After the deaths of your four oldest siblings, taken from you by war, your older sibling, Nour, once fifth in line for the Solar Imperial throne, is now the heir. 

This day never should have happened. 

As recompense for the ravages your kingdom’s war has inflicted upon the Lunar kingdom of Celestyl, and as assurance it will not happen again, your sibling is to be sent to Celestyl to marry the Lunar King’s heir. An arranged marriage, meant to unite the kingdoms. Or, at least that’s how everyone prefers to phrase it. But you all recognize this for what it really is: a guise. Your sibling will be a political hostage.

And—Theia, grant you guidance—you have had a premonition this is not the worst to come. Should your sibling go to Celestyl, they will not survive.

So you will take their place.

Stygian Sun: Total Eclipse is a dark fantasy interactive fictional story where you play as the sixth child in the proud and grandiose Solar Imperial Dynasty and leave your homeland for a foreign country, where you will take your sibling’s place in an arranged marriage to the heir to the Lunar Kingdom. But something sinister simmers on the horizon—you have felt it in your premonitions; apprehension crawls beneath your skin, foreboding pricks at the back of your neck, dread sinks low and heavy in your stomach. Theia is warning you—of what, you know not, but you have seen the way the Lunar King looks at you. His stare, the dagger, and you, the sacrificial lamb on the altar.  Beware the wolf, little lamb.

Nour al’Teia, your older sibling. (Gender dependent on MC’s. She/her. He/him. They/them.) Non-RO Once fifth in line for the Solar Imperial throne, Nour was perfectly content to play a supportive role to Parim, first in line, and the rest of their siblings. Now first in line for the throne, Nour is doing their best to step into a role they were never prepared to fill. Despite their best attempts to reassure you, you can tell this weighs more heavily on them than they let on.

Kieran Zeleskas, the Lunar Heir. (Gender Selectable. She/her. He/him.) RO The Crown Prince/ss of Celestyl. Though not of noble birth, events put into motion by their father have elevated them to this position, one they seem to have adapted to rather well by all appearances. Stoic and aloof, they seem less than pleased about this arrangement between the two of you. You’re inclined to agree.

Alektis de Celestys, the lone princess. (She/her.) Non-RO The adoptive sister to Kieran. The slaughter of her family during the coup that brought Kieran’s father to power has rendered her irascible and hostile to most everyone. Though she mostly keeps to herself, with only her retainer, Nihm, for company, you often find her tumultuous glare trained on you, a complex look on her face you can’t quite decipher. Nihm de Circené, the guardian. (They/them.) RO Devoted retainer to Alektis and last surviving member of House Circené. Kind and sociable, Nihm is well-regarded in both noble and commoner social circles alike. However, their warm and affable disposition cannot completely hide the apprehension in their gait, nor the trembling in their hands. Still, they do their best to welcome you in a place where everyone seems dead-set on hating you. (Character portrait coming soon.)

Aurynn Anouar, the retainer (He/him.) RO Seeming to have appeared from out of nowhere, Aurynn rescued you from a dire situation during your first battle experience, and afterwards was appointed your retainer and has served you as such ever since. Charismatic, laidback, and flirtatious to a fault, Aurynn tends to either charm or annoy everyone he meets. Despite his insistence that he is an open book, sometimes you can’t help but feel the opposite; indeed, everything about him seems shrouded in secrecy. 

Samira Nahdiri, the priestess (She/her.) RO Certain events left her family deeply shamed and nearly destitute until her exceptional accomplishments as a healer elevated her to the renowned position as your acolyte, drawing upon the power of your blood to learn healing magic in her pursuit to become a priestess. Strong, loyal, and compassionate, she is devoted to caring for her family above all else, and she counts you among them.

Lilith/Lucien de Arcanis, the mage. (Gender Selectable. She/they. He/they.) RO The adopted heir to House Arcanis, a line of powerful and highly skilled mages. Wild-eyed with a wolfish grin, their peculiar and eccentric mannerisms tend to unsettle their peers, leaving them rather isolated in social circles—a circumstance which doesn’t seem to bother them one way or the other. For better or worse, it appears they’ve taken a rather intense interest in you.

The Hero (Your Target): Maverick “Mav” Kingston (He/Him)

Maverick Kingston, your current target and the strongest member of Astra. The strongest, period. He is unstoppable - unreachable - unattainable. You would know as his (former) best friend.

