Gene’s missing most of his memories from his life before the nether because his solution to feeling upset is to just, erase whatever’s making him feel that way about the nether. He can’t remember his mom’s face or her name, or the little street cat he used to sneak food to whenever he went on patrol, or how happy he was playing with Dante when they were little. He can’t remember how nice it felt to sit in the rain or what it was like laying in the grass to watch the stars, or how Dante would always come sleep in his room during storms and he’d pretend the thunder didn’t scare him too.

i have a strong feeling that he showers twice a day: in the morning after waking up and at night before going to bed

his cologne is probably the type that will last in an elevator for like a week after he uses it once. i dont think this mf ever smells like anything other than his cologne

aside from demon language/eng/jp he can speak french and knows latin

listens to classical stuff yea but he also listens to diavolos mixtapes (re: diavolo's section)

his cologne doesnt last as long as lucifers and probably smells common. he has to reapply a lot but it's a people pleasing smell. it's cheaper hence the constant reapplying

he probably does have an expensive bottle but is the type to totally overspray...eek

he is canonically a car guy 🥲 and probably tells the one in his room good morning & good night + kisses the hood every once in a while. has tons of car magazines

he doesnt really speak other languages but has attempted to learn spanish before

random chara hearcanons + ramblings bc CHARA MY BELOVED!!!

i might be projecting but i hc that chara has depression and ptsd! we know they hated people bc of what asriel says during the epilogue, “I know why Chara climbed the mountain. It wasn't for a very happy reason. Frisk. I'll be honest with you. Chara hated humanity.” and i think they hate humanity so much bc of some trauma other people caused. chara is angry and upset, and probably starts to hate humanity more once they learn about all of the pain humans have caused monsters. they aren’t evil or mean, they’re traumatized and hate people because they’ve been hurt so many times

i like to think that chara is so close with asriel in part bc he was one of the first people they felt like they could fully trust. asriel was with them through everything, saved them, gave them a home, etc. i think chara loved him so much in part bc asriel was there for them when everyone else had hurt them

i think chara erases the world at the end of the genocide run because of frisk’s actions in that run and not bc they themselves are cruel. chara is smart, they know that a frisk who would kill all monsters would likely be interested in destroying things alongside chara. the way i see it, chara is angry. they had to watch frisk kill their friends and family, the monsters who took them in and protected them after they had been hurt so bad by humans. chara watched them hurt asriel after he cried and begged for them not to hurt him. they watched frisk reset over and over at every save point, trying to hard to kill everyone and everything and not stopping even when they themselves are struck down. and they don’t have a body anymore so they couldn’t do anything to stop it. genocide run frisk shows what chara hates in humanity: mercilessness and cruelity for the sake of cruelity. they want to get revenge on frisk and stop them from hurting alphys and the monsters who hid and escaped. they want to stop frisk from hurting people beyond the barrier. chara constantly says “just finish the job” throughout the run because they’re exhausted and can’t stand watching frisk hurt these monsters anymore, they just want everything to end. the reason they only come out at the end is fear, in part, and the fact that watching asriel be killed despite his cries and begs was the last thing they could take. when they say “it’s me, chara!” in the mirror in toriel’s home rather than “it’s you” i like to think it’s for a similar reason that sans says “pretend to be a human” to frisk, and for the same reason that some theorize he would make fake blood at the end of the battle with him. chara wants frisk to see another person, hoping maybe they’ll find some goodness and humanity. just like some theorize that sans would use ketchup as fake blood to make frisk see that they’re hurting people like themselves as well, chara wants frisk to see that frisk is human to remind them of any good humanity they might have. they aren’t evil and they aren’t seeing themselves in frisk’s actions, they’re trying to stop frisk from hurting everyone and trying to get revenge on frisk for the pain they’ve caused. the reason why you get a photo with chara and everyone’s faces crossed out or a chara nightmare when you finish a pacifist run after a genocide run is chara reminding frisk of the pain they caused and showing them that the atrocities they committed aren’t something they can just erase and move on from. chara just wants monsters to be happy and to be ok and they hate that once again a human has taken that happiness away from monsters, but they know a reset won’t stop frisk because they will just start over, so if they erase the world and take frisk’s soul for frisk to get it back they can hope that without that soul and determination frisk can’t reset anymore and thus no more genocide run, even though that ultimately isn’t the case. chara just wants to help monsters and they’re angry at her another human for hurting them

asriel says in the epilogue that chara wanted to hurt the humans in the village when they attacked asriel and them, but once again it’s not bc chara is evil or violent, it’s bc they were traumatized by humans and and this is like a fight response to those triggers, and also bc they wanted to protect asriel!!!

