MISUNDERSTANDING | TREVOR ZEGRAS x reader

There was always a time and place where things went wrong. Parties are where bad stuff usually happened but being a party girl herself, she hadn't experienced anything truly bad. Where she was uncomfortable or a guy didn't take a hint. Until the party that Trevor had brought her to.

The night had started well, with you sticking by his side, drinking, laughing, and playing pool. It was good. You had danced with your boyfriend a bit until he told you he was going to get a refill. Thinking nothing of it, you continued dancing.

Feeling the music and letting yourself get lost in it, you were in your own world. The music blared and your hips swayed as Usher played over the stereos.

Hands held your waist and you smiled, leaning back into Trevor. His hands wandered your body and you were completely lost in his touch. Until a smell engulfed your senses. A cheap cologne that definitely wasn't Trevors invaded your nose and you backed away as if the guy was fire. You turned around and looked at the guy, seeing a blonde frat guy with a smirk on his face. You gulped uncomfortably and your legs shook as you walked away from the guy. You couldn't believe it. You had just totally felt up some other guy, thinking it was Trevor.

How stupid could you be?

Your body felt disgusting, and you wished you could scrub away the feeling of his hands. You felt guilt, in hard waves wash over you and you stumbled to the bathroom. Your back hit the wall of the hallway leading to the bathrooms and you closed your eyes as you rubbed a hand over your face. You felt horrible for doing that. You felt like you just cheated on him, and you knew he would have to know. But how could you tell him? Would you tell him some guy felt you up and that you thought it was him? Would he believe you?

Recalling the events that just happened made it seem even farther from the truth. What if he couldn't trust you? What if he broke up with you and you would never see him again?

Without even realizing it, hot tears had fallen down your cheeks, burning the places they washed over and leaving your cheeks flushed. The exertion of the dancing, the anxiety of what had just happened, the guilt you felt. It made you want to vomit everything you had drank that night.

You put your head in your hands and let yourself cry silently. You could feel the stares of the other girls and you knew when you would look up, you'd see their sympathetic eyes. One of them put a hand on your back and you sniffled. Everything reminded you of Trevor. You cursed quietly as you realized you had been there for a while and Trevor was probably worried sick. Every time the two of you went to parties, he kept an eye or hand on you the whole night, never leaving you with anyone you didn't know. Until tonight.

Meanwhile back at the table of Cole, Jack, Jamie, and Trevor, Cole told Trevor about what he saw.

"Look, man, I didn't want to say this. I didn't think I would ever have to," Cole cut himself off as he stared at the spot where she was once dancing. Trevor eyed him worriedly and he ran a stressed hand through his hair. Jack and Jamie were quiet, which was new for them. So Trevor knew something had happened.

"Where's Y/N?" He asked, his voice tight with worry and his leg bouncing under the table.

Cole and Jack shared a look and Cole sighed. He leaned forward and looked at Trevor.

"Man.. she was just on the dance floor. Some guy was feeling her up, I guess she didn't realize it wasn't you or she did, but she ran to the bathroom after it happened." The friend group eyed Trevor worriedly as his face fell. Jack sighed sympathetically and patted his shoulder.

"She probably thought it was you. Don't jump to conclusions yet." He told him curtly. Trevor nodded, but his head felt like it was underwater. His ears drowned out the noise of the lousy party and he got up from his chair, set his drink down, and walked to the bathroom without saying anything.

His friends watched in worry and they all shared a sigh.

Trevor turned the corner to the hallway of the bathrooms and he looked around at the line of girls. He looked for her H/C and he stopped once he saw a figure sitting against the wall. He slowly walked towards her, muttering "excuse me's" and "sorry's" as he went. He looked at her, hoping to see her eyes. Her head was in her hands and he sighed softly, sitting down beside her.

She felt a body sit next to her and she looked up, thinking it was some random person, but it was him. Her face fell and she bit her inner lip so hard it started to bleed. Trevor eyed her worriedly and went to touch her hand. She flinched away like he was fire and she was just burned. He bit his cheek, feeling hurt and confused.

"What happened to you?" He asked her, his voice soft. She just about started crying again and she cursed internally when she felt a tear fall down the side of her cheek. She wiped it angrily, hoping he didn't catch a glimpse of it, and sniffled.

His head snapped to her so quick once he heard the sniffle you would think he got whiplash, and if it were any other situation, she would've laughed.

"Are you crying? Baby, what happened?" He sounded so concerned and genuinely worried, and he held her hands, rubbing his thumb against her palm.

She looked down at the ground and sighed. "I thought he was you, Trev. I'm so, so, sorry. I'm so stupid. I wasn't looking, and— and I didn't look behind me before I started practically feeling him up. I'm sorry." Her voice cracked and she kept her eyes on the floor in shame. Trevor sighed and took his hands away. She knew what was coming.