Appearance: Maverick is the embodiment of “perfection” and that crosses over into his looks. He is roughly 6’1” and is quite lean. He has vibrant light blue eyes and a head of messy blonde hair that seems to always fall perfectly into place.

Personality: Maverick’s greatest flaw is undeniably his personality. To put it bluntly, he’s the best and he knows it. He manages to come across as nonchalant and egotistical on a good day - often just messing around or teasing both his enemies and coworkers alike, and while he can be quite charismatic, his laidback and annoying disposition tends to steer most people away. Although, you get the feeling that there seems to be something deeper lying beneath the surface even after all these years…

The Strategist: Carmen Reyes (She/Her)

Carmen Reyes, lead strategist of the Astra and to put it bluntly the only one with any common sense. She is an intimidating presence - although that might just be due to her title of the best hand to hand combatant of the Astra. You used to be co-workers and classmates but that was a long time ago.

Appearance: Carmen’s beauty is just another thing that adds to her imposing nature. She is roughly 5’11” and has spent years building up her muscular physique. She has curly dark brown hair that rests just below her chin and surprisingly sharp hazel eyes that seem to track your every move…

Personality: Carmen can be considered reserved and wise at best and completely distant at worst. She has a professional air to her that most officials and authority respect, but it can come across as aloof or boring especially when comparing her to the loud personalities that the rest of the Astra has. That’s not to say she is uncaring though - in fact she is arguably the most moral of the group - or at least she was back when you were a member…

The Heart: Silas Jones (He/Him)

Silas Jones, arguably the kindest member of the Astra. He’s excitable and naive - if not a bit endearing. He tends to act as the mediator between the public and the other members of the Astra when necessary. You don’t remember being particularly close with him back when you were in the Astra so it’s surprising how desperately he seems to want your attention now…

Appearance: Silas is roughly 5’8” and has dark brown skin with glowing silver marks scattered across his body. He has black locs that have been dyed red at the tips and dark brown eyes that seem to pull you in wherever you go…

Personality: Silas is easily the nicest of the group and can be quite soothing especially compared to the harsher personalities of the other members and higher ups of the Astra. He is incredibly open and energetic, if not a bit naive. He cares very deeply for the people around him and that clearly extends to you even after all these years. It does make you wonder why he is so interested though…

The Healer: Juno Aceso (She/Her)

Juno Aceso, head of the healing and medical department at Astra. She isn’t what most people expect when they hear the words “doctor” but she is a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of the group. You were close with her back when you were in the Astra…or at least as close as you can be with someone like her.

Appearance: Juno is roughly 5’5”. She has deathly pale skin and dark eyebags that frame her murky green eyes. Her straight chestnut colored hair lands right at her chest, though she usually keeps it up in a bun.

Personality: If Carmen is distant and Maverick is nonchalant then Juno is on a whole other level. She is practically apathetic with her laidback nature and tends to be quite removed from everyone else. That’s not to say she has no personality though. She can be incredibly snarky and sarcastic when she wants to be. Unsurprisingly, she seems the least invested in your return. Although you get an odd feeling whenever she glances your way…

The Star: Payton Monroe (They/Them)

Payton Monroe is nothing if not a star. They embrace the celebrity status that comes with being a member of the Astra with open arms. You weren’t particularly close with them back when you were in the Astra but you heard the rumors of their exploits…

Appearance: Payton is roughly 5’7” and seems to make it their life’s goal to make themself as appealing as possible. They have ivory colored skin and dazzling lavender eyes. Their hair is shoulder length and white with streaks of pink going through it.

Personality: Payton is someone who has no issue embracing the finer things in life. They are far more interested in the public image aspect of being a member of the Astra and that comes across in nearly every interaction. While they are quite flirtatious, they seem to hold no interest in pursuing an actual relationship. Maybe you’ll be the one to change that…

The Newbie: Amari Gray (Gender Selectable)

Amari Gray, the newest member of the Astra. Not much is known about them - they joined after you left and they don’t seem exactly interested in getting to know you. They tend to be annoyed with you more often than not but you get the feeling that they are that way with most people. Although, their constant avoidance towards you specifically is quite odd…

Appearance: Amari is roughly 5’3”. They have tan skin and sharp gray eyes that seem to be set in a perpetual glare. They have thick white hair that is currently styled as a short undercut. They have a few piercings and tattoos.

