You were worried that your move to the countryside would be difficult, but your new farmer neighbor is just so kind. He’s always helping you out around the house and knows exactly when you’re in trouble to the point that you’re pretty sure he has a sixth sense (or cameras around your house, but he’s too sweet to do that). In fact, he’s just so sweet that he gives you plenty of tasty things to eat every week – his homemade meals are delicious, filled with love and something else. 

Cream soup, cream pasta, cream puffs… not to mention the creamy milk from his farm – they’re all just so tasty! You’ve asked him for recipes before, but he only winked and said, “Family secret,” with a smile.

Still, you can’t be too disgruntled, not when he’s always treating you so well. “This is delicious!” you say one day, eating one of the éclairs he’s gifted you. “Seriously, how do you cook so well?”

“Experience,” he chuckles, using his thumb to brush some custard cream off of your face. Gently, he presses his thumb to your lips, a small smile on his face. “Now, it’s not nice to waste food, yeah?”

You instinctively lick the cream off of his thumb, making his eyes darken despite his lingering smile.

“Next time, Sugar, y’should come over to my house – I’ll make sure you leave all full and satiated.”

Eagerly, you nod. You can hardly resist his invitation – not when his food is so, so good.

And maybe, this time, you’ll finally get to see what makes him such a great cook.

One of the probable reasons as to why Kaeya didn't arrive on time for Crepus and Diluc when they were attacked was because he, and the knights with him, had no vision, and thus, cannot use a teleport waypoint.

Him receiving his cryo vision when he was supposed to get scorched by Diluc was genuinely the biggest slap to the face given to him by Celestia. It arrived just in time to save HIM.

Even now, the vision only heals and shields him alone as a manifestation of his desire to keep living from that fight... but he can't use it to help others.

Just read a comment thread suggesting a headcanon/AU where Telemachus is adopted and am currently spiraling over the implication of it all

Imagine what Ody's thought process in killing the infant might've been?? "I saved another child and took him in as my own, why can't I do the same for this one?" It wouldn't be fair.

And then think about what Telemachus was going through after his newly adoptive father went MIA for twenty years and he never truly got to meet or thank the man who saved him and took him in as his own?

Imagine being abandoned by your birth parents as infant, and then adopted into a new loving family. Only to then be abandoned by your new ones (physically by one, emotionally by another).

oooooof okay I'm trying to get all the tag wrangling for the armor gallery (<- view in desktop browser pls!) sorted and I'd like some more input if anyone is willing!

so. the way I made things sortable is to add a bunch of different (unique or grouping) tags to each post. in HFW it was obvious how to do this but in HZD it's... not as much? in HFW there's the base armor you get, and then dyes you can add to it, and that's all. so the "default" armor (for when sorting by something like tribe or rarity, where you don't want to see all variations of each armor in that category) was the default color. simple.

but in HZD each armor has the possibility of light/medium/heavy variations (or something like that, depending on the armor).

The Question: should the light armor be the "default"? or heavy? my instinct was light because you get access to it first and the base to which the medium and heavy parts are added, but then again there's an argument for heavy as that's the one most people will aim for and use most once they get it (and/or remember the easiest because they've been playing NG+++es with the best gear for years haha).

whatever I end up using, it will be obvious (when viewed via the site, at least, unfortunately not as obvious when viewed via tumblr's dash) which variant is displayed, because the name will be highlighted and there will be links to the other variants right there.

I swear to you, I likely would not have ever shipped or thought Itakugi had a chance at going canon if it wasn't for that scene where her heart skips a beat, when faced with a girl who was in love with Yuji.

Like?? What was the purpose?? Only people with 0 literacy will say "Oh it's just that she didn't want Yuji to have a gf before she had a bf, she said it herself 🙄". One thing is what the character will say verbally and another is author intent. Show vs tell is KEY in fiction, and what that scene heavily hints at is that Nobara had feelings for Yuji she wasn't aware of before. So I just don't understand Gege at all. Why even write that scene that way if they weren't endgame? Why even plant that seed? I liked Yuji and Nobara's friendship just fine as it was and didn't think there was a chance at anything more between them UNTIL that scene happened. Seriously....

Anyway, this is just me ranting after checking out the JJK epilogue. I don't even want to tag this. I'll just tag the ship, because honest to God I don't want to interact with 14 year old antis in the JJK fandom 😅.

I HATE it when main characters end up with random characters who had either never shown up in the story, or showed up once or twice in the ENTIRE series and barely interacted with the other character. Authors forget that what matters to make a story pay off is that it concludes in a satisfying way with what the audience sees and experiences. Maybe the character knew the other character 12348438 years ago and was besties with them, but if the audience did not see those gazillion years of friendship and love between those characters, they are not going to care. We care about the story and characters we experience, not about random characters and moments we didn't experienced with these characters.

Again, Show vs Tell. You want to SHOW the audience how these characters come to care about each other, not TELL them. You can tell all you want, but if I didn't SEE it playing out, I simply cannot care.

I want to edit this real quick here, before someone like replies or something: I know Yuji didn't flat out end up with Ozawa, but that scene between them kinda hints at it. We see them meet up again, which, again, hints at them being the endgame eventually. We don't really see who he ends up with exactly. One could argue the same for Itakugi in a sense, since they do show up as adults together, but the scene with Ozawa being in an epilogue kinda hints at them being endgame in a more solid way, which prompted this rant. Ok carry on. lol