chara’s plan to collect 7 human souls as talked about in the tape was for the good of monsters, not so they could hurt humans. they wanted monsters to go free and to live a normal life with their monster family. when they say “our plan had failed, hadn’t it?” in the genocide run they’re referring to their goal of freeing and saving monsters, not like, killing the people that asriel wouldn’t fight. chara wanted to save monsters and to break the barrier, they didn’t want their soul to fuse with asriel because they knew that meant their soul couldn’t be one of the 7 to free monsters. when frisk killed the monsters in the genocide route it meant that monsters weren’t free or safe, their plan with asriel to free monsters from the underground and save them from the prison humans put them in had failed because once again a human had taken everything from them

on a lighter note, pacifist run chara narrates and translates for frisk! chara and frisk likely come from the same village seeing as they’re both able to just go up the mountain and see what’s there, so they probably know the same form of sign language. frisk is mute and signs things to chara, who translates over the phone for them. they also describe everything around frisk since they’ve lived there before and know what everything is while frisk doesn’t know. when they don’t know what to say, they describe stuff! they probably aren’t sure what to make of the mettaton fight since they’ve never seen mettaton ex before, so they say “smells like mettaton”. they don’t know about the amalgamates so they say “smells like sweet lemons” during your fight with lemon bread

the mummy wrappings in the red soul coffin were for chara. asriel removed them from their coffin and carried them off to the village before those supplies could’ve been used. when he brought chara back in after they were attacked, toriel took them out to the flower bed in the ruins where they initially landed to give them a propel burial, and then chose to live in the ruins specifically to take care of chara. chara is buried under the flowers right at the start of the ruins which is why asriel refuses to leave in the epilogue and says “someone has to take care of these flowers.” it’s also in part why toriel is so sad and lonely, being in the ruins and visiting her child daily makes her remember the pain she felt losing chara and asriel and it makes her extra worried about losing frisk and the other humans. through visiting chara like this, both asriel and toriel can see them and talk to them even though they’re mostly gone

asriel and chara were the ones who left those echo flower messages about wishes. chara was the one who laughed and said “it’s just funny, that’s my wish too”

just like kris, chara also had little red horns. chara didn’t like that they were human since they hated humans, but loved monsters and wished they were one. asriel made them little paper horns to be more monster-like, and eventually toriel sewed them an pair and put it on a headband so they could stay on their head

not really a headcanon or theory, just a note. there’s lots of similarities between kris and chara: red eyes, knives, portrayed as “strange”, likes to scare other people (kris hiding under noelle’s bed and putting ketchup on their arms to scare her, and chara doing their creepy face to asriel in the tape—they likely did it before cause asriel had to have known what it was so there’s nothing saying they only do it when asked by asriel), a bit secluded and like to be alone (toriel is no longer upset with kris when she finds out they didn’t answer her calls bc they were with a friend, chara is only ever shown or talked about in relation to asriel or their parents), both kind of get rid of their soul in some way (kris removes their soul and chara like died to give their soul to the monsters), both have similar outfits (although kris looks more like frisk in their face and hair), very close to their asriel, both like monsters, both have mostly obscured eyes until the ending of the game, etc.

chara can only verbally talk to frisk, but they can talk through the phone, similar to how asriel spoke to frisk on the phone at the end of the true lab even though he didn’t have his soul back then and was still a flower, and similar to how you can understand the memory head amalgamate when you use your phone. frisk is one of the few people who can hear their voice irl

chara can verbally talk with mettaton, mew mew, and nabstablook since they were all once ghosts/are ghosts. mettaton sometimes helps chara to speak and to appear to crowds bc they can use his microphones to speak since that’s technology and chara can use his advice to show their own incorporeal form more clearly. chara and nabstablook get along very well as shy ghosts who are best friends with their family

chara and frisk become best friends in pacifist runs :3 frisk returns the the underground sometimes to talk to asriel and lets chara speak to him while they visit through their phone, and eventually chara convinces asriel to come back with them and to live with them again (yes i know this isn’t possible in canon shhhhhhh)

chara is autistic and has adhd. they also have chronic pain and use a cane as a result of their chronic pain and bc of a long lasting injury they sustained from falling into the underground, or they float as a ghost

