Soobin is… different. Okay, he’s a know-it-all, obnoxious, socially-impaired lunatic who gets bored far too easily and gets into fights far too often (though, really, what does he expect when he goes around pointing out everyone’s secrets and talking crap about their mothers?)

Angel's review : Well...This is a story I'm going to remember for DAYS. WEEKS. MONTHS. (I'm not being dramatic, it is THAT good !). I don't want to forget anything about it. I hold onto Yeonjun's and Soobin's characters very dearly. The writing was stellar, the dialogues were top tier, it had the perfect amount of fluff, humor, mystery, suspense, thriller, angst. It made me laugh, it made me (ugly) cry. You will not expected this ending, for sure ! And you will definitely want more from this author (and they have a lot in store !!!). This fic is a masterpiece, it is perfect to read for fall season (or anytime). Please, please, please go read it !

do u know how long the isa angst fic is gonna be yet…

in chapters? unsure. i'm waffling on some later chapters (thinking of truncating/cutting some but on the fence) but. let's say more chapters than curtain call and less than inutile (so between 16 and 34). i'll definitely know the Number by the end of the week

in wordcount? probably like the 60-80k range? unless it gets out of hand?

also this is the true variable wordcount chapter fic, each chapter is one loop. so some of them end super early and some of them are big meaty ones. not EVERY single loop is represented but all of what i think are the important ones show up

also also um. every chapter is named by the loop it is and they are NOT being released linearly. i know exactly what happens in linear order but i'm still hammering down what Release Order they're going in. maximum pain order >:3

Now, there is no such thing as an AO3 wrapped (and, quite frankly, I’m thankful for that one) but here are some stats I found interesting from this year:

- My total 2022 wordcount came out to 151,227. That’s about 2 smallish novels, which I’m pretty proud of. 2022 has been by far my most productive year for fic, containing about 60% of my total words on AO3 (note that I say on AO3, not fanfiction in general, as I have unpublished fic that probably adds up to another 80k or so.)

- The largest and most popular fic from this year is, of course, The Phoenix and Other Early Birds, published from Oct 2021 to March 2022. This year’s numbers got a big boost from that (100k) fic already being mostly written.

- Everything else from this year is split between 5 fics, with far more series work than previous years - a sequel to the aforementioned tPaoEB, two linked fantasy au pieces that aren’t actually abandoned, I promise, as well as a Athena fic which is mostly abandoned (sorry).

- The one fic I wrote this year that is a standalone is one of my semi-regular adventures into super niche ships, and seemed to be enjoyed by the 2 people I was hoping would like it, which I count as a success. Don’t expect any more Marshallworth from me, but applications are open for whatever rarepair I will become briefly obsessed with in 2023.

- As for 2023, I already have a resolution for what I’m writing in the year ahead. Firstly, I plan to finally finish the apocryphal Franmaya fic. I know I’ve been saying this for years, but it’s getting there, if only at a rate of a thousand words or so every couple of months. Secondly, I have plans for more fantasy AU feat. Trucy! and maybe even a wedding!... There’s also a third fic in the Early Birds AU which is currently sitting at just under 40k, and should probably be finished. If I have any time left after those three, it’ll most likely be split between a Mia!Lives AU that I’ve had simmering for years and a Klapollo fic that I’ve been plotting and writing in-between other things. Watch this space!

All in all, a good year for fic, especially considering how much has been happening in my personal life (I graduated! I’ve had two different jobs! I moved house!) Thank you to everyone who has messaged or commented on my fic, and here’s hoping for an even better 2023!

Yep! the next chapter is def too much info that readers won't need, and might make people more confused. I'll set the extra bits as inline annotations (not published but kept part of the project files) in case they come in handy later. I'll try to get it posted tomorrow :)

In other news, the next adventure Kagome has to go on is going to be a rather fun (imo) short series. I'm super excited to be writing it!! I'm not sure how many parts it'll need to be broken into, but it's currently 11 planned scenes and will be way too long to put into a single posting.

Also, I started out with a target wordcount of like, 60 or 80k for the whole fic. I later had to bump that up to 160k. And today, I realized that with everything I still have left to write, 250k seems way more reasonable for a target. It might end up being a lot more than that u_u oh well. I guess, since this is the last one I have planned for this fanfic set, I guess the longer it adventures along, the more fun ??

That seems...doable? Terrifying, but doable. That's about 9k a month. I don't even know if I need that many words.

Angel's review : It's one of these stories that has such an intricate and mysterious plot that you cannot help but continue to read to unravel it. The setting of this fanfiction is top tier : there is a creepy sensation always lingering throughout your read that only stops at the end when suddendly everything makes sense. The reader is as clueless as Yoongi and we find things progressively, step by step, at the same time as this character. I promise it's not dark, graphic and horribly scary like some fanfictions I have recommended before, it's just unsettling and creepy (in a good way) (if that makes sense lol). For those who have watched the Netflix serie "Stranger Things", this will most likely be your new favorite read !

Angel's review : An amazing in-depth story about an unforgettable moment in Taejin history : the Pied Piper performances ! (These two are flirting so much on stage it's crazy) This fanfiction was a delight to read ! A perfect amount of angst, of self-doubt, of in-depth characterization, of fluff, of love that made me read everything in one go ! Seokjin and Taehyung are idiots but can also be vulnerable at times and it makes you want to give them a hug. This fanfiction goes straight into my favorite Taejin fanfictions ! If you love Taejin and their undying love for each other, I hope you'll give this one a try !

Angel's review : This Rock Band AU was EVERYTHING. It was really immersive thanks to the social media insertions. I loved to have the point of view of both the rock band and the fans on the "relationship" between Taehyung and Seokjin. Also...Seokjin being the FRONTMAN/LEAD SINGER (+ main songwriter AND producer) of the band ??? THAT was amazing !!! It served Seokjin's talent so well ! With this fanfiction, he gets the recognition he deserves. The concert scenes were also really written, it felt like I was right there, screaming the songs along with the fans. If you want a fun story to read with great characterization, amazing concert moments, pining, angst and love...look no further ! It's right here !
