so i work at one of those stores where everythings a dollar. overall i really like my job as customers are usually super nice and i get paid a decent amount (not as much as i would like, but enough). 

my main problem with the job is the manager i close often with (lets call him J). whenever he gets the chance he mentions his religion. like… literally whenever he gets the chance. he even stopped a customer who was trying to buy his shit and leave bc the customer was wearing a walking dead shirt and J stopped him and started talking abt how he doesnt believe in zombies because ‘he believes in the bible".

at one point a few weeks ago (ive only been working at this location for a bit over a month) he asked me if i was religious, and i said im agnostic. im agnostic bc i have a really bad history w christianity so im overall kind of repulsed by religion but i never say or mention it.

literally EVER since i mentioned this happened he keeps bringing up his religion with me when were in the office counting our tills. Hes mentioned countless times how he wishes id have 'a vision’ and convert or some shit like that or will find some way to connect what we’re talking about to the bible. if he cant do that he’ll tell some shitty christian joke.

normally id do my best to brush it off but he even continues to insult or mock other religions. i wrote on the calender we have in the office i wanted the 31st of october off. he asked what for, and i mentioned i was helping with my roomates Samahain party, which is a pagan holiday. ever since that hes been talking shit abt paganism and other “witchy religions”, asking if my roomate sacrifices animals, and how his god is more powerful than anything else.

he also tends to like…. disregard my health/mental illesses/shit like that. whenever i mention my insomnia he says it’s 'not THAT bad" even when im lucky to get 4-5 hours of sleep and whenever i say something about my anxiety or whatever he always says “I’ve had it a lot rougher. you have a really easy life”.

at this point im just really tired of this and its making me incredibly uncomfortable and i have no idea how to approach this problem. I would approach the other managers but im still relatively new to this location and im afraid they would take his side over mine or something like that. also anxiety.