Tanaka

100% has a semi-embarrassing old username that he got to match with noya when the app first came out during their second year

he didnt realize he wouldn’t be able to change his username a month into his use of the app, but didnt even bother making a new account and just accepted it

has a high snap score from his constant snapping with nishinoya and hinata throughout the day, his insistence on updating kiyoko with his accomplishments with a peace sign selfie, and the many group chats he is in

i think like a 130,000 snap score seems to fit him, he doesnt fit the stereotype of snapping a lot of girls constantly but would definitely be constantly talking to friends

posts on his main story maybe twice a day

sometimes will post a random shirtless selfie at like 1am, but everyone thinks its some weird ironic humor when in reality he just cant remember what happened

doesnt get self conscious of people seeing into his life, so there’ll probably be some videos of him and saeko doing some dumb shit at home every other week

saeko always asks for him to @ her all the time and he always refuses

selfies and videos with the team are a common occurrence of tanakas snapchat stories

some examples of the above would be:

a shaky video with LOTS of laughter in the background of kageyama chucking a ball at 70mph at hinatas face

a video of nishinoya running across the gym to try and climb tsukishima in the shortest possible time he can manage (whispering “ready? Go!” and noya zooming across the gym to launch himself at the blond, who immediately squirmed and protested and yelled while noya grabbed his flailing arms and continued to haul himself up. this video was one of tanaka’s prized possessions, and he kept an extra copy of it in his my eyes only after tsukishima threatened to steal his phone and erase it when he found out he was recording)

videos of the bus after games, featuring all the sleeping members of the team

and during the class noya and tanaka shared they would always sit in the back and push their desks together so they could film “vlogs�� together and talk to the phone for a whole ass minute until the teacher would notice

basically, tanaka gets all the funniest content imaginable, and man am i gonna write down a whole post-worth of videos he’s probably taken

Nishinoya

doesnt have a bitmoji because of the limited hair options it has

he says nothing “capture his essence” enough to make it worth having one

the first time he did this to asahi, he nearly gave the poor boy a heart attack because he hadn’t read the notification name and all asahi had seen was a really creepy angle of his own face

uses his my eyes only for “macho poses” of himself flexing or posing shirtless in the mirror, and one time tsukishima broke into it after threatening to for weeks and laughed his ass off in front of the team for 5 minutes after seeing them all

i have a personal hc that nishinoya is one of the members of the team who is super into physical affection (platonically)

so he takes a bunch of selfies with his friends with him posing to kiss their cheek, or with an arm around them

lots of hug videos, some taken by tanaka of him running up to hug some of his more reluctant teammates ( *cough cough* kageyama and tsukki)

they always track him down after practice and ask him to send them the pictures so they can save them

always has the BEST material for posting on peoples birthdays

basically, noya’s snapchat would feature other people a lot more than it would him, and he can’t go a day without “1 year ago today” memories

doesnt regret a moment of his spamming, and is super happy he gets to look back on all these good times they had together

Memories of You.

I really like a domestic life of Ae and Pete. I have nothing against the book 2, but I would love it not focus on assault, villains popping here and there. Actually there are still many things that can separate them and say that the 3 years separation will prove their strong love for one another. Here is just a crazy HCS on my side. I’m not that good at it. I’ll make it a proper fic when I have enough time. I dedicate this fic to the person who made me write again, who encourage all to keep on writing and be free of inhibitions and just write this is for you @opald <3 

Ae hasn’t still got the chance to introduce Pete to his family, and when they were there visiting Nut’s newborn baby, Ae’s mother drop a line like: ‘Ohhh Ae, when you hold your own child you will know the joy of being a father.’ She said that not because of Pete or anything, it’s just a word a mother would often say to their child. 

Pete heard that and keeps on thinking about it.

And that particular line left a tiny strings of doubt and insecurities to Pete that made him shuts up, quiet, always thinking… afraid. 

Ae was really angry at Pete because Pete keeps on closing his world/ his thoughts. 

