Hey there, Tumblr folks!

First things first, I'm sorry for being MIA for so long. But hey, I have a pretty good excuse, I'm having a baby in May! Yes, you read that right. Yours truly is going to be a mom. It's been a wild ride so far, but I'm so excited to meet my little bundle of joy.

Now, I know some of you might be wondering what happened to all the finished Buddie fanart that I promised to post last year. Well, fear not my friends, I have plenty of it saved up and ready to share with the world. From Buck and Christopher's adventure at a fair with a giant shark plushie, to baby Bee's adorable baby picture (she's the daughter I imagine Buck accidentally ending up with and raising with Eddie, by the way), and even a Buckley-Diaz family beach day (baby Bee included, of course), I've got it all.

And if that's not enough, I also have a super cool Buddie t-shirt design that I made. I can't wait for you all to see it!

But that's not all, folks. I'm also working on an online shop with my friend @thefriendlypigeon (yes, that's her real name of course), and we're hoping to have it up and running soon. So, if you're in the market for some sweet stickers or prints, stay tuned for updates.

So, there you have it. I promise to post all this amazing content soonish, but my energy levels are pretty low at the moment (thanks, pregnancy), so bear with me. In the meantime, feel free to ask me anything about my headcanons for baby Bee or just say hi.

Fandom inspiration 2019

I follow a lot of creators in the SPN fandom on my blog and on twitter, everything from Meta to Fics to Art and other crafts and sometimes a bunch of things wrapped up into one. 

These are things that I came across in the past year that inspired me or just stuck in my head over the months! If something you created isn’t on here, it doesn’t mean I didn’t love it (I honestly may just not have seen it). I literally love everything this Fandom creates. Everything I list is just stuff the aligns with other things in life that spark my imagination. But literally, everything that I see I love. A lot of this is from this current season of SPN, so it's covering the last few months and not all of 2019, BUT, I’m still putting 2019.

I’m first going to start off with @soleeryx. Their art is a recent addition to my dash and twitter. But they have beautiful Destiel artwork and such a unique and amazing art style that makes you want to keep looking through everything.

Then there’s the ever lovely @winchester-reload! Her art inspires me every time I see it, and it even kick-started my writing muse back in the spring. The realism but also fantasy of her style makes you want to be in whatever world they live in. I just got the calendar, and for once I’m going to remember to actually turn it to the new month lol.

There’s also @thefriendlypigeon, who, like, pls. I love their artwork so much. Also, I’m going to put @purgatory-jar on here as well because like DANG Y’ALL DANG. There’s also this picture by @ablavalba which never has left my mind since I saw it. 

Speaking of NSFW, there’s a NSFW account I stumbled across that is some pretty good inspiration, and that’s @justanothertart. It’s not a SPN fandom blog, but it’s pretty fun to scroll through. 

In terms of fanfic, what I’m able to make time to read, I have a few fics I really gravitated to! I also recently found @profoundnet which is a fun Discord server and has so many channels for creatives in the fandom! 

In terms of writing in general, I recently followed @heywriters and @justawritingaid, loving these accounts immensely. 

One fic I’m really enjoying is ‘la hantise’ by @wanderingcas. I’m currently two chapters behind because real life got busy, but I eagerly await catching up. Plus, it’s set in Maine. I LOVE Maine and try to set as many things as I can there without being too overwhelming. 

Another writer I recently followed (thanks to profoundnet!) is @saltnhalo. Their stories are wonderful to read, and every time I see a small drabble cross my dash I’m like YES. PLEASE. YES. 

There’s also @ltleflrt who I first started following because of the @winchester-reload picture I wrote my first smut fic on. The picture was commissioned by ltleflrt and then I read some of their fic and I’m like oh NO i LOVE IT! Currently on my to-finish list (because this is right up my alley) is ‘Hunter’s Caress’.

This came across my dash today, “Evangelist”, and it’s on my To Read list but I’m already going to put it in my inspiration list because college AUs are addicting to read, and I do love @dochollidayed‘s writing! They are just also a fun person to follow in general. 

Basically, I just love @nickelkeep to no end, and they are a great writer and on the Profoundnet Discord, they do ‘Storytime’ which is like, an amazing fanfic journey on Mondays. It’s just fun to read their stuff, and they also just put out a master list today! 

