#in our enclosures!!#video linked as source; which i'm glad to see already has a million views and is trending. That's Right#lackadaisy#WHICH i have been reading since at least '07 when i was thirteen my god b/c this animation is based on the ongoing webcomic#like does its influence show up Directly in some Discrete way i can point to in my art? not very easily probably. And Yet.#the inspiration....i wasn't able to be Regularly Only for at least another year / art done Nonprofessionally Online was novel to me#like wow ppl can make & post fanart of w/e they love huh....didn't know webcomics were a thing & i never really read that many since but.#good god the quality of Lackadaisy at its onset is like this is superb?? this person putting in all their talent and effort???#and Then you get years & years more art and i don't even know what superlatives to throw out abt its quality as it evolves. obsessed w/it..#if i see a new lackadaisy comic page i Will be acting out. obviously this animation is a delight & also stunning. and fascinating to also#juxtapose as a Translation / Interpretation of the comic in a different medium & standalone snippet of Story#and that we're not even quite there in the comic timeline; Taking Notes abt character info we get distilledly here....genuinely love like#take it back to '07 i'm like oh boy can't wait for the dream team to assemble. then a decade later when it did? Oh Boy. that is payoff lol#namely hooray for stitches and mudbug at the field office for every passing gangster. killing one marigold associate but not the other#which seems like a promising start to shootouts w/the other dream team triumvirate. i adore that in canon so far mordecai freckle & rocky#have met but only over a nice brunch. re: all intentions anyways. anyways i'm like Gifs Must Be Made while i'm also so riled afresh abt the#comic that i've been sooo hype for for over fifteen yrs now babeyyy Deservedly. i've done a couple of rereads & ought to do another....#For Interest it'd probably take a few sittings to catch up from the start but there is much to be engaged over....this ongoing story that's#historical fiction prohibition bootlegging cats with plenty of focus on characters & several Mysteries. which i'm better at parsing now lol#like one of the more recent rereads like Oh Of Course x (probably) accidentally killed his y & z took the fall & that's a binding secret...#Not [oh of course] abt the circumstances surrounding a's death & how b & c were involved. nor the ''what's marigold's damage'' mystery#which is great. love to not know things. love that we can readily follow all the emergent drama everyone's wading in nowadays. hell yeah#anyways admire my organized approach to gifs here. four shots each Expressions Atmosphere Action Groupshots#sure might've muddled through gifmaking for this anyways but fr being a huge lackadaisy comic enjoyer for now most of my life helps#and its very Overall Inspiration like. just really getting the [you can really just draw stuff out here] going. fr the art's detail & skill#and that enrichment like i'm gonna have a great time following this. #boy#boy 2010#taika waititi#video#videoedit#i don't know what the point of this was supposed to be but the spirit moved me so#had to cut some things out of this so i could post it so i think i'll make another little video for boy's relationships with the other kids#like i had a part in here for dynasty but it was too long. this already is only like 0.1 MB under the size limit#something something rocky's relationship with alamein something and how alamein doesn't really know what to do with him#like he seems to find it a lot easier to interact with boy and like rocky saying they're alike after alamein says he's the incredible hulk#and trying to heal him like e.t. literally the most scene of all time#something something boy telling rocky stories about their dad at the beginning that are kind of more for him#and like his image of his dad vs boy telling rocky that he went to japan to protect rocky's feelings and preserve his image of alamein#as like this exciting heroic figure while he himself sees alamein for how he really is#but then alamein making an effort to be better and be there for them and rocky asking about japan literally is so sweet and funny#but also it's like revealing to alamein that they thought he left again#and also it's such a good subversion of expectations from a typical coming of age return to normalcy kind of ending#where things go back to how they were and only the main character is different because Growth and Life Lessons#where obviously boy has had that growth but the audience expects alamein to leave just as much as boy does#so it really is such a nice surprise and like it does so much for closure of a lot of the things that were set up throughout the film#the end. sorry i have no other outlet for this shit so