Personality: You don’t know much about Amari but one thing you do know is that they don’t like you. They are either actively avoiding you or are going out of their way to pick fights with you. They seem incredibly familiar which makes their determination on making your life miserable even weirder…

You have known Cyfrin your entire life, and your father has known him for even longer, given that he discovered your best friend on the doorstep of your home when he was just a baby. Even though he is the older one between you two, he often trails behind you like a duckling following its mother when his break times align with yours. He has often been compared to a dog: always eager to spend time with you, fiercely protective and loyal, sullen and moody whenever you are apart.

The famed ‘Treasure King’, a persona you had no knowledge of until they up and left with your child. Dirty blonde hair tied up into a ponytail with a single braid dangling to their chest, it almost seems to blend in with their fair complexion. You wished they were dull, like those brown eyes of theirs, but they weren’t. They constantly interrupted conversations, always trying to fix you because you weren’t perfection. They have greed unlike any other, one that tears about anything in its way.

THE CRAFTER Llyr/Coradelia Attawater

The spectacle you’re doomed to meet along your path of vengeance. Long and flowing white hair, their silver eyes pulled you in without a second thought. The bralette of pearls they were along their chest contrasts beautifully with the blue scales that run up and down their arms and abdomen. Coming from the Arctic oceans, they possess a porcelain tone that matches the fins protruding from their elbows. They have an envious personality, one that matches the dragon-shaped fin at the bottom of their blue tail.

THE ENCHANTER Neptune Oceana

The merperson who hides behind makeshift seaweed glasses and swears to help you with all the magic they’ve got. Often switching between short-cropped and long purple hair, they’re one of the only merpeople to be born with gills on their ribs. Silver scales shower their abdomen, even M!Enchanter. Their purple hair matches the varients of purple on their betta-shaped tail, dorsal fins, and ear fins. Enchanter is one of the people you can count out through and through, even if they have a past of their own.

YOUR CHILD Morgan Waterford

The light of your life and the one you live for. She came into your life unexpectedly and has forever stayed there with the biggest place in your heart, with bright smiles and a cheery attitude, she’ll never fail to make your day better. Only being 8 years old, Morgan has a natural curiosity that she adopted from you.. something that gets her in danger far to much then you’re comfortable with.

In daylight, their face is tired and worn. You catch them sneaking over the temple walls at night as if hiding one big secret. Some nights, you catch them singing beautiful melodies before running away after they sense someone's listening.

PRINCE LIROY ✧ PRINCESS LORELAI, THE CROWN HEIR OF GILHANNA. Emperor and Empress Jung's firstborn. They are known throughout the kingdom as the epitome of sophistication and stoicism. You don't know much about the Crowned Heir except their duties to the country come first, and they hold them quite dear. A bit too dear.

PRINCESS DELILAH ✧ PRINCE DION, THE HEIR OF DANCE. The royal Jung's second born. A soft but refined beauty. Most remember them for their carefree and childish behavior. "Iona's dancing muse," some may say. You've only seen them dance once when you first came to Gilhanna. Beautiful, hypnotic. You believe they are everything the people say they are.

PRINCESS CLEMENTINE ✧ PRINCE CLEMENT, THE FORGOTTEN HEIR. The youngest of the Jung siblings. You haven't heard about them in all your seven years in Gilhanna. Nor are they mentioned among the people.

Camille of Louvel, the Vainglorious she/her, cis, human - she's talented enough of a swordsman to stand against your twin, who had once been considered the best swordsman in the Empire. Confident and professional to the point of being cold-hearted, she wears her armor like second skin. Unfortunately, she finds you more concerning than alluring.

Eiden, The Rejected he/they, trans, elf - devil may care and hedonistic, he is quite detached from the world. Unrushed, unworried, they flit through the world more as an observer than anything else, more dangerous than they seem. He's old, but you bring something new. Something that has him alert, again.

Dalmar Calix Thom Fausteus, The Shattered he/him, cis, human - once an esteemed gentleman, only child to a family of scholars, he grew up with many opportunities. However, his family was used and he himself betrayed by a friend, changed in more than one way. He's a focused individual, with workaholic tendencies and withdrawn. He's not looking for a friend, but a means to an end.

