Cradle swords lets go!!!

So Yerin’s (previously the Sword Sage’s) Wintersteel blade always looked to me like Archan from Shadow Of Mordor before it got all broken & vengeancey. Or maybe a jian.

Netherclaw I always imagined as a katana, vaguely like a cross between the Meteroic Orr Blade & the Serpentbone Blade, both from Elden Ring. Unless it is a straight sword, in which case I’d say it looks like a cross between Elucidator and Dark Repulsor (both from Sword Art Online)

Wavedancer I always imagined to be like a better, much more orr impressive looking version of Crocea Mors’ original form from RWBY. Or a bit like Durindana’s sword form from Fate, although with the hilt and the blade looking less separated.

What do y’all think?

My Little Cthulu!

The Trading Post had their annual Halloween costume contest. You could enter up to two costumes and there ended up being 14 entries! I didn’t win but am very pleased with my little dude here:)

I had another idea in mind but just couldn’t get started with it. Went with this idea and it took like, a day:) It’s the body and a head piece; all crocheted with felt wings, claws and eyes.

It looks like an inquisitive puppy doing the head tilt lol.

And of course it’s MintyXD Her tail is wrapped around her body in the costume and her mane was coiled up on her head which helped keep the shape of the head.

I did a second costume just for fun. I made Wavedancer some wings inspired by the Summer Wings and Windy wing ponies.

I couldn’t get it to photograph very well but her wings were painted with the color shift paint, IRL it looks really cool!

Incidentally Wavedancer is one of my first customs; she had large blue ink spots on her belly so I painted bubbles to cover them up:)

One bright sunny day when the clouds were dancing in the sky, Wavedancer was surfing in the ocean with the other Sea Ponies. They would ride a big blue wave all the way in to shore, then merrily swim out to catch another. One giant wave they caught carried them up, up, up... all the way up to the prettiest cloud in the sky. They played up in the cloud for hours, then slid down the rainbow and landed in the ocean with a big SPLASH!!

Flash Friday- Gambling With Wizards

Wizards.

Always had gold, always hated paying up when they lost.

The one opposite clearly thought a giff, especially a female, would be easily duped.

Joy hadn’t come down in the last shower, let him try.

“Double or nothing? You’d get 200 gold pieces?” He asked, as though the calculation was beyond her.

“What’s the bet?” Joy played dumb.

The wizard smiled.

“The candle behind the bar. One attempt to put it out, without leaving your seat, you get the gold.”

Joy drew a dagger, testing the weight.

The wizard grinned.

“Deal.”

The grin widened.

Joy waved a barmaid over, taking a coin from the pot.

“A bottle of rum, keep the change. Oh, and blow out that candle please?”

The wench, pleased with the generous tip, did as she was asked.

“Hand over the gold.” Joy smiled.

G1 My Little Pony comic #4, “The Message in a Bottle”

My character in our campaign had to be retired after being aged way up by a ghost’s curse - so here’s my replacement! This is Neneke Abara, the human Open Seas Paladin! Neneke is a Wavedancer hailing from coastal city of Syhone. Neneke has sworn the Oath of the Sacred Libertine, swearing to Syhone a life of divine freedom -  to have no home but her own heart. It’s her duty to wander Oreth, living in true freedom, planting the seeds of joy and defending against evils that would see such goodness destroyed.
