In 1960 Clifton James turned 40 years old.

Clifton James appeared in two episodes of The Naked City in the fall of 1960 as different characters.

From Nov 1960 to Sept 1961 James had a role in the Broadway play, All the Way Home. In June of 1961, he appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show with his cast-mates to perform a scene (or portion of a scene) of the play. (no photos of this)

Clifton James plays a detective in the 1961 drama Something Wild, about the psyche of a rape victim, starring Carroll Baker.

Clifton James appeared in the drama David and Lisa in 1962. It's about psychologically troubled teens in a group home. He plays a caseworker employed at the house.

Clifton James appeared in an episode of Route 66 in 1963.

Clifton James appeared in 1964s Black Like Me about a white man posing as a black man as a psychological experiment. The film starred James Whitmore.

Cissie Sommerly

Cissie was the neice of Billys boss at whiz radio, Mr Morris. Billy had a crush on her from the moment he was introduced to her and they seemed to have started dating pretty soon after that but I can't find much information about her.  

Beautia Sivana

keep in mind that In the golden age Captain marvel and billy were two different people. 

Less of a love interest and more of one sided attraction on Beautia’s part. the daughter of Dr Sivanna was infatuated with Captain Marvel. This never really goes anywhere but it is implied that Cap may also have developed feelings for her but that plot line is then dropped and left unresolved. 

Its also worth mentioning that Golden age Captain Marvel is repeatedly shown to be very nervous around women

Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl

Probably Billy’s most well known love interest, They began their relationship in the Justice Society of America after Courtney discovered his identity, though it was short lived as billy broke up with her in JSA#59 after Jay Garrick asked him to stop seeing her because of their perceived age difference. Billy chose to break it off with Courtney rather than reveal his identity to the rest of the justice society. 

Danica Williams

Danica is the Flash of the future and is able to communicate with pervious flashes through the speed force. 

Danica alludes to having a Crush on Shazam multiple times throughout the series. And it appears that Billy feels the same way, after Danica confesses to him they begin a relationship. Although it only ever occurs in Justice league beyond 2.0 as far as I can tell.

This comic is set in the same universe as batman Beyond and Billys age is a bit unclear but they're both supposed to be in their late teens in this I think.

Due to Cupids interference Captain Marvel fell involve with Billys new boss at Whiz Radio. Unfortunately for him she’s married and that ends the story as well as Caps crush. 

But it seems as though she wasn’t a very good boss because Billy outwardly doesn’t like her and describes her as bossy and sharp-tongued. Cap refuses to believe that Billys mean boss is the same woman he that he loves so he just assumes that they’re sisters. 

Helen Fidelity

Not a love interest but I wanted to include her. 

In Shazam! The monster society of Evil, Billy and Captain Marvel are once again two separate entities and within the story They encounter a news reporter that billy has a puppy love crush on. She on the other hand is annoyed by his existence, and in a weird twist of fate she is attracted to captain marvel who is entirely indifferent to her. 

Hope McDuffy

In Strange Love Adventures Billy is invited to Hope’s mothers wedding and because he likes her he asks Clark Kent to help him get ready and attend the wedding with him posing as his uncle. The wedding gets crashed by Hopes mothers ex and Shazam and Superman save the day but the wedding is unfortunately ruined. Billy makes it up to her though and gives her a necklace.

This is it! The final penultimate grad post! Did you remember there was a graduation? And when we last left, Antonia and Noe were having an uncomfortable encounter with the Goth parents. Let’s see how that turned out . . . 

Callbacks: Brindleton Smith is sort of an Indiana Jones movie series in my sims world. Noe and Antonia watched it in the past and there’s been mention of it since Axl wants to be an archaeologist. The Bleating Hearts is the name that Cassie and Molly performed under for the first spring dance. Nala was Duane’s date for the Love Day dance. (I’m a wee bit obsessed. I think she looks a little like Jessica Williams with gorgeous mermaid hair and if you need a voice check for the character, that’s it! I hope Axl – and maybe Cassie – will get to visit Sulani!)

History: Patience is the younger sister of Marcus. She was sired by one of the oldest vampires in the world (possibly Philippe’s sire). Upon being turned her daemon dna triggered blood rage which made her uncontrollable which made her maker cast her aside. She resented anyone connected to her maker after that, which meant she wanted nothing to do with the de Clermont family.