Leja Ushe, The Moonglade she/her, cis, elotian - unlike many of her kind, she has stayed to help. Attuned to the nature around her, and able to commune with the Spirits, she has more knowledge and answers than most could dream of. Charming, even a bit playful, she keeps her cards close to her chest, but has never let that stop her from showing kindness. She has become a safehaven for many, and perhaps, can be more for you.

Reimer 'Rei' Ara, The Steadfast he/him, cis, elotian - larger than life, considered sunshine in physical form, he meanders through the forests as a helpful, genial caretaker. A man of actions, he hides his worries behind smiles and continues to do what he can to support the forest and Leja. He is very excited to meet you, if not at least marginally confused over your problems, and eager to ease your burdens.

Vasil, The Forgotten they/them, entity- you know them. You knew them, at least. Not in any deep way. Not in any way that means anything. Except, you made a deal. And now, there are consequences.

That is until you were kidnapped and tossed into one especially small carriage to be delivered somewhere only the ancients knew of.

From now on nothing will ever be the same and you need to adapt to the ever-changing outside world as fast as possible. All the while trying to decipher your past and with that your part in an every-growing political conflict that borders to develop into an all out war the world has yet to see.

A has almond-shaped silver eyes that always seem distant and unfocused. They have defined cheek bones with mostly soft facial features and quite long, silver hair that is often tied to a simple ponytail. A wears fine dark clothing without other prominent features to despict their wealth.

They have dark brown hair with intelligent hazel green eyes that seem to observe their surroundings constantly. Z was raised with stories about you, stories you know nothing about. How can it be that they seem to know more of you and your family than you yourself?

Should it worry you that they sound extremely resolute in stating their sole purpose is to rid the world of your existance?

Small note of the author:

Everything is slow burn in this - even the character customization, cause I want to add those moments seamlessly into the story.

I tend to take my time. You can expect me to heavily focus on the characters and their feelings, with a slight disregard to describing the environment and such. I work with minimalistic efforts to still give a sense of what I imagine everything to be but with the intention to leave fine details to the reader's own imagination.

I'll try to be considerate of everyone's preferences, especially in the more kinky parts of the story. There'll be versions for more assertive characters as well as more passive one's. Though I should add that the ROs all have their own set of bias that they prefer. However there will be growth throughout the story, including that.

The gravity of your choices will intensify throughout book 1, especially as you get to know the Circle and the Court and every other political hive of intrigue.

And yes. You can die. The ROs can die. Almost everyone will be able to at some point, I guess. Though I don't like the idea of writing a total distopia, don't expect me to change my mind regarding that one that easily.

When a lethal alien species invades Earth, you, as the foremost expert on ancient linguistics and cultures, are called upon to join a team of experts from around the world that has been tasked with eradicating this threat.

However, when you make the decision, against your teams wishes, to take in and protect a lost alien child, you have no idea that you’re ultimately sealing Earth’s fate.

It does beg the question though, of what exactly that fate is?

Have you doomed Earth to its total destruction or have you unwittingly become its saviour?

Ghost [M]

[Yautja | Suckling]

Ghost was nicknamed as such due to him making half the team think the camp was haunted. He has an almost sweet disposition in comparison to the adults of his species, and he seems determined to protect you after you protected him. Ghost doesn’t really like it when other members of your team get too close to you, but he makes an exception for the commander and the three doctors. He’s inquisitive, affectionate (with you), and loves to try and fight everything he comes across. You know you shouldn’t get attached, but you just can’t help yourself.

At only 3ft tall, it’s clear that this little one is a younger member of the Yautja species. Ghost has whitish eyes with an orange-red ring around the pupil that are less sunken than the adults of his species. His reptilian-like skin looks slightly lighter in colour than his older sibling due to his mottling being a more greenish-blue. His hair-like appendages are also of the same colour and stop just past his shoulders with only a few spacer beads clipped in. He has four mandibles with small tusks (although they’re big enough to suggest that Ghost will grow to be rather tall) and a mouthful of sharp teeth, with some still growing in. He has small black claws, but the length shouldn’t fool anyone, they’re still very sharp. Ghost wears garb similar to older Yautja, but has not earned his mask yet.

