn’t look like it)

In Far from home he asks MJ to change seats with him on the plane so that Peter can seat with her(Honestly I kind of got pissed at this scene ASK HER YOURSELF PETER HONEY YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT)

In Homecoming he convinces Peter to go to Liz’s Party

In the official Homecoming app there’s a text message between Peter and Ned where Ned tells Peter that the solution to his problem is to ask Liz to the homecoming as Spiderman omg he cares about his friend’s relationship so sweet

3. Doesn’t get angry at anything

Remember this scene? If my friend was slapping me in the face like that my instant reaction would be ‘what the fuck dude’ (ok if that friend was Peter and had adorable dreamy eyes I wouldn’t do that but still) but Ned doesn’t even flinch. He doesn’t even scowl. Not even glimpse of a frown. He smiles when Peter says he needs his help and goes straight to it.

Again, Peter leaves him at Liz’s party and is totally chill about it

Finds out that his best friend didn’t tell him the biggest secret of his life and is not even mad, just excited for him

4. He’s super smart

He hacked a suit made by TONY STARK, like, one of the smartest people on earth. AND HE’S ONLY 15. And he’s so casual about it like just going at it on his laptop in a hotel room.

He gives Peter directions to drive Flash’s car and gets on a phone call with Happy by hacking Peter’s phone and tracks Peter’s phone god Peter you gotta pay someone to do stuff like this

He says “That’s an inductive charging plate. That’s what I use to charge my toothbrush” after Peter takes apart the glowy thing from Vulture’s weapons. Boy is smart.

5. Totally knows how to wear a hat

“All that for a drop of blood” The Mad Titan whispered and as you saw how his lips pursed into a smirk you felt your stomach dropping.

Before you could react, even get a scream out of your mouth to tell your dad to be careful, Thanos took a hold of your right ankle and threw you across the arid, orange and light-weighted planet.

“Y/N” Tony screamed as The Mad Titan dropped him into the floor, like a rag doll, as he repeatedly got punched and thrown down.

Soon you fell into the ground, hard and you felt as if there was no more air in Titan for you to breathe. The nanotech automatically removed your helmet as you desperately tried to find the air you had lost.

“Shit” you grumbled when you took a breath again, closed your eyes for a second and groaned.

This was more than you could handle, this was even more than anything you had ever thought you would ever do and for the first time in a while you were actually scared shitless about what was going to happen. It was even worse than New York than Ultron and you hadn’t even been on the field by that time but now you were and you had spend so many years trying to understand your father’s fear for so many years, just now you actually did.

As you tried to get up, you felt Peter’s presence behind you as he held you, helping you get up. His eyes were full of fear as he tried to inspect every part of your body, trying to figure out if you were seriously hurt in any way. It was normal for him, always checking in when you were fighting together.

“Oh my god, Y/N? I’m here. Are you -?” Peter started before you cut him.

“M’ fine, we need to help dad Peter, please” You whimpered as you got up with his help and turned around, your eyes desperately trying to find your father while holding Peter’s hand.

And that’s when you saw it, you were hardly able to blink as you saw how the blade entered your father’s torso and a whimper left his lips.

“DAD!” you screamed as tears rolled down your face. You felt as if your whole body was shaking uncontrollably and the urge to get to him as fast as you could overcome your mind.

You tried to run and fly towards him as your suit quickly materialized your helmet once again, but you felt a strong pair of arms around your torso, they were so tight. You knew if Peter had pressed more, it could break at least two of your ribs.

You screamed as you tried to fight Peter’s hold on you, you watch blood coming out of your father’s mouth as Thanos spoke to him.

“Y/N wait, wait, he’s going to kill you if you go near, please,” Peter begged, you could feel that he was crying as well. “I can’t lose you.”  

He was holding to you so tight, you thought you might pass out. Peter never used his super strength with you. He was always soft with you, always careful but this was a desperate grip on you, on your body, he didn’t want you going and as you turned around you could see the terror on his chocolate eyes.

But when you saw Thanos pointing the gauntlet at your dad, the infinity stones shinning more and more every second, you knew if you didn’t make it, you wouldn’t see him again.

“Peter” you stated as your lips trembled, you felt your heart crumbling inside your chest, you had promised a future together before this happened. “I’m sorry Peter,” you whispered as your suit quickly transformed your feet into a rocket canon.

Peter sensed the buzzing coming from the charges in your suit, he tried to hold you tighter, his mask appearing in front of his face and covering his chocolate eyes.

“Y/N please, don’t-” Peter cried, as the rocket canon finally broke his grip on you, sending him backwards and sending you flying as fast as you could towards your dad.

You landed right between them and the mask quickly came off, you knew your suit didn’t have much energy now, less than 10% you figured with all the fighting, and you had lost H.A.P.P.Y, your AI when you got out of the earth. But it didn’t stop you as your hand filled your repulsor with the energy you had left, and you pointed it at Thanos.

“Y/N NO!” your father yelled between shallow breathes as he tried his best to protect you. “Please Y/N, it’s okay, please”

But you didn’t flinch, still glaring at Thanos as you pointed at him with your repulsor and he pointed to you with the gauntlet. This was it, you knew what it was coming.

He chuckled.

“I hope they remember you” Thanos stated as he looked at you solemnly. “You remind me of my daughter”

You felt a knot in your stomach as you prepared for impact or however the Mad Titan decided to get rid of you and your father.

The infinity stones started gathering more and more energy and so did your repulsor as you closed your eyes for a second. Please, don’t let Peter see this, you thought to yourself as your eyes opened and braced for the attack.

But then Stephen’s voice broke the silence, the tension, your last thoughts. You turned around, your arm never going down as Thanos watched Stephen carefully as he tried to lean into the remnants of Titan.

“Stop” Stephen cried as he breathed heavily. “Spare their life’s and I will give you the stone” He said as he gazed at Tony and you for a second. “No tricks” Thanos stated as he began facing Strange but didn’t let his arm with the gauntlet down.

Your stomach dropped as you watched as the time stone materialized in Stephen’s hand from the sky, you heard your father mumbling something but soon you couldn’t hear anything as desperation washed your whole body. This couldn’t be. This was your last chance to save the earth, to save the universe.

The stone levitated from Stephen’s hand to Thanos and as he was about to grab it, you attempted to move, to take it away, maybe die in the process, but you didn’t care anymore, you knew it was your duty, you were an avenger and you had to do it.

