Request for wear Wednesday - a couple of wear creatures create a safe space for people who lost their mates. It's like a shelter where they can be protected. Sometimes it's mom's with pups who need protection. Reader comes in with her sisters pup after sister and her mate got killed by a insane wear creature. All of the wear creatures have a thing for her.

Maybe the wear creatures could be Nick V, Steve, Bucky, Jefferson and let's throw in Cole too. Idk what creatures they would be though.

Dr. Nick Vaughan — specialist in paediatric & neonatal medicine 8:30 am

The door opens before you can even touch the handle, a familiar face towers above you and the stern gentleness you’ve grown accustomed to over the past two weeks is almost a welcome sight. Jefferson is quick to open the door and let you in, a quick flick of his tail before it vanishes had once been startling but you’ve also grown used to it.

He, like your sister’s late husband and mate, belongs to the fox family. A distinctive breed of were creatures that also afflicts your niece, the tiny little newborn that you’re a guardian of. You thank Jefferson quietly in passing, stepping inside and exhaling slowly as the room started to become more illuminated from the dark outdoors.

“Morning,” he closes the door behind you and offers to take your coat, slipping it off your shoulders as more of the familiar faces you’ve seen start to appear, “Nick is almost ready.”

Steve and Bucky, a pair of werewolves that have remained close knit since childhood, act as the guards to keep far more feral beasts from the shelter. They’re large, both overshadowing Jefferson is height and width. They encroach upon you, slowly as to not scare you or your niece, and greet you with low rumbled.

“Its dark out,” you response after silence, slowly rocking Saoirse’s car seat, “it makes it hard to see.”

“You need someone to pick you up?” Jefferson offers first, resting a hand on your arm. “Y/N we’re all here for you.”

He, as a social worker, first set up contact with the agency dealing with your niece. It was in your late brother-in-laws will that you get custody of your newborn niece. The attack that led to their deaths was shocking and horrific, it rattled you to your core and left you in a state of shock when you happened to learn about it.

Through to the end, your sisters husband and mate protected their baby. He died to save them and entrusted you to raise her, above anyone and everyone else, they trusted you.

“I don’t know how to do this.” You whispered, setting the car seat on the floor, crouching to unbuckle Saoirse from her seat. “I don’t know how to raise a hybrid child, I can barely…”

You stop yourself and gently lift her from the seat, nestling her in your arms. You dressed her in a soft fox onesie, something that reminded you of her dad and mom, something that brought a rise of emotion to the forefront of your being.

“Y/N, sweetheart…” Cole Turner was the next to find you, a stack of requisitions in his hands and a slight exhausted look in his eyes. “Nick is almost ready for you. Do you need anything?”

Cole was the least assuming of the men, he and Nick Vaughan were the less imposing of them all. Nick and Cole were werecats although on the softer side of that spectrum.

Though to you, there was no difference. They were all kind and compassionate, every one of them was empathetic to you and your niece.

“I’m fine, I’m just…” you rocked her gently, a sigh falling from her lips. “She’s warm all the time and I don’t know if its her natural body heat or if its a fever and-”

The clock struck the half hour mark and as expected Dr. Vaughan had stepped out of his office. He greet you like the rest, stopping low to gauge her temperature with his fingers.

“Come into my office, junebug. We’ll get her looked after.” You turned to follow him, Jefferson coming after you with Saoirse’s seat balancing on his arm.

“If you need anything, let us know-!” Cole called after you, a sentiment they all shared.
