hi! if you’re still taking requests, could i please have some too fluff wih chan?? mb where the reader comforts him after a tough day or something like that. i was thinking prompts like 6/16/37 from the fluff list, but you don’t have to use them~ thank you and keep up the good work!
Ofc :) And yes we're still taking requests Hope you like it
Since a gender wasn't specified, I just went with a female reader - Summer
Tumblr media
Requested?: yes
Idol: Chanhyuk
Group: TOO
Genre: fluff, kinda sorta angsty, female reader
Warnings: the gif is not mine :) dm for credits/removal, sad Chan, non-idol Chan
“You should probably go home.” “But I’m already home.” “Can you just please hold me?”  “You’re just a softie.”
When you first met Chan, you hardly even noticed him. You were in the elevator together on the way to to an interview - trying to get an office job at a cooperate office. There were at least three other people with you, so you weren’t really looking around at them. After all, they were the enemies that could prevent you from getting your job.
There were three spots open and you and Chan got two of them. Since you were both new, the seniors piled a lot of requests upon you. Noticing each other in the same spot, you smiled and introduced yourselves to one another, promising to help whenever you could.
And that’s how it started. You and Chan began to have lunches together and even spend time together outside of work. He became your closest friend, and, not soon after, your boyfriend.
He was a cool and fun boyfriend. He’d always try to come up with places to go with you, even though most times you just stayed in the house and watched TV together. Your relationship was filled with love and expressed and overall relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
That’s why when he recently became stressed and quite visibly frustrated, you were saddened to notice. You knew Chanhyuk wasn’t the type to freely express his concerns but you also wanted to be there for him.
Days had gone by before you had enough of taking a back seat to his problems. Approaching him slowly as he sat in his home office, you placed a hand on his back and slowly ran it up and down.
“Hey, babe. Are you okay? You’ve been stressed lately. What’s going on?” you asked, hoping he’d give in quickly but received nothing but silence.
After about a minute of the concerning quiet, your boyfriend sat up and looked at you. “Nothing’s wrong, Princess, I’m just not feeling my best right now.” He reached across his chest to place his hand on yours that was now at the top of his back, motions ceased as your mind was far too concerned with other things to bother keeping it mechanical.
You looked up at his computer screen to notice the amount of tabs open filled with long documents. It was a lot more than you had ever seen on his desktop before. “Hey,” you began, soothingly, “is something going on at work?”
His exasperated sigh was enough of an indication that you were right. “Aish. You’re getting way too observant. I can’t keep things from you anymore.”
“Just things I’ve picked up after spending so much time with you, babe. That looks like a lot. Let’s take a break together, yeah?” you smiled, hoping to get one back, but Chan turned back to his computer with a saddened expression.
“I can’t, babe. I have to finish this.” His hand fell off of yours and returned to his keyboard. “I don’t want you waiting up for me. You should probably go home.”
“But I’m already home... You are my home, Chanhyuk. And I can’t leave it in such a bad state.” you said, moving behind him and wrapping your arms around him from behind the chair.
And that was enough for him. He gave in and held your hands tight against his chest. “Okay, let’s take a break.”
You grabbed his hand and walked with him into his room as you laid under the covers and enjoyed each other’s presence. You noticed him slowly relaxing and smiled.
“I’m gonna go get some snacks, okay? Do you want something?” you asked, slowly lifting up from the mattress. He grabbed your arm and shook his head. “I don’t want snacks. Can you just... please... hold me?”
Your heart melted and you couldn’t resist grabbing and holding your boyfriend tight in your arms, like all the times he had done the same for you when you were having a bad day. “You’re just a softie.” you sighed, content with just being with him.
“Only for you, Princess. Only for you.”

Weirdo - Kim Je You
Pairing: Jeyou x reader
Words: 670
Warnings: none pure fluff
Masterlist
Tumblr media
It was a typical Monday, you were hanging out with your stupid boyfriend also known as J.You from TOO. Dating him was like dating a 4 year old. He needed you at every time of the day, that’s also why he always send you messages when you aren’t together.