But as soon as you tried to lift your foot from the orange ground, something pulled you back and soon you got this cold sensation spreading from your feet up, your body was humming, and it felt as if every muscle in your body had frozen, soon you couldn’t even turn your head or open your mouth, you felt trapped. Your eyes squinted slightly and turned to Steven as he gazed back at you, his left-hand twitching as it pointed to you and you realized, it was him.

You wanted to scream, shout and cry as you felt Thanos glaring back at you for a moment and then placing the stone in the gauntlet. Flashes of green light traced his purple skin as you tried to move, you wanted to fire your repulsor, you wanted him gone.

“One to go” he whispered to himself as he gazed longingly at the golden gauntlet.

Your eyes widen as you realized what was going to happen now, he was going to earth again for Vision, Wanda, for all the others. You closed your eyes and begged that your repulsor worked as you aimed towards The Mad Titan, and in that moment a pulse rifle sound shot into the air and you thought you had made it.

You opened your eyes to see yellow flashes of light hit Thanos -repeatedly, with such a desperation that if it had been blue flashes it would’ve been you- but a scream ripped the sky and it was Quill, either way nothing hurt Thanos as blue steam grew from behind him and as soon as you felt you could breathe again, he was already engulfed by the cloud that formed behind him.

You felt into the floor as you tried to regain composure, you tried to shake off the feeling of not being able to control your own body. You hated when magic was used on you and you had been trained by no other than Clint and Wanda in order to know the signs and try your best to avoid it. Either way, fighting against Strange’s power was a whole other thing.

“Where is he?” Quill screamed again as his eyes frantically looked for the Titan, he tried pointed his gun anywhere and his whole face was tainted by panic and anger.

But you couldn’t even look at him as you glared back at Strange, he looked right back at you and simply shook his head and looked down. You were about to curse the hell out of Strange, because you could’ve tried to stop him, at least that’s what you wanted to believe.

But your thoughts dissipated as you heard your dad fixing his wound as his breathing came a little back to normal, you stood up as soon as you could and ran towards him.

“Dad, Dad” you sniffled as you hold his hand, “How is it, are -are you okay?” You could barely get out as your eyes were fixed in your father’s wound, trying to check out if it was okay.

You sighed heavily as Tony simply nodded and squeezed your hand a little bit tighter, he tried to smile but it simply faded as he gazed back at the ground, he hated when you saw him like this. It had been around three years when he had finally allowed you to be on the field, but he never liked it. He felt his heart on his throat every time you were on a mission, he was uneasy which didn’t serve the team very well when he was always worried about you but with time he had learned how to cope with it. Still, it never got easy for him seeing you hurt, it never got easy for him when he had taken a blow and you had to risk your life to be beside him. In all honesty, Tony didn’t like the idea that some time you might see him die.  

“Did we just lose?” Quill let out in a sighed as you felt someone landing next to you, you turned around to see Peter, he was a little bit shaken up from the way you threw him back.

You sighed of relief as you saw him, you knew he had super strength and healing powers, but you guessed it was more about the emotional burden -he was scared of losing you. You crashed your body into him as he held you so tight you thought that you might pass out.  He wanted nothing more than to protect you, he wanted you to be okay, he just wanted to go home with the girl he had been in love with since he met her and just be with her.

“Peter, I…”

“I know Y/N, it’s not your fault,” Peter said softly as he held you tight, “It’s going to be okay, they are going to stop him” Peter reassured you as you turned around to see Tony.

It wasn’t good, you were all tired and alone in this desolated planet, you looked around to see all the Guardians coming towards you. A scowl on their faces as they felt every little blow from the battle, the adrenaline was gone and as you knew very well, the injuries where now being felt.

“Why would you do that?” Tony asked Strange, his voice soft and defeated.

You knew your father, how he thought, and you saw how everything, all the weight of keeping the world safe that he had carried on his shoulder since he became Iron Man was now crumbling, the anxiety and the fear were now gone and only defeat was left. He had failed the world, that’s what he thought.

You turned to see Strange, gazing solemnly at Tony. It wasn't completely defeated but he was somber, in the little time you had gotten to know the Supreme Wizard you knew he had to have a reason, a tangible reason for him to let Thanos go.

“We’re in the endgame now” He whispered ambivalently.

But you were furious, you were fucking tired of not knowing what was going to happen but most of all you felt the panic creeping on your back, but it was because you felt betrayed by time or the universe that this had to happen now.

“Babe…” Peter mused as he took a hold of your chin to make you look into his eyes. He gave you a little smile as he placed his forehead against yours.

He knew you well, well enough to feel your heartbeat going insane as you glared at Strange, but he also knew you well enough to calm you down.

“It’s just, we were just on a school trip today…” You mumbled as you closed your eyes.

It had been whirlwind since this morning you had been kind of official with Peter for the first time at school, you had been to the MOMA and there hadn’t been a moment where you weren’t sneaking around between exhibitions, running away from Mr. Harrington so Peter could lean forward and press his lips to yours every chance he got.

“Spider-ling stop kissing my daughter and help me get up” Tony muttered from behind you.

You gave your dad and Peter a little smile as Peter blushed, his cheeks red as he ran towards his mentor to help him stood up as you feel the group getting closer together. They were just re-grouping in order to see what your next step was.

“We have to get out of here” You stood in silence as you watched your father lean into Peter, watching you take the lead.

Mantis was next to Quill who was holding her, she had been badly injured while Drax just stared down, a somber look in his eyes. He had to be feeling worse than your father as he had been trying to avenge his family, at least that’s what you thought.

“How are we supposed to do that? The donut is gone” Peter asked as he gazed at the broken space-ship that was close to you.

You bite your lower lip as you thought about what you could possibly do to return home. There was no food or water here for you to survive long enough and you had to be as possibly fast as you could in order to help the others. It had taken you like one day to arrive at Titan, now you needed to go back. At least, you really wanted to believe there was a chance to help others.

“We have our ship, we don’t know if it’s 100% usable after the fight” Quill muttered, as he checked Mantis and gazed back at you.

You didn’t even want to look at Quill at the moment, so you turned around your gaze at Stephen. You weren’t particularly thrilled about having him your face, but you knew he was the best option you had for a safe and quick return to earth.

You smirked.

“Thankfully, we have a Wizard that can help us go back to earth in les-”, You began but was quickly cut off by Mantis.

And that’s when you felt goosebumps appearing on your own skin, as Mantis muttered.

“Something’s happening” Mantis shuddered as she gazed at the orange sky in Titan, thunder could be heard.

