#when i got hashtag sick i was in hospital and i was doing my regularly scheduled call with my dad #and i really had no plans of telling him bc ive done that before and its not like he can scare the MS away or anything #i dont know what happened. maybe because it was such a fucking bad episode. maybe because i was so tired. maybe it was a secret 3rd thing #but one minute was like fine then i just burst into tears and i was crying so hard which is MEGA EW BC IM NOT A CRIER LIKE THAT #and my dad freaked out and he was like whats wrong and i didnt wanna tell him but I also sounded insane bc i spontaneously started sobbing #and he was getting more alarmed and i was upset that id upset him and so i just spat it out i was like 'listen king'#'its no biggie but my body is trying to kill me again and im just a little sad atm' and he replied 'baba why wouldnt you tell me?'#and this man who has a very big serious job literally dropped everything and took a 20 hr flight over #and he genuinely just grabbed one of his work suitcase because he showed up with nothing but dress shirts and his laptop #and i think maybe it healed me a little. i mean it def also made me sad too but mostly healed me #and he'd been here for a couple of weeks and he left today and i feel shit about being sad about it #again because he has a very big and very serious job and i genuinely dont understand how he even just showed up like that #so I felt guilty throughout #anyway i dont think he drinks anymore but i was like king have a sip of wine with me and he did and it was lovely #and I hope I become my fathers daughter and not my mother's child. praying to both our gods #heres to healing ❤️‍🩹

#the lore:#they’re in an on off throuple #lilith is ofc adams first wive #from before adam (human) was split into two adam (man) and eve (woman)#so lilith is ‘whole’; in modern understanding she’s intersex &transfeminine #lilith and eve had an affair in the garden of eden #in which lilith tempted eve to eat the fruit; while yes persuaded eve wasn’t deceived to do this she made the choice for herself #then she gets sexy w adam and feeds him the apple.#not fully a free choice on his behalf moreso eve choosing what’s best (free will&the enlightenment from the fruit) for them as a unit #adam in a lapse of judgement blames eve. bad choice buddy your wife is always right #so when they’re kicked out they split for a little bit #adam rebounds with lilith and she provides for him and it’s comfortable but he misses eve #they’re together about half a year #meanwhile eve is praying and atoning and has been cultivating plants along a river #adam tries to see eve a couple times during this but she’s mad at him still #after 7months she’s ready to fotgive him provided he helps and hunts animals for them #while they are separated eve is approached by an ‘angel’ who is lilith in disguise. she cares for her and then they go to adam.#adam is like why do you try harming us what have i ever done to you and lilith is upset that he left her and that she was kicked from eden #they get away from her etc #they set up a permanent shelter and as a reward for reuiniting and pushing back ‘satan’ (lilith) he blesses them with a child —Cain #then they later conceive Abel on their own about 2years later #they have other children etc #after abel is killed by cain adam and eve get in a fight and things are tense and there’s another brief affair with lilith #it’s a three way thing to kind of act as catharsis #later later they have seth and that brings them back together #that’s most of it #my art #adam eve and lilith #adam and eve #artistic nudity

Oh fuck tomorrow I'm going to be a little birthday boy I keep almost forgetting

#it's probably bc i dont have specific plans im just playing it by ear based on how the newborn will be #(the amount of time I'll be needed w the other kids basically depends on how much sleep the parents got the night before lol)#so i dont wanna be out too late... ahh i miss the club bro i wanna go #i love kids just to be clear which is why i do this but i also think I've gotten any child rearing out of my system #so i dont want my own. in a way it's freeing bc my future will just be for me and i won't have to worry about this stuff long term lol #ah but if I'm free on the 4th theres also something else i wanna do so maybe i shouldn't get drunk anyway #maybe just wait for the next free day 🤷‍♂️ we'll see #I've been highover BAD though shit lasted until like 8pm the next day. and i had to take the day off w the kids #luckily there happened to be other family there that took over but dude it sucked. i remember trying to help them in the morning like #ok sorry 4 year old trying to find pants i have to lay down in your bed you can do it by yourself i believe in you #so. taking the day off was a good call for their sakes too lol #he was fine just to be clear he could've done it on his own either way. i was just unhelpful 😅 i promise im usually way more attentive

i feel like a lot for me is clicking and i just can't with the AZ world anymore. the response to the p*ger thing has been balls to the walls insane

