Okay my crack theory for Lucy’s god situation:

What if instead of dying Lucy’s god became an archfey and fucked off, forsaking all of their followers. I could see that as justifiable for a minor god—maybe you don’t want your personality and existence to be dependent on a group of people small enough for a really big hurricane to wipe them out. Maybe you want to try your hand at self actualization, which you can’t really do as a god. Whatever.

But that would still mean Lucy’s grades would be screwed for the year, and the whole group would be switched to pass/fail.

Whatever god they’re trying to bring back seems like they want to stay a god, but would also only have a single living cleric so their nature would be heavily influenced by who that cleric is, and could still be controlled. Bringing back an established dead god with living followers probably reduces the risk of the god immediately dying or completely sucking ass/not being powerful like what happened with YES!(?), and we know the Ratgrinders LOVE minimizing risk. And choosing a dead god that represents something Lucy is actually passionate about preaching and proselytizing would make her work as a cleric much easier for her emotionally than, say, switching to Helio and just going through the motions, and bringing back a god would probably look good on college resumes.

Idk, that’s just an alternative theory to Lucy’s god dying based on what’s been established this season.

#fantasy high #the ratgrinders #ratgrinders #fantasy high junior year #fhjy #fhjy spoilers #d20 fantasy high #dimension 20 #this is an idea I came up with while basically writing fanfiction in my head about a possible route Ivy’s story could go #that would make the ragtringers not evil / kind of justified #basically my ‘what if’ plot line is that Ivy’s god forsakes her during the sophomore spring project and that leads to her loosing her power #and the ratgrinders having to choose a pacifistic quest to go on because they no longer have a healer but can’t tell anybody #hence why they didn’t kill anything during their sophomore quest but seemingly still passed with a letter grade #(we know Ivy’s death was only reported after grading was completed—which means they wouldn’t have been switched to pass/fail)#Now Ivy is thinking about what grade to switch to before the end of the year so she doesn’t fail #all while covering up her god forsook her to the school until she has her replacement figured out #but WHOOPS something happens and she dies anyway…but with no afterlife she’s stuck as a ghost. The ratgrinders will all fail if they report #her dead right then-and Ivy doesn’t want that for her friends-so instead the ratgrinders disguise self as her and fake her cleric powers #with their own in class just enough to keep her from failing the year…then after grading closes they report her as dead to Augfort and ask #for his help in reviving her like he did the bad kids. But he tells them that he brought the bad kids back by taking their place in #the afterlife; if Ivy’s stuck as a ghost and not in an afterlife than there’s nothing he can do right now but he’ll look into it oh wait #his DAUGHTER is back and they need to bond nevermind here are some resources during this endless night that you can read up on to try to #find a way to bring your dead friend back on your own have FUN high schoolers I believe in you but it’s Ayda time!#so the ratgrinders did a bunch of research on their own and they found that a god could bring her back to life and the only one willing to #do that would probably be a preestablished dead god they brought back to life (similar to Kristen with Cassandra). This red god is just #the safest bet they found in the books to complete their plan #I won’t call all THAT a theory because it’s based on nothing but that’s my idea for a direction her backstory could go #also pretend whenever I wrote ‘ivy’ in this little end section I actually wrote Lucy #I canNOT believe I made that mistake #Cassandra save me

But he doesn't like Mira the Cleric so instead he goes

"Not to be a (mood killer) but those Gith are going to carve you like a goose"

#my brother and I have this curse in minecraft where whenever we settle near a village the villagers always end up leaving #Ever since our pocket edition days and we don’t know why. Even if we like don’t even steal anything from them they will Leave #So we started a server and we settled near a village + our cousin and a mutual friend #And it happened AGAIN. We almost lost the cleric of our cousin didn’t brick him up in his house #And apparently they changed the breeding system for villagers and I didn’t know until I had like 9 doors scattered around the village and I #Was like wtf why isn’t it working.. apparently since the v&p update you need to feed them AND get a bed with 3 blocks above so the baby can #Jump on it. So I made like a house specifically so I can lock them in there and they can. Breed #Affectionately named villager fuckhouse. But the problem is that we only have ONE CLERIC #Gamerule says the villagers will boink if the villager:bed ratio is uneven but again. the curse #And the next village over is 900 blocks and I’m too lazy to make a minecart rail to get our cleric a mate #I feel like the drivethrougg anon explaining this. But it’s 11PM and I have a headache and I want the sweet release of death #Yapping

