Yes yes yes I was hoping someone would ask me about him!

How I feel about this character: I have slowly grown more interested in him over the years, especially now that I’ve begun to write in his POV. There are a lot of interesting layers to him: his time before the crossing, meeting the Valar, his very tangled love life, his brilliant but doomed children (and grandchildren), his role as king. He seems to me like someone whose gentle and calm demenor hides pure steel. He approaches conflict very differently than his sons and that makes him a fun change to write.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: I love the idea of an Míriel/Finwë/Indis trio who love each other deeply but keep getting separated. Its a tangled sort of relationship that only makes sense to them. When Míriel dies, part of what brings Finwë and Indis together is that shared grief and understanding. And when Finwë dies and Míriel comes back to life, she and Indis cling together for the same reason.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I like the idea of him being very good friends with Thingol! I’m looking forward to writing their reunion and figuring out how that friendship works (its one of those things I won’t know until I actually sit down and write it and let the characters interact, but my writer brain is buzzing at the chance to throw them in a room together because I know there will be so much fun stuff to explore between the two of them!)

My unpopular opinion about this character: Him choosing to go to Formenos with Fëanor was not him picking a favourite child! It was the move of a very worried father who sees that his eldest son is (a) in the process of separating from his wife, (b) getting too much attention from Melkor, (c) clearing going through some sort of breakdown, what with snapping so badly he pulls a weapon on his half-brother, (d) has now been forced into exile by the Valar AFTER said breakdown which will remove him from other people who could support him, and (e) is taking all his kids (and his grandchild!) with him into said exile. Of course Finwë went with him! How else can he make sure that Fëanor got help?

(and it must have been working, somewhat, since Fëanor did leave to go on a hunt with Fingolfin right when the Darkening happened. He must have been doing everything he could to mend that rift and help his child. But, well, we all know what happens in canon…)

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: I wish there could have been a bit of him and Fëanor reuniting in the Halls.

Your escape didn’t last long. You didn’t know much of the ship's halls and were soon cornered. Megatron was able to get you and bring you back to the berth room. You tried your best to fight against his hold but after the door closed he pinned you against the door. “Stop Fighting Me! If you’d just listen then you wouldn’t get hurt!”

You turned your helm away. Your optics closed as the tears came down your cheeks. He saw. His optics turned orange for a moment as he looked down at you. He was mad. And you kept trying to get away from him. You know this will become. A constant thing. And convincing him will even take longer by this point. Your optics remained closed. He stared down at you and when his optics narrowed at you. He let out a sigh. His forhelm on your shoulder as your helm remains turned away. He closed his optics as he let go of your arm. You were shaking so much. He then leaned back so there’s a few inches of space between you both. He gently held both of your cervos and kissed the back of both of them.

You kept shaking as he rested his dermas against your neck. One of his cervos then goes to your helm. Wiping away the tears as you remained still. “Let’s……go to sleep….” His other cervo still holds one of yours as his other goes to your waist as he leads you to the berth. You finally opened your optics. Only looking down.

The "adoption" was heavily influenced by mara, making him more focused on getting "beacon", that bring him just a bit of comfort.

A strange case of freedom and captivity. You can stay on Stellaron Hunters' base. Or with Kafka/Silver Wolf/Elio/Firefly. You can stay with them, if they visit different planets. Blade will take you with him, if he has a non-dangerous mission.

But, the moment you try to escape, or someone from Stellaron Hunters will try to help you and get you on the distant planet to get you away from Blade... Or even if you got lost or IPC got their hands on you...

Blade will return you. And after that, he will never let you go. You will always be with him. Even if his mission will be dangerous, he will take you with him.

D - Domestic (Beside the room, what did they do in their house for their "adoptee"?)

When you two were 'traveling' - he always had a warm safe place for you to sleep. Even if he has to carry you on his back, he tried to provide you at least with some basic comfort.

”Did you go through the drawer?” Erwin asked.

”W-What.?” Y/N asked, acting dumbfounded.

”I asked a question Y/N and I expect an answer, not another question.” Erwin said before fully turning to face her. “Answer me.”

”I d-did.” Y/N whispered before looking down at her feet, not wanting to see his face.

”No no no. Look up.” Erwin demanded as he lifted her head up by the chin with his hand. “What did you see?”

“Pictures.” Y/N simply said.

”Do you know how hard it is for me to see you talking to those devils?” Erwin asked as he kept the hand on her chin. “I don’t think you do.”

”G-get your hand off me! Your a creep!” Y/N yelled as she stepped away from him.

”Oh? Is that what you think of me?” Erwin asked as he towered over her. “I’m not going anywhere. And neither are you.”

Erwin gripped the wooden object and swung it at her head, knocking her out.

Sitting at the vanity mirror, Y/N looked at herself only to look back at Erwin who was closing the door behind him. This would probably be the worst night and day of her life. And who would’ve thought a bride would hate her own wedding day?

”Look forward Y/N, not at me right now.” Erwin ordered.

Looking back at herself in the mirror, Erwin walked over to her and stood behind her. Resting his hands on her shoulder.

”You messed up tonight. On purpose.” Erwin said.

”I didn’t d-do it on purpose! I swear-“ Y/N protested.

