Summer 2018

Coming home from Medical school had been a tough adjustment! Work wasn’t panning out so I turned back to SA! I’ve met so many people who were more than interesting. I had the best date in my life!!! But also two of the worst sexual experiences in my life.

I’ve been so put off by the men on the site that I’ve taken a small break! It’s upsetting that someone would be so different then their profile pictures. Like 300 lbs different.

Worst Date

It was a Saturday night and my sister was getting ready for a date. She had liked this guy for a while and I was almost more excited for her than she was. I helped her get ready and talked her through her nerves. Finally, she was ready. The door-bell rang and he was here. They quickly left to make their movie, and I eagerly waited for her to come back and tell me how it went. A few hours later, I heard the door open and I told her to spill. Her smile disappeared. Then she let out a big sigh and began the story.

She told me that everything was going great before they got to the theater. During the movie, she got up to go to the bathroom and accidentally went through the emergency exit. By the time she realized, the door was already locked shut. She was stuck in an alley and had no idea how to get back. When she eventually found the entrance to the theater, they wouldn’t let her back in without a ticket. So, she waited for her date to come out. Finally, the movie ended and he ran into her at the exit. She had a lot of explaining to do. Although he didn’t quite understand what happened, he still took her home. Lets just say it was an awkward drive back.

To this day, she claims it was the worst date she’s ever been on. After all, she was practically gone for all of it.

I'm posting again today cause I've got a story to tell...I hinted at a link between Monster Truck Wheels and high heels making me partial to the #genderreveal party theme on Saturday. You wanted to hear it so here we go: . It's Valentine's Day and my sweet hubs tells me to dress up. So I do. New dress, faux fur coat and hat, high heels, and pearls. But, instead of the fancy dinner and concert that I expected, what do we do?? He takes me to eat pizza and watch a monster truck show!! I've never had so many people stare at me in my entire life! . I could have been disappointed and angry 😡but instead I can't remember laughing more than we did together that night. Monster trucks are actually pretty awesome cause they do this {swipe} and this {swipe}. It might have been a terrible idea for Valentines but it ended as a great night. And gave me a pretty good story to tell! 6 Worst Date Ideas For Men

So, you’ve matched with a beautiful gem. She is attractive, funny, and sweet. You’ve been messaging back and forth, and now it’s time to meet in person. If there’s one thing that will turn a hot crush into “meh”, it’s a boring or awkward date. There are unlimited options to showcase your interest and creativity when planning a first date.  Keep in mind; you’re probably not the only man pining after her so be sure to impress her.

A first date should always be fun and exciting and something that you both have interest in. Since you have been communicating before a meeting, be sure to find out what she likes that way you can create a date that is super enjoyable and leaves a positive lasting impression. Activity dates are the best because it creates a fun atmosphere, lowers the pressure and creates a shared experience right off the bat. Guys, this isn’t the time to be basic. The goal of a first date is to get a second one. Don’t drop the ball and ruin this first impression opportunity by choosing a boring date!

Here are some dates NOT to suggest:

Dinner dates.

I find these are the worst date ideas ever. I understand somewhere along the line, someone decided this was the “norm” for a first date, but they’re wrong. I know it may seem sweet; however, it’s a recipe for disaster. It’s too much too soon! This is the job interview for no job setting.  I can guarantee at some point there will be the awkward silence. Sitting across from one another, staring at each other, forcing conversation while interviewing one another will turn that once shared spark into a mediocre at best impression. Save this for a 4th date onwards.

Coffee/Meet for a drink

This is everything that’s wrong with modern dating today. Coffee or “grabbing a drink” represents a lack of investment – and this is the issue! It’s unimaginative and much like the “dinner date” it relates to the job interview process where applicants are lined up on these dates like potential employees and allowing half an hour to ‘assess’ whether someone fits your dating standards. It doesn’t make a woman feel special!

Movies

This is the perfect date if you don’t want to learn a single thing about one another. It’s counterproductive. The movie might be great and one that you both wanted to see, but it will detract from the whole point of the date - for you to get to know each other, experience each other’s personalities and flirt!

At Home

This was cute in high school when there weren’t a ton of options available. However, as an adult, it demonstrates that you are not interested enough in her to think of something fun to do together. It is putting the littlest effort into her as you could!

A Wedding

Weddings are special events where people who love each other invite everyone else they love to share with them their commitment to one another. A wedding date is a nice gesture, and it’s a very romantic setting but save this for further along in the relationship. First dates can be awkward as it is, don’t escalate it and have your partner looking for the nearest escape route because you met the day before and you don't even know each other’s last name.

Out with Friends

There's no better way to tell her you feel "meh" about her. Instead, create some one on one time by planning a shared experience activity date and leave the bros at home. There’s many fish in the sea. You have one chance to make a great first date.

How embarrassing

Last night I went on a POT date with this self proclaimed “rich” 28 year old. He works for his family business managing properties…. turns out he simply looks after the property and lives in one of the apartments. Worth $5 million my ass. Here’s the story: I arrived late to dinner in my work clothes (Classy black slacks, a flashy turtle neck, fossil watch, statement necklace, diamond earrings, etc ) because I got out 30 mins late and didn’t have time to change. As I bend down to tie my heels up I see this man across the street…. he was dressed in white sneakers my grandmother would wear to mow the lawn. His shorts were whatever and he had on the most plain t shirt. What kind of date outfit is that?!? After one of the worst dates ever, I head to the bathroom and he pays. When I get back the server comes over to the table and hands the bill to me aha!!!!! He seemed to be so distraught about the situation. I definitely seemed like the more mature and women in charge. My Worst Date

We’ve probably all had horrible dates in our past and maybe yours are even worse than mine... i’m not bragging. I just think I’ve got really really bad luck when it comes to dates because they always go wrong and it’s not because of me.... just sayin.

I think my worst date was probably when it was a surprise to me that it was even a date at all. I mean it was my fault because he did say, “It’s a date”, but you know when you just take things as a joke... that was one of those times.

So that’s the first thing that went wrong, I didn’t even think it was an actual date. He had also ordered nachos with extra cheese... you can already tell it was gonna be a messy night. The lady kept shooting him attitude and he looked so embarrassed, I should’ve helped but I just stood there like a bitch... oh well.

So then when we got back, he spilt the extra cup of cheese all over his car floor.. and then his drink 20 minutes later, which had gotten on me. When the movie finally started, he tried to hold my hand but I quietly said, “No thanks”.

Like said, you’ve probably had worst experiences but this is just mine.
