was trying to figure out a few days ago how everyone else "officially" (because. lbr. they know.) learns of the Miralda development and I was initially like well that's not really something that just comes up over dinner but. Mirabelle would 100% hold a staff meeting with the express purpose of letting everyone know in a controlled environment and assuring that the personal will not affect the professional.

and then when everyone else is like "(oh good we can stop pretending we're not aware lol)" there's also

hewwo!! i recognise one of those tags as mine hehe honestly i have been here for years but am still not super sure if there is a fixed etiquette? generally people are good with you screenshotting tags and posting them. a lot of people are also happy to be tagged in things. I think if you tag someone, if they dont like it they will either ignore or tell you they would prefer not to anyway! so i would say go ahead hehe i for one like being talked to

Orzammar’s ceilings rose high and cavernous, reaching endlessly up into the darkness of the earth. It tricked the mind and eye both, this underground firmament that held up a pitch-black sky.

It still wasn’t enough to trick Mahariel. Somewhere in those formidable heights eventually there would be rock, trapping all poor souls underneath, their connection to the real world all but severed. The pressure of stale air—for what else could air be, when it was breathed and shared between so many enclosed bodies—weighed heavily on him, a sense of claustrophobia making his shoulders clench under his armor. He stared with a strange sense of dissociative fascination at the lava river flowing nearby, thick and ponderous, eye-watering bright. It would have been beautiful, had it not been so clearly unnatural.

Heavy footsteps—equally unnatural—encroached on his seclusion, the rust-fire ceramic the dwarves favoured for their roads showing hairline cracks under the intruder’s passage. 

“It looks uncharacteristically thoughtful,” Shale said, her voice scratchy with unkind amusement. “Is it contemplating going for a swim?”

Mahariel pressed his lips together, too discomfited for his usual stoicism. “Would you jump in there?”

“Ha!” Despite her immobile face there was a definite hint of a grin in Shale’s bearing. “I should! I’m not a weakling squishbag like it—I’ve been forged in fires much stronger than this, and my body is harder than the hardest diamond.” She brought up an arm to stroke her chin, a mockery of a gesture. “I bet bathing in lava would feel refreshing.”

“Well, you’re welcome to it,” Mahariel said, abruptly feeling all the exhaustion of their journey, of the things that lay ahead. “You’re welcome to every part of this. I just want to get things over with, and go back to the surface. Feel the real sun on my face.”

“Boring,” Shale sneered. “It whines so shamefully.”

Mahariel shrugged, and didn’t bother deny it. He shouldered his bow and walked away, knowing without looking that she would follow.