He was going to break up with her. She braced herself for the harsh words and she took a glance at him out of the corner of her eye. He was rubbing his jaw stressfully and his bright eyes were unusually dim. Fuck.

"Trevor... can you say something, please?" she gulped to relieve her dry throat and he looked at her. Seeing her glassy eyes and her frown, he sighed. Too bad he was too much of a wimp around her.

"You didn't mean to, right? Like, if you knew it was some other guy, you never would have done that?"

She nodded quickly and winced when a wave of nausea ran through her at the motion. He cracked a small smile and she nodded.

"Yes, of course. You're my boyfriend. No other guy will even be getting in a five-mile radius of me."

Trevor raised an amused eyebrow and he placed an arm on his knees raised to his chest.

"That's going to be a little difficult, don't you think? We're going back to the group after this, you know that right? They're all guys."

She opened her mouth to retaliate and she stopped. She scratched her head and sighed.

"Okay, so maybe I can't do that. But! No guy is allowed to touch me like that. And I'm staying near you at all times. That was fucking embarrassing. And shitty. I'm sorry. I really am. I would've never—"

She was cut off by a hand over her mouth and she looked up at Trevor with wide eyes. He smiled softly and took his hand away, his lips replacing it. She kissed him back gently, her lips tingling, and his hand cupped her cheek.

Reluctantly, he pulled away and looked at her, his eyes soft and loving.

"I know you didn't mean to. I trust you." He told her genuinely, making her smile and hug him. His hands fell to her back comfortably and she snuggled into his neck, breathing in his cologne.

Next time, she would be sure to stay near Trevor when she was drinking.

And thank god for Trevor Zegras.

zane: rlly quiet, he sneaks up on ppl all the time (he says its on accident but the ninja rnt rlly convinced of that), literally looks like the epitome of some guy, so confused when they text, he sent a list of tone indicators 4 them 2 use bcuz hes austistic and confused, night light, is air conditioner in the summer, often gets confilcted about being a nindroid and if he ever truly feels things, tells the same joke 100 times and still thinks its funny, he doesnt need 2 sleep so he kinda just cleans at night and keeps watch 4 the ninja in case sormthing bad happens, nya often has 2 like oil up his joints bcuz if they rnt treated after a while they get rlly squeaky

Ninjago Age Headcanons

I can't find the post I made on them a few months ago, so alas here I am. Making it. Again.

We are excluding Pilot because I believe that they are the same age as season 1.

SEASON 1:

In order for this to make sense, the Ninja must have begun in their early/mid-teens, then later became older, except for Lloyd, who started as a child.

I've seen many headcanons of Jay and Kai being the same age, I'd have to agree, it does make a lot of sense.

Zane I'd say, from what he's aware - he'd be one year older, while Cole - who was the leader when Lloyd wasn't around - is the eldest, standing 2 years ahead of Kai and Jay.

Nya would be one year younger than Kai, but with how enamored Jay was with her, I'd say the maturity difference wasn't as huge - unless Jay is a creep at heart. I will admit - some things Jay has done or acted like, were kinda creepy, but not the kind of 'I go after people who are obviously far younger than me.' And I think we can all agree that Kai would kill Jay if that were the case.

So I'd say the answer is pretty simple.

Cole: 16

SEASON 2:

Obviously, this is still within the same timeline, maybe a few days after season 1 finished - so I'd say they remain the same. I'd like to think that Nya and Lloyd first gave off older sister, younger brother vibes, but now gives off twin terror vibes, so Lloyd would physically be the same age as Nya.

And with PIXAL starting to make quite the appearence after rebooted, I must say, she should be included too, I'd say her body is very young, but mentally shes about the same age as cole. She doesnt have a body at the moment, so until she does, theres no body age.

Ok so the ninja are all gathered up, and they learned that a trap was set from an audio recording Zane took. Ofc that trap is the thing Mr. E placed in Zanes body. But they think they can track the quiet one with the recording.

ok now done with the personal headcanons, onto more specific stuff :)

• in my 'morro is revived/redeemed/he just stays like we all wanted him to' au he does not move in directly with the ninja, instead living higher up in the mountains, in a small town southeast of Ninjago city. they feel at peace there, up in their element, away from most modern technology.

- both he and the ninja liked this decision more, while wu did not, but I'll get into their individual dynamics more later

-he doesnt really talk to anyone from the village, but anytime he goes to buy supplies and stuff he tries his best to give money and food to the homeless he passes. especially children.

-the children of the village therefore deem him a myth, some tell ghost stories of him, and others call him a good luck charm. morro thinks this is adorable, really, and plays into it; giving vague fortunes everytime a kid points him out.

• the ninja and wu definitely come to visit him sometimes too, and no matter how many times they do so morro's always suprised they care. the first time lloyd came to visit them on his own they were so astonished for like the next month

• i think morro and jay would get along mostly by jay being the one who informs him of modern technology. y'know, teaching him about it. morro flipped his lid the second he learned what a microwave was.

