CAN YOU WRITE #10Kin1Day?

You know the drill: on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 I will be streaming on Twitch all day, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM the next day, in order to knock out 10,000 words of my NaNoWriMo project. Come write, chat, co-work, and try to hit 10,000 words—or your own personal crazy goal—before time's up.

Yes, I have done this before, and it is physically possible. In theory. Come by! Prospective sprint schedule below the cut; all times are in PST.

Notes: All grey boxes signify times when I will be completely away from the stream to allow for a modicum of privacy. Bathroom breaks will happen whenever; meals will happen at scheduled hours. All plans subject to change as the day goes on!

"what did students do before chatgpt?" well one time i forgot i had a history essay due at my 10am class the morning of so over the course of my 30 minute bus ride to school i awkwardly used by backpack as a desk, sped wrote the essay, and got an A on it.

six months later i re-read the essay prior to the final exam, went 'ohhhh yeah i remember this', got a question on that topic, and aced it.

point being that actually doing the work is how you learn the material and internalize it. ChatGPT can give you a short cut but it won't build you the the muscles.

Another thing about the New Hampshire primary.

The reason Biden is not on the primary ballot in New Hampshire despite being the incumbent and overwhelming frontrunner, and the reason New Hampshire's delegates will not be counted in the Democratic Convention, is a dispute between the Democratic Party's new primary schedule, which places South Carolina and Nevada first, and a New Hampshire state law requiring that New Hampshire goes first.

New Hampshire's state government could have resolved this by changing its law to comply with the Democratic Party's primary schedule. It did not.

Who currently controls the New Hampshire state government?

Republicans.

They set this up in the hopes that a primary "defeat" in New Hampshire would humiliate and weaken Biden.

truly some people have no genre savviness whatsoever. A girl came back from the dead the other day and fresh out of the grave she laughed and laughed and lay down on the grass nearby to watch the sky, dirt still under her nails. I asked her if she’s sad about anything and she asked me why she should be. I asked her if she’s perhaps worried she’s a shadow of who she used to be and she said that if she is a shadow she is a joyous one, and anyway whoever she was she is her, now, and that’s enough. I inquired about revenge, about unfinished business, about what had filled her with the incessant need to claw her way out from beneath but she just said she’s here to live. I told her about ghosts, about zombies, tried to explain to her how her options lie between horror and tragedy but she just said if those are the stories meant for her then she’ll make another one. I said “isn’t it terribly lonely how in your triumph over death nobody was here to greet you?” and she just looked at me funny and said “what do you mean? The whole world was here, waiting”. Some people, I tell you.
