I completely agree a lot of the virgin fics around can come across weird, I’d love to see your take on it!! I love your writing so much 🥹
Thank you for the vote of confidence! Again, I want to stress I'm not dragging the trope itself or any particular fics, I just think there's a lot of unexplored territory within that space. I feel like I see a lot of virgin characters portrayed as virginal - blushing, uninformed and corruptible. I don't find that realistic, I think there can and should be a distinction between inexperience and purity and that could make for an interesting story. Virgin characters can be knowledgeable about sex, be horny, be confident in their sexuality. To me, "can we try this" is just as interesting -and hot- as "let me teach you" ("teach me" fic is great, don't get me wrong! But there's so much more that can be done!)
I think my thesis here is that my virgin character would be just as slutty as my other characters lmao. Virginity can be a plot point without necessarily being their main character trait.

i feel like this is a topic that needs more than just a tumblr post to fully expand on but. i think that in modern-day christian culture we place WAY too much emphasis on Feeling and Emotion . and i think that this attitude is part of the reason why the most common struggle you hear is "God isn't speaking to me/I can't hear God". feels like the standard set is that you're constantly feeling a Supernatural presence and it's Big and Obvious and it Shows and you can't contain it... when that's just not it. God can be quiet. God can nudge. God's voice is contained in the Bible that you hold between your hands. If you're not "hearing Him" then maybe your expectation of what hearing Him is is flawed.

Calling him dad:
I feel like Cale would have a blank face with mildly wide open eyes if the kids were to call him dad. Raon would fumble with the words a little because while he considers him his father, he still feels shy about being so open about it. Hong is beet red while shouting in a mix of embarrassment and excitement about proclaiming this to his dad’s face. On would say it a bit quietly but steadily, glancing away for a second before maintaining eye contact because she wants him to know they mean it. She looks almost unfazed but there’s a slight red on her ear. They see Cale have a blank look on his face and know it’s because he’s an idiot and needs a moment to process. Which is absolutely right because he’s like ‘me? Dad? Where did they get that idea? Well, not that i mind, but– when did this development happen?
And he’s close to saying they should not call him that if they feel weird about it, but he sees the genuine excitement on the boys’ faces, and the fond determination on On’s face that seems to know his turmoil and tells him that yes they mean it and no this doesn’t feel weird it feels liberating and suddenly he can’t say anything. He just pats each of their heads before letting them fall into his arms in a warm embrace.
Because children should be happy.
And his kids will be happy for as long as he can make it so.
So if calling him ‘dad’ makes them feel like this, he’s okay with it.
(He’s more than okay with it)
He ignores the way his chest feels. Because that’s not important right now.
What’s important is that On started sniffling like she was about to cry.
That was new. On had never made such an expression. She seemed happy and relieved.
Like the weight she had been carrying as the older sister that was thrown away by her home was finally lifted from her small shoulders. The usual serious expression was gone.
And Cale hugged her tighter. He ignored the way his arms trembled from the effort. So did the kids.
Because children should feel like children.
And On was feeling like a kid again.
And her siblings were right there with her.
With their dad.
With this large yet little family of theirs.
In their own corner of the world.

a mock zoom call for a very very self-indulgent modern office au lmao
two important facts about this AU that exist in my head:
The King is the equivalent of 55-year old Betty from Finance, mortal enemy to the 24-year old office worker from a different department, like that one post. Except it's everyone. He has collective beef with everyone.
Loop exists in this AU as they are. They got reverse isekai'ed(?) in since it'd be Funny :)

heeseung's dusky complexion is the sexiest, most beautiful sight i have ever laid my eyes on. fuck ANYONE who dares whitewash his sunkissed skin!!!!!!! whoever dares to commit such a heinous crime to his ethereal, exotic complexion deserves INTENSE persecution!!!!!
heeseung’s skin is mesmerizing in every way possible. he is the epitome of eye candy. he’s the living personification of honey. I wanna lick his skin because i’m SURE it tastes like honey. pretty sure the sun kissed his skin a little too hard 😮💨 I’m actually quite jealous of the sun because it was able to even KISS heeseung’s skin in the first place!!!!!!
could you just IMAGINE kissing heeseung’s sunkissed, naked body? and seeing him get all flustered and holding back his whines because he’s so shy by all the praise you’re giving him about his beauty!???🥺
god. the way i view unwhitewashed idols is no different from a victorian in the 1800s freaking out at the sight of a woman’s ankles or wrists….