But you loved him regardless even though you never told him that. But right now you two were in the kitchen making food. Well at least you were and he was having a dance party next to you. You looked at him while making his food. When you ere done you put it on a plate and walked to him. He immediately stopped dancing and sat down to eat the food. You giggled at him. He tried to  wink at you. “Ew babe never do that again.” You said while laughing “ah come on. I just tried to be cool for you.” “You are already my boyfriend you don’t have to try anymore.” He giggled with food in his mouth.
After this you decided to watch some tv. You were getting kind of bored but Jeyou seemed to like what you were watching. You decided to poke his cheek. “Ya Y/N.” He said but kept his focus on the tv. At the lack of affection you started tickling him. When you were done you ran away and he ran after you. You two ran around the dorm like crazy people. Jeyou was really trying his best to capture you. You ran into his room jumping around a pair of shoes that was on the ground. Jeyou on the other hand didn’t see them so when he ran into the room he tripped over them.
When he fell to the ground you first looked at him if he was okay, but after you heard him groaning you couldn’t hold your laugher. You couldn’t stop laughing at him. He was already standing again but you were still laughing. “ya babe how are you laughing when your boyfriend is hurting.” This made you calm down a little bit but you were still smiling. “now I can say you literally fell for me.” And you started laughing again.
Jeyou on the other hand started to pout. He was sad that he couldn’t capture you and fell. He sat on one of the bottom bunks. When you finally stopped laughing, you realised you made your boyfriend kind of sad. “oh I’m so sorry baby I didn’t mean to upset you.” He looked at you and walked to his bed. He sat down and looked at you. Then he played down on his bed. His back was facing you and you weren’t certain what you would do.
You decided that cuddling him was the best idea so you climbed on his bed and cuddled him. His back was against you chest. He turned around and put his arms around you. “I can’t stay mad at you. But next time don’t laugh so hard please.” “I understand baby. Next time I won’t, I hate to see you upset especially because of me.” He smiled and pulled you against his chest. “You were right about one thing baby.” He said and it made you look at him. “What?” “That I have really fallen for you.” You giggled into his chest. “I love you Y/N” he said and you looked at him shocked.
“Was it to early, It was ri-“ he was stopped mid sentence because you gave him a kiss. “It wasn’t too early, I just was surprised. But I love you too dummy.” He was relieved after you said that and smiled at you. He brushed hair out or you face and he looked at you. “stop staring, take a picture it lasts longer.” You said but you didn't expect him to actually take his phone out and take a picture. “You are so weird.” You told him. And he started laughing “But you still love me though.”

We understand that the essay procedure is not a simple procedure (unless you drop one “s” and switch the other … bad joke?). So it’s our satisfaction to show you some essays penned by current candidates to Tufts– essays that stuck to us, essays that mattered.
What we like about these pieces is that they catch the distinct voices of the applicants. Some were conversational, some sarcastic, some compellingly serious– but they all created a powerful human connection with us: the readers. – Princeton University likewise saw a cycle for the record books: It only accepted about 6 percent of its 31,000 applicants.
These numbers are NOT indicated to dissuade you. College admissions has always been competitive and remains competitive. College Preparation Guides: Writing an A+ Admissions Essay
Admission Essay Help
You have actually taken the tests, requested the recommendations, completed the typical app, and now it’s finally time to refocus on what you’ve been postponing: the essay. While most trainees invest days, sometimes weeks, refining their individual statements, admissions officers just spend about 3 to five minutes really reading them, inning accordance with Jim Rawlins, director of admissions at the University of Oregon. High school elders are confronted with the obstacle of summarizing the last 17 years into 600 words, all while showcasing their “distinct” personality against thousands of other candidates. ” It’s tough to discover a balance in between sounding professional and wise without utilizing all of those long words,” states Lily Klass, a senior at Milford High School in Milford, Mass. “I’m having difficulty reflect myself without sounding arrogant or rude or anything like that.”
The following suggestions will assist candidates make the leap from ‘typical’ to ‘accepted’:.
Open with an anecdote.
Considering that the admissions officers only invest a quick quantity of time evaluating stories, it’s essential that you engage them from the very start. ” Rather of trying to come up with gimmicky, memorable first lines, start by sharing a moment,” says Janine Robinson, composing coach and creator of Essay Hell. “These mini stories naturally get the reader … it’s the best way to actually involve them in the story.”. Let the moment you choose be exposing of your personality and character. Describe how it shaped who you are today and who you will be tomorrow.