#im not speaking about people criticizing it in general #but rather the people claiming this was a massacre of civilians and that this is like one of the most evil things isr has ever done #bc like.#in a war characterized by civilian death this had actually an insanely low ratio of civilian to combatant death #and yes it's awful that a child died #but that is something that happens in war #and it's just becoming clear the my objection to the war in aza - the steep civilian death toll - is not most people's objection #bc we see a military action that killed i think what? 2 civilians?#and the response is that it's evil beyond belief and precedent #and. like.#that shows that your issue was never about civilians killed #it's that you disagree with the goal of destroying h*mas and don't see that as a just cause of war #bc ultimately a lot of these people are h*mas stans #like which we knew #but it goes beyond that. like #there are so many people who see all isr people as non-civilians #and all h*zbollah fighters as civilians #and it's just fucked beyond belief #i've known for months i can no longer organize in mainstream pro 🍉 spaces #but i'd thought the ✡️ ones were still better #and now im just. i don't want to go to AZ shuls anymore #an AZ yeshiva is having a retreat in nov and i don't even wanna go bc the roshei yeshiva have said some wack ass shit #im pulling myself out of these spaces #and that's been since before the p*ger thing #i haven't been back to an AZ shul i used to go to since october #bc i was there on oct 7 #and there was a new member event and everyone was acting happy and normal #yes the rabbi said good and normal things before dancing but the fucking vibe. idk. i just can't #with the whole scene. the whole everything #im still with kl*ztronike for now but that's rough too. went to one in october and had to pull down a 'resist colonial power by any means

#today's gone Badly and i'm upset but instead of venting abt it i'm gonna channel that energy into doing a bit of tag rambling abt Boothill #well. less abt Him and more abt uh. self-analyzing my anxiety surrounding contributing to fandoms. he's just today's catalyst #like. i know it's mostly a me thing. i'm hypersensitive to criticism and very conflict avoidant + socially anxious + perfectionistic etc.#so I'm the one that keeps myself from posting more stuff out of fear of being criticized or called-out for what i've made #bc inevitably Someone's gonna see it and think its OOC or a problematic take or they'll misread my intent. etc etc what have you #but like. that's inevitable. there's no way to communicate every single thing with all of the nuance required to avoid misunderstandings #and other times it's not a misunderstanding it's just a difference of opinions and that's Fine!! there's no accounting for personal taste #there's no accounting for several things actually. taste‚ bias‚ lore-knowledge‚ differing levels of chronic-online-ness‚ etc #so this isn't me complaining abt the state of fandom culture (although i do think. sometimes. ppl take shit a bit too seriously)#but anyways all of this is mostly just anxiety-fueled. it's not like i very often actually even receive negative feedback or anything #if anything ppl tend to tell me that i'm overthinking it and killing my own fun and worried that my stuff is more OOC than it is #which like. yeah. #thylacines can talk #faaf au #i love this au very yummy. a very fun twist on how Flower's dynamic with their parents would progress afterwards #the vessels live but the void exits their bodies in quite a violent manner (extreme pain and literally throwing up an entire person worth of #void). Flower was on guard duty and theyre found barely conscious in a pool of rapidly evaporating void. passes out seconds later #PK also had the displeasure of experiencing extene pain and burning as void forced its way out through his skin <3 And his moulds all melted #and evaporated. after the initial shock wears off theyre hit with “Oh No #the vessel“ and rush to find them. Well somebody else was already looking for the royal pair about this #Flower wakes up dazed and in pain in their father's workshop. their stomach hurts their throat burns and they feel lightheaded. the entire #place is considerably brighter than they remember and in they can hear two faint voices in the background but theyre too preoccupied with #examining their now pure white hand in shock to focus on anything else. until they hear their mother say “My wyrm they're awake” and #suddenly their parents are by their side. Now the two have no idea what void leaving their body might have done to them. Are they still #hollow? are they still dead? do they understand anything are they sentient? or was what was done pernament even without the void? do they #have the mind of a child if their sentience was restored? or do they remember anything? So WL stays by their side and helps them sit up #while their father goes to grab his tools. She's trying to keep them calm and comfort them but theyre still too disoriented to pay her much #attention. Until their father checks their breathing and they yelp audibly from the cool metal contacting their skin and suddenly they seem #much more alert. theyve never experienced true coldness before. PK quickly apologises and tries to be gentler with them. Theyre breathing #properly and they have a heartbeat. And he just pauses for a long while just. listening to their heart beating. Many emotions to be had #after the exam's over he asks them point blank how theyre feeling. And Flower looks up at him still seeming a little disoriented. and then #they lower their hand to their stomach and mutter 'My tummy hurts...a-and my throat burns'. It's to be expected after the way the void #left their body. so he goes to grab them some water and meds and they also ask for food and a mirror. And after he returns they just stare #at themself in the mirror and pull on their bangs for a while then blurt out 'I have your eyes' when PK asks if everything's okay. And he #and he almost chokes up as he replies 'Yeah...Yeah you do'. Flower eventually spins a lie that they remember everything but its all distant #and blurry. Like they were not aware until now. They figured it'd be better to not break their hearts #And now the three have to figure out how to be a family while PK is also scrambling to find a new solution to the infection #oops i meant to only give a brief rundown in the tags which is why it was in the tags. but i got too invested KDHDKFB