Thwei-kv'var-de | Blood Hunter [M/F] [RO]

When it comes to the Yautja that you nicknamed Hunter, you instinctively know that they’re dangerous even by their species standards. If not for Ghost, you’re pretty sure you would have been skewered on their blades, but as it is, you manage to earn the Elite Yautja’s respect and in turn, their trust and friendship. Hunter is highly intelligent, has a rather terrifying sense of humour, and even seems somewhat…charming. They also appear to take great pride in protecting their sibling and the soft ooman aka: you, from anything they deem to be a threat. You, on the other hand, aren’t sure how to feel about having a member of one of the deadliest species in the universe as a bodyguard.

With M!Hunter standing at 7’11ft and F!Hunter standing at 8’2ft, they tower over the humans in your team. They have small, yellowish-gold eyes deep set in tough, reptilian-like skin that is lighter in colour with dark blueish mottling. The colour of their mottling is also the colour of their hair-like appendages which reach their mid-back and appear to have several metal spacer beads clipped onto them. They have four mandibles with long tusks, but their top left tusk has a large chip in it, and several sharp teeth. They also have long black claws, that could easily tear through flesh. Hunter wears the traditional Yautja garb and a mask that is heavily marked showcasing that Hunter is a veteran predator (similar to Wolf’s).

Commander Jensen/Jenna ‘Jen’ De Luca [M/F] [RO]

[Human | NAVY SEAL | Italian-American | 33]

Charismatic, confident, and commanding, it’s hardly surprising that they were chosen to head the whole team. With a flirtatious personality and lightning fast wit, many people are lulled into a false sense of security around the NAVY SEAL, allowing Jen to easily catch people off guard. They take their responsibilities and their teams safety very seriously, and can switch from laid-back to alert in an instant. They seem to enjoy your company, and take a lot of joy in trying to get you to laugh. They also worry about you and your decision-making skills a lot. Clearly they’re just going to have to stay by your side for this mission.

Jen stands tall and steadfast at 6’3, with an athletic build born from their service in the NAVY SEALs. They have wavy black hair that falls to Jenna’s mid-back and to just below Jensen’s ears. Jenna’s hair is usually kept up in a high ponytail. They have ice blue eyes, with a scar running from their temple, just below their left eye, to the ala of their nose. Their sun-kissed skin and light freckles give the appearance of someone who has just walked off a runway, rather than a battlefield. Several traditional SEAL tattoos can be seen on Jen’s upper arms and back, but they have no piercings.

Dr. Choi Hyun [Agender] [RO]

Having worked together many times in the past, Hyun has become a very good friend to you. They come across as quite prickly to most people, but no matter how grumpy they appear to be, it’s clear to anyone with eyes that Hyun is always happy to have to you near them. The best way to make friends with them and earn a place on their ‘people I’m nice to’ list, is to listen to them talk about their work. Hyun is very enthusiastic about archeology and they physically light up when asked about any aspect of it. Moments like that are why, despite their general grumpiness, so many people have a crush on them. Well that…and the fact that they’re very pretty.

At 5’6, Hyun is of average height with a chubby build and toned muscles from constantly lugging heavy equipment around. They have warm beige skin that is evidently well taken care of with no defining features or scars on their face. They have straight ash brown hair that falls to their shoulders, and deep brown eyes that often appear black in certain lights. Hyun has their lobes and their right helix pierced with silver jewellery, but they have no tattoos, although they are eventually planning to get a large one on their chest area.

Doctor Vanja Nikolić [NB!M] [RO]

[Human | Medic | Croatian | 38]

Vanja’s an extremely well-regarded doctor, and while xe is known for having quite a stoic bedside manner, xe softens dramatically around children. Knowledgable and quick-witted, there aren’t many who can stand toe-to-toe with Vanja and he makes sure that the cocky bastards that try know it. Xe follows the mindset that trust and respect must be earned, which can make xem seem arrogant at times, but in reality, Vanja has just been betrayed far too many times. Once that trust has been earned, however, you will see a much more relaxed, open, and even teasing side to him that is sure to leave most flustered.