Put yourself in the school’s position.
At the end of the day, colleges want to accept someone who is going to graduate, succeed worldwide and have actually the university connected with that success. In your essay, it is crucial that you present yourself as somebody who loves to discover, can think seriously and has a passion for things– anything. ” Colleges always state to reveal your intellectual vitality and interest,” Robinson states. “They want kids who are going to strike the ground running– zoom to class and right out into the world. They desire them hungry and self-aware. how, Do not Inform.
Don’t just specify a truth to obtain a concept across, such as “I like to surround myself with people with a range of backgrounds and interests.”. Do include particular details, examples, reasons and so on to develop your ideas. For the example above, describe a scenario when you were surrounded by numerous types of people. Exactly what were you doing? Whom did you talk with? What did you eliminate from the experience?
Use Your Own Voice.
Do not count on phrases or ideas that individuals have actually utilized many times previously. These might consist of declarations like, “There is a lot suffering worldwide that I feel I have to assist individuals.” Prevent extremely formal or business-like language, and do not use unnecessary words. Do compose in your own voice. For the above example, you could write about a genuine experience that you had and how it made you feel you had to act. And note that admission officers will be able to inform if your essay was edited by a grownup.
Ask an Instructor or Moms and dad to Proofread.
Do not turn your essay in without proofreading it, and don’t rely just on your computer system’s spell checker to capture errors. A spell-check program will miss out on typos like these: Personal declarations show the admissions committees at graduate schools, medical schools, law schools, and other expert programs that you are more than simply a collection of grades and ratings. Do not miss your possibility to make your application remarkable in a positive way.
Informing Your Story to Colleges.
So what does set you apart?
You have a special background, interests and personality. This is your opportunity to tell your story (or a minimum of part of it). The best method to inform your story is to write a personal, thoughtful essay about something that has significance for you. Be honest and genuine, and your special qualities will shine through. Admissions officers need to check out an amazing number of college essays, most of which are forgettable. Many trainees aim to sound clever instead of seeming like themselves. Others discuss a subject that they do not care about, but that they think will impress admissions officers. You don’t need to have started your own organisation or have invested the summertime hiking the Appalachian Trail. Colleges are just searching for thoughtful, motivated students who will add something to the first-year class.
Usage Your Voice and Natural Language.
Utilizing a thesaurus to throw in unnecessarily big works frequently ends up looking rather cumbersome and uncomfortable. This is particularly the case if they are words that you do not generally utilize. This does not mean that you should compose really delicately, but do let your very own voice come through in the writing. Make it simple for the other person to read and connect to your writing.
Make it Interesting.
The most crucial thing that you can do when composing your college application essay is to be yourself! Don’t write what you believe the college desires you to say. Be authentic, thoughtful, in-depth, and, most significantly, reveal something about yourself that the admissions office would not otherwise know from the rest of your application. The function of the essay is to help colleges be familiar with you better. In addition to the conventional personal statement, colleges might likewise utilize more targeted triggers that specifically ask you to blog about your desired significant, why you wish to participate in that specific college, and more. Again, in these essays it’s imperative that you’re detailed and provide specific examples, however also stay real to yourself and your objectives. Here are some terrific resources on college application essays to help you get a head start on your writing this summer season.

Writing Prescriptions to Play Outdoors
By Perri Klass, M.D., NY Times, July 16, 2018
In his 2005 book, “Last Child in the Woods,” Richard Louv wrote about what he called nature-deficit disorder, and cited about 60 scientific studies looking at the benefits of nature and the problems that can come from being too isolated from the natural world. Today, Mr. Louv said, there are more than 700 studies (abstracts can be found on the website of the Children and Nature Network, of which Mr. Louv is the co-founder).
Dr. Robert Zarr, a pediatrician at Unity Health Care in Washington, D.C., was inspired by hearing Mr. Louv speak at an American Academy of Pediatrics meeting and then by reading his book. Dr. Zarr is the founder and medical director of Park Rx America, a nonprofit that encourages doctors to prescribe parks; for some states, the website allows a doctor to search for parks near a family’s home address, or with particular available amenities, and write a specific prescription, with the name of the park, the activity, the duration, the frequency.
