Calling all BKDK fanfic curators:

As a relatively fast reader who just joined the MHA fandom a couple of months ago, I’ve read through most of The Big Ones. Those one-shots with hundreds of kudos, those long, complete multi-chaps with thousands of bookmarks on AO3. I think at this point I’ve read most of what many people would consider the BKDK “classics.”

What I want now, and what I’m struggling to find because (bless) this fandom is so big, are those hidden gem fics with GORGEOUS writing. One-shots or 300k+ words, I don’t care. I just want prose that makes me weak. I want sentences that give me that gut-punch “holy shit there has never been a more perfect or beautiful sentence” feeling.

Your blog is literally??? A hidden gem??? I love the way you’ve written Dottore, I think a lot of people undermine just how awful he really is, but the dread that I felt while reading your pieces are just, mwah. Perfect.

Tysm omg 🥺 I'm always so glad to hear it!!! Personally I really, really like him when he's unhinged and outright evil as hell. I still enjoy reading fics where he's portrayed a bit softer too but nothing scratches the Itch with him, for me, better than Evil Motherfucker Dottore.

I just think he'd be awful!!! It'd be such a horrible experience if he ever took an interest in someone, especially romantically, with what we've gleaned of his personality thus far. He definitely strikes me as a character with the most canon yan potential (harbingers do, though, actually- ex: Scara, Childe)

It's especially the horror of having someone who knows the human body well. What can you even do in that situation? Many yans might not be able to cut off your legs without the very real possibility of infection/other complications that could lead to death, but him? He could do it. Easily. He could do worse. He could paralyze you from the waist down, instead, if he decided against outright amputation. There are a Lot of things he could do without killing you. The human body is surprisingly resilient, and I have no doubt he knows its limits well.

you are right, i'm very excited for shownu to come back to fully experience the chaos that is monsta x (and love. lots of love. can't wait to see them reunited) and the age order was such a surprise for me too!! was shocked to learn joo is NOT the eldest. actually rap line as maknae line was mind-boggling to me, but now it makes perfect sense.

personally i think they're hilarious everywhere, but my favorite moments are shownu breaking an axe and everyone losing their marbles, also the spanish telephone game, and the idol room episode where shownu and wonho were supposed to carry the rest in sleeping bags to their respective sides as they were trying to escape 😭

wonho's compositions are sooo good i loved what he made for mx and i love a lot of his solo work too!! my favorite is flash, he really is good at those emotional tracks

those are all such good videos!! i rewatched the spanish telephone game sooo much when it came out, they're really just saying anything 😭 they've done telephone game a few times and it's always so funny! also i was thinking and another one of my favs is from monsta x on vacation when shownu runs away from the camera crew?? it is just so insanely funny like he is 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

the holidays have been fun!! i traveled home to my parent's home and spent time with family for christmas today 💕

omg such good questions!! for the 10 songs i think i'd probably go with a good variety of some of their more mellow songs and then some of their more fun songs that really hype you up and then just a few more that i feel just deserve to be there!! in no specific order: 1. because of u, 2. gravity, 3. U R, 4. oh my!, 5. fallin', 6. burning up, 7. neol hada, 8. monsta truck, 9. love killa, and 10. middle of the night. i really like all of these songs but i think they're also pretty universally loved among the fandom so they'd probably appeal to many non fans as well!!

a day with minhyuk 🥺🥺 i would love to go thrifting with minhyuk i feel like he would enjoy something like that so much and really be able to find some good hidden gems!! i would also love to do something artsy like taking a pottery class or something, i've always wanted to do that and i think he'd also really like to explore a different form of art. and we can spend the rest of the day being homebodies and chilling and watching youtube together!!