The doctor is 5’10 and has a slender and elegant build with softer muscle tone that points to xyr most used muscle being xyr brain. He has grey eyes that are so light, they are almost eerie, and tousled auburn hair that curls at his nape. Vanja has pale skin, almost completely unblemished, if not for the scar that runs across xyr forehead and disappears into xyr hair. He wears black-framed, circular glasses all the time due to his hyperopia and Vanja uses a retainer strap to keep them from falling off when he is on the move. Xe has no tattoos or piercings.

Dr. Mainza Kabwe [F/NB] [RO]

[Human | Chemical Engineer | Zambian | 36]

Mainza has a very calming effect on everyone ey meets, with the ability to make friends anywhere and make almost anyone smile. Ey is cheerful and friendly, and thrives on a challenge. Mainza always tries to see the good in people, which can lead to em being let down a lot, but ey doesn’t let that destroy eir positive outlook. Ey is very popular amongst those ey works with, and considering Mainza is a person with great muscles and an even better laugh, it’s hardly surprising. Ey always goes out of eir way to make sure that you’re doing okay, and is the first to offer eir support of your decision. Like Jen, ey is eager to do what ey can to keep you safe.

With a muscular build developed through hard work and physical labour, and standing at 6’0 feet tall, Mainza paints an impressive picture. Ey has shoulder-length black Locs and dark brown eyes that always carry a warmth to them. Eir skin is sepia with two beauty marks, one under eir eye and one on eir chin. Mainza has no scars on eir face but has plenty of calluses on eir hands. Ey wears red-framed glasses when reading or doing work that requires a lot of focus (or involves finicky parts). Ey has a vertical piercing in eir right eyebrow and has eir lobes pierced with silver hoops. Ey also has two full tattoo sleeves and several tattoos on eir ribs, torso, and back.

The Erebus Project is an 18+ sci-fi/cyberpunk game meant for mature audiences, and will include scenes that might upset some readers.

When humanity first dabbled in the science of portal technology, no one thought much of it. A project of immense proportions, doomed to fail, that's what everyone said.

You were skeptical as well, and that exact skepticism ended up uprooting your entire life. Not that you had much in the shady pits of The Pens, but it was better than the glass cage you've been imprisoned in.

An alien. It came through the portal with a vicious screech and a horrifying visage of a maw large enough to swallow you whole. It did so to the others, tore them limb from limb and left them in pieces, but here you are; safe, quarantined, with that same black ichor briefly appearing like veins on your skin. Poked, prodded, and treated like nothing but a walking test subject, that's what the alien turned you into.

Until it utters the first notes of speech, inside your head like an echo. It learns through you, and for those endless months it was one of the only two voices you heard. It grew angry, restless, loud in your head. It spoke of a threat, and a salvation in words you couldn't comprehend. As it grew stronger, you had to resist it more. Hold down your own fingers, then your hand, then your entire arm. The scientists were exstatic.

Then it broke out. Not from you, as you, and your life would never be the same. From a poor, unassuming resident of The Pens to the most hunted human on the surface of Earth - All the while the alien echoes in your mind, threatening, warning in a low, constant rattle.

It's coming.

Create and guide your Host; a broke and desperate resident of The Pens that learned that when something is too good to be true, it probably is.

Customize the Host! Names, gender, appearance, sexuality, and romantic preference; even clothing style, skin details, and core personality. It's up to you to create your perfect host!

Romance it not lost in the void of space: there are currently four characters to pursue, with possibly more on the horizon. All characters are gender selectable, and available for romance even if the Host is asexual.

Name your alien! It doesn't need a name, but you can't call it 'parasite' forever. Decide whether or not to give it pronouns as well, unless you're content with calling the thing 'it' throughout your journey.

Choose whether to accept the new tenant residing in your cranium, or fight it every step of the way. On one hand, you're technically a bona fide superhero; on the other hand, you have an interstellar, sentient goo inside your body.

Learn why the alien appeared through the portal, and subsequently gain knowledge of a approaching threat that will end your solar system as you know it.

Balance a semi-social life as a fugitive, all while being hunted by the CSI, and keeping the parasite from going on a rampage. Your willpower will be your greatest asset, use it. If not for anything else but to keep the alien from entirely consuming you.

And most importantly: Save the galaxy! No big deal, right?