- i also think jay brings out his inner sassy side. they have a lot of nicknames for each other.

- oh also also you know how nya can move ice if she tries hard enough? jay can just barely move wind, same goes for morro with lightning. they definitely use each others powers responsibly

- (jay almost caused a minature tornado once and morro made a week long power outage. they don't speak of those things)

- tldr; morro feels rather relaxed around jay. even if he takes a lot of their energy, its not too hard for them to get along. they would probably cause doomsday if left alone together for too long tho

• morro and zane!! or as I like to call it; therapist friend to therapist friend

- while untrusting of morro for a while, Zane was able to connect with them by seeing their walls come down

- i think morro would go to zane to vent if need be, hes a great listener. same goes vice-versa.

- both wind and ice are very reactive to their weilders emotions, so like it or not, these two have to bottle up their feelings sometimes for the safety of others

- thats why they work so well together, actually. fire, earth, lighting, and water arent as emotionally reliant. and we're getting 2 energy

- whenever zane is over and makes food morro will steal some or get thrown out the kitchen trying

- tldr; their friendship is very (heh) chill

• kai and morro!! aka 'i don't like you very much but we have the common interest of protecting lloyd to make up for past mistakes so ig ill tolerate you'

- unstable relationship!! they bicker the most, lloyd mostly being the peacekeeper

- they have their moments tho

- i think kai would've found morro in a vulnerable state once, like crying or having a panic attack or something, and he just sat next to him and held his hand

- they both refuse to acknowledge that happend, but they were nicer to each other after it

- they don't get along very well mostly to kai holding a grudge, but morro doesn't blame him. they haven't completely forgiven themselves, either

- can they get along and work together? yes, surprisingly so. do they WANT to? nah

• and last but most certainly not least: disaster cousins! i cant fit these two's entire journey together in this one post, but I'll highlight the most important bits

- loyd was terrified that morro survived the drowning of the Preeminent, so he was immensely relieved that morro wasnt staying with them

- the first time they saw each other after styxx shit was so akward. they were left alone in a room together for 5 seconds and they hated it

- lloyd never wanted a verbal apology from morro, saying that the only way they could probably get forgiveness is through action

- only got close to morro after he proved himself through his actions. i mean, after helping them and Ninjago many times, lloyd couldn't say he hated them anymore

- the first time lloyd visited on his own with the intention to just, like, hang out; morro broke. mf bluescreened. thought he was hallucinating for a solid 20 minutes.

- they play video games together and read comics and the like.

- they rarely do anything like sparring tbh. whenever they're together they let their inner children come out

- lloyd: *bringing out a coloring book and crayons* "hey I know we're like in our early 20's but-"

- morro: *snatching them* "y e s"

- Morro's EXTREMELY overprotective to compensate for what hes done. lloyd doesn't stop them, he knows it makes them feel less guilt, but it does get a liiitle overbearing sometimes

- wu bawled once he learned they were getting along, the hardest he cried in a while

A/N: So sorry for leaving yall hanging! Life is just crazy right now and this blog needs a lot of TLC tbh!! Also ehh I def dont think this was my best work but enjoy?

“Oof” Y/N lets out as she plops on to her boyfriend who was lying comfortable on the couch. Tom groaned at the impact with a cheeky smile on his face, his arms instantly wrapping around Y/N’s frame.

“Y’know..there are empty seats right there.” The soft brown-eyed boy gestured with the flick of his thick head as Y/N raises her eyes looking down at him, pretending to be slightly offended.

“Oh I see how it is then. It’s cool...Ill just cuddle with Tessa instead. I know she would welcome me with open arms instead of—” As she slowly starts getting off his chest, Tom is quick to pull her back in, securing her with his strong arms. “No baby, I was just kidding. I want you right here, and Im never letting you go.” he pleas.

The only thing Y/N could manage was letting out a fit of giggles into his chest, a sound that Tom adored and would do absolutely anything to hear every minute of every day. They stay like this for a while enjoying the feeling of each other as they both run their hands into each others hair, the feeling of their chests moving up and down, the subtle thumps of their heartbeats, and the little slips of adoration that came out of their mouths. It was peaceful. A moment that nobody could really take a way because it was theirs.

Y/N casually pulls up her phone, and scrolls through Twitter when she noticed a particular tweet on her timeline. Her eyebrows furrow, as she read the 160 character message.

Why Tom Holland Should Be With Aaliyah Cole and Dump Y/N: A Thread.

She knew it wasnt a good idea to open up the thread. She knew very well that everything within the shallow string of tweets would be a complete waste of her time because it was made up by fans who just wanted to satisfy their fantasy of shipping Tom with his co-star. Who can blame them? They always had great chemistry, but it was part of the job and thats all it would ever be.

“You’re awfully quiet.” Tom murmurs, as he places soft kisses at the crown of her head. “Whats going on?” She was lucky her phone was facing away from Tom, quickly closing the app and pretending to be on one of her many tabs in Safari.