All of you did the same as you tried to figure out what was wrong, it was ominous and frankly terrifying. You quickly turned and took a hold of Peter’s hand as you watched your father carefully, you wanted to be close to them.

You turned around to ask Mantis what was going on but as you blink she wasn’t there anymore, there were just ashes falling into Quill’s body, following the gloomy wind and you felt your knees going weak as you just understood what was happening. You squeezed Peter’s hand as you frantically pulled him closer to you.

“Dad…” You sniffled as you watched your father carefully. Tony had a haunted expression drawn across his face, he blinked too fast to make sure what he was seeing was real as he struggled to walk towards Quill and the others.

Soon you heard Drax’s trembling voice, the fear was palpable as he had just seen Mantis fading away, literally fading into dust.

“Quill?” He managed to say before half of his body turned into dust and he looked up into the sky as a sigh left his lips.

You felt like you were going to throw up and you felt Peter’s hold growing tighter around your waist, almost as if he was protecting you of what was coming next. The terror on everyone’s face was there, he did it, you thought to yourself.

You watched Quill, hoping he will stay, hoping it was just them and that it would stop by now. Two people had died in front of you, they had turned into ashes, you wanted it to stop, you needed it to stop.

Forehead puckered, Quill gazed at Drax with fear on his eyes, he was supposed to be the leader, he was supposed to help them but he was helpless, he didn’t know how to stop it and you could see the terror in his eyes, as he turned around to see your father.

Tony got closer to Quill, as he looked at him trying to be the pillar that the younger guardian needed. But as you saw him, you knew he was just as lost as everyone else. As helpless as you all were because there was no way you could possibly stop this from happening.  

“Steady Quill” Tony said as he watched him, trying to somehow remain calm.

But as soon as he managed to get the words out the eerie sound of the wind mixed with a bit of energy from the stones -you thought- cut your father’s words.

“Oh man”

Those were the only words Quill got out before his body quickly turned into ashes. You fell on the ground, in silence as Peter went down with you.

“It’s going to stop soon Y/N, it’s going to stop” Peter assured you as he whispered in your ear while he gazed at Tony for any confirmation that was going to stop.

Tony turned around, shocked by the way their team had to disappear in a matter of seconds, to find Stephen already looking at him.

The blood on Stephen’s cheek was still going down as he tried to shake his head in affirmation, trying to somehow calm your father.

“There was no other way” Stephen stated, he breathed deeply as his gaze fell on the ground, on what was left of Titan.

One. Two. Three breaths and then he was gone.

Your father quickly turned around to see you, to make sure you were still there, and you gazed back at him. You didn’t know if you were next, neither of you so you stood up as fast as you could, leaving Peter behind because you were sure it was going to be okay, he was Peter, he was always okay. 

But as soon as you were going to give a step forward, Peter’s hold on your hand stop you. You gazed back confused as you saw him looking at the ground, a haunted expression on his face as he looked at his other hand, he looked at his arm and his body. He seemed like he was looking as if his body was full-on ants.

“Y/N…?” Peter managed to get out as his gaze frenetically found yours. His breathing became heavier as he stepped forward.

You knew.

“Mr. Stark, I don’t feel so good” Peter mumbled as he linked eyes with your dad who walked as quickly as he humanly could towards you two.

You frantically tried to see what was wrong with him, you knew what was wrong with him but your brain still tried to do any calculation on how to keep Peter together for what was coming. It was a bizarre thought but there was nothing else coming up as you tried to gaze at his beautiful chocolate eyes.

“I- I- I don’t know what’s happening” Peter stuttered as terror grew on his eyes and he walked towards you like he was holding onto dear life itself.

You held him too, you wanted to hold onto him as if somehow it was going to avoid that he turned into dust. Your features overcoming with fear and dread as you hold onto the boy you had been in love with for three years.

“Pete-” You managed to get out before you felt his whole weight into yours and your words were quickly cut off as you both fell into the ground. You placed him into your arms, his eyes fluttered as he tried to keep his breathing normal, he wanted to be brave, he really wanted to be brave. His hands were holding yours as you placed them in his chest, trying to check his heart beating.

“I don’t want to go Y/N, I don’t want to go Y/N, please” He cried as Tony kneeled down next to yours, placing a hand on Peter’s shoulder.

Your father wanted to help so badly but he knew what this meant and all he could do was watch as the boy’s legs began to crumble.

“You’re going to be okay Peter, please”, you whispered as you nodded your head between your tears.

But suddenly, his eyes looked up into the orange sky, like he was embracing this like he knew he wasn’t going to be okay. His chocolate eyes quickly found your Y/E/C eyes and they stayed together, with those knowing looks you both knew what it meant.

“M’ sorry” Peter finally whispered, without fear on his voice rather resignation as he held your gaze and you saw how the boy you love was fading.

You gazed at his chest and his hands were no longer holding yours and you felt panic invading your body and then watched him carefully as his features disappear, leaving at last his eyes that quickly turned to dust.

“No, no, no” You sobbed, shaking your head as you tried aimlessly to hold on to the ashes of the boy.

“Y/N…” Tony muttered as he held onto you, he didn’t know what to say. He knew how much you loved him, and he knew the sorrow you must be feeling.

He knew Peter was your first love.

“PETER!” You screamed at the sky, the cry ripped your chest and the sky as you felt like you were going to pass out as sobs started coming out from your mouth and you hold onto your dad as you cried.

You lost your mind as you looked at your hands filled with the ashes of Peter.

1. My favorite character from trolls issss.... Branch. Surprise! XD but seriously, pics of him are 70% of my gallery.

2. "Top three movies" is a really hard question. Cause I know what is the first and the second, but the third?

My favorite favorite, top on the top movie is The Lego Movie. I know what you think, but lemme explain. When I was young my brother and I loved lego so much, especially lego's games. We played every single existed then lego game on the computer. But when I was in the 6th class, I felt like I'm too old for 'childish animated movies' and when The Lego Movie had a premiere in my 13 birthday and my brother really wanted to go to the cinema, I said "no". I was like "eeww, lego as a movie? What a crap". But I love my brother so much, so he took me into easily. Then I watched it and I was amazed. Really really amazed. I fell in love with this movie, I sang a song every day, mama bought us this movie on DVD and I was watching it every day, knowing the whole movie by heart. Till now I can just reel all the dialogue off. For real

But don't ask me about it, I can do it only in polish xd

My second favorite is obviously Trolls. As like The Lego Movie I know the dialogue, I know the songs, but this time in both languages, English and Polish :) yea, and ttbgo's song too. You know how I love it, I don't have to tell you the whole story about it xd

My third favorite movie... Idk. Let's just say, every single Pixar movie. I love them with the whole of my heart ❤️

3. I really hate Cloud Guy from Ttbgo. Like seriously, I even like Creek, he's a jerk, but hilarious. But cloud guy? Oh my gosh. He does everything to fool branch, annoy him, make him mad or just destroy broppy moment, hguh! I hate him so much!

