Men in skirts part 2
I love the way a confident man looks in a skirt.
Maybe all this political bullshit will motivate more men to protest by wearing skirts.

To the people who told me I wore too much glitter in my makeup: I will cover your pillow in it, I will put it in your shampoo and face wash. When tomorrow comes and you are covered in it, I will go and tell you that you are wearing too much glitter. I will watch as you sit there in glitter-ness and I will laugh.

You have a feeling I hate jeans?
Hfowjdjdowjfkro HOW DID YOU KNOW
okay no nononon look- I don't hate jeans. They look sooo attractive on other people, like ripped jeans are so hot even skinny jeans look good
But given a choice between wearing jeans and not wearing jeans. I would not wear jeans. (I have a few but I sure as hell am not wearing them)

hi! so first, I'd love your blog! I've learned so much from you already.
I'd like to know if me not being able to dress in a more "punk" way will make me less of a punk? I'm 18, living with my parents and currently getting a degree in early childhood education. Not only I fear my parents judgment, but I'm also scared that people will doubt my professionalism in the future.
again, I love your blog!!
Are you the same anon that Key got? Anyway I was just thinking of this.
You know what I wore today? Walmart combat boots, camo cargo shorts, an INK shirt, and a tattoo choker. I looked damn good too. I make camo look cute. I also like wearing cottagecore outfits. I love butterfly shirts. I love shirts in Simply Southern styles. I have white cargo shorts that make me look like a Florida retiree.
You don’t have to dress punk 100% of the time. You’re allowed to contain multitudes. Honestly it can be a lot of work and effort into just dressing up in punk clothes. Spike bracelets aren’t conducive to a lot of things. They get sweaty. I was talking to my coworker about how in my teen emo years I would wear those rubber bracelets and when I pulled them off you could hear them squick as I slid them off from the sweat.
Also yeah, professionalism? Hard to do in being punk. Take Key’s advice on his post for some tips but honestly like. You’re allowed to destress from any aesthetic. Like if people wanna @ me for not being punk when I’m wearing my strawberry milk pajama pants like fucking go ahead. You’re allowed to have breaks from an aesthetic. You’re allowed to have other interests. The addition of other aesthetics or the lack of a punk aesthetic doesn’t make you any more or less punk. And besides, if you wanna be punk and go to riots you DON’T want to be wearing patch pants. You wanna be wearing baggy solid color clothes. Wear what you want fuck the aesthetic. It’s cool if you wanna look the part but make no mistake it is a clothing aesthetic just as much as a political position. You can dress the part, act the part, or both. Dressing the part without acting the part makes you a poser but acting the part without dressing the part just makes you a decent human being (and still politically punk) and the world needs more of those too.
There are more ways to be punk than just dressing a certain way and listening to certain music. There has to be.

You don’t need to be hot, cute, pretty, sexy, beautiful, or attractive in any way. Ever.
You can be ugly, plain, lopsided, weird, glaring, tacky, messy, and disfigured. Anytime, all the time.
And still be lovable, valuable, wanted, appreciated and treasured.
What matters ISN’T that you think you’re sexy, or beautiful. What matters that you LIKE what you look like. You might think you look ugly and LIKE it. You might think you look downright REPULSIVE and LOVE it. Not because you LOOK good but because you FEEL good. Maybe you WANT to look pretty but pretty to you looks tacky to someone else. Maybe what beautiful to someone else looks weird to you. What I’m saying is that you belong to yourself and you are allowed to call something what it is and feel what you feel about whether that lines up with society’s definition or your community’s or not. Beautiful doesn’t fit everything and that’s because it shouldn’t. Ugly fits lots of things but that doesn’t mean that’s worthless or bad. Maybe you really, truly are ugly and maybe you’d love yourself a lot more if you stopped trying to be pretty. Maybe you’d find friends you actually felt comfortable around if you are what you wanted and started wearing crocs with socks. Maybe you ARE society’s standard of beautiful and would feel more comfortable being plain. Maybe you just want to be weird and would feel more inside your body if you started wearing teal eyeshadow and layered your clothing a lot more. The goal should be that YOU LIKE HOW YOU LOOK, not that you look “right”.

Did anybody else’s emotionally abusive mom tell them “you’re too young to wear X” until you turned 18, and then immediately changed it to “you’re too old to wear X” and constantly try to dress you like an old church lady? With a heavy sprinkling of “you’re too fat to wear X” and “your boobs are too big for you to wear X” thrown in? And now you’re close to 40 and teaching yourself to wear whatever the fuck you want even though you’re definitely fatter and older than you were then?

I looked around at people and saw what I’d like to wear. In every instance that was what women were wearing. I started with coated jeans. When people asked me if I was running, I started wearing heeled boots to make it more obvious.
I love heeled ankle boots. After wearing them around my social circle it was obvious my dressing was not socially normal. But F# that. No one really minded, I was still accepted and one son of a friend said he felt like it was ok to be different, to be himself because of the way I expressed myself.
From there it’s a question of skirts or dresses?
Dresses can be less obvious, but skirts are obviously feminine. But honestly, no one has turned me away no matter what I wear. I make no attempt to look feminine, I don’t wear makeup and I normally have facial hair.
I hope for the time that men can wear what they like and not be mocked, as women fought for themselves.
To all men. Take the step! You will be accepted (yes, some infantile boys will be a problem) but those who love you will accept you. Even my mum accepts how I dress!
Love to you all ❤️