“Mmm..nothing.” Y/N lies softly, a tight-lipped smiled plastered on her face.

“Absolute bullocks. Youre not a very good liar.” He chuckles. “Tell me darling. Whats on your mind?”

Y/N rolls her eyes in response. She’s heard that comment one too many times in her life from everyone shes known. After not giving it much thought, she gives in, sighing heavily. “Dont judge me for what Im about to say.”

“Mmm...I think it might depend on wha— Ow” Tom reacts as he playfully rubs the side of his chest that Y/N hit. “Okay too soon for jokes. Go on.”

Again, Y/N sighs as she props herself up. “Its just ... well a lot of your fans keeps talking about wanting you to get with Aaliyah.” She looks down trying not to make eye contact with Tom, who she’d imagine was looking at her with annoyance.

Tom rolls his eyes at the ridiculousness. Not so much at Y/N but the fact that some of his fans just didnt want to accept the fact that he was happy with Y/N. If it had to come from his mouth to stop the stupid rumors and give his girlfriend peace, then hed gladly yell it from the rooftops for everyone to hear. “Thats it Im making a statement about it.”

Y/N’s eyes widen in fear, scrambling to prevent him from grabbing his phone on the table next him. “No no no no.” She repeatedly declines. “You’ll only make it worse.”

“Darling, Im not going to stand here and watch you get all insecure because of their delusional ship.”

“Yeah well Im not gonna be the reason your fans hate me because Im getting in the way of your friendship with Aaliyah Cole.” She fires back.

Tom was ready to open his mouth only to be cut off once again. “And you know better. That is how your fans will always see it.”

“Okay, are you done?” He calmly asked, cautiously observing her. Rarely did Y/N ever get worked up about anything, but when she had her tangents, Tom always made sure she got off everything she needed to say before he becomes her voice of reason.

“Yeah, I guess.” she says feeling defeated. “Look its whatever and Im tired, can we just let this go and forget this whole conversation even happened?”

Tom was unconvinced, but didnt want to push her further. So reluctantly, he gave in and wrapped his arms around Y/N as they both tried to lull themselves to sleep.

Y/N wasnt sure how she ended up in the Tube. It was strange how the lights flickered off the rusted tile floor. The train was no where to be seen, but off to the side of the railroads was pitch black, she could hardly see beyond. To her right she noticed herself standing in the corner of the room, and to her surprise Aaliyah was there. Her milk chocolate kissed skin, and fashionably long frizzy hair dropped down past her shoulders. Her figure long and poised, as she wore a rain jacket and sweats. An outfit only she could pull off and make it look like she was a model for Vogue. Aasliyah smiles brightly at Y/N.

“Hey Y/N.” She says cheerfully as a genuine friend would.

To Y/N’s surprise she greeted her back in the same tone. “Hey Aaliyah...uhh whats going on?” Y/N wasnt sure if she wanted the answer of how they both ended up in the Tube or if she truly wanted to know how her day went.

“Well Im getting ready to present at the Oscars.” She replies, a smile plastered as if she was so excited about it, almost too excited like she was keeping a secret.

“Really? Oh my god, that’s amazing! Im so proud of you Aaliyah! Who are you taking?”

Aaliyah pauses for a few moment looking back and forth, making sure no one else was around. “Okay can you keep a secret?” She whispered.

Y/N nods her head slowly, not having the slightest clue of what was going on. “Im taking Tom. I think he really likes me, and well...I like him too! Do you think maybe I should ask him when we go?” Aaliyah asked genuinely. It was almost like she had no recollection of Y/N and Tom being a couple. “I think we would look good together. Everyone is already making rumors and ships about us.”

Y/N backs aways lowly only to bump into a broad figure. As she turns around she sees Tom, emotionless and almost sad. “Y/N.” He speaks out. “I dont think this is going to work out. Im leaving you.”

Y/N’s heart quickens, and her breaths become shorter as she tries to find a way to run. Running and running into the darkness, until all she could hear was Tom’s faint voice calling out her name.

“Y/N! Y/N! Baby wake up please.” Tom cries as he gently shakes his girlfriend from her disturbed sleep.

Quickly Y/N opens her eyes and clutches on to Toms hoodie firmly. Back home, and in Toms arms. It was a dream was all she thought. A sigh of relief escaping from her mouth.

“Darling...” he speaks softly, worried about his girlfriend. “Are you okay?”

Y/N looks up at him and nods frantically. “Mmm..bad dream.”

“Yeah it seemed like it. You were so frightened...I was scared. What happened?” He’s looking at her, trying to read her saddened eyes, wanting to desperately understand what scared her so he could make it all go away for her.