Patience stayed clear of her brother when she found out he was a vampire too, through informants she had gained. But she couldn’t help but follow his moves, make sure they were never in the same place at the same time, that he wouldn’t know of her existence.

After Matthew and Juliette killed nearly all of Marcus’ children, save from Geraldine and Ransome, Patience approached her niece and nephew, caring for them, not that they wanted it at first, what they wanted was revenge. But she stayed with them, helping them build their lives (and following) in New Orleans.

She goes to great lengths to protect her family, going as far as to threaten anyone who will pose a threat to them, this includes having Dominico in a headlock and about to rip his head right off.

HELP - Looking for a Klaroline fic

Really wish someone would reply, I’ve searched high and low for this story and can’t seem to find it - hopefully because I’m looking with the wrong words...

This is what I remember about it:

Caroline was in college (Whitmore maybe?), Klaus in NOLA. Caroline had a different roommate - an art student with colourful hair, whom she had promised to pose nude for, for the roommate’s assignment. Caroline struggled posing nude and accidentally thought of her time with Klaus, which resulted in her roommate asking what she was thinking of, to which she replied ‘Klaus’. This was quoted under the painting and it was put up in a gallery as part of the roommate’s assignment. The roommate had promised the nude portrait was not going to be sold, but Klaus did end up buying it.

Caroline and roommate did also end up going to a NOLA club (I think??) where there were already rumours of disappearing vampires and some special drug. Caroline ends up drugged and tells her roommate to run before she gets taken away. Klaus finds out about it (don’t remember if he gets called by the roommate, Caroline’s friends or someone else) and travels to Caroline’s college with his family (again, could be wrong but i feel like Elijah was there and tried to unsuccessfully compel the roommate) where they also meet Caroline’s friends from Mystic Falls. I believe at that point or just before a videotape arrives for Klaus basically saying he needs to surrender in place of Caroline (or something like that) and he goes on to locate her i believe and finds out they’re humans doing experiments on vamps and they want him as he’s the original hybrid.

Last I read this story it was incomplete and on AO3 I believe. I don’t remember neither the title of it or the author... Only that it takes place after TVD 5X11 and obvs Klaus is in NOLA and Care in college. If someone knows it please let me know, even if it’s been deleted or you’re unsure it’s the right story it would still help. I’ll still be looking for it, but would appreciate anyone who may recognise it helping out. Hope the info was sufficient, I feel like it’s a very specific story arc.

So, I saw in one of the tags that you had an AU, What's the AU about? Also, I like your drawings, they're cool

Hi, thank you so much for your kind words anon! I really appreciate that 🥰

TLDR version: I realized that I rarely draw anything these days, so to motivate myself to study and draw again I basically created an AU for the main purpose of using illustrations from early-to-mid 20th century as references and studies while doubling as ship art (by slapping the faces of those two dorks on them to encourage myself to make more)

Long, in-depth explanation of the AU + shitpost art under the cut

The main premise of this AU is that in 1960, 'Perseus', who had just became the leader of Collective, found himself to be in over his head with this newfound responsibility and needed all the help he can get, so he invited his longtime friend most trusted confidante Bell (who isn't Bell in this AU) to became co-leader with him because he can (my headcanon is that every Perseus can make their own rules and the next one can amend or remove it to their pleasure).

Other basic infos about this AU:

They both are the same age (b. 1921)

Crossed paths with each other multiple times during WWII (different unit)

Only became friends after the war when they found themselves working together in the same building

Mainly focuses on period between 1950s up to 1980s

For more than a decade now, I've always been fascinated with artworks from the Golden Age of Illustration (1880's - 1920's) up until 1960's, thanks to Black Ops 1 ironically lmao. Back in 2010 when I was obsessed with the game I was always on the Internet searching and learning everything that is related to the game's time period (fashion, music, art, events etc.). During that time I was exposed to artists like Al Parker along with Coby Whitmore, and I immediately became obsessed with the art style.

