Son Hak is amazing. I'm not even fully sure I can detail all the ways that he is, but it leads me to wonder a question. Where does he really come from? Hak is an orphan from the Wind Tribe, but we know nothing of his biological family. He might not have even been from that tribe originally. I just want to know what type of DNA leads to the sheer awesomeness that is him. When I first started the show, I had Avatar the Last Airbender on the brain and just assumed that the Wind Tribe = airbenders. It was how I had to rationalize him being this skilled because mere mortals can't compare. As I read more of the manga, I continue to be impressed. Comparing him to the dragons, the actual mythical beings, Hak doesn't need to get saved half as often. Not even one-quarter as often if we're being honest. So, how do dragons with magical powers need to be rescued, but not a "normal" 18/19-year old? Is he actually the Darkness Dragon?? I would 100% believe that. He's just on a different level from other people. I wish. WISH we knew more of his backstory. I want to know who his parents were, if he has any siblings (because those could be very interesting to see. Imagine the help or the horror if they're evil), and how he came to be in general. For now, I suppose I'll just have to speculate. I do want to do a fanfic of that some day. I'd love it if the manga beat me to it and gave me a canon answer though...just throwing that out there.

This accidentally turned into a mini story which I wrote in one go as you shall see. Enjoy

Glenn stood up front of the strange man or can he even be called a man. This being had an air of mystery, eyes glimmering red behind his scraggly white hair. Glenn heard rumours of a strange man who can grant wishes of those who seek him. He dismissed them as baseless rumours yet in his desperate hour he finds himself like a mad man searching for someone or something that may not even exist.

"What brings a fine fellow like you here?" Croaked the being. His fingers twisted around blending with this knarled wooden walking stick.

"I heard you can grant wishes. So I came here to see if the rumours were true." Glenn answered carefully.

The strange man cackled. "No one just simply seeks me out. Everybody who finds me always wants something." He hobbled over. His stick echoed loudly against the ground. "So, mister?"

"Glenn Rosewood."

"Mr Rosewood. What is it that you want from me?"

Glenn tidied his suit. He doubt that this man would grant his wish. Especially since what it would entail. The moral implications of his wish, many would see Glenn as the monster.

"I need someone gone."

"I'm going to need more details." The creature leaned in. His eyes never blinking once staring right through him.

Glenn gulped, "I need the head prosecutor gone. He has been causing for too much trouble for the ministry, allowing injustices to slide by."

That's not the whole truth. Glenn has been eyeing the job position for a long time but it was snuffed away from him. He needed that job. It was the only thing between saving his children from the kiss of death or a lessening sentence for their crimes. For his children, he would do anything to save them even if they had abandoned to follow Grindelwald.

"I see and if I get rid of this man for you, what will you do for me in return?" The man still looking amused.

"Whatever you want?"

"Whatever I want, my you must be a desperate one." His long grey fingers scratching his chin. He took his time pondering before his narrow with wicked intent. "Then one of your children must die."

Glenn felt his stomach drop. Hair raised on the back of his neck. Many questions swirling in his head as to how this being knows about his children. A legilimens perhaps? Glenn doesn't know what to think anymore and running away from this situation is also out of the question.

"Anything but that?" Glenn frantically begged.

"Then I want your eye."

"My eye?!"

He held out his hand with the grey palm facing up with fingers that are far too long to be considered natural for a human.

"So what shall it be, Glenn Rosewood?" He lips curled, displaying crooked and stained teeth. "One of your children's life or your eye?"

Glenn left the cave. He clutch his left eyes which was searing with pain but it eventually it would be all worth it.