Y/N looks down at her fiddling hands, as she sits on the couch. “I uhh...” she lets out a chuckle, thinking of the ridiculousness of it all. “I uhh...dreamed about Aaliyah going to the oscars and saying how she loved you and how you two are perfect for each other. When I turned around I saw you but you werent happy and said you were leaving me.”

Tom doesnt say a word, all he could think about was how sorry he felt to put Y/N in this position. Though both of them knew, It wasnt Toms fault, or anyone’s for that matter. Feelings are feelings and that was okay. No human being was ever born perfect and without insecurities.

Y/N always tried to be a good sport with situations like this knowing every shippers theory and evidence were hardly ever true, but at some point there was only so much she could take before it all came out like an oil spill. Maybe it was a sign that she wasnt good enough to be with Tom if half of his fanbase thought this way as well.

Tom cradled her into his arms again, holding her tightly and kissing the top of her head. “Darling, I know youre still doubting yourself about all of this, but please believe me when I tell you that I love you so so much and no matter what happens...Im always yours.” He whispers gently in her ear. “It was only a dream and these ridiculous rumors and theories are just that. No one woman in the world could ever make me feel the way I feel for you.”

Y/N blinks softly, as she stares into space. Afraid and in a weird way ashamed, its funny how something so small and so minimal could affect her self-esteem so greatly. Tom gently brings her head up, so her eyes can meet his. He rolls his thumb on the bottom of her soft lips. “Hey, I love you.” Tom smiles.

Time stopped for the both of them the moment Y/N looked into his eyes, she felt safe. All the bad words and thoughts slowly disappear. Tom was right, none of the things that anyone said about their relationship mattered. She knew Tom loved her, and how much she truly loved him. Isnt that enough? Of course not. It was more than enough. A smile slowly forming on Y/N’s face. “Theres that smile I love so much.” He comments.

“Im sorry, for being such a —”

“No. Its okay. You have a right to feel the way you did.” He picks up her hand and leaves a gentle kiss.

“I love you so much Tom.” She says pressing her lips to his. “I dont deserve you.”

Why I hate canon Kailor sm

Im not gonna tag Kailor on this for obvious reasons plus this is kinda a long post, I don’t mind fanon Kailor mostly because tbh I don’t think it’s really a big thing and most I have seen of it is fine. Don’t read this if you like Kailor and don’t want to hear it bashed

Okay listen, s4 is my favorite season out of all ninjago, but if theres one thing I hate about it the most is Kailor. This ship has always been really annoying to me throughout the show, and I’ve hinted towards that in my blog. But why?

1. It’s basically jaya redone

Kailor brings nothing new or interesting to the table because honestly? It’s literally just the same dynamic as jaya. Socially awkward guy simps for usually unimpressed girl until she eventually caves in and they start dating.

Not only has this already been done before with jaya, but is also completely out of character for Kai to do.

While I admit seeing Kai as a flustered dork is kinda funny, once you realize the context of the situation that they’re in it’s pretty clear that Kai would never actually do this.

Reminder: Kai JUST found out his dead friend is alive and is forced to recognsizle with friends in order to get him back

Usually when Kai is presented in a situation like this, what he normally does is set himself dead first on the task at hand and usually ignores any distractions. He’s mostly distance and seemingly uncaring

((note this is after Zane died and Kai ran away from the ninja because of cole and jays bickering, knowing him he wouldn’t be the most excited to be back. His arc should have revolved around coming to terms with lost friendships due to death or distance but that never happens)).

What Kai DOESNT do is immediately fall head over heels for a girl he JUST meet to the point where even when he sees his DEAD FRIEND ALIVE AND WELL he completely ignores that for a girl he meet less then a week ago

This is something JAY would do, not KAI, Kai is a loyal friend who do anything to save his friends, he cherishes them and would fight god to help them with anything they need, he doesn’t forget them for someone new

It also does skylor unjustice as well, but we’ll get there when we get there

2. It adds nothing to the characters and is otherwise never mention again

You know how bad you fuck up a relationship if the best aspect of it is how it’s rarely on screen

Even considering the fact Kailor is just jayas dynamic, the connection between skylor and Kai feels completely non existent or one sided

Most of Kailor revolves around Kai simping for skylor

They have no common interests, common goals, they rarely actually talk outside of lloyds plan to overthrow chen

The whole relationship feels forced every time it’s brought up because of how disconnected they both are to eachother, Kai only likes skylor because she’s hot and that’s it, nothing else about her is actually interesting to Kai in anyway ((again sort out of character for him in this situation))

Skylor and Kai don’t form any genuine bond with eachother, it feels hallow and empty

Let’s compare this to lava, wait no that would be to easy, let’s compare this to pixane

Pixal and Zane both genuinely like and respect eachother, they both share bonds outside of being robots, they both care about eachother enough to know when they’re uncomfortable or need help

Kailor is barely mentioned past s4 and most of it in s4 is Kai being a creep

Oh yeah let’s get to that

3. It’s really really creepy

Im sorry I don’t find incest jokes funny ninjago, it’s just really uncomfortable and creepy