So other than me making up a reason to trawl the Internet again for good old retro illustrations like the old days and to draw these two in intimate poses (not that kind of intimate, if you catch my drift), I also made the AU set at this specific time period as a convenience to myself so that I don't have to spend extra time researching fashion trends or hairstyles in 1950's etc., because the illustrations that I'll be using as studies were already from that era 😎

Extra notes

At first, I wanted this to be a simple and self-indulgent AU complete with the usual slapstick comedy but I caught myself making it more complex and poignant through imagining both of them struggling to heal and navigate their lives together post-war + before & after de-Stalinization, so uhhh that's kinda cool and sad I guess

I even bought an art book hoping that it'll provide me with cool references and inspiration to draw them both along with making art of my mutuals' OCs

His true nature at its fullest is unknown but they seem to be quite friendly with fellow non human entities for the most part, unless you pose a threat to him or someone bomb cares for.

‘If you had to be any supernatural creature,’ Farid asked, causing me to groan into my drink, ‘what’d you be?’ For some reason the idea of magic was one he had to bring up at every opportunity. We could be sat in a lecture and he’d lean across to pose a new theory to whoever was with him at that precise moment. To be honest, I think it extended way beyond our little group as well, but I have no idea.

Around the table, the others made various sounds of mock irritation and genuine thought. It didn’t matter how many times we heard this, they always had a new view on things.

‘Vamp for sure,’ Neil said with conviction. ‘Forever young; killer looks – ’

‘Aversion to garlic and sunlight?’ Sue asked, carefully putting her newly drained glass on the table.

Some of Neil’s bravado dissipated, and I patted him consolably on the shoulder.

‘Allie couldn’t be a werewolf,’ Harley said, a smirk on his lips as he leaned conspiratorially towards Farid. ‘We’d all be dead within a day with double time of the month.’

Farid scoffed, and even Neil managed a smirk as I swore at the youngest of our little group.

‘You’ll be a ghost if you’re not careful, Harley,’ I assured him with an innocent smile.

‘What about you though?’ Farid directed the question my way. Usually, I found a way of worming out of answering. Knowing Creatures, I was more than content being human. Too many restrictions kind of sucked the fun out of it all, and everything they were currently talking about being arguments for or against the cases were wrong in at least some way.

‘Doesn’t matter,’ Sue said, waving my reply away absently. Her attention was over my shoulder, tracking the progress of someone through the canteen. ‘Hot young man alert.’

I rolled my eyes as Neil groaned. Harley shifted, trying to get a good look for himself. Farid turned his attention back to the research book he’d been slogging through when we arrived. There was no point trying to continue. We’d lost the others completely.

‘Miss… March?’

Shit. I cringed ever so slightly at the familiar voice; at the fact Sue’s mouth dropped open and Harley shot me an openly hostile look. He was already accusing me of hiding this, and he didn’t even know what this was.

Slowly, I turned to face Marcus. There was a bright smile on his face, a hint of amusement behind his eyes. However he’d found out my alternative name, he was finding my confusion way too entertaining for my liking.

‘Dr Whitmore,’ said Neil, awe touching his voice, ‘you know Allie?’

‘Neil, how many times?’ Marcus jokingly chastised. He shook his head before looking back to me. ‘May I have a word, please?’

Every instinct Sooty had instilled in me screamed to deny him. Terrible things could happen to warmbloods when vampires were around. And yet…

‘Sure,’ I said, slipping off my seat. Confidently, I left all my things where they were.

Marcus nodded ever so slightly, obviously agreeing to my silent terms. He motioned me to go first.

I surveyed him for a moment before walking away from the others. The familiar weight of my knife in the sleeve of my jacket was a veritable comfort. If he tried anything it might do very little, but it was the only thing I had. The only vague surprise.

As soon as we were outside I gathered my jacket a little tighter. Something pulled at Marcus’s lips, but he didn’t comment.

‘Doctor?’ I asked, eager to break the uneasy silence.

He scoffed, sounding more like the twenty-year old he resembled than the however-old vampire he was. ‘I’ve had more than enough time to earn that.’

‘What do you want?’ I asked, deciding to cut straight to the point.

Suddenly, he looked serious. ‘I think we might need your help.’

With a sigh, I ran a hand over my face. Today was going to be a lot longer than I’d anticipated.