if i had a cent for every time jared harris played a veteran, harried sea captain who ordered his loyal first to have a female poc with ties to a powerful folkloric creature thrown off his ship bc of his own internalized self-loathing, i would have two cents. which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

#the terror #the sea beast #i rewatched the sea beast the weekend past #it's such a fun and beautifully animated age-of-sail-type adventure story with great voice acting; but while i was watching it #i kept noticing how much of a “well done son” guy jacob holland is towards crow before maisie sets him straight during the film's climax #which; okay i get they have an actual father-son dynamic despite not being related BUT #jacob has such intense “are you proud of me now dad?” wdsg energy for most of the film #and that naturally got me thinking about my favourite cringefail wdsg of all time (ned little my beloved)#and whether or not he'd fare better with augustus crow as his captain #(odds are still out on that one but i wouldn't hedge my bets...)#that being said i feel like jacob would be able to survive drunk!crozier. maybe not unscathed; but better than ned did #all of which led me to the definitely normal and not at all insane conclusion #that jacob holland is; in fact; the perfect amalgamation of all the traits a joplittle love-child would possess

Obviously you can pick out a BUNCH of the dragons as that Is an ongoing trope (dragons aging differently than humans, so they can look younger than they "actually are") (also while I did try to avoid including them to make them more comparable to Nino, I think Flayn can fit in either category for the purposes of The Context -- esp cause her dragon blood is meant to be secret)

Not only do we have Heroes skewing younger (a lot fitting into another trope of What If There Was A Baby Sister) we also have Baby Banner. Where the whole point is they are baby.

LIKE....... maybe I'm speaking way too soon and maybe the whole point IS this will backfire LMFAO, but it IS absurd to be presented with her art (which, def still looks youthful!) and having her say yeah I can pass as a kidnapped child. Which COULD be true! But also what do you mean no one is going to know you're a part of the Heroes. Why is no one fighting her on this. Not even including the dragons there are like a handful of Heroes who fit into her exact vibe. Some even MORE baby than her.

