So what is Empathy & Vacation you may ask? This particular AU is the alternate reality of Matron in the Playhouse storyline (a technical “rescue” AU). This AU delves into the rescue of the Bigger Bodies Initiative toys after the Hour of Joy and game events. This AU is set to be more lighthearted.

Disclaimer: This AU has a focus on all possible toy experiment survivors, including defects/scrapped toys!

Known defects in the AU have alterations: They do not include humans for creation! They are mainly going to be QPR-shipped, not the OG BBI experiments!

Synopsis on the AU:

It's been 20 years, now nothing but peace after the escape of the wretched Playtime Co. factory. August and Stella Greybur, siblings in arms, never felt so much happier to burn the heartache and pain of what the Initiative had done, much to Poppy's joy of freedom. No one, not one survivor, dared to look back, leaving all they known to be nothing but ash. They were free, they were going to a new home. The Greybur siblings formed a adoption organization: Toy Adoption Society. The organization gave all survivors a new home, to people who understood their desires to live like humans once again. Although some stayed with August or Stella, others went to a new life to experience what they once lost.

once again thinking about the jasper-enobaria-claudius trio because i dont think jasper would mentor either so i think it further cements lymes insistence that claudius shouldn't feel guilty for not mentoring because he now has TWO role models in that sense. whereas before there emory, devon, and misha all trying their best to pull out tributes now he has an even distribution of older victors who do/dont mentor.

also the idea of jasper trying so hard to be a good older figure to enobaria is sending me into a fit because the kid definitely still has that urge to go gut some bunnies behind his house when callista is out but also he cant do that when theres little ones watching and "omg nero will not let me around enobaria if she keeps seeing me covered in bunny blood because now shes gonna want to start playing with them too."

additionally, when D first goes to spar with enobaria i can totally see jasper being like "hey me next me next oh wait were not supposed to be doing that with the new baby".

so yeah just the 3 prickliest most clingy bbies bonding over how their public personas are downright nasty but it is what it is because they get to cuddle their mentors at the end of the day.

i am AMAZED at how you managed to make the murder trio into something wholesome

but honestly D and E are really mostly the way they are because they don't have peers, but if Jasper was an Emory-figure to Enobaria then I really do think it would help shift things! they're still all going to be, well, who they are, but the lack of social isolation would make a big difference

The Happy!AU;

One of my actual faves! In which absolutely nothing bad happens, Siri doesn't lose Niv, doesn't have any infertility issues, no-one dies, etc etc. GusSiri end up in a more than happy marriage and have five kiddos, with Niv, the oldest, being born in 1023, Konrad being born in 1024, Sunniva in 1027, son Even in 1030 and Helene last in 1037. And those kiddos don't have trauma either!! It's really cute and adorable and domestic and i adore

Heidi AU;

The au in which Siri got into an arranged marriage with Fredrik Dagtan and had only a daughter, Heidi. I believe i posted some drawings I made for this au a while back, but hey i love talking about it so. Yeah. Siri be being a bit sad in this au but she does love her little family (even if she and Freddie aren't in love and Freddie has a boyfriend outside of their marriage. They only had Heidi out of necessity as to not raise suspicion about them not being in love - and because Siri really wanted a family and was really sad thinking that they couldn't have one) with all her heart.

Royalty AU;

Modern AU;

Aka in which everyone has to do homework and has to get a job. Yay. Siri works in a flower shop in this after school hours (she studies to become a kindergarten teacher) and it's all really wholesome. Also best cousin Astrid and Siri shenanigans as they live their best lives.