4. Top three fav ships... Well, first is broppy, of course. The second one at this moment is Jessie and Lake from Infinity train book 2. There is such a great artist on Tumblr, I love how she draws them. And the third one... Emmm... I dunno...

No, no, I know! My best friend x my second best friend xd they are such a couple of two cutie dork, I love them both so much 💕

Better Be Home Soon

And here it is. My first fanfiction and non academic writing in general in at least four years. Turns out titles are hard. Inspired by the news reports of Tony being missing in Infinity War and thinking, well what about Peter and what about May. Was anticipating a drabble but hey, 3000 words later. Enjoy

Summary: All Ned knew was that Peter had gone off to presumably fight the aliens attacking New York. It should have clicked far sooner just what happened. And surely May knew what was going on, it was all over the news.

It should have clicked much sooner than it did.

It might not be everyday alien spaceships hovered over and attacked New York, but it wasn’t unheard of either. It was a reality they had faced and sure he might only have been nine years old when the last attack happened, but there were few who would forget something like that. It’s irrelevant that he’d been in school at the time and hadn’t actually seen the ships or destruction in person. Irrelevant that his class hadn’t even heard something was wrong until well after the fact.

And it looked like this time they weren’t going to see it either. Except for Peter.

“Hey Ned, I need you to cause a distraction”

That was odd. But the reason for it was clear instantly when he saw the ships hovering above the city. He didn’t even think about why Peter would be asking this. It was his time to shine. Guy in the chair. How much truth was in his reaction was also irrelevant.

“Oh my God we’re going to die!” He was slightly proud of the chaos this caused. He didn’t even think about saying goodbye.

It was lucky for Peter that the teachers were meeting them there and weren’t on the bus because he didn’t think he could easily explain that one away. How Peter was on the bus when they left and not when they arrived. But saying Peter was ill at the last second and hadn’t gotten on the bus at all was easy. And the other kids were too panicked still to confirm or deny this so he felt good that they were in the clear. Well maybe MJ wasn’t fooled but that was officially Peter’s problem.

They were all apprehensive about getting back to the city, about what they’d see or find out once they got back. For a large city it was a small city and everyone knew someone who had lost someone in the first attack, if they hadn’t lost someone themselves. At first the teachers didn’t believe them (or maybe didn’t want to) but the reports started coming in almost instantly and after that they felt it was safer to stay where they were. The café the teachers were waiting at had the news running on screens and they weren’t the only group gathered around it. The instinct was strong to call your parents, call your friends, call anyone you need to but MJ was quick to point out that once the lines got jammed they’d be basically stranded so maybe text guys?

He didn’t think about telling May then. There was no reason too. This wasn’t anything Spiderman hadn’t dealt with before. … Well it was but Ironman was there and some other Avenger so surely he’d be fine. Plus it was all over the news so she can’t have missed it.

All in all this attack was over fairly quickly. The spaceships took off again in less than an hour after arriving. Texts and calls were still coming through, but slowly, and it seemed that no one they knew were hurt or even there so the field trip continued. Ned thought that this was a ballsy move since no one was really taking anything in but the bus driver had seem unconcerned and wouldn’t be back until three o’clock anyway so the teachers probably had no choice in the end.

He sent Peter a quick text that took ages to get through, so was unconcerned when there was no reply. The news coverage had lost sight of Spiderman after he took off after the unidentified Avenger. They weren’t that far out of the city so Ned half expected Peter to show up anyway expecting everyone to believe he’d been here the entire time because sometimes he was subtle like that. He was so busy trying to think of excuses for this scenario that suddenly the bus was here and it was time to head back.

“Ha, I thought he’d be stupid enough to show up again,” Mj’s murmured beside him as they walked up to the bus.  

“What, why, what, no,” it wasn’t the most eloquent response even Ned could concede that. They paused beside the bus for a long moment, eyeing each other. Ned’s eyes narrowed. Somehow this was his problem now.

“What do you know?” he asked as she rolled her eyes and pushed him gently to the stairs of the bus.

“More than you idiots think. But don’t worry. I’m probably the only one,” she replied, and gestured for him to move on. Ned had a choice now, to confirm or deny everything and he did what every good guy-in-the-chair would do. Deny everything.

He shrugged. “Well he probably went home so you’ll have to bring whatever you’re thinking up with him.”

Yes. Nailed it. He turned and found his seat still unoccupied. MJ didn’t look convinced as she followed him onto the bus but didn’t bring it up again for the rest of the ride home. Which took an agonizing eternity in Ned’s opinion with the extra traffic flooding in and the sudden road closures from the attack.

It was during this ride back that reports of Tony Stark’s disappearance came in. MJ was the first to check the reports on her phone and even then it didn’t click. Not even when he checked them out for himself.

No word on the whereabouts of Tony Stark

His phone (like everyone else’s) was blowing up with texts and alerts as the network evidently recovered. From his parents, to his out of town relatives, to his friends not on this trip. It didn’t click then that something was wrong. That someone was missing from these messages, until the messages slowed and he could finally scroll down without new messages or alerts from other apps blocking his screen.

Peter hadn’t responded yet.

Ned wasn’t sure if he should panic yet. Peter was good at responding to his messages, and he did have a bad habit of answering calls or responding to texts while in the middle of something that really should have all his attention. He’d explained that that was because of Karen, the AI in his suit, who filtered them and bought what she thought was important to his attention when she got them. But at the same time Peter also had the bad habit of dismissing these notifications with the intention of responding and not actually doing it until hours later (likely when prompted again by Karen). So this was in the grey area of time where the message didn’t warrant an immediate response but Karen hadn’t reminded him yet so he was likely distracted.

Or hurt.

Ned pushed that thought down. Unlike most of Spiderman’s antics this had had full media coverage and surely if he’d been hurt they would have reported that. They’d watched (mostly) the whole thing. Granted the view had been obscured for most of it and it was mostly the debris flying around they could see but Spiderman had been seen swinging out of the scene. So he had to be all right, right?

