Weston A Price Foundation
This guy was a dentist in the early twentieth century who became famous for warning about the dangers of diet changes happening at the time. Young people were less sturdy than they had been, and crooked teeth in kids was becoming more common. He traveled around the world to record the phenomenon, which was being caused by the introduction of cheap processed foods, especially sugar, white flour and vegetable oils. Promotion of these was displacing traditional diets and he documented the results as they happened.

Traditional peoples highly valued ANIMAL FATS, MEAT, EGGS, POULTRY, SEAFOOD, BROTHS and ORGAN MEATS as necessary for raising strong children. They could see the results as colonialism and marginalization forced them to adopt inferior diets. Dr. Price proved that Vitamins A, D and K2 (the Price Factor) from animal foods are necessary for healthy growth, lifelong health and strong immune systems. He found NO traditional culture which practiced a Vegan diet.

Chapter 363: Retreatus Interruptus (Part 1)
Jack leaned back, basking in the warm sun. Having had Ted at his side all weekend, he found himself content in a way he’d never previously thought possible. Before, the two could only enjoy stolen moments together. But now that Jack had moved into Dellingham Cottage, they quickly found themselves falling into a more domestic routine.
“I hate that it’s Sunday already,” Ted said. “This weekend has been wonderful, and I’m not looking forward to going back to the capital.”
Jack smiled.
“So why go back?” he asked. “Why not stay here … with me.”
Ted sat up and turned toward Jack.
“Are you serious?”
“Absolutely,” Jack said, facing him. “There’s plenty of room, and we’re less than an hour from your office at the embassy.”
“True enough,” Ted replied. “But are you sure we’re ready to live together? It’s a big step.”
Jack smiled.
“I’ve never been more certain of anything in my life,” he said. “This weekend has made me realize that … well, I love you, Ted.”
Ted dropped to his knees and took Jack’s face into his hands.
“I love you, too,” he said. He kissed Jack deeply, suddenly wondering why it had taken him so long to declare his love. He’d known from their first night together that – so long as Jack felt the same – this would be forever.
“So does that mean yes?” Jack asked, pulling away.
“Yes ... of course, yes!” Ted said, nodding. “I think we should ….”
“Jackson?” a woman’s voice called.
They quickly stood as Jack’s parents rounded the corner of the house.
“Oh, there you are, dear,” Eliza said, waving. “We’re sorry to stop by unannounced, but I wanted to make sure you were settling in.”
“Obviously you are, since you're already welcoming guests” Price said, coldly.
Jack stiffened, but was soon introducing his parents as the Baron and Baroness Woodridge.
“And this is His Highness Prince Theodore, Weston’s ambassador to Torenth,” Jack said. “The prince and I met at a literary event several months ago, and have since struck up a friendship.”
Price eyed his son, then Ted, carefully before speaking.
“Your highness,” he said with a nod. “I suppose I’m surprised to find someone of your background here at Dellingham Cottage.”
“Why?” Ted asked. “I was just telling Jack how much I liked it here after being in the city for so long. It’s lovely.”
“I’ve always thought so,” Eliza said with a smile.
“In fact, his highness and I were just discussing his moving in,” Jack said.
“Yes, I was looking for somewhere outside the city, but close enough to commute,” Ted said. “Dellingham seems perfectly suited, and Jack is splendid company.”
“Really?” Price asked. “My son continues to surprise me these days.”
“Well, I think it’s a wonderful idea,” Eliza said. “Jackson has always been a bit … reclusive. Having someone here will be good for him.”
There was a lull, which Jack filled deftly.
“Why don’t we go inside and I’ll make us some tea?” he asked.

The higher and higher grocery prices get the less and less outrageously out of touch the 17$ banana sounds. And I think that's part of the problem. The grocery prices are being set by people who think a 17$ banana is reasonable, so of course a 10$ banana is a great deal. It's not, not in any world, except the world in which these rich folks live in.

Somerset and Bristol Costs of Emptying a Septic Tank - Understanding the pricing for tank emptying in 2023
The expenses involved in emptying a septic tank can vary quite significantly, largely influenced by factors like the volume of waste and the distance to the location. For a ballpark figure, we can consider the costs of employing a fully loaded large tanker, which represents the upper limit in terms of price. This might set you back up to £500, encompassing the process of pumping out and disposing of the waste.
However, in the case of a local domestic tank—say, one that holds up to 1000 gallons of waste—the cost is generally more manageable, starting around £160. This figure, however, is not fixed and can rise based on a few key variables.
The septic tank is an underground installation. Therefore, storage isn't an issue once it's installed. However, maintaining its health and functionality is crucial. Regular inspection by a professional every 3-5 years is recommended, and depending on usage, the tank may need to be pumped every 3-5 years to remove sludge and prevent overflow.
Firstly, the distance to the site plays a substantial role in determining the final cost. Longer travel times mean higher fuel consumption and increased labour hours, which subsequently drive up the price. Secondly, the volume of waste to be removed directly impacts the cost as well. Larger volumes of waste require more work to pump out and more space in the tanker, which translates to higher fees.

Calgarians gathered in the Beltline on Saturday to protest high grocery prices and call for more stringent regulations on Canada's major grocery chains.
Rally goers held up signs as they marched down 17 Avenue S.W. that read "Stop the grocery gouge!" and "It is a privilege to be wealthy. It is a right to be fed."
The demonstration comes in the wake of a $500 million antitrust class action settlement paid by Loblaw Cos. Ltd. and its parent company George Weston Ltd. for their involvement in a bread price-fixing scheme.
Maggy Wlodarczyk, chair of the Calgary chapter of the Alberta Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), who organized the rally, says people are sick and tired of paying high prices for food while grocery chains rake in massive profits.