Hopefully this goes without saying but Kai thinking skylor is hot, figuring out they might be related and no longer finding her hot, and then finding out they aren’t and thinking she’s hot is really weird and creepy

Not to mention scenes like, Kai looking into her room without her knowledge or consent

Or Kai fighting people for her when it’s not necessary

Or him trying to impress her everytime he sees her

This isn’t cute or funny, it’s gross, privacy invading, and overall just very creepy and uncomfortable and most definitely not healthy

Again, this is REALLY out of character for Kai, Kai knows when to back off and respect people’s privacy

Literally the season before this he didn’t get involved in the love triangle probably because he knew that would make Nya’s situation worse

So for him to suddenly become this privacy evading perv is so grossly out of character for him and makes the whole relationship feel off and unhealthy

And finally

4. The whole thing is misogynistic

During this entire thing skylor doesn’t get a choice in the show once, she follows the commands of her dad before Kai tells her not to like her dad and follows his lead.

She doesn’t come to disliking her dad by her own thought, she was told to by Kai

She doesn’t get to do anything that SHE actually wants to do until LITERALLY the VERY END

She’s told by guys around her what she should do constantly, even without her being a love interest that’s just screams misogynistic to me ((Afab speaking anyways))

Everything about her character, down to the way she talks, who she’s allied with, and even sometimes how she looks is determined by male characters

Conclusion

If canon ships were shrek movies then kailor is easily shrek the third, a constant tired unfunny mess that caused everyone to think that these ships were shit ((to be fair Jaya is kinda bad to but at least it tired to get better))

There’s nothing redeeming about it to me, every time it’s viewed in a romantic setting it makes me groan or upset

What’s even more frustrating is how people constantly say lava can’t be canon because of it

Im going to go on a side tangent so you can just skip this part as it doesn’t add any actual substance to my argument

But it’s so frustrating to see people say that

Cole and Kai have had a much healthier relationship and would be a lot better for there characters

But no, this stupid misogynistic creepy ship where one side isn’t even consententing to it half the time is the one that has to stay canon because “it’s what the creators intended”

Lava isn’t the superior possibly canon relationship because it’s gay, it’s superior because it’s closer to a healthy working relationship in show then kailor has been ((fanon lava and kailor doesn’t count here because they’re isn’t any better fanon ship, Im just talking about in show))

But no it can’t be canon and it’s unfair for people to want it to be canon because tommy created this rlly shitty straight relationship for Kai instead

okay current trc dragon age au concepts

so in my mind this is like a dao au. like the basic plot of origins is happening but raven cycle characters. so like ok:

- gansey: human sword and shield warrior. also, the warden. like specifically as in: you, the player character, the hero of ferelden. it’s because he’s the leader who brings the whole group together, but also the themes of this being your second chance at life only to realize this path was also just supposed to lead you to your death. anyway i imagine him having a human noble background with a storyline that mirrors the story of how he first died in trc: he strays off the grounds of his family castle during a party, only in this instead of being stung by bees, he gets attacked by the darkspawn that are emerging because of the coming blight and gets the taint. luckily duncan (or whoever is replacing duncan in this idk agkljhaga) is there and reveals that he can survive if he becomes a grey warden

- henry: human rogue archer (i THINK...). ok so in my mind henry ends up getting the alistair role in this of being the other recently joined gray warden who survives ostagar. not 100% set on why he joins the wardens, though i’m imagining his family is nobility but with some questionable ties to illegal magical artifacts trades (maybe between tevinter and various circles?). so the kidnapping situation still plays out perhaps with him just being older and i can see duncan (i’ll be real i really am just imaging duncan among all the trc characters LMAO) or maybe other wardens in general ending up helping him and henry deciding he’s Done With This Shit and wanting to join up with a group doing something good. anyhow him and gansey survive ostagar the last living grey wardens, when they meet

- ronan: human mage. in this au ronan is very much the morrigan equivalent which is sooo funny to me. he’s an apostate raised by his apostate father (who got wealthy by being a fence for the aforementioned illegal magical artifact trade) and after niall dies things go south in the lynch family so fast (declan is trying to work to protect his family from being caught by templars but also like being an asshole about it. ronan doesnt get it at all, maybe thinks declan is planning on turning him in TO the circle) either way ronan just leaves to strike out on his own, ends up saving two grey wardens in the korcari wilds, and proceeds to help them recover while negging them. ends up teaming up with them because gansey just has that effect on people, and also saving the world sounds like a good goal

- blue: elven dual wielding warrior. i really like the idea of her family being dalish elves! maura is a mage and their clan’s keeper, and blue hates that because she’s not a mage, she’s not able to be part of that that world and that part of their culture in the same way her mother is. i really like the idea of her finding an eluvian a la merrill and also being dedicated to restoring it, but in this case it’s motivated by her wanting to prove herself to her family (also, mirror magic!). when the boys meet with the dalish about the treaties, blue ends up joining their party intially because she wants to come with them to the circle of magi to do more research and hopefully find some answers