“I do at least one a day or more, I really let the patient write it,” Dr. Zarr said. The two most common scenarios, he said, are overweight children and stressed-out, anxious and depressed teenagers. “Is there anything they want to do that’s enjoyable outside, that they’re willing to commit to?” For example, “you just told me you play soccer. How often do you go? Would you be willing to commit to going once a week or twice a week?”
The idea of prescribing parks is “probably more common sense than rocket science,” Dr. Zarr said, but it is also based in the expanding scientific literature that shows that spending time outdoors is good for physical and mental health.
Much of that literature focuses on adults, he said, with population studies showing that closer proximity to nature is connected to positive effects on a wide range of health issues from obesity, hypertension and diabetes to depression and anxiety, and many more, though much of the research is still preliminary.
There are some studies on children to suggest that unstructured outside play can be very helpful for some children with ADHD, and researchers have considered both the effect of green space and nature exposure and also physical activity.
Mr. Louv’s new book, “Vitamin N,” offers activities for parents, communities and schools. When he was growing up, he said, it was normal for children to go outside and play. Nowadays, for both children and adults, that time outside is even more essential, he said, because “nature experience is particularly good at resting the brain from the burnout of looking at screens all the time.”
In recent years, he said, parents’ awareness of the health benefits of nature for their children has actually increased, though they tend to be less familiar with the research about cognitive benefits. But the barriers are still there, particularly, he said, a fear of letting children explore nature.
Independent play is especially important, and especially worrisome for parents. “Parents are scared to death,” he said, whether of “stranger danger” or of physical injury. But “small risks are opportunities to build more resilient kids,” he said; if a child is in danger of falling out of a tree because of poor upper body strength, “don’t tear down the tree; build up the kid.”
On the other hand, Mr. Louv said, “I don’t dismiss parents who feel that fear; I felt it too.” Parents today are probably going to be accompanying their children more and hovering a little closer, but they shouldn’t feel the need to be all-knowing experts. “In a way, parents who don’t know the names of all the plants and animals are better off,” he said, because they are learning with their children, and can feel the same sense of wonder.
And of course, as a pediatrician, I need to add certain safety reminders: tick protection, sun protection, helmets when you bicycle or ride your scooter.
“Clearly there are going to be risks, but the risks of not going outdoors and continuing the pattern of 90 percent indoors is going to kill us,” said Captain Sarah Newman, the director of the office of public health for the National Park Service.
“I’d like to say to parents that we have probably the most cost effective and accessible opportunity to keep your kids healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle,” Captain Newman said. “It could be the best thing you do for your kids.” She cited the dangers of extensive screen time for children, along with childhood obesity. “Take advantage of the many parks you have that are accessible--look it up, find your nearest, hike, go every single weekend, instill it in your kids.”
Dr. María Cristina Rueda-González, a pediatrician in private practice in Chevy Chase, Md., had previously worked with Dr. Zarr with his urban health center population. In the more affluent population where she now practices, “the majority of kids are in a lot of organized sports,” she said, so they don’t lack for exercise. But the two populations have a common problem, Dr. Rueda-González said: “At the end of the day they’re both nature deficient.”
In her current practice, she said, “some parents have been confused as to why I am talking about parks--they’re already doing physical activity.” But exercise is not the only issue. “You don’t get the exposure to nature and just being outside in nature which you would in a park or going hiking,” she said. “It’s very structured, you do get physical exercise but you don’t get much of a break.”
The children may be hurrying from one activity to another, they may be spending hours glued to screens, but either way “they aren’t experiencing nature like we all should be,” Dr. Rueda-González said, in a way that “would make them happier and healthier.”

“I can’t smile at you, I’m mad.”
“Just five more minutes.”
“Where did you get the flowers from?”
“Alright, let’s make a deal.”
“You’re so easily distracted.”
“Cooking is an art form.”
“Are you a witch?”

"I can’t believe we’re friends sometimes.”
“How was I supposed to know?”