Me, completely randomly and with no prompting: Alright, bet–

#my art #artists on tumblr #the legend of korra #original characters #as if I don’t have enough of those already #I really don’t know what possessed me here. I mean. sometimes my mind did drift to this mention of Zaheer’s sisters #because broken bonds is my absolute favourite LaF chapter. but I ever really thought of them that much since Kat never brought them up agai #and then about 24h ago I randomly remembered them again and was like. hey. p’li and ghazan’s sisters play a huge role in our stories #and ming-hua is an only child. so what of zaheer’s sisters? what are they like? do they ever cross his mind? are they aware of his crimes?#and in the afternoon I went digging through my art supplies bc I felt like painting and found my old 2020-2022 sketchbook with 2 empty page #so I thought. why not. it’s been a while since I’ve done traditional art. so I pulled up a reference of rich EK outfits from the artbooks #and got to work. drew this up in about half an hour? traditional sketching is a lot faster than digital for some reason #then took a picture and cleaned up and coloured in procreate. and I’m really happy with the end result #this was hella fun to do as well so.. win-win?#alright enough backstory rambling. on to the characters themselves #I looked up Zaheer’s name and apparently that particular spelling is urdu in origin. so I went off that #the article I found was written edited and fact checked by three pakistani women so I think it’s about as trustworthy as these things go #summiya means ‘a woman of proper name’ and aiza means ‘respected high place in society’. which I thought were fitting for noble girls #for outfits and hairstyles. like I said. I turned to the avatar artbooks. those things are life savers. I just played around with colours #looks wise I colour picked from zaheer and then shifted around a little so they look similar enough yet not like clones of each other #but they’re also teenagers here so they wouldn’t resemble book 3 Zaheer much anyway #kat never mentioned ages but since their mother was looking for matches I assumed they were older than zaheer #he ran off at 11 or 12 iirc. so I decided they would have been 16 and 14 respectively #though in their community matches are probably made much earlier than actual marrying age. still.#if it was such a pressing matter that their mother was ‘preoccupied’ with it. then they were probably teenagers right #that’s what I’m gonna go for anyway since currently I have no information to disprove any of this #oh yeah Kat btw if you did have images of Zaheer’s sisters in mind before this then you don’t have to replace them. I just filled a blank #we’ve never talked about them so I assume there’s nothing. feel free to correct me. maybe someday we’ll discuss their personalities/lives #all I have is that they probably weren’t too close with zaheer. and their lives now are all about husbands kids and status. but we’ll see #hope you like them anyways <3

#this will go down as my cynthia #if even the music makes me shake in fear even once i’m done #i mean it’s not exactly the same as losing over and over again as a poor scared child #but like i did lose twice before winning and like that first time man. paralyzed to death man.#it’s such a violent and intense theme and moment in the story #i had my expectations of what i wanted kieran’s revenge moment to look like and it did not disappoint #so like by the second two tries when that music came in i had to try my best to steel my nerves at the start of battle #only other time i’ve felt that is in my no-items volo run #i didn’t have stress and fear against him necessarily but i for sure started trembling at giratina each time #the real kicker with both those fights is how there’s no warning and free switch in between your opponents’ pokémon #which like frankly i think is wayyy more fair to the npc and makes the fight more interesting #sv dlc spoilers #teal mask/indigo disk #also i am forever gonna be peeved about the tera fighting hydrapple instantly killing my empoleon with tera blast #but like that just makes sense right? that’s smart #he was anticipating ice type moves against it probably #and even just in general fighting is a good type #ughhhhhh but like #for all other trainers with tera orbs without a specialized type team #they’re always just gonna tera into one of that pokémon’s types #for gym leaders they’re gonna send out random pokémon that don’t fit the theme but will tera into it #to be clever and mess with you #given that kieran didn’t have a themed team here i thought his ace was just gonna go grass or dragon #but of course he’s smarter than that huh.#dude i commend this man he had me shaking #pokémon