Pete is a ball of insecurity. 

Ae and Pete were arguing when Pete was driving when Pete didn’t notice the vehicle that overtake and they were in an accident. 

Ae lost his memories, mostly of Pete. (I know this is so used but I think this fits - I don’t  like villains popping here & there)

Ae woke up with a person crying beside him and when Pete throw himself at him, saying sorry. Ae touches Pete’s head with bandage and said, ‘I guess the reason I’m here is you and the reason you’re crying is me. I’m alive so I think it’s no big deal, so you don’t need to hug me.’

Pete then said, ‘I’m so sorry krub Ae…’ which Ae says, ‘You know me? Are we friends?’ 

Pete stilled and was shock. Ae lost his memory. Memory of him.

Pete thought that this was a sign. That him Pete was not that important - truly important to Ae’s life.

Pete talks mostly to the one who knew about their relationship: Pond, Chaaim, Tin, and Can to promise that they will not talk about him to Ae. That Ae needs to have a new life without him. Pond, Chaaim and Can was against it so much. That Ae is whole with Pete, but Pete told them that Ae forgot him as a sign. And he wants Ae to have a normal life. Pete took Ae’s phone and erase all photos of him and messages. The one thing that his heart was not able to erase was his number save as ‘Ai Koon Chai’

Pete talks to his mother and told her that he will study at Thailand until the year is over but will transfer to another university. Explaining about Ae’s…

Pete’s mother respects his decision and cries with Pete… she knew how much Pete loves Ae but she also knew about the hardship of having a same sex relationship. She doesn’t want them separated, but if Pete thinks that this is for the best, then she will stood behind him, supports him and will do anything to help her only child.  

Pete looks from afar how Ae was welcome by his football team mates…

How Ae was riding his bike, that most of the time he was there and Ae will just pass him by…

How Ae will walk and curse at Pond at the end of the line, without him knowing he was there just walking behind him…

Ae waiting for the bus shuttle not knowing that he is just a few seats away from him at the bus shelter…

Ae eating with Pond, Ping and Bow at the Thai Program Canteen while he was a table away from him. Pete smiles sadly when Pond looks at him with eyes of worry. He only shook his head. Indicating not to say anything. 

He was also there silently cheering for Ae as he won another football game from another university…

Pete was also there when Ae smiles at Champoo for the very first time.

That was the last time he ever saw Ae. Pete’s father told him that he was accepted at Otto Beisheim School of Management or WHU Vallendar in German. 

Pete looks at his phone, the picture of him and Ae.

Putch, Pete’s mother hugs her son, ‘Pete… After your university, go back home here. Heal your heart there, let the memories be a good one. Don’t let the past cloud your judgement and your heart. We love you. I love you. Come back home to me baby…’

Pete board the plane without telling anyone about it.

Ae stares at the name save in his phone. ‘Ai Koon Chai.’ 

Ae knows everyone save in his phone, whether it be the number of the school registrar, Yim’s school, even the old number of their school. He knew every name aside from this one… ‘Ai Koon Chai.’

No matter how much he thinks about it, he doesn’t know anyone with that name, or why would he name it that way. He is not a complicated person and he names every contact inside his phone per their names. Pond. Ping. Bow. Techno. Type. Can. Good. Champ. Oh. Nut. He doesn’t give anyone a nickname cause it’s not his style.

Ai Koon Chai ~ again this name bothers him so much. Just staring at this royal title. He doesn’t know any noble men with manners or any rich friends, well Sun and Dear are rich compare to Pond and he most likely will never call Sun that - that second nosy bastard as Ai Koon Chai.

But those words keeps giving his heart a flutter. A sudden tightness inside of his heart, as if that name alone is the most precious thing in his life. 

Then the face of the most beautiful angel flash before his eyes.

He was not able to get the name of the beautiful man who hugs him and keeps on saying sorry to him at the hospital. He asked Pond and the others but they told him they don’t anyone that fits that description.

Once or twice he thought he saw that beautiful angel at school but whenever he turns there’s no one there. 

As if he was hallucinating, but for him, those are such beautiful hallucination.

He laughs, he jokes, and he continued his life but it feels that something is missing. Something… something a part of him was missing.

Then there’s this girl name Champoo who told her she’s her hero. He smiles cause what the hell was this kid was thinking. 

