Now a fun fact about the pants I'm wearing in that Trickster photo is, those are my only pants I have in a color commentary to the ringmaster ensemble I was going for. Unfortunately, they're also my loungin' pants, worn around the house in dozens of splayed, contorted sitting positions that resulted in heavy structural damage to the stitching on the inner thighs. To avoid something deeply stupid happening at the con, and in the absence of any meaningful sewing skill, I had the bright idea to patch the gashes using some duct tape- applied from the inside of the pants, in order to minimize the visibility of the repairs. Now, at first this worked great. But what I failed to take into account is that it's actually quite hot in convention halls, and the patch job was in an area where that's felt quite acutely. End result being that any time I sat down for any length of time the tape would start to melt and fuse to the skin of my thighs. Any time I took too long of a stride I'd receive the european treatment. Any time I sat down the tape would remelt and the process would begin anew. All in all amounting to a cycle of public agonized writhing not dissimilar to when Don Henley and his crew went to town on Prometheus

Cpericardium and Maroon Sweater saw me at the convention in Anime Boston and their first instinct was to beat me with sticks.

Once I introduced myself, they apologized, and hit me twice as hard

Had a great time at Supanova Melbourne yesterday, every time I go to a con I'm just blown away by all the talent and craftsmanship on show with the cosplays and the artist alley.

Shoutout to the very friendly Gideon Nav, and the people at the AO3 booth with the fanfic rec board, absolutely lovely folks.