Realistically speaking, If I got thrown into dnd I'd be an artificer. Like I'd be so fucking pissed I'm not a sorcerer and will thrown a tantrum, but let's be real.

hi guys i'm posting again. as much as i love playing characters who have a self-preservation instinct it's so much EASIER to play characters who do not have one even at all especially in situations Like This

#cw:fire #c:megadungeon #cha:alessi #or really like alessi thinks they don't NEED a self-preservation instinct bc their saint and their holy purpose is preserving them #but it was so EASY to just be like 'yeah i charge into the burning building yeah i keep going deeper into the fire yeah i grab the searing-#hot door handle. there's a person in there who might possibly still be alive!' i didn't even have to THINK about it #and not even like. not even a person they KNEW especially well just A Person #and they still couldn't actually get her out alive :( but they still gave it all they had and still managed to get her body out #[i'm going to need to take this next two weeks (:() b4 we play to figure out how they feel about that. beyond 'angry at ragnarr']#i was getting a little worried in there tbh! 14 hp is not very much to end up with! but i didn't have to even consider turning around #and alessi wasn't even a little bit worried about it they knew they'd be fine #that's clerics <3 kings of getting into situations and getting other people out of situations and NOT getting themselves out of situations #and it's such a fun contrast w my other active megadungeon guy being salvador who DOES have the hit-da-bricks instinct #was introduced as the sole survivor of a tpk!#and the fun tension that gives w him being a guy who Does walk the edge of death frequently #and who HAS that castillian bravado and that bravery sword and who IS a bit of a risk taker even just for the sake of taking risks #but who also knows when to get the hell out of dodge bc if you want to stay alive you have to keep yourself alive. and for now he'd really #rather like to be alive!#cha:salvador #okay NOW i'm going shopping #love when meg puts me in a situation <3

This is more how I imagined her hair when I played her in DnD, with something closer to what her "professional" clothes might look like. Probably going to do away with the circlet.

True to form, this girl doesn't see the trap coming and realize she's about to end up on her ass--she's worried about the four legged friend she made in captivity. (she actually passed her check this time, but, her ass is canon.)

Gurl, that twink just put you on your ass and threatened to cut you. Don't look at him like that. We saw the scars. You know what he's about. She may be wisest, but she is not smartest.

being so excited for ttrpg pcs you’ve made but have no real plans to ever play

#mine #I have too many ideas to ever get around to #but like #omg I am so excited at the idea that I might some day #some of them are like generic good people who just seem fun and interesting to play #like my big teddy bear fighter firbolg named Tavel who befriended a nonspeaking fey spirit as a child who takes the form of a fox familiar #or my half-elf chaotic good death cleric Călin who defected from a war and now lives as a vagrant with barely anything on him #or my earth genasi warlock Nguyệt whose patron is her own great-grandmother #cause I normally don't really go for the edgelord characters so much I feel like they can be kind of... eh a lot of the time #like we get it you're Sad and Complicated and Have Issues #but there's a couple ideas I have that I feel like I could have a lot of fun with #like my douchey human barbarian Gazsi who is like one of those guys who just got really rough really early #and now just barrels through life not really hoping to live long and just absolutely indulging in every hedonism #including a bunch of one-night stands in taverns with people he barely acknowledges later because he is a Douchebag #and I feel like it could be really fun to dive into why he's like that and how it relates to him being so vain and materialistic #and how he can heal and learn to live for the future #(or maybe he makes a reckless decision and dies before anyone is high enough level to resurrect him WHO KNOWS that's the fun part lol)#or my human fiend warlock Leofric with a Twist #the twist being that it's not a normal warlock contract and I'm actually playing as the fiend patron #who possessed Leofric's body as a part of a deal to keep Leofric alive from a deadly curse that puts a timer on his life #and as long as the devil is inside him the timer is paused #the agreement being that the devil can use his body to retrieve an artifact in the material plane #and once that goal is met the devil uses its powers to break the curse that's on him #and of course this possession would be a Secret and other players would come into it thinking I'm just a sickly looking warlock #I'm thinking that if he dies before the goal is met it's permadeath #like if leofric's body is killed it can no longer house the litreral devil literally inside him #and it ends up bursting out of him in a firey explosion that destroys his body and deals aoe damage #and also the curse he's under binds his soul to some afterlife or another #so he can't be resurrected #it'd be risky but fun

i'm so excited for dnd on monday when the vine wizard beast completely eviscerates sān because she got bored of them not doing anything interesting in battle and goaded him :D