“This fits perfectly.”
“Stay there. I’m on my way.”
“Let’s get some ice cream.” [seonghwa]
“The feeling is mutual.”
“Does this make sense to you?”
“I’m just so tired.”
“Do I really want to know?”
“I volunteer myself to go last.”
“Your handwriting is atrocious.”
“This whole thing is a mess.”

you can check out my masterlist here and my actual guideline post here. i can’t guarantee how often they’ll be written about or for which member. i’m kinda iffy just because i write when i feel the mood for unless i get requests or something and i can do that. (you can see how it’s reflected in my masterlist, but i will try to do my best as possible) so yeah happy requesting!

Umbrella
Pairing: WORLD KLASS’ Lim x OC [Seul] Genre: school!au, slice of life, slight fluff Word Count: 548 Summary: Seul forgot her umbrella and Lim happens to be around and would like to share his with hers.
Warning: none
okay, another idea thanks to the prompt thing. and so like, i dunno how this will be and so i’ve written this in hopes of all the trainees being able to debut. my first story will be of Lim! he caught mine and my sister’s eye at KCON’LA and great interested in the boys! just wishing all the best for them. other than that, i have no idea how to actually tag them so i did it the way i can think of it is lol so yeah, but um, happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
Seul slowly gathered up her things as she had double checked her notes for class and wanted to make sure she had written everything down. She bid goodbye to her friends who left first and was one of the few lagging behind. Seul wasn't in a hurry to leave as this was her last class of the day. She also didn't have work and so today she could just relax for the rest of it. Humming softly, Seul swung her blue tote bag over her shoulder and made her way out of class. Just as she opened the door and stepped outside of the room she was surprised that it had begun to rain. She frown as she hadn't brought an umbrella nor did the forecaster said it was going to rain.
"Seriously?" She mumbled to herself annoyed. "Of all days, it had to be today where I didn't bring my umbrella."
Seul sighed while gazing up at the grey skies and around her. There were no one else around which made her curious as people usually were out and about. Was she the only one that somehow didn't get the memo that it was gonna rain today? She shook the thoughts away as she wondered if she should make a mad dash across campus and chance a little rain before waiting it out inside the library or cafeteria.
"What should I do?" She asked herself while pulling her phone from her bag. "Should I call Yeon to pick me up?"
Seul let out another sigh while putting her phone away. Her sister was probably still at work and so didn't want to bother her about something like this. Absentmindedly staring at the scenery before her Seul wasn't aware that someone had joined her as she was lost in thought. It wasn't until the person got her attention by lightly tapping on her shoulder. Seul jerked upright before facing to her left and saw that it was a male student in her year that she had one class with.
"Oh, sorry, hi." She greeted him sheepishly. "Lim, right?"
Lim smiled as he nodded in confirmation. His gazed turned towards the drizzling scene before him before glancing at Seul again.
"Did you forget to bring an umbrella, perhaps, Seul?" Lim asked Seul as she nodded. "Yeah. Did you?"
He shook his head with a small smile while lifting an umbrella with his left hand.
"Would you like to share it with me?" Lim asked with a soft tone although he had averted his gaze from Seul.
Seul tilted her head out of curiosity. She's only ever spoken to Lim a handful of times and he usually hung out with his friends so she never saw him alone until now. Lim mistaken her silence as rejection and backed away embarrassed.
"Ah, sorry. I didn't mean, well, I wasn't trying..." He trailed off not sure how to express himself.
Seul chuckled at his behavior before clarifying his misunderstanding.
"Sorry, but I was just wondering why you wanted to share your umbrella with me and how come you're not with your friends right now."
"Ah, I just happened to be alone and it's because you don't have an umbrella, too."
Seul regarded Lim curiously with a small smile.
"I'm sure there's more to that though, right?"
Lim let out an embarrassed laugh while facing away from Seul.
"Is it that obvious?"
"Kinda, but it's cute. Do you, perhaps, have a crush on me?"
Lim awkwardly laughed before bringing up the umbrella and opening it to hide his embarrassment at having been caught.
"I don't know when the rain will settled, but if you like I can walk you to the station."
"I would love that. Thank you, Lim."