Here’s just another fic to list before I just completely get too long with this lol but there’s ‘Rocks for Jocks’ by @castielslostwings. ANOTHER COLLEGE AUUUUUUUU YAY! 

I have a lot of things I want to read, and one of my goals for 2020 is to honestly sit down and read things and write recommended posts for things. SPN fandom recs

I think I’ve recommended them all before, but some of my favourite SPN fan fiction authors on here are:

@ameliacareful (Gen, some wincest) @denugis (Sastiel, Wincestiel, an assortment of Sam pairings) @jazzforthecaptain (Sastiel & others) @road-rhythm (Gen, Sastiel & Wincest) @stripy-tights (Wincest, Sastiel, Wincestiel, Benny/Dean, etc). 

if your taste is anything like mine and you haven’t read their stuff, you’re in for a treat! They all have their own style, of course, but one thing they all have in common is amazing characterisation and a great eye for portraying Sam. The writing is polished, touching and some of the best fiction I’ve read. Period. 

As for fan art, I adore both @thespnproject  and @thefriendlypigeon 

I feel like rec lists are extremely underrated. I spent so much time looking for them when I first started reading SPN fan fiction. So many hours of searching for authors that I liked. I’m still always on the look out, but some of these old old rec lists from years ago have really helped me out. Anyway, do yourself a favor and read these guys and check out the fan art.

Oh! Well I participated in some wonderful bangs last year (and this year, but those are not done yet) and got AMAZING ARTWORK FOR IT!

❥ I wrote a fic for the Fandom Destiel Fanfic Season 15. My Episode was number 8 “Sleeping Beauty” and @jdragon122 drew there for me. God I’m still not over it :D -> Art here

Personal Space is a fic by @malmuses about Dean who goes to Mars, totally under the impression that he's alone there, but surprise freaking surprise! He's not. That's right, our resident Alien Cas is just chilling there, too cool for Earth, obvi.

Cas is the cutest freaking alien you'll ever meet, and his love for coffee has everyone relating to him. 1. When people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with?

Well on the internet, sometimes people ask me for writing advices or to betaread something. And my parents come for my help to move heavy stuff.

2. What would be your first question after waking up in the year 2233, from being cryogenically frozen for 215 years?

“What season of Supernatural is it now?” Haha just joking, I’d probably ask about technology and space travel I guess.

3. What is your ideal way to spend the weekend?

Lots of energy and inspiration: waking up early, writing all morning, finishing a chapter and updating it, getting a bunch of long reviews, drawing some dumb Merlin art and putting it on tumblr, chatting with @geek-trough-time-and-space while watching Netflix, and a shopping trip and/or restaurant with @less-life-and-more-dream :D

4. What is the most heartwarming thing you’ve ever seen?

My friends and my parents. Just looking at them or thinking about them warms my heart.

5. What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?

Fanfictions, Writing, BBC Merlin, Libraries. Japan.

6. What’s the best thing that happened to you last week?

I took a few days off at my parents’. So I was fed for free and had no dishes to wash! \o/

7. What amazing thing did you do that no one was around to see?

I dunno if that’s amazing, but I only sing and dance when I’m alone.

8. How different was your life one year ago?

Not that different tbh. I had different coworkers, that’s all.

9. Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been?

In south Japan, Sakurajima, with my feet in warm water and gazing at the sea, @less-life-and-more-dream by my side and a few stray cats napping. I want to go back there!

10. What are you looking forward to in the coming months?

Lots of stuff! In order: New Year Eve, updating new chapters for my fics and starting a new one, some shopping trips with friends for the sales, eating Galette des rois (yum yum, I’ll try to bake one myself), maybe a new haircut, and travelling in Ireland with @geek-trough-time-and-space! I can’t wait!!

11. Who inspires you to be better?

@geek-trough-time-and-space inspires me to be more kind, patient and open-minded. @less-life-and-more-dream inspires me to be more determined, to learn more stuff about history and art, to plan for my future, and not be such a lazy ass. @dupond-and-dupont inspires me with her creativity, energy and bright positivity. People I never met IRL inspire me too. Like you, @spockslash, you inspire me to take pride in my passions, to never stop enjoying fandoms and writing fanfictions. I’m also in awe with great fanartists like @thefriendlypigeon or @maryluis who make me want to practice to become better at drawing.
