SM A1 - Week 2

For the second entry of the ePortfolio, I looked at another social media event on Instagram, this time with the organisation, the Throwback Store. Specifically a campaign for their fans to show them their best Throwback fits, and to post on their story, where TTS will repost them on theirs. With the major parties involved being the Throwback Store as a sport clothing company and their audiences/the people who saw the original story. The main tools involved include the Instagram story feature, where the Throwback Store initially announced the event, as well as their official FaceBook profile. Some hashtags circled around such as #ThrowbackFits and #WhosGotnext, where the fans could include these in their stories so TTS could see. I first saw the event scrolling through their social media platform, and found the event through their highlighted stories section. In terms of effectiveness for the parties involved, the organisation gets to interact with their fans in their style, while the fans get to engage with potentially one of their favourite clothing brands, so a win-win on the successfulness front. This a great marketing strategy for companies to associate with their audiences, and to ultimately create a better brand and name for themselves.