#OK BUT THIS SOMEHOW CLICKS??#First of all I just love Worf and Tuvok a lot#also...both dads#and Tuvok is like A+ dad while Worf seems to have a rocky relationship with his son#idk - I am basing this ALL from the wiki#and I'm picturing Tuvok and Worf having a 'bonding with kids' montage#where I'm sure a klingon child's energy/natural temperment is different from a Vulcans in some ways but in some ways very similar#since Vulcans have STRONG emotions and as children would need to be taught to control them#I don't think Tuvok would be too phased by Klingon childrens' emotions he'd just deal with them differently than a human or klingon would#Picturing Worf not knowing what the hell to do with Tuvok's 4 pack of quiet well behaved children who follow him around like ducklings#but I do headcanon that he has at least one wildcard (Elieth) and he and Alexander get along like a house on fire#hmm what else...#Klingons use poetry in mating rituals and Tuvok likes poetry! Imagining Tuvok reading Worf poetry without knowing the implications#and then ALSO Tuvok and Worf sparring and Tuvok kicks his ass#Worf looks at Tuvok kicking his ass reading poetry and wearing vulcan robes like 'This guy's GNC as FUCK'#they're also both more serious and very ... what's the word? patriotic?#Ughheugh. No. Patriotic might as well be a slur.#They're both deeply connected their cultures v_v and I think they'd have a lot of boring old man convos about it#It doesn't SEEM like either would have a straightforward relationship to that culture either...with Worf apparently being raised by humans#(I assume on earth?) and Tuvok having struggled to fit into Vulcan society in his youth to the point where he says he wishes he hadn't been#born Vulcan! thinking about how certain stuff with how i behave in romantic/platonic relationships is starting to come together and show a certain pattern... like how when i broke up with my first boyfriend which was online and rocky, robin reassured me and told me online connections usually end up going south because of how hard it is to maintain relationships on the internet. and how my friendship with her ended up super dark and depressing and difficult and suffocating only when i was worlds apart from her for two months... but ive never had problems with relationships until i started taking things online....im of course still going to make friends online but moving forward i think im gonna be more consciously aware of thisdjdjdjdjs because now i feel sad and i am grieving everytbing <3
#and now im sad about all of the things we could've been#if i had known about my shortcomings#this all makes sense like. i think i have issues with long distance relationships#and if i feel like for others its normal and fine but for me i think its. a massive big deal#when robin told me that after breaking up with my first boyfriend online i started looking into my older friendships/relationships online#and the stuff i fantasized about while with them#and i think this is even more clear with the way how i never have weird rocky relationships with people in person#and i dont have severe problems with tone with in person friendships#because i surely do on text and those were what kept the ship sinking too#and its weird when i was healthy and happy with robin throughout these eight years but#it became so terribly wrong and painful and i wanted to legit die when we were worlds apart#ughhhh#im noticing so so so much#and how even if * and * hurt me when i was with *#the fact that they were gone for six hours at a time because of work made it so painful too because#they were obviously so tired and hfhwhwjwgw#and. and now it makes sense why i get so weirdly jealous to the point where im nauseous#like Yea asher jealously IS normal but ur right. u know urself. u dont get jealous THIS BAD#and its bc i wish i could be normal like ur next significant other and have a healthy long distance connection#like its not that youre taken its that this never worked out but with someone else itll work out fine

#mädch rambles#this is tmi and only close friends know about this so you can completely ignore <3 i just need to get stuff off my chest :’)#so my mom has been in this relationship w her bf for like 10 years and while we were still living at home they had a long distance#relationship#and the summer before i moved to uni she decided to have us live w him in the state that he lives in and ive been here for like 5 years at#this point#and basically we have been miserable for 5 years too …. and i do believe they loved each other#but things change in 10 years and this summer has been the worst . he had a heart attack this year and i guess it’s been putting a lot of#stress on him bc he’s starting to treat my mom like shit for no reason#and ive always had a Rocky relationship w him and quite frankly i don’t want him in my life i really just don’t want anything to do w him#but my mom has been wanting to move us back home bc my grandparents are getting older and we just. don’t wanna be here anymore ya know? and#he’s just been acting like such an asshole to my mom like blowing up on her for no reason … throwing things …. it honestly worries me a#little bc idk what’s brewing in his head and i just don’t want anything to happen to my mom physically or mentally#we just need to get out of here :’) go back home be close to family and never look back here ever again . it’s just hard having a single mom#bc you want to do everything in your power to support her financially but i still don’t have my job at the hospital yet bc i’m waiting for#feedback 😭 i just want what’s best for us and i want us to be happy and I want her to be happy and not be around this asshole anymore#we should have never mo Ed here in the first place ……#hoping we can get out of here soon :’)#just there’s a lot going on :’)

thinking abt Showtime Henry and Joey ngl, they might be some of my favorite characters I have.
#ramblez#its abt the love they share and then it getting horribly destroyed#its abt Joeys apathy and disconnect from reality to Henrys emotions getting the better of him to the point where he fr#tries to hurt joey emotionally and ends up hurting so many other people too#its abt Henry spending so much time in the studio trying self justify the pain he caused#wondering whether or not it matters the intention behind actions#when joey unintentionally hurt him but he intentionally hurt Joey and if that makes him the worse person#all these questions while Joey is nowhere to be found#when Henry knows deep down what he expected to return to would be a brother desperate for his forgiveness#its about being hurt and deciding the only way to make yourself feel better is about punching down on the other people around u#esp those technically in worse positions than you are#I just really like the story a lot#I really hope I soon find the time and motivation to tell it in its entirety#bc I absolutely love what Ive been able to do with it#I also just love writing stories abt siblings with super rocky relationships Zippy n Radio r a great example of this too KJHDSFKJDFGSD

okay i know the trade came out literally like... 8 months ago so most of these issues came out well over a year ago, but volume 3 of Radiant Black is: very good
#nadia reads radiant black#also marshall is in love w/ nathan—i mean what#i have not ordered a copy of vol 4 but if i can get some spare money i will def be picking it up ASAP#not that there was a QUESTION i just don't have a job rn lol#but i do think vol 3 was the tightest yet like i liked book 1 but it was a bit rocky in places#book 2 was good but i felt the tone was a little inconsistent#(but also i fuckin LOVED the existence shit that ruled)#volume 3 ruled also and while i still think it's annoying that the only way to read Shift is Like That they did a good job setting up#his appearances w/in main plot 👍 def made sense#though i think i need to like reread from the beginning cause at this point i do not remember much about vol 1 😂#so a refresher and just going thru all 3 tomorrow + radiant red is probably a good idea for me lmao
