I’ve been trying to access the textures from the game files for quite some time, I want to retrieve all the textures for the placeable cubes so I can make little paper versions! Do you have any advice??

Hello! & Yes!

If you're trying to access the files for ilomilo plus, you need to find the place where Windows installs things from the app store, which should be in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps (note that this is a hidden file and does not generally allow user access unless you change some permissions)

Next, search for ilomilo in the top right and you should find all of the game files (I'd copy & paste this folder somewhere else, wouldn't want to break anything important in your game)

After that, your textures should be in data\gfx\textures\cubes !

I have been working tirelessly for 3 days trying to decrypt the ilomilo game files, I’m trying to retrieve the png texture files for every placeable cube so I can make cute little paper versions! Please tell me, how do you decrypt these ancient game files???

HI!!! sorry it took me so long to answer your ask but that is SUCH a cute idea and i would love to see them if you did / do end up making them! 🥹 i was able to get to the game files through the version of the game that i purchased on the windows store! if you have it too, you should be able to find them by going to windows (c:) > program files > windowsapps > microsoft.ilomilo [numbers numbers numbers]. it's been a really long time but i'm preeeetty sure i was able to get into the windowsapps folder by going to properties > settings > advanced and trying to get in through admin permissions. i hope that's helpful and i wish you the best of luck in getting access if you haven't already 🥲

Wanted to not get the newest windows update because every time I do an update, the hdmi port of my laptop stops working.

I know how to fix it, the problem is the only reliable way I found is restarting the pc in troubleshoot mode and temporarily renaming WindowsApps.

And that's annoying to do every time.

So I paused updates.

Now windows just straight up took away my ability to use Bluetooth?

Wtf?

And the only fix it's offering is turning updates back on so the Bluetooth drivers can be updated.

If i didn't dislike change as much as I do, I would've probably switched to Linux already.

finally solved a Windows Store problem. SYSTEM somehow lost all access to a WindowsApps folder. what the fuck? windows?

anyway, I fist pumped for the success and now my entire arm hurts lol

yesssss, gained access to the WindowsApps folder where all the parasitic bloatware is housed, I'm gonna get rid of it directly at the source.

it took me half an hour. to access a folder. in my own computer that I paid for.

WindowsApps has ridiculous security, like wow, Bill Gates really doesn't want you to delete Candy Crush. disgusting.