They were close to the school now. Ned fired off another quick text to Peter hoping to bypass Karen’s filters, if he was still wearing the suit.

Hey Pete. SOS. Are you ok? We’re almost back at school btw

There was no immediate response but he also might not still be in the suit. He sent another.

I’m coming by. I’ll wait for you at your place. Aliens???

There was no response to either message as the bus reached the school gates where a flood of parents were waiting.  Ned scanned the crowd but couldn’t see his parents (he knew they were fine and they were cool with him hanging at Peter’s) but he couldn’t see May either. Which was probably a good sign. He hoped anyway.  Cause if May wasn’t there then she knew that Peter hadn’t come on the trip in the end.

“So does this mean we don’t have school tomorrow Mr Harrington?” one of the kids at the back of the bus asked. There were a few murmurs to this. Mr Harrington looked back.

“Of course we do. I expect you all to be here by the time the bell rings, just like every day.” He replied. “Now some of your parents seem to have come to collect you so make sure your name is ticked off before you go.”

There was a scramble as everyone reached for their bags and lined up to get off the bus. MJ nodded to him as she stood up.

“See you both tomorrow,” she said as Ned got up.

“Yeah. See you then,” he replied.

It took twenty minutes to get from school to Peter’s place. Thirty if you were unlucky and missed the train connection. Ned felt like he got there in record time after the slow crawl through the city in the bus.

He kept checking his phone. There was no response and the headlines weren’t changing. They didn’t change as he got off the train and they didn’t change while he got in the elevator to get to Peter’s apartment.

It still didn’t click.

The lights were on in Peter’s apartment but it was May who answered the door. She didn’t look distressed but her face fell when she saw Ned.

“Peter’s not with you?” she asked instead of greeting him. She gestured for him to come in. Ned put his bag down by the door as he entered the apartment. The lights were off in Peter’s room but Ned figured he wasn’t here. May’s reaction made that clear enough.

“No. He went off to help with the aliens. Or at least I think he did. He asked me to cause a distraction,” he said, turning his eyes to the TV as he sat down. It was muted but the reports of Tony Stark’s disappearance were dominating the screen.

May sighed and closed her eyes. She opened them again and also looked at the TV, leaning against the back of the couch.

“I thought so. But by the time I got to the news it was all about Tony Stark disappearing and there was nothing on who else was there. Some people were saying Spiderman was there but others were saying it was just Ironman. There was no consistent answer.”

Ned looked down.

“I’m sorry. But he definitely went off. But if he’s not here he might be helping with the clean-up. He told me he does that sometimes.”

May nodded. “Yes I thought so too. And the reports aren’t showing that they’re too focused on Tony.”

Ned laughed humourlessly. “Well hopefully they get bored of that soon and show us some of that. Though Peter might come back before that happens.”

There was silence in the apartment as they turned their attention back to the news. The news report moved on to other parts of the city but the scrolling headline underneath didn’t change. It then moved on to other bits of national news. They watched as the report turned back to the attack on the city and onto footage of the space ship flying away. May unmuted it.

“… Recent reports claim that Tony Stark was last seen flying towards the retreating spaceship. The reasons for this are unclear but sources say that he is trapped on that spaceship. More on this on the 7 report...”

Ned stared in horror. It took him far longer than it should have to click about what happened but there it was. He’d seen this footage a hundred times already but this time he saw it. There was another small speck following the spaceship before Ironman flew after it. And that spec could only be one person.

“Oh. Oh no.” he exclaimed before he could stop himself. May looked at him.

“Ned, what’s wrong?” she asked. He pointed at the screen as the full implication hit him. He almost couldn’t form the words.

“I know where Peter’s gone. Why he won’t answer his phone,” he paused and turned to May. “He’s on that spaceship too.”

The words hung dead in the air as he spoke them. May’s eyes widened in horror but she didn’t say anything. Now that it had clicked he couldn’t get it to unclick. There was no other explanation.  He desperately turned back to the TV hoping he was wrong but he knew he wasn’t. If Peter really were helping clean-up he would have responded by now. If he was hurt Karen would have at least alerted May by now, or someone would have. But they hadn’t. There was only one explanation.

May was still as the report continued. Ned looked down unable to look her in the eye. He looked up again when the TV was switched off. May had her back to him but he could see her shaking slightly. He turned away, looking down at his hands for a lack of anything better to focus on. Now that he had thought about it he didn’t want to think about it.

“Ned,” May’s voice broke the silence. There were tears in her voice and while her eyes were shiny they hadn’t yet fallen. “Have you seen my phone?”

He jumped up, perhaps a little too quickly, shaking his head. “No. No I haven’t”

His eyes wildly searched the apartment, not really looking long enough to be of any use. There was another uneasy silence as they searched the apartment for her phone. In the end it had been in front of them on the coffee table when May found it.

May scrolled through her contacts to the list she had dreaded using. She wasn’t sure if Peter knew but once Tony had offered the ‘internship’ he had given her a couple of numbers for in case of emergency. And when she had found out about his Spiderman activities and she had chewed him out, just a little bit, he had added a couple more.

“… I promise you. No harm will come to him if I can help it. However I can’t promise the same thing for myself so if you can’t reach me in an emergency. Call Happy. The phone almost rang out.

“Ms Parker.” Happy sounded almost frantic for once. “I’m sorry but we have no word on Mr Stark right now so if Peter…”

May cut him off, responding in the same collected but almost frantic tone.

“Happy, Peter is missing.”

There was a long pause before a soft shit came through the line. “I take it you’re sure of this.”

“Of course. Please. My nephew as missing but I don’t know who else to turn to. Happy he was Spiderman at the time.”

There was another pause as faint voices on the other side of the line conferred. May looked around the apartment. Ned was hunched on the couch pointedly not looking at her. Dinner was bubbling softly on the stove. Meatloaf incidents aside she had fed herself and a young boy for years without staring or poisoning themselves, but this one might also turn out to be a disaster. The door to Peter’s room gaped open almost ominously. She really should turn on the light in there.  

The murmuring on the other side of the line stopped and a different voice responded to her.  

“Hi May. I’m sure you know that Tony is missing too. I just talked to FRIDAY and she confirmed that she’s lost connection with Karen. Peter is most likely with Tony. We’ll get them back and I’m sure he’ll keep Peter safe until then,” Pepper had her CEO voice on. But it was calm and friendly and despite herself May relaxed a fraction.