Niv Stays!AU;

Aka a Niv doesn't die au!! In this he grows up as a Berkian with his loving mom and dad and it's cute af. In this, the rest of the Assassin Gang are also Berkians (Klaus unfortunately still dies. This time by being pushed off a cliff :() and Niv just has fun running around through New Berk and having friends all around <3

Ghost Hunter AU;

An au me and my friend Sol made like. Over a year ago?? Two years ago? I am not sure anymore but omg i love this au. So the basic idea is that Sol's ocs and GusSiri are ghost hunters with a YouTube channel where they put their videos (a bit like buzzfeed unsolved supernatural lmao) and they have a lot of shenanigans. Sol's main oc and the main ocs daughter are mediums and Siri gets possessed while pregnant with bby Niv! All fun and games >:)

It wasn't often Haekhael snuck out. But this was at the request of Almalexia, so she had to make the exception. For Almalexia had the odd interest in sweet rolls. A damn pain to make in Morrowind, but Haekhael would still go early to the farmer's market. She clicked her tongue as she mentally made note of ingredients she would need. Eggs were easy enough. Sugar was a little tougher, to get around.

Haekhael would walk around the market, collecting the ingredients. Eggs (click), butter (click), flour (click), a jug of milk (click), salt (click), honey (click), and sugar (the last click from her tongue). She had everything safely in a long basket and hidden by some soft silk she had bought.

Haekhael had quite a bit of work to do.

Fortunately, as Almalexia's righthand woman, she was able to convince every cook in the kitchen to leave for a few hours. Haekhael set the basket down on a long wooden table. It was going to get messy. She took a deep breath as she grabbed a large bowl.

Haekhael began to stir the sugar and butter with a wooden spoon. It took a frustrating five minutes for it to look fluffed as she would add the first egg. After she had beaten the egg into the batter well enough, she added another egg. Haekhael paid careful attention as she would slowly add milk into the bowl. It felt absolutely ridiculous. She glared as she added a bit of flour. Why can't Almalexia just go to the baker and ask, Haekhael would quietly think to herself as she added a pinch of salt. She used a metal bowl to pour the bit of batter in. She hoped Almalexia wouldn't mind the shape. Haekhael set the bowl onto a long handled skillet and allowed the stone oven to do it's work.

Haekhael then looked for another bowl, to make the sweet glaze. She set a little bit of butter into the bowl and decided to rush the process of making glaze by using fire underneath the bowl to warm the butter. The blue flames almost flicked her wrist, but she stayed still. Haekhael set the bowl down and added milk to the butter. Once again, stirring up the bowl. Every new item added was given in a few moments. First the honey, then a bit more sugar. Haekhael smiled at her own handiwork. There was a bit of pride in her grin. She looked over to the oven, the smell of the baked sweet roll was now in the air. Haekhael figured it was done by now, and carefully, she grabbed the long skillet and set it on the wooden table. She looked down at the bowl in the skillet. Fortunately, the sweet roll was fine. Just oddly bowl shaped. So Haekhael proceeded to pour the glaze onto the sweet roll, that's when the wooden door to the kitchen creaked. Haekhael's eyes were wide and open, this was going to be hard to explain...

ok, so, all of my bbies are definitely on the nice list. they're all wholesome little beans and i love them very much. did trent kidnap a child? kind of, but thats irrelevant.

as far as presents go, i feel like Lexi would really want one of those massive 200 piece kiddie art sets that i'm sure every other kid at school would be hella jealous of.

and, for soleil, since she's in the latter half of her child stage, i feel like she's reached an age where she's suddenly into, like, makeup and fashion and stuff, so i could see he like she'd wanting one of those creepy barbie heads that you can do hair and makeup on. (mostly because i feel like she wants to give makeovers to everyone else in the house but everyone keeps on refusing lol).

um, as far as the adults go... idk, i feel like su's the type to by herself stuff presents and then just give it to people to give to her, lol. (i'm thinking, like, some nice clothes/jewellery or maybe a fancy wine).

and for trent, i feel like he'd appreciate a good, like, encyclopedia type book. especially one pertaining to space/sixam since i thats been a lifelong interest of his. idk, he's an absolute nerd and i love that for him.

hi been following you and only realized that you like kdramas too, any recs?

omg hello hello!! this is weird I haven't gotten an ask in years lol anyways I've watched kdramas on and off for a long time so here’s a list of old/new shows that are memorable to me in no particular order~~~

1) do you like brahms?- man oh man as an introvert, this drama just slapped me with all the relatability. It has the perfect balance of melo, angst, and swoon. 10/10 would watch again just to see my bbies Kim min jae and Park Eun Bin get all heart eyes for each other :’) 

2) coffee prince- a true classic- u simply can’t call yourself a kdrama fan if u haven’t watched this one

3) misaeng- if u want fluffy, don't watch this lol it’s v realistic and painful but like..in a good way, highly recommend- acting and character development is top notch

4) because this is my first life- so so so good! one of the few dramas out there that actually do justice to both the main couple & it’s side characters!!