- noah: human dual wielding rogue. he’s just cole....... that is all we need to know. i’m not sure how noah enters the story (i think he probably ends up showing up in a random encounter, maybe helps them with some bad guys and is super... Off but very sweet and asks to tag along) but eventually as we unravel his backstory, we learn that the original noah and whelk were circle apprentices seven years ago who were fooling around with blood magic. whelk got illusions of power and tried to summon a demon and sacrificed noah in the process, but instead summoned a spirit who ended up taking noah’s form just like cole, not quite sure what happened to him or who he was yet. (meanwhile whelk stays in the circle and ends up being the uldred equivalent during the circle quest)

- adam: elven mage. adam grew up in an alienage until he was around 11 or 12 and began to first show signs of magic and was taken to the circle. i think he has complicated feelings about the circle, because on one hand, he knows what the problems with it are, but he also can’t help but feel like being taken to the circle saved him and agrees with the need for it to exist. him and ronan fight endlessly about this. either way, he is interested in at least a temporary ticket out and after helping them at the circle, he gets permission to join their party to help out. i also really like the idea of them eventually going back to blue’s clan for a bit, and him being taught old elven magic from persephone :) 

and that’s it that’s the party! in my brain this IS a video game and you get to romance everyone as gansey. if you don’t romance adam he can get together with either ronan or blue depending on if you’re romancing one of them and if you’re not romancing either you get a dialogue that pushes him in one direction or another. if adam/blue happens they break up but if adam/ronan happens they’re still together in the endgame :^)

rating ninjago seasons with explanations because i was bored (spoilers obvs)

way of the ninja: 6/10 - i remember watching this ages and ages ago, to me they were just filler episodes to me as i’d watched all the way to rebooted at that point, not super interesting but it started everything so extra points for that

rise of the snakes: 5/10 - YES its old i know but the… the GD attack should have caused more chaos… destroyed more stuff… it only moved a couple cars in this season (which entirely changes in SoG with harumi’s flashbacks) which i thought was … weird, even when i was younger lol… but theres development of characters n all i think a lot of it is rad !

legacy of the green ninja: 6/10 - pretty good, i haven’t watched this in a while so i dont remember much but the end battle is Legendary so there’s extra points for that and also extra points for dareth being introduced hee hee

rebooted: 6/10 - the whole overlord and nindroids thing is … pretty cool ?? pixal and cyrus exist now so !!!! that adds points !!! when i was younger i remember watching zanes sacrifice a lot cuz i couldnt get over it, and now i can recite all the words off by heart … lol anyway i think this seasons ok 👍

tournament of elements: 8/10 - very good, i loved seeing the other elemental masters !!!! and chen is actually a very cool villain, especially when i was younger, i loved him then lol … the ending is kinda 😟 bc garmy technically dies but yea its a gud season C:

possession: 10/10 - this season is EVERYTHING???? the intro SLAPS, the whole aesthetic is incredible and not to mention theres a whole bunch of favourite characters content in this season so that adds extra points !!!! the story all flows smoothly and its just Mmmm so gud. i love it dearly, defo a comfort season i’ve watched it so many times

skybound: 7/10 - i can see why some people hate this season as the whole nadakhan marrying nya thing is VERY weird (even my cousin who was 6 at the time when we first watched it could tell that) … but theres extra points for 1. the whole misfortunes keep crew, i love them, and 2. the ninja replacements team, i also care them all so dearly … the lighting in this season is super good, and also the storyline threads together well, i just find it very Appealing how it goes back to how it started

hands of time: 4/10 - idk man its just … boring, i can’t really be interested enough to watch to the end of the season? extra points for acronix being pretty and the scruff moments tho lol…. also whats with more snake people …. cant be ninjago without snakes ig LMAO

day of the departed: 5/10 - i also just see this as a filler… i mean yes it tells how cole turned back from a ghost but otherwise it’s just kinda random but i still liked it

sons of garmadon: 7/10 - pretty good ! harumi is a very cool character tho i do think shes kinda selfish … like a lot of others probably lost family in the GD attack??? kind of confused … but the SoG group as a whole is VERY epic i love the designs for UV and mr E (killows design just throws me off tho… why Real Hands..)