Champoo told him about how they met and how he become her hero. He just chuckles and shook his head. 

The little girl keeps on following him, he look at her like a kid sister and nothing more.

There’s something inside of him that desperately keeps on shouting and wanting to resurface.

He asked Pond time and time again and most of the time, Pond will look at him intently and shook his head, telling him, he must be dreaming.

Was it a dream?

Was this just an imagination?

Ae is in his 3rd year of college and yes still single when the news that Yim, Oh and Nut are returning home. Ae’s brother told him that he and his family needed to go back to Chiang Mai to take care of Nut’s parents. Now that Nut’s sister married, they told Nut and Oh to go back home. Ae is excited to see his favorite niece.

He welcome them and kisses Yim nonstop. But one name from Yim made his heart skip and a surge of pain clenches his heart, ‘Ar Ae… where is Ae Pete? I mis him so much.’

‘Pete…’ Nut and Oh told Ae that it was a classmate of Ae. He visited one time.

He was about to ask again when he heard Nut told Yim, ‘N’Yim… Ar Pete is no longer able to visit Ar Ae and N’Yim okay. Ar Pete is in a place far away from us.’

He asked everyone but no one knew about this Pete.

He went on with his life, Ae graduated and land a job and still thinks about the name Pete. 

The name that he cant help but feel so much emotion.

As if there’s a void inside of him.

Pete came back home to Thailand after 3 years in Germany.

He is now the Hotel Manager. 

‘Pete… can you please go to this office? I forgot that I have an appointment with the Senior Engineer about our new hotel,’ Putch asked her son sweetly. 

Pete – after 3 years change in a way that even her as the mother is awestruck. She knew her son is pretty. Like a very pretty good looking young man. The Pete in front of her is a very beautiful man. The same soft brown hair, cute chubby cheeks, red lips, tall slender body. But what change must be the doe eyes that’s always sad. ‘Yes Mae. Please let me know the address and who will I look for.’

‘Oh goodness! I forgot their name. But tell the reception that you have an appointment under our hotel name, they would know.’

Pete nodded and headed off to the Strudyna also known as Structural Dynamics Company, a renowned engineering and manufacturer of Stainless Steel Tensile Components for facade structures. Pete didn’t know that his mother chose a very high-end engineering company to take care of their new hotel.

Pete went inside the impressive office and was told by the receptionist to proceed to the 17th floor, there he was again instructed to wait inside a meeting room. 

Pete’s back was at the door and a sturdy deep voice greets him, ‘Good morning.’

Pete turns around and he gasped, the other person who greeted him too was struck.

‘Pete…’

‘Ae…’

They were staring for quite some time when the secretary of Ae entered and brought refreshments, before closing the door. Ae locked the door.

‘Hello. I’m sorry. I’m Intouch, the senior engineer handling the hotel structure, I was expecting Mrs-‘

‘I’m her son. Pitchaya.’

‘Oh.’

Both didn’t asked the other why they say the name ‘Ae’ and ‘Pete’

Pitchaya, he introduce himself as Pitchaya and not Pete. Ae stared at the glass window, looking down, he saw the beautiful man get inside his car and drives away. 

Tears. There were tears that flow from his eyes descending his face. He plays with the ring in his left finger. He took it out from his hand and look at the engraving inside ‘Ae & Pete ~ Forever in your Heart’

‘You came back… I won’t give you a chance to walk away from me anymore… I’m never goung to let go.’

From that day, Pete receives calls and messages from Intouch, asking for lunch, dinner, what is he doing, where is he, if work is hard… text messages and call from someone who seems to be dating.

Pete doesn’t know what to make of it.

Ae is already married and he will never break that marriage no matter how much he loves Ae.

Pond ask his stubborn friend, ‘What the hell Ae! Why are you not telling Pete that you remember everything?! Why the hell are you doing this? To punish him? Are you crazy? He did everything for you!’

‘No. I’m doing this to make him see and feel that no matter what, no matter what universe I will always remember him and will always love him. I want Pete to feel how much I love him.’

‘Idiot. Then take your ring out! Do you think that Pete will approach you with open arms thinking that you’re married.’

‘Then Pete should also know and he should remember… this was our ring. He has one – the exactly the same one.’