5) crash landing on you- I binged watch this in like a day and thank god that I started it when all the eps came out bc I would have prob dropped it since the later eps get kinda ridiculous tbh. regardless, u get chemistry! wonderful ost! hyun bin! Switzerland landscape! all chef’s kiss!!

5) reply series- I didn’t watch the second season, but the first and third are wonderful (even if my otp didn't make it in the third season.. still not over it)

6) hospital playlist- v wholesome. great friendship, fucking hilarious, ost is amazing. just an overall good show to watch

7) the secret life of my secretary- this came out like a year ago and had a bunch of ridiculous kdrama tropes which normally would make me drop a show BUT the actors had top notch chemistry and it just somehow worked. v fluffy and cute

8) my girl- I think this might be one of the first dramas I watched like waaayyy back so it’s very close to my heart. loved Lee Dong wook ever since hehehee

9) Scarlett heart ryeo- If u like to suffer like me, watch this. V painful. Don't get attached to any characters- that’s all I gotta say about this one

10) Gangnam beauty- real good, shows the crazy side of unattainable beauty standards and expectations for women in Korea (and honestly everywhere else) also if you like dramas where the male lead is just oh so smitten for the girl- this one is for u

11) extraordinary you- I recently just watched this as my “distraction drama” while waiting for new dylb episodes but ended up binging anyways bc its so funny and cute??? Like I love how they make fun of drama tropes so much it’s literally such a fresh plot line and the actress is great!! I feel like it’s hard to pull off her character but she balanced the aegyo/ bubblehead/ sympathetic character so well that it didn’t come off as annoying. V recommended

12) the idle mermaid- okay so from what I remember they cancelled this one so the ending was v abrupt but this drama was actually so good during its run!! I’m still pissed the episodes were cut down bc the storyline literally went from 0-100 real quick- but not in a good storytelling way lol. it had so much potential but I don’t think it got enough views or something so tvn said bye byeeee

13) suspicious partner- this is prob the only one on this list that I truly loved in the first half but dropped by like ep 14?? ji chang wook and nam ji hyun’s chemistry was simply radiating off the screen but the story line just kinda got mehhh by the end for me tbh and I ended up reading the recaps to see what happened in the end...I watched this as the episodes were coming out so if I was able to binge watch I would have prob finished it. regardless, the first 3/4 of this drama is truly superb, thus I’m gonna add it on the list

UPDATE: 2020 got me quarantined and watching so much kdramas- here’s more

14) Uncanny Counter- no romantic plot but my god this show is so good and action packed and heartwarming

15) Into the Ring- I did not hear about this drama at all when it was airing which is such a shame!!!! I saw a YouTube fan made video of it and got curious and my god this show is so fuckin good!!! The balance of comedy, politics and romance was superb. Gong and Sera are prob one of the best romantic couples in kdrama land. They got together pretty early to kdrama standards and normally you’d expect there to be a subplot where they’d break up or some shit but the writers said nah and we luv to see it :)) so many small intimate and mundane moments between our couple making my heart melt and all. If u like soft bois this one is for you!!!! Want a gong myself :’)

I got lots more so will update this post as I go but those are just ones I can name at the top of my head right now!!!

NETFLIX’S SHE-RA JUST ENDED AND I ITS SO GOOD I CRIED LIKE A BABY. And I never do that. It has so many different types of representation and it’s wholesome but also complicated and has a super juicy plot with a lot of emotional substance. Honestly it felt like someone was telling both 7 year old and 20 year old me that everything is gonna be okay. It’s the gay stuff that we would have all benefited from as children but also is super emotional relevant to what being a young adult feels like