“Ms Potts. Thank-you”

“No please. Call me Pepper. This one is a new one for Tony but it’s also not unheard of for his to disappear into the aether without a word of warning. I don’t know how but he always lands on his feet. He’ll bring Peter home so help me, and he’ll have time to return him so you before I kill him myself,” her voice took on a harder edge as a bit of hysteria crept in. Without missing a beat she added calmly; “Happy is on his way. So if you’d like to come to the Avengers compound we can sort out this mess together and I can update you with what we know.”

May blinked. Ned looked up. The apartment was quiet enough that he could faintly hear Pepper’s voice through the speaker.

“That would be wonderful. Thank-you,” May replied.

“Great. We’ll see you in about an hour then,” Pepper said before the connection went dead.

May put the phone back in her bag and wiped her eyes.

“Do. Do you think they know where he is?” Ned hesitantly asked from the couch where he’s been sitting for the entire conversation, roughly wiping the tears from his own eyes. May straighten her shoulders and looked at him.

“No. At least I don’t know. Apparently FRIDAY or whoever could confirm that he’s with Tony though. So I’m heading over to see if we can sort this out,” she replied with a shaky smile.

“Can I come too?” Ned burst out. “Please I’m his guy-in-the-chair.”

May looked him in the eye.

“Not right now Ned. I’m sorry but I don’t know what’s happening over there and if I’m going to be underfoot let alone you.”

Ned’s shoulders slumped. May walked over to him and knelt in front of the couch, her hand reassuring on the armrest.

“So can I ask you a huge favour? I need you to stay in the city in case he pops up. Just for tonight. Just for tomorrow. And then if there’s still nothing you can come and help us then,” She promised.

He hoped it wouldn’t come to that. That they were both wrong. That Peter was still in the city and not God knows where in outer space. Cause that was crazy. That didn’t happen. That wasn’t happening. Ned swallowed before replying. “I can do that.”

May patted the armrest as she got up.

“Thanks Ned. And I promise that I’ll update you with anything we know.”

Almost mechanically she went into the kitchen and turned everything off. She didn’t even think about cleaning up as she ran through a mental list of what she would need, what Peter would need when they found him. Because they would find him.

Ned shuffled over to grab his backpack. May looked over to him.

“Do you want me to call your parents?” She asked. Ned shook his head.

“No. No its fine. What would I say to them anyway? Do you want me to leave a note? For Peter though? IN case he comes back?” He gestured to his room. May looked over, face falling slightly.

“Yes. If you want to leave one that would be great.”

Ned dropped his bag and started to rummage through it for a piece of paper. May walked over to Peter’s door and looked in.

Ned was suddenly beside her.

“He’ll come back. I’m sure he will. He’s got to come tell me about being in an actual space ship and how like Star Wars it is,” he sounded hopefully. May reached across and squeezed his shoulder.

“Thanks Ned. I’m sure you’re right and he’ll be ok.”

and the sadness/disappointment spread from the center of your heart to all over you, so you knew they were your feelings

so you went over just like “hey, are you okay?”

and minho had just gotten the disappointment in the middle of his heart so he was desperately trying to cheer up

like shitshitshit did i cause this? nonono, i want my soulmate to be happy please be happy

but he got too deep in his thoughts, like do i not make them happy? will i ever make them happy?

and he was lowkey crying and when you asked if he was okay, it just got worse

which was not your plan

he started crying harder, but not hard enough so that the boys in the other corner could hear, unless they got dead silent, and even then, it’d probably just be hearing sniffles and such

“woah, hey, it’s okay,” you said. in all honesty, you weren’t great with emotions, but you knew he was a happy person and hated this.

his sniffing slowed down and he wiped the tears away. he’d worked so hard for this? he was better than this. this was why jyp had eliminated him.

but the negative feeling surrounding his heart lightened up a little bit, as did the feeling in the middle of yours.

“i’m not good enough.” the feeling surrounding your heart, the worry of his feelings, was immediately replaced with something else. not quite horror, not quite pity. he didn’t like the new feeling in his heart.

“what do you mean?” you asked. his heart felt lighter, somebody noticed him crying? he didn’t cry often, but he would admit, he was a little bit scared.

jyp eliminating him and then bringing him back with the threat of not even being able to debut, to crush his dreams again, had scared him. he didn’t want to come off as weak. he still didn’t cry much, he was a happy person.

but anyway!

he just kinda sniffed and went, “i was eliminated. i’m not good enough to be here.”

“but you debuted with the group, right? you were voted back by people, not by jyp. we want you here.”

the feeling surrounding his heart grew lighter, and you grew more relaxed. you couldn’t really put two and two together, for some reason, you just thought that something was stressing your soulmate out. 

you grew more relaxed as well, and within a minute the two of you were fully relaxed, sitting on the floor like old friends. “if you don’t mind, what got you worked up?” you asked carefully.

“oh.” he blushed a little bit. “i just…i messed up on one of the moves, and i felt bad, like ‘oh, hey, i need to work on this’, but then i…i felt my soulmate feel bad.”

“wait, your link is your emotions, too? dude, no way, that’s so cool!! mine’s the same.” you said it with a grin.

“what’re the odds…” he muttered. “that…we’re??” he kinda cuts himself off, not finishing his sentence. he figured you’d say “oh, no, i already have my soulmate lol” but you didn’t??

“i mean…we can try to see? that’d be pretty cool honestly”

so the two of you come up with a little game

you think of something that makes you feel one emotion, then he’ll think of something, and the two of you will write down how you felt on a piece of paper.

so if you felt sad, and he was your soulmate, he’d write down sad.

does that make sense??

so you decided to, as you could’ve guessed from my wording before, make yourself sad.

“heartbreak.” your breathing slowed. “absolute heartbreak. never being enough, never feeling like enough. negativity.” he hadn’t meant for them to be as poetic as they were, simply scribbling down his feelings.

he read your response at the same time.

“ecstasy. a lifetime of happiness, condensed into a second a repeated into infinity. never being alone. everything positive.” you, actually, had been trying to make your words sound poetic lmao

you were slightly intimidated by him

you looked up to see him already staring right at you

“did…did i…?” you didn’t finish your sentence, his mouth slightly agape as he nodded.