hunted: 10/10 - SO damn good the storyline is EVERYTHING and i love how it switches POVs every so often to keep things on edge. its also pretty dark for a kids show and that makes it better, and the cinematics for this are all just AMAZING…. i care the dragon designs so much, mmmmmmmmmm beloveds :^)

march of the oni: 6/10 - wasted!!!!! potential!!!!! the oni were such a good show of fantastic character design and they were just….. taken out in like 5 seconds despite them literally being the embodiment of destruction? there was literally two seasons before this of the ninja dealing with one (1) embodiment of destruction and then when theres LOADS that make tentacle death clouds and are super OP they just … are defeated????? ok…… also what was the point in coles fall fr it just made me sad for no reason🙁

secrets of forbidden spinjitzu: 6/10 - the fire chapter was … cool ? i guess, wasn’t the most interesting, aspheera is hot tho lol😝(LITERALLY !!!!! Funny joke pls laugh.)also clutch being introduced adds points, love the stupid explorer man. the ice chapter is super dark, i loved seeing the never-realm and how everything worked there, and ?? evil zane ?!??!? sheeeeeesh that was a bold move that was super epic … i liked this part of the season :^0

prime empire: 10/10 - another comfort season YEAHHHHH !!!! the aesthetic !! so good !!! the characters r RAD like scott and okino and seven I LOVE THEM SO DEARLY ….. the soundtrack is RAD as well i listen to it plentifully …… the ending is happysad and i always go a bit cry when unagami and milton walk away together :’^)

master of the mountain: 8/10 - the whole slavery thing is … questionable but the skull sorcerer’s design is super awesome ! and the upply … i care them … :^)))) AND A COLE SEASON !!!! i loved the development for him !!! and the way that vania and cole stayed a friendship the whole time cuz it never implied they were gonna date or whatever which made me happy honestly … i rated it 8/10 as the extra points are from the upply

the island: shit/10 - what the fuck was that. the islanders were cool i liked their designs but seriously i hated the ending so bad like there was no reason for ronin to be the antagonist again … just let clutch steal the amulet and there you have it all set up for the next season whoooo

seabound: 9/10 - again i love the aesthetic, the glowy-ness of everything is so pretty in this, and the design for wojira is amazing … tho this season is super sad, im sure theres reasoning for the ending of it :)))))) the storyline is also very good in this ! it does actually make sense which sometimes doesnt happen ……...

Consiquences of Therinfal Redoubt

One thing that kind of irked me about Inquisition was the lack of real emotion and consiquence for some actions. The only time you really see any true, lasting emotion is in the tresspasser DLC when the inquisitor is at the edge of a mental breakdown.

The developers did intend to add consequences to certain choices such as choosing between the mages and templars. So here is my take on either one.

If you choose to side with the templars, you are shoved into your own head to relieve past memories and possible futures. We only see a glimpse of what our inquisitor would truly see. I expect they go through much violent and worse memories, maybe of the circle, maybe of past abuse. They are trapped in an endless loop and Cole is the only one who could save them. If you make the right dialogue choices as well, you can see a slow progression of defiance to shock to terror as the envy demon slowly twists your mind. I assume its worse if youre a mage, since the demon forces you to murder innocent people with demons at your side while they scream and beg for their lives . It turns you into the thing you have tried so hard to overcome. Cole has to keep saying "its ok. Youre ok. You can do this." Which points to the fact that your inquisitor was near their breaking point through this.

But as soon as youre out of its control, you barely think twice on it. You dont even really snap at cassandra when she bitches about what happened (in either scenario really). It isn't until you see deleted dialogue from solas that it actually is an issue for your inquisitor. He has to try and stop you from having a full blown panic attack. He tells you its ok, youre safe, youre not there anymore. that point I think that no matter what your approval with Solas is at that point, You needed him to help you through the trauma. And once youre out you have to look at your advisors, the ones who envy once wore, and think to yourself "they arent envy. They wont kill you. They dont think youre a monster." You have to look at Cullen, who stabbed you in the back and laughed and think "he wouldnt do that." That doesnt seem like something you can just brush off in the span of a few weeks back to Haven. And it shouldnt.

If you choose to side with the mages, you are thrown into a future that has lost all hope. Dorian is your only friend, your only grasp at getting back to the past. Together you find some of your companions who are already beyond saving, watch Conner die, see countless bodies scattered across the castle, and watch Lilliana and your friends sacrifice themselves to save you. All of this becuase You werent strong enough to stop it. Dorian has to literally hold you back from going to Lilliana to try and save her. You can see the pain on the inquisitors face as Dorian pulls you through the portal. After that, you don't speak of it again.

I take this as more of a "its too hard to talk about" than a "yeah I have no trauma from that". When you get to skyhold afterwards, its Dorian who asks if youre ok. And when mother Giselle asks you what Dorians intentions are, its evident that you spend more time with each other outside of what the game permits. I think that they use each other as a way to help cope.its true that the inquisitor most likely experienced more truama, given that dorian didnt know those who sacrificed themselves that well, but they both still held that weight on their shoulders. Theyre the only ones who knew what could have happened if the Inquisitor failed. So yes mother Giselle, Dorian does have motives with the Inquisitor, to keep them from breaking. To say, Im here with you. Dont worry.

I wish we could see the impact these choices have on the Inquisitor more, like leaving a person in the fade, or having your clan burnt to the ground.but for now. We have to read between the lines.