An extraterrestrial entity with no known origin, the creature that stepped through the portal and found its way into your brain. No tests have proven its existence, and only you can hear it, but scientists are certain it resides somewhere within your body. It rarely spoke in the beginning, but the months you’ve spend in captivity with it has altered it to understand your language, at least. Occasionally it shifts across your body, appearing in rivulets of black, green, and blue across your skin but neither human nor camera has been able to catch it in motion.

The more time you spend together, the more you come to realize that it’s not just a mindless organism inhabiting your body, but a sentient creature with knowledge beyond your own, and a desire to leave.

The one who took you into protective custody after your body was retrieved from the wreckage in the portal room. No one knows why they believe you’re infused with the monstrosity that appeared from beyond the abyss, but they’ve kept you alive so far. Their underlings trust them completely, but there are whispers that there’s a separate reason they're keeping you alive and cooped up instead of vivisecting you for the alien that resides within. If you only had more time within the project, maybe you could've learned why their eyes are so cold and distant.

For months, they were your only contact to the outside world. Observing them through your glass cage only painted them as aloof and cold, disinterested in idle chatter and friendly banter; when they spoke with you alone, they were different. It was easy for the residents of Celea to underestimate Elex, to only see nem as lazy, overly flirtatious, and too easily distracted and remain blind to how nir eyes missed nothing. Ne is, in fact, a highly intelligent individual who can talk nir way in and out of any situation and is now regarded as the highest priority target due to nir strategies alone. Yet, you knew the kind of danger ne presented long ago, and it left Elex reeling when you went to nem for strategic advice. From that moment, you were, and still are, thoroughly under nir skin.

Out of all who fell, Hayle was the most shocking. Xe was sweet, outgoing, and always ready to lend an ear and a healing hand to those who were in need, so it was widely suspected that xe had been abducted rather than gone willingly. However, Hayle proved that rumour to be spectacularly false by personally sending the members of xyr rescue party back in several pieces. A move that even you didn’t see coming. You had been just as drawn in by xem as everyone else and even considered xem a close friend. It makes you no different to anyone else, so xyr interest in you is a mystery to everyone but xem.

On a scale of least to most slowburn, where do all of the ROs lie? Can you tag this question with #slowburn, please?

I'm a sucker for slowburn, you know wink wink I think many fanfics I've read are tag slowburn too.

If I were to rank them from the least to most slowburn, it might go like this:

1. Lydia/Luke Parker:They already genuinely admire the MC. They already like you. Of course, I won't make the story that easy; there will be other challenges and issues, for sure.

2. Kaia/Kai Carlson:With their looks and personality, I feel it wouldn't be difficult for the MC to be enchanted by them. It won't be hard for the MC to capture their attention either. However, with fame and scandals in this industry uh oh it won't be that easy.

3. Ava/Adam Blackwell:They are the cold, work-focused type, so when they start developing feelings for the MC, they'll be more in denial, especially if the MC acts similarly. Moreover, if the MC behaves like them🤦‍♀️

4. Madison/Mason Ashford:This one is probably predictable. There's a lot of hatred, frustration, regret. From the beginning, you two didn't have a good relationship, and adding that 'incident' makes it the slowest burn of all.

Summary

Lol its been a terrible couple of months and I have already written this post at least 3 times but I've never been able to fully get across what is truly going on and how to articulate it.

I'm gonna try to keep it short and to the point however, cause I know some of you all don't really care about theatrics.

 ATOH is still in production. Yes, you heard right, I am still working on it. I am just going through a slump. And it's not necessarily that I am in writer's block. I wish it was writer's block honestly, that would be so much easier to deal with…

 I'm extremely depressed currently, and for a while, I hadn't even known I was depressed! This has truly threw me for a loop yall 🥴🥴. I honestly have no idea when I will be able to fully get myself out of this but I've been trying for a very very long time and it just doesn't seem like it's coming to an end. 

During this time, I've managed to gain some energy to work on edits given to me by beta readers but I cannot say for certain that this project is something I can turn my full attention towards anymor. I'm not putting a ATOH on hiatus because I hate that. And I'd hate to put my game on hiatus for fear that ill completely forget about it. Instead, I'll sayil that production, ie., editing, writing, etc., is going to be extremely slow. The good thing is and I keep saying this over and over is that this new chapter or i should say the new portion of the game is ready for drop. I just need to go ahead and finish adding suggestions but again I just need to gain the energy to do so.