”Quiet. You’ll only speak when I tell you to Y/N, you know that by now.” Erwin demanded.

Sweat ran down her forehead as she continued to stare at herself in the mirror. Erwin’s hands made his way to her arms as he rubbed them up and down.

”When I told you, not to try and get help. What’s the one thing you did?” Erwin asked.

”I a-asked for help.” Y/N answered.

”You’re stupid for trusting that woman at the wedding. She is stupid and couldn’t get your signs of help. Neither could your brother.” Erwin said.

“I didn’t say anything to Aiden!” Y/N yelled only to quickly silence herself.

”You’re lucky I even let that brat come to the wedding. Luckily, he’s oblivious just like everyone.” Erwin muttered. “Stupid flower boy.”

”Stop it!” Y/N sobbed out before covering her face in her hands to cry. She let it all out, all of her anger, sadness, disgust. Everything. Whatever makeup was on her face was spilled down her cheeks. He had kept her in his mansion for a few years, finally took her outside only to be meeting fancy, rich people at parties. 

“Now now Y/N, we don’t want you to get the prettiness off your face. Imagine what would happen if you had red eyes and tears all the time? I wouldn’t be able to dress up my doll or have her meet my friends.” Erwin said as he gently pulled her head out of her hands and made her face the mirror.

Y/N’s eyes were pink from the non-stop sobbing, the very little makeup on her face was ruined until Erwin wiped it off to prevent it spilling on her expensive dress or staining her beautiful face.

“Tell me, what is you want so bad that you’d want more than a life with me? Hm?” Erwin asked.

”I.. I want to see Krista, Ymir, Sasha. I want to see them again goddammit! I don’t want Aiden to think I’m living a happy life when I’m not! Has the only family I have.. I want to see my mom and dad again!” Y/N answered only for Erwin to grip her cheeks and direct her attention to his face.

”Too bad. You’re going to let your husband dress you up and play with you like the doll you are. I won’t hesitate to punish you just to teach you. Do you understand?” Erwin asked for Y/N to simply nod and let him go.

Was this the life Y/N even wanted? A life of rich and fame? She’s rather be with those three idiots, talking about something stupid like they used to. And her brother was too young to understand anything but was everything to her at one point. 

“Get changed into your nightwear and go to sleep. I’ll join you in a while.” Erwin demanded.

”Y-Yes Erwin.” Y/N stuttered.

Live Playing Double Exposure Chapter 1 Part 2 (Except I’m not live playing because I forgot to post this when I was live playing. 😅)

A: Theory: It’s an alternative universe version of Max leaving the polaroids around.

B: I hate the owl imagery given the last time we got owl imagery it was during the barn in the first game.

C: The sound design on this game is great. I don’t know how I feel about the actual songs, but the sound design is great.

D: Safi just…sitting slumped over like that after getting shot was super fucking eerie holy shit.

E: Man. They’re really rubbing Chloe and Max’s “forever” in our noses huh.

F: It’s so sad to know that Chloe and Max were never the same after the storm. I mean, you know they wouldn’t be, but it seemed like they were doing okay in LIS 2. :(

G: “If I could undo your death I would do it without a second thought” I’m going to analyze the hell out of this line later because holy shit it’s crazy for Max to say that.

H: Max’s avoidant tendencies are stressing me out. Don't get wrong they make perfect sense for her characters, but I'm still stressed all the same. Like, PLEASE let people share in your grief. PLEASE talk to Safi's Mother.

I: Max having a dark room made my stomach drop. I know it’s perfectly normal for a photographer to have a room like that, but to see the words “dark room” in a LIS game made my stomach flip. It sure is a character note that it's not a "dark room" "dark room" though, it's more of a laundry room.

J: What??? So Max just saw her friend get murdered and now she's getting dressed up cute for her crush??? I'm glad we get to see Max's house...but that was a...weird scene transition.

K: I have so much to say about the journal, but I'm going to have to make a full post on it because I just can't quickly sum up my feelings here.

L: Okay. So Chloe broke up with Max due to storm trauma basically. Because that’s what I’m taking from this.

M: YEARS. Max and Chloe have been broken up for YEARS?? I can’t think clearly about the timelines right now but does that mean they broke up not to long after LIS 2?

N: “You need to eat Max” I’m won over.

O: “Friend?” The way Max says that is devastating.

P: There’s celestial stuff all over the box! That seems relevant.

Q: I feel Reggie on a spiritual level.

R: I love that you can decide if Max is a tea or coffee drinker. I choose tea!

S: “You’re the real storm.” Max flashbacking to her nightmare. :((((((

T: It feels so cool to see Max’s work around campus. But seeing that Max’s first photo outside of Arcadia was one of a ruined dinner kills me considering she was likely thinking of Joyce and Warren.

U: Did Max just say “chucklefucks” LMAO

V: I feel like this game is going to age poorly given the amount of meme references.

W: Does Max have some chemistry with Vinh or am I insane??

X: Already love Gwen. In fact I’m so in love with her that I found her book in the library immediately, but decided to pick the lock to impress her.

Y: I’m also down to romance Vinh, and I think he’s a love interest? If he is then I’m going with Amanda in this save, but Vinh will get a flirty Max in the other one!

Z: It makes me laugh so hard that you can choose whether Max is ACAB or not.
