Covent Garden: Shop, Dine and Play in the heart of London

In 2024 I want to be a tourist more in my own country! And thats starting with some London content. This weekend I went to one of my favourite spots in the city, Covent Garden.

Covent Garden has always been my favourite place in London. It’s beautiful, almost Roman like in its design. Filled with shops, restaurants and places to sit, unwind and watch the world go by. The fact it was also the first place I visited in London probably helps too. Giving that feeling of nostalgia. Instead of any bright reaction to the reappearance of someone from such a long lost past, Morael leans back against the luxurious bathtub’s wall, one hand hanging off to show her lack of tension upon the entrance of someone so familiar. Morael scoffs, gesturing at for the two women to bring her the towels and a change of clothes. They do not show an ounce of reaction towards the intruder, solely training their gazes on their superior. And so, they hurry up to bring over the towels to wipe off the water off the porcelain skin and to offer a white robe to put on.

“I hoped you would forget about me since I couldn’t expect you to actually die,” she speaks rather impassively, giving her once superior a look over. The life of hedonistic selfish pleasures are there to fill the apathy, the void, the hollowness. For the one who’s been ruled by numbers, deductions and analysis, this life is too different compared to before but she enjoys these small instances of short-lived interest one after another. “It’s never a good time to visit when you are not wanted.”

As she gets out of the bathtub, her servants immediately cover her body from the sight of the visitor. Not that she cares, seeming as she let them do their job. Gently and carefully dry her skin, putting a robe on her, kissing the back of her hand and then bowing while carrying out the towels without sparing a glance to Belial. They obey her and this is her turf, but they are just mortals. They are mayflies: born yesterday, dying tomorrow.

With a robe on, barefoot and lacking the familiar accessories on her wrists and ankles (the shackles), Morael approaches the large mirror without hurrying to pay attention to her ‘guest’. As she mentioned, he was not a welcome guest. Not him, not Lucifer.

Have you been lonely in your hiding?” Boredom colors her gaze as she lazily leans against the marble surface of her beauty station. “I believed I made it rather clear that I don’t want to take part in your dick measuring contest with the world.” The locks of silver are tangling in her fingers, she tugs just a bit to make them come undone. “But your tenacity… you won’t leave until you’ve made your piece. So go ahead,” finally, she turns around to face him, legs crossed as she leans back against her marble table with her right elbow and showing the lack of care for whatever is going to happen. “What did you want to catch up on with me?”