“did i?”

you nodded.

you honestly didn’t know how either of you would react, and you couldn’t describe your feelings for once. you felt the same inside and out; complete, happy, maybe a little bit of doubt.

this was what you’d been searching for your whole life

neither of you had to give up your dreams to find the other

Avengers Endgame Review

Well, this is it ... Avengers Endgame. The film we've all been waiting for ever since the shocking ending to Avengers Infinity War and the end of the MCU's Infinity Saga. Well, I can say without a doubt that Avengers Endgame does more than a perfect job in finishing up 10 years worth of movies in one epic conclusion. Endgame is an emotional, shocking, heartbreaking but best of all epic movie that is a must watch for every human on earth! The movie takes place right after Avengers Infinity War and is during the fallout of “The Snap” when Thanos attached all six infinity stones to the infinity gauntlet then with a snap of his fingers single handily wiped out half of all life in the universe (including some of our favourite heroes) to create what he sees as “balance”. This movie takes place right after that where heroes and other characters are now dead thanks to “The Mad Titan” (Thanos) and now the only ones left are the original six Avengers introduced in phase 1 and a few others. Which consists of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye (who is Ronin now), Black Widow and War-Machine who are also getting help from Rocket Raccoon, Captain Marvel, Nebula and Ant-Man. If there's one thing Infinity War taught us it's that movies' with a large number of characters can be great and while Endgame's roster is as bigger as Infinity War it does an excellent job on focusing on the original six Avengers and the newcomers to the team and really convinces us this team can save the universe.

Endgame's plot is very complex, long and very hard to describe without seeing all of the previous MCU movies since the first Iron Man or spoiling the movie. Basically, it's unique, emotional, tear-jerking but is still epic, funny and awesome as any MCU movie should be. Its tone is dark and dead serious and really shows us that these are dark days for the MCU with their defeat and half the universe being dead. Ok now apart from the scenes from the teaser, the fact that this takes place right after Infinity War I can't really take about the plot because everyone wants to find out themselves. What I can say is that Endgame more than earns it's 3 hr runtime as it ties up more than a decade of movies very well which has become known as the infinity saga. It deepens the importance of the previous movies and makes them feel a whole lot more important than they already were to us. The movie's runtime gives each of the characters their own moments to tie up any loose ends or unanswered questions. Its story feels like it was written for fans by fans which is just the way we wanted it to be. This movie, however, has few laugh moments as this is a dark time for the Avengers and almost everyone has lost hope. Endgame has some of the darkest, most emotional and shocking scenes and moments in the MCU's history as well as tear-jerking moments we never thought we'd see in a Marvel movie. This movie's plot is without a doubt the perfect way to end the infinity saga.

The heroes and villains are the heart of and soul of this movie and at moments really feel like a family and makes this version of the Avengers more realistic and unique.

Robert Downey Jr returns for the 9th time as Iron Man (Tony Stark). The first hero ever introduced in the MCU and the iconic armoured hero who has always been a fun loving, smooth talking, badass looking engineer genius and playboy has unfortunately become an angry and cold man after the events of Infinity War. During which he fought Thanos one on one and only drew a drop of blood from the Mad Titan after throwing literally everything he had at him and completely getting his armour destroyed in the process. Then after seeing Peter (Spider-Man) die in his arms from The Snap he now feels like a failure as both a hero and a father figure. While he does still have his iconic sarcasm and funny personality he's a more dead serious and darker version of himself and has made it clear that he's had enough. Robert Downey Jr is the perfect match between actor and role for the golden avenger and does an excellent performance that is definitely one for the ages.

Chris Evans returns as Captain America (Steve Rogers) The First Avenger. He wins our hearts and our respect by being a total badass who cares more about his country but also his team, his friends and all of the world. Throughout the movie even though his best friend and partner were killed he still never stops fighting, never backs down and never gives up to complete his mission. Proving that no matter what the universe throws at him and no matter how many times he gets knocked down he always gets back up because it's what he was raised to believe. As we all know he can do this all day. Chris Evans was born to play Captain America and I can't see anyone else playing as this legendary hero. P.S he's my personal favourite Avenger. Plus throughout the movie, he dawns a whole bunch of awesome suits that are both old and new like his stealth suit from “The Winter Solider” Suit (seen in the first teaser) and his new white suit (seen in the other trailer).

Chris Hemsworth lights up the screen as Thor God of Thunder. The son of Odin has really evolved from a spoilt arrogant prince to a funny heroic warrior that will do to protect the people of Asgard. However in Endgame Thor struggles to remain a strong hero and king of Asgard after feeling a sense of failure and defeat after almost dying to forge Stormbreaker and still fail to stop Thanos in Infinity War, save the remainder of his people and the rest of the universe. So while he is still the lovable bad boy, the fallout of the snap has transformed the once mighty hero into a shadow of his former self.

Jeremy Renner returns as Hawkeye (Clint Barton). The somewhat underappreciated and not very well loved archer that has beenovershadowed by the other members of the team. But in Age of Ultron became everyone's 4th or 5th favourite Avenger and after Civil War is now an official favourite to everyone. Now driven by the snap he has become the deadly vigilante Ronin. Armed with a sword and awesome new hooded suit Clint has become a darker and more dead serious character that isn't messing around this time cause he missed out on Infinity War but suffered as much as everyone else has. Oh man I feel bad for this guy first he wasn't anyone's favourite Avenger, he missed out on Infinity War and now he's gone mad from the snap. BTW this was all seen in the trailer so these aren't spoilers.

Mark Ruffalo returns to the MCU as Dr Bruce Banner and The Hulk. The big angry monster that does only one thing ... SMASH! He stole the show back in Thor Ragnarok as the closest thing we'll ever get to the “Planet Hulk” version of the character. However, he only appears once in Infinity War to fight Thanos but immediately gets his ass kicked and for the rest of the movie refuses to come out of Banner. Forcing Bruce to use the Hulk-Buster Iron Man suit to fight. Kinda Ironic if you ask me The Hulk is piloting the Hulk-Buster armour. While he isn't as awesome as he was in Ragnarok and felt underused most of the time he still melts our hearts by being a brainy kind-hearted scientist that would do anything for the team. Best of all Mark Ruffalo really put Edward Norton and Erica Bana to shame or as I call him....Mark Ruffa-Hulk.

Don Cheadle returns as Iron Man's partner War-Machine (Rhodey). Who pilots a similar but badass looking, heavily armoured, well equipped and high tech Iron Man suit. He's a decorated soldier that's just as patriotic as Captain America. While he felt a littleunderused in the last few movies like Iron Man 2, Age of Ultron, Civil War and Infinity War in Endgame he makes a much larger impact and really contributes well to the plot and has earned to the recognition he deserves. Best of all his War-Machine suit his more tactical, high tech and looks more badass than ever even more than Tony's suit.