Seul took him on his offered as Lim held out the umbrella for the both of them to share and to stay underneath together.

What Happens When Parents Are Rude in the Hospital
By Perri Klass, M.D., NY Times, Feb. 27, 2017
The neonatal intensive care unit is a place full of tiny, vulnerable and critically ill infants; fearful and anxious parents; and busy doctors and nurses working to save lives. But if a parent of a sick baby says something rude to the medical staff, the quality of care might suffer, a new Israeli study suggests.
“We weren’t looking at angry parents, we were looking at rude parents,” said Dr. Peter Bamberger, a study co-author and the associate dean for research at Coller School of Management at Tel Aviv University. The study used the kind of simulated crisis scenarios that are commonly performed to help medical staff practice, using actor “parents” and a realistic plastic baby “patient.” And the rude “mother” in the study said, loud enough for the staff to hear: “I knew we should have gone to a better hospital where they don’t practice Third World medicine.”
“It wasn’t anything horrible,” Dr. Bamberger said. “They weren’t going ballistic, they weren’t violent. They just said things that weren’t so pleasant for doctors to hear.”
But even such mild unpleasantness was enough to affect doctors’ and nurses’ medical skills. Individual performance and teamwork deteriorated to the point where diagnostic skills, procedural skills and team communication were impaired and medical errors were more likely, compared to control scenarios in which the mother would just say something general about being worried. The team’s ability to perform in critical medical situations with sick babies was affected for the rest of the day, the findings suggest.
“At the level of the team, it really hampers all the function,” said Dr. Arieh Riskin, the director of the neonatal intensive care unit at Bnai Zion Medical Center in Haifa and the lead author of the study, which was published in the journal Pediatrics. “All the collaborative mechanisms and things that make a team a team, rather than four individuals working separately, were damaged by the exposure to rudeness.”
Dr. Riskin said rudeness has long been part of medical culture, whether between senior doctors and trainees, or between surgeons and nurses in the operating room.
“The whole medical profession has a lot of hierarchy and people saying things they shouldn’t to each other,” Dr. Riskin said. “We started being interested in, what does it do to us as human beings having to take care of patients.”
An earlier simulation study that he and his colleagues conducted and published in 2015 looked at the effect of a rude comment made by a senior doctor on the functioning of NICU teams. The teams knew they were being assessed by an American expert; in some of the simulations, Dr. Riskin said, that observer made a derogatory remark about medicine in Israel: “Just something like, ‘Teams like the ones I have seen here in Israel wouldn’t last a week in my department.’”
After such a comment, the teams performed significantly worse in the simulated patient emergencies. Their diagnostic skills deteriorated, and so did their technical procedural abilities, from ventilating and resuscitating the artificial babies properly to ordering and giving the right medications. Both doctors and nurses tended to perform worse individually. They also worked less effectively as teams, as far as communicating and helping one another take care of the sick “patient.”
Dr. Bamberger, a co-author on that earlier study as well, said that many of the physicians weren’t even conscious that someone had been rude. “It was very mild incivility that people experience all the time in every workplace; things slip out that maybe shouldn’t slip out.” But in response to even mild rudeness, he said, people need to expend cognitive resources deciding whether they are in a threatening situation, and whether the threat is going to get worse; those concerns can draw cognitive resources away from the task at hand, and teamwork suffers.
The findings are consistent with earlier studies of rude behavior in other workplace environments, which have shown that even mild rudeness can have a potentially big impact. In both of the NICU studies, the effects on performance were significant; rudeness explained more error than the levels of error that have been shown to result from sleep deprivation.
Both studies were done in Israel, but the impact of rudeness does not seem to be culturally bound, a concern that was raised in the initial study design. “Israelis are not deemed to be the most polite people in the world; they say what’s on their mind,” Dr. Bamberger said. “The evidence suggests that even in a somewhat rude society, it still has an effect.”
Everyone working in the NICU understands that parents are under tremendous stress and cannot necessarily be expected to demonstrate good manners at all times. But it’s critical for the members of the medical team to be aware of the risk and to acknowledge the problem, Dr. Riskin said, in order to help protect one another and deliver optimal care.
“We are human beings; we are affected by rudeness.”
