My skin now in flames

My heads a hurricane

He didn’t expect to have to handle this

He didn’t sign up for this crisis

This isn’t a simple mess

His hand on my cheek is pretend

The devil is a woman tonight

But after tonight I’ve gotta let him go from my mind

Better to be solo

When walking this road

I can’t bring him along

Besides, you never hear of the devil being in love with anyone

I wish the world and especially schools had more acceptance for all kinds of people and more respect for everyone's individuality. I wish adults modeled that for us kids to learn the same. I do have some good memories too (will probably write about them in another post). I'm very grateful to know some people I met in school. They have been genuinely kind and loving to me. 🌼 I'll miss the building, I'll miss the routine. School had become a habit, and habits are hard to do away with. But a major part of my memories of school are the ones that I didn't deserve. But they’ll always remain with me. "What do you want then?", He asked.

Someone to hold hands with while walking inside the movie hall in the dark; someone who would cover me up because the summer sun is shining way too hard; Someone who would pour a glass of water when I choke while eating my favorite dish; Someone to kiss on my forehead and say "God! You're such a kid"; Someone who understand even my stupidest reflex. Someone who could make my "always overworked out head" relax. Someone to share my not so important daily life events; because everything I would share– that someone will turn it all into something amazing.

I don't wish for something special. I want everything ordinarily beautiful with someone I can call special.

There was no do you want this

No are you okay

As if having sex meant as little as buying me a coffee

You did not care that it might have meant more to me

There was no "does it feel okay"

Whilst you simply destroyed my dignity

To you I am not a woman

To you I am simply an object of your desire

While I, feeling more undesirable than ever before

Because no, I'm not okay

I am simply piecing together this entire night

And now I can see it

How on earth did I miss it

Talking about our childhoods and how similar they were

It wasn't conversation

It was all just a plan

Your plan all along

You weren't simply being kind

There was never going to be a date

Instead you loured me

All the way to this bed

And now I know

After this night I won't see you again

I hate to think it

But I simply cannot ignore it

I question is there a fault with me

Maybe I'm not pretty

It must be my body

Maybe I'm only ever for one night

Sex may have no meaning for you

But that does not give you the right

To take its meaning from me

So the next time maybe ask her

Questions like do you want this

Are you okay

And if she consents

That doesn't mean you shouldn't ask her if it feels okay

“God works in mysterious ways, and who am I to question? Sometimes our journey appears bleak, and we may doubt our path; tears may fall, and your heart may weap. In difficult situations, it is normal to feel unsure, and concern is typical too. What my faith journey teaches me is that fear and anxiety are often misplaced, and in the absence of fear, you can think and discover clarity. Some may experience quietness, and onlookers may say it is shock, but what if what we interpret as a shock, is the Holy Spirit’s comforting presence? I choose faith over fear, mindfulness instead of chaos, and I am trusting God to make daily miracles and blessings. If you are a prayer warrior, I ask that you send a prayer my way.
