Periodic reminder from your friendly neighbourhood gymbro: The work you put in will come back. If you modify your workouts, the reward will still come to you.
So do knee pushups (no, we're not calling them "girl pushups"). Do weight machines. Put the resistance or weight low on machines.
The reward of fitness still benefits you because fitness is not a punishment. It should never be used or seen as a punishment for existing. Fitness is just... part of existence for many of us. However your fitness looks is fine. Don't let the broader fitness culture tell you that you need to do things their way. You'll be fine with what you're doing. If you stop needing modifications as you start doing more intense workouts, great! But if you never stop using modifications, then that's fine because fitness isn't a punishment or admittance of failure.

kanoka and yachi can be gym buddies. yachi is scared of the gym because there are very many skilled, giant people and she has no idea what any of the machines do or what good form is, but she wants to go for her Mental Health and Building Self Confidence and Fixing Her Artist Shrimp Posture. and kanoka is very familiar with gym equipment and good form when exercising. also she loves yachi.
#i don't think kanoka would INTENTIONALLY flirt with yachi via hip thrust machine but it has the effect#i do think kanoka while trying to convicne yachi to trust her strength more is like 'your legs are a lot stronger than you think they#are! i get why you're reaching for a five kg weight but even as a beginner your legs and hips are able to comfortably support more!'#and then kanoka proceeds to hip thrust 300 lbs no problem while showing yachi proper form and is like. found school im going to work towards for fun . not full commitment bc theres like a 4-8% acceptance rate . but just make sure i have it in mind just to see . for sillies