Scarlet Johansson is back once again as the highly trained super spy Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff). Despite not getting her own movie she has appeared regularly in other MCU movies and has become one of the best, oldest and most recognisablemembers of the team. She is something of a mystery to most people as she never knew her parents, was raised to be the perfect agent, has never had a real family and at times has forced to choose between duty and what's right as was shown in Civil War. However, since the fallout of Infinity War she has become a depressed and alone as she never got to fight alongside her partner Hawkeye during the fight against Thanos and hasn't heard from him since the events of Civil War. But she is still a strong independent woman that many women and girls can look up to as they can be just as awesome and badass as many male comic book heroes. But there is one thing I didn't like about her in Infinity War and Endgame....her hair cut. She has ditched her iconic long redhead look for a short Mark Hamill styled her cut that looks horrid. But other than that she still and always will be an awesome character. Paul Rudd explodes onto the screen as the fun-loving, energetic and awesome Ant-Man (Scott Lang). After making 2 successful movies and giving us the best scene in Civil War he has quickly become a fan favourite especially for me. After the ending in “Ant-Man and The Wasp” he became trapped in the “Quantum Realm” just before The Snap. Since the Quantum Realm is a completely different part of existence he survived...unfortunately the same can not be said for his Mentor and his predecessor Hank Pym or Scott's love interest Hope Van Dyne aka The Wasp who were killed when Thanos snapped his fingers. Because of this he has really evolved as a character and makes a really major impact through the movie and really feels important as he should be. He has been driven to fight after and do something about the fallout of The Snap since he has lost everything. While Paul Rudd is still a fun comedic character he has really developed into a more serious and focused character. He has earned to right to be called an Avenger.

Josh Brolin steals the show as the movie's or more importantly the whole MCU's primary villain ... The Mad Titan Thanos. He has been seen in many of the MCU's previous movies building up as the universe's greatest and most powerful villain. His plan was to gather all six of the Infinity stones, attach them to the Infinity Gauntlet and use it to wipe out half of all living creatures in the universe to create what he see's as “balance”. Thanos is a whole lot more menacing and evil in Endgame than he was in Infinity War and feels a lot more like his comic book counterpart with his smirking evil look and epic armour that makes him look even more badass. Josh Brolin does an amazing job in voicing and doing the motion capture for this legendary and truly evil villain making it feel like the real Thanos leap right off the pages of the Infinity comic books and into the movies. This is definitely the MCU's greatest villain and one of the best movie villains of all time.

Now, what would this film be without....action! This movie has some of the best moments ever pulled from the comics that no one saw coming and only true Marvel fans will recognise. Their epic, fun, memorable and unforgettable plus the special effects and CGI were amazing and really blended well with the practical effects. While it is frowned upon, there were moments that made everybody including me stand up and cheer as the scenes are so epic and awesome they get us super excited. This is some of the best action ever see in a movie is really gonna be loved by everyone for years to come.

Final Verdict:Avengers Endgame is the perfect Marvel movie which brilliantly ties up a decade of movies, gives us a finale worthy of winning awards, and is gonna be loved for generations to come. It more than earns its three-hour runtime by tying up all loose ends, giving each of the characters their own chance to shine, and reminding us how much we love them. In the end, it's emotional, epic, unique, heartbreaking, shocking, entertaining, fun and most importantly makes fans cry, fans cheer and say ... what!? Especially with the moments that were pulled straight from the comics. It is a must watch for every human being on earth and will be loved by all fans old and young.Final Score: 10/10

Fictional character I relate to the most:

Ok top 3, probably for forever, have got to be Lilo, Hiccup (httyd), and Wirt (otgw). Not to sound like ~that guy~ but I always felt like an odd-one out especially in grade school, or the person who didn’t have a lot of social confidence. And seeing these guys go through things that felt so similar to my own situation meant (and still means) a lot to me.

Book you can read over and over without getting tired of it:

For me there’s 3 books series, “Sisters Grimm” by Michael Buckley, “Books of Bayern” by Shannon Hale (especially the first two books, Goose Girl and Enna Burning), and “A Series of Unfortunate Events” by Lemony Snicket (funny enough the Netflix show was what reminded me of this series and made me fall in love with it again.)

What’s your favorite comfort show/movie:

For TV Show it’s definitely It’s Always Sunny. I think at this point I’ve watched the full series like 8 times, not to mention whenever I just skip around to my favorite episodes. 

And for movie this may be surprising but the live-action Cinderella film from a few years back. If you don’t know I hate the story of the movie, (no way around how the attempt at “revamping” actually makes the depiction of Cinderella worse in my opinion). And yet of all the disney live-action fiascos I keep rewatching this one. Mostly cause of poofy dresses and i’m gay.

Which fictional character are you most defensive over:

Pines family! Whenever people try to say Mabel or Ford are evil or that Stan or Dipper are selfish I’ll fight the urge to fight them. Same goes for Soos too! 

To a lesser degree I’ve begun feeling the same way about Batman too lol

Show you fell out of love with:

I’ll be honest for a while I fell out of love with Steven Universe for a little while it came, but it’s back for now. (No matter what happens on the show I still think it’s characters will have a special place in my heart though! I mean I’ve been following it since the pilot years ago)

Show you’re most excited for:

I’m really pumped for Infinity Train, Amphibia and The Owl House! They all sound really exciting and right up my alley for animated fantasy adventures!

I got a 3-way road for this one. Road 1: antique everything, silent black and white films that have been lovingly restored, old ornate houses, fancy book shelves and desks and vanity sets with secret hiding spots all over the place. Lots of cute dresses with ruffles and buttons and floral prints. 

Road 2: The complete polar opposite, outer space with different far-out planets and galaxies and nebulae. Futuristic holograms, trees that glow, roads that glow fucking skin that glows. Everything is bio-luminescent and and defies gravity. 

 And lastly Road 3: Straight-up flower-child hippy. A cottage at like the fucking apex of ecosystems. One side is woods with mountains in the distance. On the other side is the ocean and the estuaries. The cottage is filled with shit like cut flowers, hand-made crafts, growing plants, seashells all over the place.

I’m always a sucker for standoffish characters, especially the ones who are always down on their luck and guarded in canon, being able to be emotionally vulnerable with people they care deeply about, whether it be family, friends or romantic partners, and bonding closer to them than ever before.
